Obama's Mideast Non-summit at the UN

After a lot of arm-twisting, Barack Obama was able to get Fatah's Mahmoud Abbas and Israel's Bibi Netanyahu together in a room as a sidebar to Obama's blather about what he considers the number one threat to international order.

Ummm, that would be the lack of international accords on global warming, not Iran's nuclear program.

This is the first time Abbas and Netanyahu have met since last December, when Abbas broke off negotiations with Israel after the Israelis went into Gaza to stop the rockets coming into Israel during Operation Cast Lead. Barack Obama devoted a lot of arm twisting and cajoling to get what the WAPO accurately referred to as little more than a photo-op:

Mr. Obama had wanted to announce agreement on the opening of talks on the creation of a Palestinian state, with a deadline of two years. He wanted to outline agreements on how those negotiations would proceed and some of the principles that would underpin them. And he expected to reveal a series of opening confidence-building measures by the two sides, including a freeze on Israeli settlement construction and steps toward normalization by several Arab states.

What Mr. Obama oversaw, instead, was little more than a photo opportunity with the two leaders -- who continue to disagree with each other and with the Obama administration over the terms of the talks. But the gap between their initial hopes for the U.N. meeting and what occurred is revealing about the difficulties Mr. Obama's diplomacy is encountering -- and the miscalculations the president and his team have made.

The failure of any breakthrough is hardly surprising, although the WAPO only skirts around the details.

The Palestinian's idea of negotiating has been to keep reiterating their demands like one of those retarded avant-garde tape loops. They keep repeating that they'll take nothing less than a completely Jew-free Judea and Samaria ( AKA the West Bank)and all of East Jerusalem turned over to them, plus the right to flood what left of Israel with genocidal 'refugees'. None of that is subject to change in the slightest of course, and both the Palestinians and the members of the Arab League have said so many times.

Since this essentially represents national suicide for the Israelis and they have very little reason to trust Fatah or Arab goodwill at this point,(Oslo and Gaza pretty much soured the Jews on any fairy tales about Land for Peace) there hasn't been a lot of movement from the Israeli side except to say they're willing to talk any time without preconditions...which of course Fatah isn't willing to consider. The minimum for Fatah and Abbas to even talk about the mechanics of the Israelis fulfilling all their demands is a complete halt to any building of homes, schools or infrastructure for Jewish communities in the areas the Palestinians expect to be turned over to them.

Since that would be a de facto recognition of the Palestinian's claim to these areas, Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu hasn't been interested, even under major pressure from Obama. Aside from the fact that no one enjoys being bullied, the idea of re-dividing Jerusalem and putting Judaism's holiest sites under Arab control is a red line even secular, left-leaning Israelis refuse to cross since they have clear memories of what that was like.

Even the Washington Post realized what a mistake Obama made here:

In fact settlements are no longer a strategic obstacle to peace; as a practical matter, most of the construction is in areas that will not be part of a Palestinian state. The administration's inflexible stance, unwisely spelled out in public by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, led to an unwinnable confrontation with Mr. Netanyahu, turned Israeli public opinion against Mr. Obama and prompted Palestinians to harden their own position.

Aside from the fact that the WAPO still believes that the Palestinians are willing to compromise on their demands, that's a pretty fair assessment.

Today's meeting was apparently unintentionally humorous,if you believe the left-leaning Israeli paper Ha'aretz.

According to them, Obama threw a bit of a tantrum in front of both player, yelling that he wanted talks started and everything settled now, now, now, dammit!

If that is what in fact happened, Obama is simply kidding himself. There's very little reason for either party to take him seriously at this point, and he has only his own inept behavior to blame.

It started, really, when Obama spoke In Cairo. He made the usual pro forma remarks about US ties to Israel, but he accepted the Arab positions in almost every other respect, including the fallacious Arab narrative that the Jews got foisted on the Middle East only because of the Holocaust and that the Palestinian nakba was the equivalent of what the Jews endured.

After all that, the Arabs expected Obama to deliver. And why not? Based on what he was saying, why wouldn't the US should take the side of the Arabs in this conflict, cut off all aid and ties to Israel and even intervene on the Arab's behalf to correct this injustice?

