Whoopsie! Has Chuck Schumer's Own Racist History Comes Back To Bite Him?

Democrat Minority leader Chuck Schumer has always been one to call Republicans 'racist.' He's done it repeatedly to Donald Trump, tried to paste the label on the late Justice Alito and has promised to attack Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions, the judge who destroyed the Klu Klau Klan in Alabama as a 'racist' as well.

As it turns out, it appears Senator Schumer may be  living in a glass house when it comes accusing anyone of  racism. As conservative talk show host Larry Elder relates, we have an eyewitness account of how Chuck Schumer started of his career as a New York State Assemblyman in 1974 by concocted a disgustingly racist scheme to push blacks out of a white neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. He convinced people living in the neighborhood that if they supported him, he would use his clout to defraud the blacks living in the neighborhood and get rid of them.

Here's the actual article, from 2006, and Senator Schumer has never challenged this or denied it... but wait, there's more.

Robert Johnson, the billionaire founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET) openly accused Schumer of racism back in 2008. According to Johnson, Schumer openly and blatantly favored "white owned companies" over his own:

Black Entertainment Television founder Robert Johnson, the nation’s first African-American billionaire, made the explosive allegations in a Jan. 17 letter to Schumer, a copy of which was obtained by The Post.

Johnson accused Schumer of trying to get the U.S. Justice Department to derail his efforts to create what he said would be the nation’s first minority-owned airline in more than 30 years.

Johnson’s proposed company, DC Air, would offer discount fairs to many of upstate New York’s economically hard-pressed cities in a partnership arrangement with long-established carrier American Airlines.

“As an African-American businessperson who has a personal net worth significantly greater than the market capitalization of [rival companies] Jet Blue and Air Tran combined, I am offended that you could argue that these two companies deserve an opportunity that should be denied to me,” Johnson told Schumer.

“It cannot be that you believe that they are better businesspersons; perhaps it is because they are white businesspersons.”

Johnson, in an interview with The Post, said, “If Schumer was a Republican and not a Democrat, everyone would be jumping up and down saying, ‘How dare you not support us?’

“I’m trying to figure out what the rationale is for someone who is a member of the liberal Democratic Party to oppose DC Air – when that party has a fundamental commitment to minority ownership and equal opportunities for minorities,” Johnson said.

Asked if he was accusing Schumer of racism, Johnson responded, “If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck and quacks like a duck . . . “

Johnson's fairly level headed and not known for throwing something like this out there as a habit, so he might very well have hit the nail on the head. Or maybe the other companies just put more money in the Senator's pocket. After all, Senator Schumer is fairly notorious when it come to having his hand out when it comes to his fundraising.

And get this...according to the Post article, guess who Senator Schumer got to vouch for him? None other than NY Representative Charlie Rangel, one of the most foully corrupt members of congress.

It figures. And it also makes me wonder what else might be out there.

Quack quack, Senator.

Schumer may or may not be a racist. But what's obvious is that he's all about Chuck Schumer, and if displaying racist behavior is needed,(or pretty much anything else) he's down for it..any means to an end. That's something to keep in mind as he tries to smear far better men with that label.

If I were Senator Schumer with his background, I'd be a lot more cautious about throwing around bogus accusations of racism. It isn't nice and can have unforeseen consequences.

Megyn Kelly Leaves FOX For NBC

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1Q9sTuWIAEK3Fq.jpg

FOX news anchor Megyn Kelly has jumped to NBC, where the 46-year-old personality will headline her own afternoon news program at NBC News as well as a prime time “in-depth” Sunday night news show.

“While I will greatly miss my colleagues at Fox, I am delighted to be joining the NBC News family and taking on a new challenge,” Kelly wrote Tuesday in a post on her Facebook page. “I remain deeply grateful to Fox News, to Rupert, Lachlan and James Murdoch, and especially to all of the FNC viewers, who have taught me so much about what really matters"

Of course, there was quite a bit more to it than that. Megyn Kelly essentially owes her career to Roger Ailes, who hired her with little or no previous experience, mentored her and helped her become one of the most successful on air personalities in America. As Ms. Kelly herself put it in an interview on the Charlie Rose program, “I really care about Roger. And he has been nothing but good to me. And he’s been very loyal. And he’s had my back. And he’s looked out for me.”

A year later, she accused him of sexual harassment, to wit that Aisles had engaged in a “cat and mouse” game with her, and made “sexually charged comments” toward her. She also accused Ailes of at least one incident in which he allegedly grabbed her hand and tried to kiss her on the lips.

This was at a time when Ailes had already been accused of 'sexual harassment' by one former anchor woman who was let go from FOX, Gretchen Carlson. Coming from a top FOX talent like Megyn Kelly, that was pretty much all it took to finish Ailes's career. The rumor was that a number of FOX news personalities felt it was unjustified and disloyal on her part, for reasons best known to themselves. A number of them had clauses in their contracts that actually permitted them to leave if Ailes left, and according to several sources FOX narrowly avoided losing a big chunk of its on air talent. There was also allegedly quite a bit of dissension based on Ms. Kelly's temperament, and she was said to have been heartily disliked by a number of her colleagues. That was reportedly one reason Greta Van Sustern left FOX abruptly. There was also ongoing friction between her and FOX stars Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly.

Since a lot of this stuff went on behind the scenes, it's hard to nail down what happened, and there's no real evidence either way. Given the climate today, it's very easy to accuse any man of sexual harassment, which used to mean something entirely different than it means today. And it certainly used to mean something very different than what Megyn Kelly alleges Aisles did to her. Ailes, for his part, has continued to deny it. But today if this sort of thing comes down to a he said, she said contest, universities, employers and other institutions tend to believe the woman, disbelieve the man involved and do what needs to be done to make the incident disappear in the name of political correctness. That, of course, is exactly what FOX did.

At any event, this seems to have worked out well for all parties. Megyn Kelly always wanted a mainstream network show and certainly NBC has an atmosphere much more conducive to her politics and her personality than FOX. One of the things keeping her there was apparently the reluctance  of anyone but FOX to pay $20 million per year for her talents. Apparently NBC decided they were willing and able, and they likely acceded to the $25 milion per year she tried to get out of FOX to stick around.

But its also true she'll be leaving an already established audience, and moving to daytime. A lot of people (Katie Courik, Meredith Vieira, and Anderson Cooper among others) weren't able to do it, so we'll see if Megyn Fox can be a trend setter here.

And on the other hand, FOX still has plenty of top rated talent and a lot of FOX viewers and perhaps a number of her colleagues are going to be happy she's history.

So it's a win win for everyone.

Forum: What Are Your Predictions for 2017??

Every week on Monday, the WoW! community and our invited guests weigh in at the Watcher's Forum, short takes on a major issue of the day, the culture, or daily living. This week's question
:What are your predictions for 2017?

Don Surber : President Trump will kick ass and take names, proving Washington conservatives wrong. NAFTA and NATO will be changed in our favor. Obamacare will be gutted with the popular parts restored, taxes continued, and the mandate repealed. Liberals will battle the wall and EPA reform in court. Washington conservatives will try to muck things up by touching the third rail - Social Security -- again and again. Guys, 2033 is twenty years away. Government works best in a crisis. Handle the stuff already on the plate first.

Trump, Putin and Bibi will take care of the Islamic State. Trump, Putin and Taiwan will pressure China.

Off year elections in New Jersey and Virginia will give Democrats hope, but Trump's popularity will top 50% as the economy improves.

Stately McDaniel Manor: A Happy New Year, and here you go:

My Top Twenty, Infallible, New Year’s Predictions:

(1) The rule of law will make a comeback; the forces of progressivism will fight tooth and nail to retain and expand lawlessness.

(2) Tyranny will be beaten back: the forces of progressivism will fight tooth and nail to retain and expand tyranny.

(3) Political correctness will take a hit; the forces of progressivism will rejoice in the difficulty involved in rolling it back even a little.