Since the Arabs don't understand what democracy is or how Congress works in America, they couldn't be expected to realize that while Obama could (and did) take certain hostile steps towards Israel, a lot of the US Congress not to mention the American people wouldn't go along with a total rupture of ties. The Arabs didn't see why Obama wasn't free to unilaterally destroy the US-Israel relationship overnight, however much he might want to ideologically.

On the other side of the conflict, Obama foolishly assumed that the Israelis were basically just like the Leftist American Jews in his immediate circle, and that they were susceptible to being pressured to knuckle under. Obama's attempt to tell Jews where they could build homes and schools was seen as an embrace of the Arab cause by both sides. To the Israelis, it was especially pernicious when Obama reneged on the Bush Administration's agreement with former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon on Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria(AKA the West Bank) that were supposed to remain part of Israel in any settlement, and then turned up the heat by insisting that Jews were not entitled to build anything in the so-called settlements, including Jerusalem.

In consequence, the Palestinians increased both their intransigence and their demands, figuring that Obama was going to be able to force the hated Jews to knuckle under. When that didn't happen, Obama became viewed by both sides as spineless and not to be trusted.

That applies to Obama's non-policy on Iran as well. While the Palestinians, especially Hamas might welcome a nuclear Iran, to the Israelis and to Sunni Arab countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia, preventing nuclear weapons from falling into the hands of the Mullahs is a lot more important than anything to do with the Palestinians. Obama's focus on the Palestinian conflict instead of Iran is seen by both parties as a serious error and a sign of weakness and amateurism.

Iran and its terrorist proxies continue to be the real threat to Middle East peace. And one that Obama seems to have no intention whatsoever of confronting.

Obama Administration Now Dubs NEA Call 'Inappropriate'

Yeah, now it's suddenly 'inappropriate' but isn't it odd that they had nothing to say about it until the full audio and transcripts were made public by someone else?

If we had an actual attorney general and justice department, it would quite appropriate to investigate this as a violation of the Hatch Act. And one would actually expect President Obama to say to the nation publicly it was a mistake, but that it happened on his watch and he took full responsibility for it and intended to see that the guilty were brought to justice.

Ah, silly me...that was a different president. And a very different kind of man.

Obama And The NEA - Corruption As Art

Andrew Breitbart promised us another scoop 'from out of left field' and he appears to have delivered.

This was telegraphed about two weeks ago as highlighted in Must Reads on this site.

What we have here, essentially, is pay for play, utilizing grant money provided by the taxpayers through the NEA to coerce and/or reward artists willing to push a partisan agenda.

As you listen to the audio Breitbart has collected, one thing becomes crystal clear. The NEA and the White House found themselves a handpicked, pro-Obama arts group and encouraged them to create art that supported the Obama Administration's agenda on national issues such a health care.

Back when Breitbart first broke this in the beginning of September, both the NEA and the Obama Administration issued choreographed denials.

Both of them stated that the conference call 'was not intended to promote any legislative agenda.'

At that point, the dinosaur media might have been expected to investigate further,if they had even a semblance of ethics or professionalism. If they had, Breitbart wouldn't have had his scoop. But then, he obviously knew whom he was dealing with.

As the full transcript and the audio reveal, the NEA participated in what was definitely an attempt to nudge and influence artists to use NEA grant money to create art that amounted to propaganda for Obama's political agenda.

    So...were any laws broken? Maybe.

The obvious one is the same principle involved with Obama's covert deal with Big Pharma, the campaign finance laws involved that regulate campaign finance reporting and sources. In the case of the pharmaceutical companies, Obama essentially received $150 million in unreported campaign donations in exchange for prohibiting his government run healthcare from bargaining with the drug companies to get lower volume prices on drugs for the American people, import drugs from Canada or pursue Medicare rebates or to shift some drugs from to different Medicare plans, saving Big Pharma billions in reduced reimbursements.

In the case of the NEA,it appears that the White House received contributions in kind ( the artist's output) which were in turn subsidized by the taxpayers...again,without reporting it as campaign contributions in violation of the law.