(4) Big government will be momentarily interrupted in its inevitable growth; the forces of progressivism will, as always, bide their time.

(5) The legacy media will continue to lose ground: All the while, they’ll whine about how important they are and how essential to the democracy they have, for decades, done their best to destroy.

(6) Progressives will continue to be the best gun, ammunition and accessory salesmen in history.

(7) Obamacare will be repealed in name only; the forces of progressivism will smirk.

(8) Paul Ryan will continue to demonstrate what a miserable little weasel he is; the forces of progressivism will smirk.

(9) Mitch McConnell will continue to demonstrate he is a dedicated RINO by allowing progressives to prevail whenever he can get away with it; the forces of progressivism will praise his enlightened leadership.

(10) Our relationships with our allies, particularly Israel, will improve; the forces of progressivism will fight tooth and nail to weaken them.

(11) Our enemies will, once again, begin to fear us; the forces of progressivism will wail, gnash their teeth, and rend their garments.

(12) Many of Barack Obama’s illegal, harmful regulations and rules will be obliterated; the forces of progressivism will wail, gnash their teeth, and rend their garments, and predict the end of the world.

(13) Our enemies will learn there is, after all, a military solution to many issues; the forces of progressivism will wail, gnash their teeth, and rend their garments.

(14) It will become abundantly clear that virtually everything John Kerry did or said was actually exceedingly stupid and traitorous; the media will do all they can to keep us from realizing that.

(15) The depth of Barack Obama’s treason in unconstitutionally treating with Iran will become obvious; the media will do all they can to keep us from realizing that.

(16) Barack Obama will hold nearly daily news conferences from the office of the post president; the media will try to make them care; most Americans won’t give a boatload of deceased rodents.

(17) Islamist terrorists will, once again, be identified as Islamist terrorists; the forces of progressivism will wail, gnash their teeth, and rend their garments at the inhumanity of it all.

(18) Our immigration laws will, once again, actually be enforced; the forces of progressivism will wail, gnash their teeth, and rend their garments; they will not volunteer to house illegal aliens.

(19) Donald Trump will struggle against big government impulses; the forces of progressivism will do all they can to ensure he loses the struggle.

(20) America will, once again, be on the path to greatness; the forces of progressivism will join with their terrorist allies to lay as many IEDs as possible.

JoshuaPundit: I think we're in for a major shift.  First of all,  America's economic engine is about to be turned loose. I think we've already been in a major recession and will now see a recovery. Trump will cut corporate and personal income taxes, cut the ridiculous regulations strangling business, and rebuild our military. All of these steps will generate taxable economic activity and promote growth. Supporting and expanding our energy sector will also lead to cheaper fuel, and cheaper prices for goods and fuel. A moderate rise in interest rates will also flood America with investment  capital and reduce our debt.

Trump will also, if he's smart let the Chinese know that the way to avoid tariffs is to build plants here and hire Americans (which is exactly what Reagan did with the Japanese and Germans).

The dollar is super strong right now, but I'm a contrarian when it comes to predictions that this will kill our exports. America's prosperity in the fifties and sixties vis a vis exports was that the American worker was the best in the world and we made stuff  everyone wanted. The dollar was strong then too.

In foreign policy, look for Barack Hussein Obama  to take another kick at Israel. It will likely take the form of colluding with the usual suspects to outline a 'peace agreement' recognizing a Palestinian state on the the 1948 ceasefire lines including East Jerusalem. It will subsequently be introduced as a UNSC resolution (whichis probably already written).  If it passes, Israel will ignore it, and take some fairly aggressive action in response since the whole premise of all the concessions they've made over the years for peace will have been negated and thanks to this diktat, suddenly they're being told there's nothing to negotiate and Israel's concerns simply don't matter. Don't be surprised if  Putin,of all people vetoes it just to spite Obama.

Look also for a major change in Europe. 'Refugees' are already starting to be expelled from some surprising places. Norway, for instance, just kicked out 850 'refugees' a month or so ago and saw a 30% decrease in crime.  There are elections coming in France, Germany and the Netherlands as well as anEU referendum in Italy. France may very well see Marine Le Pen of the National Front as President of France at best and an important coalition member at worst, Frauke Petry and AFD are growing by leaps and bounds as failed leader Angela Merkel's popularity is cratering. Geert Wilders will, like Le Pen, either be the Dutch leader or, as the head of the largest party in the Netherlands, an indispensable coalition member. All three are anti-EU, and want  the 'refugees' out.  All three are also pro-Israel, as are the Visograd nations, something that will also likely negate any anti-Israel UN activity. The voters in the UK are getting increasingly impatient at the deliberately slowed down Brexit. Look for that to speed up as well.

There's going to be a major change in media as well. The old line media has been outed as purveyors of fake news and the biased whores that they are. And we now have a president who's not at all inclined to kiss their backsides. Look for alternative media like Drudge, Breitbart and of course, Wow! Magazine to have an increasing role in the national conversation.

I personally am exhilarated at the direction our national politics are going. The Donald made two sincere efforts to try and unify the country (his victory speech and his Thanksgiving address) , but the Left isn't having any of it.  They slapped his hand away with an angry sneer. I for one am happy about that, because it clarifies things.

Since the party's leadership and many of the rank and file have no interest in unity for the sake of the country, fine. They need to be defeated and marginalized even further, and there are lots of ways to do it. That's exactly how this needs to be approached.  And believe it or not, I think that with a couple of dishonorable exceptions, the Republicans are going to unite behind Trump on this, because they see the consequences of screwing up again. If not, Trump has the option of the precedent Obama set, executive orders.

Senator Ted Cruz isn't someone I quote often, but he made the point in a FOX news interview that if the Republicans in congress fail to deliver yet again, people are going to be coming after them with pitchforks and torches, and it will be entirely justified.

The Glittering Eye : My crystal ball is sadly in need of recalibration and has been for some time. I no longer have any idea what's likely to happen next so I would have made the following remarks regardless of who was elected president.

Expect a recession in 2017. Based on the National Bureau of Economic Research's figures, we're overdue for a recession. It's possible that the pump-priming that President-Elect Trump has promised and the Congress will likely approve that might be forestalled but, well, we're still overdue and they haven't repealed the business cycle yet. China's woes are likely to spread here. Which leads me to my next prediction.

China's economy will get worse before it gets better.

Expect Trump Derangement Syndrome to exceed Clinton Derangement Syndrome, Bush Derangement Syndrome, and Obama Derangement Syndrome in its virulence. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

The differences in economy, politics, and attitudes between California and the rest of the country will become more apparent rather than less so. It's a whole 'nother country.

Expect the Democrats to obstruct anything the Trump Administration attempts to accomplish (see TDS above).

By the end of 2017 the alliance of the Syrian government, Russia, Iran, et al. will have restored Syria to government control.

By the end of 2017 there will be no prison camps, gas chambers, mass executions, or suspensions of civil liberties in the United States. You might think that would deter the Hitler references but it won't. If everything you know about current events came from reading the New York Times, you would believe that fascism was descending on the United States.

Laura Rambeau Lee, Right Reason : We worked hard to see Donald Trump win the presidential election.  Now the real work begins.  This “draining the swamp” is not going to be easy.  The problem will be the pushback from the entrenched establishment which has grown accustomed to growing government and justifying its existence. Unless the DC elites undergo a radical change of thinking and understand the mandate that delivered President-elect Trump to the White House, the next four years will be extremely turbulent. They will not give up their power easily and I hope Trump is up to the challenges he will surely face.  It may not be until the election in 2018 before we can establish strong and influential conservative representation and start the task of shrinking the size and reach of the federal government.
Under the Obama administration, the cabinet departments have been charged with providing social, economic, and environmental justice to one or many underserved classes of people. This culture needs to be eliminated if we are to restore the rule of law and equal justice for all.  I hope the new cabinet secretaries understand this going into their positions and will work to reduce and eventually eliminate these bureaucratic and regulatory mandates.
I remain hopeful that Trump will fulfill the promises he made to the American people to secure the border, rebuild our military, re-establish our position as a super power in the world, improve the care we provide our veterans through the Veterans Administration, reduce the power of the U. S. Department of Education, and rein in the bureaucracies and regulations coming out of all of the federal departments that are crippling businesses, and help bring back jobs to grow our economy again.
On a lighter note, I would love to see the Pittsburgh Steelers win a seventh Super Bowl.