These's also the matter of federal criminal law, 18 U.S.C. 600:

Whoever, directly or indirectly, promises any employment, position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit, provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of Congress, or any special consideration in obtaining any such benefit, to any person as consideration, favor, or reward for any political activity or for the support of or opposition to any candidate or any political party in connection with any general or special election to any political office, or in connection with any primary election or political convention or caucus held to select candidates for any political office, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

If a federal agency (the NEA) is implicitly promising government funding for artists in exchange for “art” promoting the President’s political agenda, this would apply.

There also is a decent case for a violation of the Hatch Act. Section B of 5 U.S.C. 7323 states that:

    (a) Subject to the provisions of subsection (b), an employee may take an active part in political management or in political campaigns, except an employee may not— . . . (4) knowingly solicit or discourage the participation in any political activity of any person who – (A) has an application for any compensation, grant, contract, ruling, license, permit, or certificate pending before the employing office of such employee.

There's also 5 U.S.C. 7324 which says : “(a) An employee may not engage in political activity – (1) while the employee is on duty.”

Of course. a broken law is like the proverbial tree falling in the forest. If nobody investigates or prosecutes anyone, it's like it never happened. And the odds of Eric Holder looking into this particular matter or the ACORN scandal are non-existent unless Congress demands a real prosecutor with teeth to determine who knew what and when they knew it.

Obama’s campaign deliberately sabotaged the VISA verification software for his campaign website and appears to have received millions in illegal foreign donations - they weren't even audited by the Federal Election Commission and absolutely nothing happened.

The Obama administration subverted bankruptcy laws by taking over two large corporations and passing the assets over to their political allies. Again, nothing happened.

And there's the still undefined, murky connection between Rahm Emmanuel, ex-Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and the apparent selling of Obama's vacant Senate seat to Roland Burris, one of his fundraisers. Blagojevich was impeached, but is still out of jail and likely to remain so since he's more or less keeping his mouth shut about any dealings with the White House and the chief federal witness against him just died of - wait for it - a sudden aspirin overdose.

As tasty as Andrew Breitbart's assaults on ACORN, the NEA, Obama and big media have been, the real story is whether Congress is going to be so repulsed by what's going on in this administration that they're going to demand some real answers and accountability.

I wouldn't count on it, at least until the midterms are over next year.

When Richard Nixon was suspected of obstruction of justice for trying to cover up a simple breaking and entering bust that happened without his knowledge, it was the Republicans, led by Barry Goldwater who marched in a body to the White House and forced him to resign.

When Bill Clinton was actually indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice and actually impeached by the House, it was the Senate Democrats that refused to vote for an impeachment under any circumstances and allowed him to be the first felon ever to finish his term in the White House.

It sometimes seems like there isn't much difference between the two parties, I'll grant you. But every now and then, the difference makes itself known.

Zbigniew Brzezinski :Protect Iran And Shoot Down Those Jew Planes!

Another one of Obama's advisers has surfaced with blatantly anti-Semitic nonsense.

Zbigniew Brzezinski used to be Jimmy Carter's National Security Adviser,( yes, I know it sounds like a contradiction) and while he has no official position in the administration he's one of Obama's major foreign policy advisers.

In an interview with the Daily Beast, the following exchange took place with this bitter old failure:

Q:How aggressive can Obama be in insisting to the Israelis that a military strike might be in America’s worst interest?

Brzezinski: We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?

Q: What if they fly over anyway?

Brzezinski: Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse.

What Brzezinski is saying, essentially, is that the US should protect Iran's nuclear sites by shooting down the aircraft of our allies! And the 'Liberty' remark is an interesting slip.

The USS Liberty was an American spy ship operating in the war zone during the 1967 Six Day War, a conflict where the Soviets were deeply involved and the US was, in the words of President Johnson, 'Neutral in thought, word and deed.' Israel was not a US ally then, and we were not supplying them with arms.

The Israelis, suspecting that the Soviets were mounting a false flag operation to transmit intelligence to their Arab clients attacked the ship, killing 34 US crew members.

Both Israel and the US government conducted formal inquiries ( in the case of the US, seven separate inquiries) and concluded that the attack was a tragic error and a case of mistaken identity in wartime. The Israelis had no conceivable motive for attacking an American ship, considering that they were already taking on the Soviet Union in the Mideast. And as a matter of fact, on June 5, 1967 just before the war the Israelis made an attempt to avoid any such potential problems when the IDF asked the US to inform them of any of any U.S. ships operating in the area. The IDF was never informed about the Liberty, although they were informed about a number of other US ships in the area.

The Israeli government formally apologized. They paid out almost $7 million in 1968 dollars as compensation to the dead crewmen's families and the wounded, as well as an additional $6 million to the US government as compensation for damages to the ship and its equipment.

The Liberty incident is a staple of anti-Semitic fantasy websites* devoted to 'proving' that 'the Jews run America', and it's highly revealing that Brzezinski would trot out this old libel, especially considering his views on Israel...and that of his old boss, Jimmy Carter.

It's obvious that he swallows this particular conspiracy horse manure, since he's saying that the US should guard Iran's nuclear facilities by shooting down IAF jets over Iraq 'accidentally'.

The White House has yet to say anything about these outrageous remarks. But here's something to consider. Brzezinski is too much of an ignoramus to realize it, but there are other routes the Israelis can use to get to Iran that don't involve going over Iraq, and some of the owners of that particular airspace also have a lot to lose if Iran goes nuclear.

And in the last analysis, if they''re forced to it, the Israelis have cruise missiles and nukes of their own to use. They're less precise and more damaging, but if President Obama is leaning towards Brzezinski's way of thinking, it's an option they'll use. The Israelis will not sit there and wait for Ahmadinejad and Khamenei to push the button first.

*just a note..before anyone crawls from underneath their rock and spends the time and electrons to provide me with a long, poorly spelled comment or e-mail about how those Evil Jooos attacked the Liberty and how it's part of the a Zio-Nazi conspiracy. I've seen almost all of this crap at least once before and debunked it, so I see no reason to bore my readers, waste bandwidth publishing it or to pay any attention to it whatsoever.

There are plenty of other sites for that..and who knows? You might even get an attaboy from an ex-president or his NSA if they're lurking around....

Al-Qaeda Threatens Major Strike In Germany

There's been a lot of chatter amongst the jihadis about this, but Germany got a formal threat from al-Qaeda Friday, when an overt warning came from al-Qaeda leader Bekkay Harrach, alias Al Hafidh Abu Talha al Almani. (The 'al Almani' signifies that he is a German Muslim.)

The video, produced by al Qaeda's al Fajr Media Center and distributed via the major jihadi web outlets focused on Germany's upcoming elections and its NATO non-combatant involvement in Afghanistan. It warned that if Chancellor Angela Merkel is re-elected September 27, Germany will be the site of a major new attack.

The last video al Almani appeared in last January warning Germany came out just before a major car bomb attack on the German embassy in Kabul that left four Afghan civilians and an American soldier dead.

Al-Alamani said in the video: "In the democratic system, only the people can return the soldiers to their homeland. If the people insist on continuing the war (in Afghanistan), they sentence themselves to retaliation and clearly show the world that civilians in the democratic system are not innocent people."

"The parliamentary election is the people's only opportunity to shape the policy of the country."

He also cautioned Germany's Muslims 'to avoid anything not necessary for the next two weeks after the election' and said that with the withdrawal of the last German soldiers from Afghanistan, 'the last mujaheed also will be withdrawn from Germany.'

The two front runners in the upcoming elections are the current Chancellor Angela Merkel of the center-right Christian Democratic Union(CDU) and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, from the leftist Social Democratic Party. At this point, the polls show Merkel with a decent lead.

While both of them say that they won’t set a deadline for withdrawing Germany's 4,500 troops, Steinmeier just this week claimed that he has a 10-point plan aimed at creating the conditions for an international troop withdrawal from Afghanistan within four years. Given that Barack Obama will probably have the US out of Afghanistan much quicker than that, that four years could end up being much shorter if Steinmeier gets elected.Especially if a terrorist strike in Germany has the same effect it did in Spain, which is undoubtedly what al-Qaeda is hoping for.