A Final Act Of Hatred - Obama Attacks Israel's Legitimacy At The UN

 http://conservativepost.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/obama_noisrael.jpg

Outgoing President Barack Hussein Obama has devoted a chunk of his remaining time and attention in office to indulge in a spiteful, personal demonstration of his hatred for Israel. It's the final attack of the most anti-Israel administration in U.S. history. And it isn't finished yet.

A reluctant Egypt had been prepared to present an incredibly biased anti-Israel UN Security Council resolution, a bigoted text that had been in the works for some time. But Egyptian President Asissi, after a conversations with president-elect Donald Trump  and Israeli prime Minister Netanyahu pulled the resolution indefinitely. As various diplomatic sources reported, Al Sissi decided that antagonizing the incoming president and straining his security arrangements with Israel weren't worth a UN resolution he didn't want to present anyway.

President Obama had been colluding on this all along with the Palestinians, even advising on wording. He contacted the anti-Israel countries of New Zealand, Venezuela, and the Muslim nations of Senegal and Malaysia to quickly co-sponsor the resolution and get in on the floor quickly for a vote. It passed 14-0, with the U.S. abstaining as planned.

In spite of the outright lies being told by the administrations lackeys, Resolution 2334 represents a major change in U.S. policy.

It demonizes Israel, yet again, as the 'occupying power' in disregard of all historical and legal norms. It refers to Judea, Samaria (AKA the West Bank) as well as east Jerusalem as 'occupied Palestinian territory,' a neat trick since there never was a Palestine and the 1994 peace treaty between Jordan and Israel didn't even mention a Palestinian state.

It calls for Jerusalem, with the Old City, which contains all the Jewish holy sites including the Western Wall to be ceded to 'Palestine.' That means those sites will be desecrated as they were during the nineteen year Jordanian occupation, and will be closed to Jews forever. Yes, it is now the official position of the United States of America that the Western Wall and the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, inhabited by Jews for thousands of years except for a 19-year hiatus between 1948-1967 when the Jews were ethnically cleansed from the area is now 'occupied Palestinian territory'. This delegitimizes Israel and the Jewish people and concurs with the anti-semitic UNESCO resolution of October,2016 that nullified all Jewish and Christian ties and connections to Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and referred to all of the Holy sites there by their Muslim names. Obama saw to it that United States voted against that UNESCO resolution, but there was an election going on then. That's obviously why the Obama administration vetoed a similar resolution to 2334 in 2011 before his re-election run, but didn't veto 2334. There's no election going on now, and Barack Hussein Obama's situation has obviously changed. Now he can take off the mask without any cost or consequences.

This new diktat creates the boundaries for 'Palestine' giving them all of Judea and Samaria as well as East Jerusalem. In other words, it legitimizes the creation of 580,000 Jewish refugees as well as totally unsafe borders for Israel. It also violates the Oslo Accords and the Road Map, agreements the U.S. was a signatory to that stated unequivocally that any settlement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority could only be achieved through direct negations between the two parties. And for the first time, it legitimizes Obama's call for imposing a Palestinian state on the 1948 ceasefire lines, another total departure from previous U.S. policy.

It calls for member nations, “to distinguish, in their relevant dealings, between the territory of the State of Israel and the territories occupied since 1967” which legitimizes boycotts. And it calls for an immediate end to all Israeli construction In Judea, Samaria. According to this resolution, Israel isn't even allowed to build a kindergarten or repair a road.