The issue of German troops in Afghanistan is a relatively minor one in Germany, although it's fairly unpopular. It could become a much larger blip on the radar if it leads to a large casualty terrorist strike in Germany...

    Ahmadinejad And His Enablers

Today, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad celebrated - if that's the proper word - an annual hate fest in Iran call al-Kuds day. It's celebrated throughout much of the Muslim world at the end of Ramadan and is a day for many Muslims to issue a call for the destruction of Israel and the Jews.

Ahmadinajad and the mullahs have a great deal to celebrate. After gaming the West for almost six years after their illegal nuclear program was discovered, they are within months of achieving their goal of a nuclear armed Iran.

As part of the festivities,Ahmadinejad made a speech demonizing Israel in which he flatly referred to the Holocaust as a lie. To Ahmadinejad, the West used the question of the Holocaust as a "pretext" to steal Muslim land.

Both Ahmadinejad and Iran's Supreme Leader the Ayatollah Khamenei have revisited this theme numerous times. Both have denied the Holocaust occurred, and referred to Israel as a cancerous tumor, called for it to be wiped off the map repeatedly and said that Israel is fated to `disappear' soon ...and that the `countdown' towards the end of the Zionist regime will be over soon, Allah willing.

Ahmadinejad has not only repeatedly denied the Holocaust actually took place, he's hosted conferences in Iran on that very subject. And believe it or not, I don't blame him one bit.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is merely repeating the stock line of most of the Arab and Muslim world, where Mein Kampf and its dream of a Jew-free world is still a bestseller.

No, Ahmadinejad can't be faulted for trotting out the same old material one more time. If nothing else, I have to give him credit for clarity and sincerity.

The leaders of the West, including the current occupant of the White House? Something else again. In fact they seem bent on doing collective impressions of Claude Rains' famous Vichy French captain at Rick's Place in `Casablanca'..they're shocked, simply shocked. I can't imagine why they would be.

Promoting the destruction of Israel has been Iran's position since 1979. It was, after all, Iran's `moderate' ex-president Rafsanjani who said that the problem of Israel could be solved by one nuclear bomb. Now, they're close to being able to do just that.

These same Western leaders voicing shock and dismay at the spectacle of Ahmadinejad ranting about destroying Israel can't pretend they aren't aware of all this. And they're also fully aware that Iran's denial of the first Holocaust is part of its arming of people like Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad and its pursuit of nuclear weapons to perpetrate a second one.

This is the regime whom people like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Robert Gates want to `negotiate' with, thinking it's going to stop with Israel and the Jews. Thye couldn't be more mistaken.

In a very real sense, the `Holocaust denial' of the West's leaders is much worse than Ahmadinejad's. And they have even less excuse for it than they did in 1938. They know that not only did it happen, but that it's entirely plausible. And like the last time, they are doing absolutely nothing to stop it, aside from some well intentioned hot air.

Ahmadinejad at least has an explanation, if not an excuse. He obviously thinks of himself as a G-d fearing and pious man who finds his pretext for Jew hatred in the Qu'ran and the Hadith, where it clearly states that Allah's Messenger Mohammed told his followers that on the Day of Judgment the very rocks and trees will call out to pious Muslims to kill the Jews hiding behind them (Sahih Muslim, Book 041, Number 6985). A lot of people who live in Iran and in the other Muslim countries agree with him.

That's because Ahmadinejad's views are shared by much of the Muslim world - that the Holocaust was a myth, that the sinister Jews used it to `steal' Arab land, and that even if a few Jews did become lampshades and chimney smoke, why should the Muslims suffer for it?

Here's why, the dirty little secret that the Muslim world will never acknowledge. The Arab world is directly complicit in the Holocaust. And what's more, they know it, even if they refuse to admit it. That's why it's so important to them to deny it ever happened

After World War I, the former Ottoman province that became the Palestine Mandate was given by the League of Nations to British authority for the express purpose of creating a Jewish nation. In the area west of the Jordan River, the only real populated communities were places like Jerusalem and Safed, where the majority of the inhabitants were Jews. Britain's first act was to take 80% of this land, everything east of the Jordan River, give it to the Arabs as Trans-Jordan and forbid any Jews from living or settling there.