This again is an Obama policy, not something historic. Obama's UN ambassador Samantha Power is noted for calling  for the U.S. to unilaterally invade the region, force Israel into indefensible borders, engage in ethnic cleansing by throwing every Jew out of Judea, Samaria, and East Jerusalem, turn those areas over to 'Palestine' and establish a U.S. peacekeeping force there to keep Israel from retaliating against the inevitable terrorist attacks on its civilians that would result from the new borders.

What this UN resolution calls for is pretty close to that, but Ambassador Power had the unmitigated gall to lie about it anyway. She defended the U.S. abstention as an act to save the so-called “two-state” solution, something she said Israeli 'settlements activities' are supposedly jeopardizing. She even had the nerve to quote President Ronald Reagan and deliberately take him out of context to justify the vote she just cast. In a 1982 statement, President Ronald Reagan did call for an end to "the use of any additional land for the purpose of settlements.” In that statement, quoted by Ambassador Power, President Reagan said that "the immediate adoption of a settlement freeze by Israel, more than any other action, could create the confidence needed for wider participation in these talks."

The part she conveniently left out was that in his speech, President Reagan was referring to a freeze on new settlements during a “period of transition,” which would “begin after free elections for a self-governing Palestinian authority” and could prove that “Palestinian autonomy poses no threat to Israel’s security.” President Reagan also said that “the United States will not support the establishment of an independent state in the West Bank and Gaza,” but suggested instead “self-government by the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza in association with Jordan.”

Sounds like Ronaldus Maximus understood the true nature of the 'Palestinians' and why 'statehood' for them was a singularly bad idea. Even the Oslo Accords only referred to limited autonomy, not a separate Palestinian state.

You see, it's not Israel's communities in Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem that have prevented a settlement.   As Mahmoud Abbas himself admitted, it was President Obama's idea to make a building freeze a major issue when it wasn't before, even to the point of creating a major diplomatic incident between the US and Israel over what was essentially a local zoning issue and then harshly criticizing Israel for rejecting an offer to resume the freeze that the US never made in the first place.

What's prevented a solution is the continued refusal of the Arabs whom call themselves 'Palestinians' to negotiate anything. negotiating, of course means making concessions to thew other side, and Abbas has said repeatedly that he's unwilling to make a single concession to Israel. And why should he, especially now?

President Obama started out his presidency letting anyone who was paying attention that he had  a major problem with America's alliance with Israel and wanted to create lots of 'daylight' between the two countries.

He was thoroughly schooled in his disdain for Israel by his mentors from his earliest days, Frank Marshall Davis, Edward Said, Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, Khalid al-Mansour, Bill Ayres and others. Abbas, as a trained Soviet apparatchnik recognized Obama's training instantly and knew that all he had to do was hold out until Obama gifted him what Abbas, wanted, without any concessions whatsoever.

No one with a shred of intellectual honesty can separate this UN action from Jew hatred. This resolution not only meets Natan Sharansky's famous '3D' definition of anti-semitism, ( Demonization, Double Standards, Delegitimization) but actually conforms to the U.S. Department of State's official working definition of it.

So, where does this go from here?

Reaction in the U.S. itself was mixed in some interesting ways.

President-elect Donald Trump was predictably outraged. Aside from his own warmth towards Israel and the Jewish people, this an attempt by a lame duck president to impose a policy on him as an incoming president was despicable, and Trump made no bones about saying so.

Trump apparently found out what was up, and had called for Obama to veto the resolution the day before it went tothe UN, saying, "As the United States has long maintained, peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians will only come through direct negotiations between the parties, and not through the imposition of terms by the United Nations,” the president-elect said in a statement Thursday.

"This puts Israel in a very poor negotiating position and is extremely unfair to all Israelis."

And Trump warned the U.N. shortly after the vote via Twitter that “things will be different” after his inauguration.

Many members of congress also expressed outrage. As you can imagine, this was mainly the Republicans. Sen. James Lankford, (R-OK), a member of the Senate appropriations subcommittee responsible for making foreign aid funding decisions, tweeted, "U.N. funding should be up for discussion if the anti #Israel resolution is approved."  Senators Lindsay Graham, Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton and others also voiced disgust at this and are calling for defunding the UN, unless this is repealed.