The Zionist movement was promised by Britain that the rest of Palestine - everything else west of the Jordan River- would be the Jewish homeland. This promise was never kept. The British, during their tenure in Palestine put all kinds of arbitrary barriers on Jews migrating to Palestine, while allowing unlimited immigration to what was left of Palestine to Arabs from Syria, Egypt, and the Hejaz.

Of course, even 80% of Palestine was not enough for the Arabs to accept Jews living next to them in peace and equality. Incited by their leaders , the Arabs rioted and created such unrest from the 1930's onward that the British halted all Jewish immigration to the Holy Land on the eve of the Holocaust with the issuance of the White Paper in 1938, trapping millions of Jews in Europe without a place to flee to. If not for that, the death toll in the Holocaust would have been nowhere near what it was.

All during WWII, when a third of the entire Jewish population of Palestine was in uniform fighting for the allies, the British allowed unlimited migration from the Arab world into Israel. In 1944, Himmler attempted to make a deal with the Allies to exchange the still intact Jewish population of Hungary, about 500,000 people, for a few trucks. The official name of the Nazi proposal was Blut fur wahren - literally, blood for goods. The Americans signed on to the deal but the British vetoed it, explicitly because they were afraid of Arab unrest and did not want these Jews in Palestine.

Hungary's Jews went to Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen instead of Israel. A picture of how almost all of them ended up is at the head of this piece.

During WWII, the Arabs largely sided with the Axis against the allies. The `Palestinian' leader, the British appointed Grand Mufti of Jerusalem spent most of the war in Europe recruiting Muslims from Bosnia and the Caucasus to fight in SS divisions for Hitler and the Nazis. In the French provinces of Syria and Lebanon, Arab troops fought with Vichy against the allies and Iraq was taken over by a pro-Nazi Arab regime. And in Egypt, numerous veterans of the British 8th Army who fought and defeated the Nazis at El-Alamein have related how the Egyptians had Cairo all decked out in Nazi flags to welcome the German `liberators' when the British marched back into the city.

In spite of this, the British were happy to arm and train the Arab armies that attempted to massacre the Jews of Israel in 1948, three years after Auschwitz was liberated. The most effective Arab fighting force in that war, the Jordanian Arab legion, was led by British officers under the notorious Jew hater Colonel John Glubb, AKA 'Glubb Pasha'. Nor were the British alone, though they were the most blatant. The UN did nothing to stop their Arab member states from their attempted genocide and even the United States had an arms embargo on the infant Jewish state. Anyone interested in the full sordid story should read Lucy Dawidowicz's ` The War Against the Jews : 1933-1945: and Joan Peter's prize winning From Time Immemorial: The Origins of the Arab-Jewish Conflict over Palestine.

If the Arabs `gave' the Jews three times as much land as Israel consists of today,it would not be enough of a blood price to compensate for their part in the slaughter of the Jews of Europe or their attempt to murder the survivors in 1948. And they've compounded this sin - and I use the word advisedly - by ethnically cleansing almost a million Jews from the Arab world since 1948,and trying to complete the task of genocide up to our present day.

And then as now, they had the willing help of the West, who had no such `religious' excuse.

In his book, `Crusade in Europe' written in 1946, General Eisenhower wrote about what he called `horror camps' and his reaction on seeing his first one. He made a point of recording those feelings, of seeing that the press toured the camps and took pictures, because somehow he foresaw even then a time when people would deny that the Holocaust occurred.Footage still exists of American soldiers forcing Germans into the camps to look at what had been done..as if some of those Germans hadn't been living downwind from the smell of burning flesh. General Eisenhower wanted to make sure that `plausible denial' would no longer be an excuse.

Based on how the West is reacting to another Holocaust in the making, he failed, through no fault of his own.Listening to Barack Obama and other Western leaders, you can hear the same tired phrases of appeasement and cowardice as the winds of history whistle and chuckle.

The very fact that Ahmadinejad is going to be welcomed at the UN later this month is an indication of how blind and in denial the so-called civilized world and their leaders have become.

But there is a difference this time, an important one. Then, the Jews were largely defenseless and had no refuge. Today the Jews have a country and an army of their own. While the West may indulge itself in Holocaust denial again to its own ultimate peril, the Jews of Israel realize they do not have that luxury and need not suffer for it.

And that's the real reason for Israel's existence. Never again, indeed.

Eastern European Allies Seething At Obama's Betrayal

The above Polish headline translates, more or less as: "We were naive...The USA sold us to the Russians and stabbed us in the back!"

That's pretty much the right of it.

I continue to be amused by Obamabots like the Politico's Ben Smith who want to paint this as some kind of bold diplomatic coup by Prez Zero and whose only question is what Obama horse traded our allies in Eastern Europe for.

Here's the answer Ben..N O T H I N G. And that comes right out of the Russians' own mouths.

And why should they give up anything? Even if Obama got some kind of clandestine commitment out of them, why should they bother keeping it? They've already made their position public and already got what they wanted from Obama for free!

Every nation in the old Soviet Empire has just been placed on notice that they're on their own, and they had better make whatever accommodations they can with the Bear. It's a shameful betrayal and an horrendous display of weakness that will cost us dearly.

And don't think out other allies and our enemies aren't taking notice

It's one thing to whore yourself out. It's quite another to do it and not even get paid for it.

Obama's Solution For Illegal Aliens Getting Healthcare: Legalize them All !

    Si, se puede!

The arrogance of this president is simply unbelievable.

First, he lied and said the bill didn't cover illegal aliens when it clearly did...and now he comes up with a grand solution to solve the problem - let's just legalize them all!

According to the Washington Times story, he apparently also wants extend welfare benefits to illegal aliens as well.

Just the fact that the President of the United States supports this will likely cause a spike in the border traffic when it's reported down there, as I guarantee you it will be. But that's nothing compared to what we'll see if this president gets his agenda through.

    Remember this one?

I don't demonize the people involved...if I were living in Mexico I'd be over the border as fast as I get here. But Obama's irresponsibility and sense of himself merit nothing but contempt.

British Trade Unions To Boycott Israel

    Lovely..let's show those damned Jews!

British labor unions agreed Thursday to support a boycott of some Israeli goods in response to IDF Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip.

The boycott, approved at the annual conference of the Trades Union Congress, calls for a ban on importing goods produced in some Israeli settlements, an end to arms trading with Israel and disinvestment from some companies.

Union officials said the boycott would target products including dates, herbs, fruit and vegetables grown on Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

"We will support a boycott of those goods and agricultural products that originate in illegal settlements through developing an effective, targeted consumer-led boycott campaign," the TUC said in a statement, which also included a condemnation of Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli citizens.

Oooh, a condemnation of Hamas. Boy, that ought to teach them something!Do these cretins think that if the Israelis hadn't gone in force to Gaza, the attacks on Israel would have magically stopped?

Meanwhile the UK government is giving Hamas aid that's enabling them to rebuild their war machine to fire more rockets at Israeli civilians. And dealing actively with Hezbollah and Libya.

So, let's get this straight. Because the Israelis chose to defend their civilian population from rocket attacks, this British trade Union group is going to decide where Jews are allowed to live and try to ruin economically any that don't agree to their diktat. There's no similar restriction on Arabs and no fuss about any other country but Israel. That should give you the proper name for this.

I haven't forgotten that it was Britain who doomed millions of Jews to the Nazi death camps because they refused to let them come into Palestine, a mandate the Brits only held from the League of Nations with the proviso that they were supposed to facilitate the creation of a Jewish homeland. Instead, they did their very best to make sure it never happened.

Less than three years after the liberation of Auschwitz, the British were arming, training and in the case of Jordan officering Arab armies whose announced intention was a jihad designed to murder every Jew in Israel down to the last child.

For a lot of them, things haven't changed a bit. Drool, Britannia