The Israelis,of course, are livid at this deliberate betrayal. But they should have expected it. This was always going to happen with Barack Hussein Obama in the White House, and I predicted it a long time ago. Needless to say, Israel isn't going to abide by any of this.No country would, unless they were collectively suicidal.

Contrary to popular belief in some circles, Israel is not dependent on American military aid. They have their own thriving arms industry and the amount involved is a relatively small part of their defense budget, although it undoubtedly helps. Actually, as I've pointed out before, the U.S. gets far more in goods and services from Israel than we pay out, and Obama's ' generous' new aid package was actually a reduction, not an increase and came with some major strings attached.

The real reason Netanyahu accepted it was an attempt to mollify what he understood was an anti-Israel president, and to try to avoid losing the alliance's real benefit for Israel...that of a trusted friend who would fend off what amounts to institutionalized Jew hatred in the sewer the UN has become. Frankly, after eight years of this president, he should have known better.

But with that benefit now gone, the Israelis have learned a vital and important lesson, one Obama didn't intend. This blatant treachery united the vast majority of Israelis. It proved that Netanyahu and the Israeli Right were correct all along. They now know that there's absolutely no benefit for them in making any concessions, or negotiating anything.Israel could reduce itself to an enclave around Tel Aviv and it would still be too much. And they would still be libeled as 'the occupying power' and face more demands no matter what.

What President Obama and his creatures don't understand is that instead of preserving the fallacy of the so-called two-state solution, this has killed it. In spite of a few indeterminate words about “all acts of violence against civilians, including acts of terror, as well as all acts of provocation, incitement and destruction” Hamas and the Palestinian Authority have never taken anything like that seriously because they have never suffered any consequences at all for it from the UN,the U.S. or the 'international community.' The aid has kept coming in, and no matter what horrendous atrocities they commit against Israeli civilians or what gets taught in the Palestinian Authority's mosques, schools and official media, no matter how well they reward the perpetrators, there's no penalty for their actions. Just pro forma 'condemnations of all violence against civilians' and calls to 'reduce tension' as if Israel was equally at fault.

This resolution essentially legitimizes terrorist attacks on Israelis as 'resistance' and don't think the 'Palestinians' won't rev things up. The Israelis know that and will respond in a far more decisive way than before now that they fully understand that to the UN, nothing they do to defend themselves is legitimate. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Instead of a partner for peace or someone to negotiate with in good faith, Israel, for the first time since the Second Intifada is going to treat Hamas and the Palestinian Authority as exactly what they have always been in reality - a toxic, hostile enemy.

Israel will build in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria like never before. And they may very well annex Area C at the least. After all, if the UN calls the Western Wall inJerusalem and Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, some of which have existed since the 1920's 'occupied Palestinian territory,' why not?

As for President Obama, his plan is to double down.

Today, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry made a speech which basically defended 2334. He re-emphasized the lie that the U.S. has always opposed 'settlements' in Judea and Samaria and has always supported a two state solution on the 1948 cease fire lines or to use Kerry's terminology, 'the pre 1967 lines.' The truth, of course is that no U.S. Administration ever called the Jewish communities in Judea,Samaria and Jerusalem 'illegal' before, or called for a two state solution on the 1948 cease fire lines. This is Obama's policy and his alone.

He also trotted out the old line that "“It is the only way to ensure Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state living in peace and security with its neighbors.”

He seems to forget that Israel is already a Jewish, democratic state with 20% of its population consisting of Arabs, most of whom are fully integrated into Israeli society with the full protection of law. How many Jews live in Abbas's 'Palestine?'. Abbas has already said that no Jews will be allowed in his little reichlet. If anyone has a problem with remaining democratic, it isn't Israel. But you'd never know that to listen to John Kerry. he also repeated the call for a divided Jerusalem and the de facto creation of 580,000 Jewish refugees.

As for peace and security, why would he or any sane person believe that the Arabs whom call themselves Palestinian have any intent of living in peace with Israel, no matter what? Kerry made a mention of their incitement to violence and glorification of terrorists, saying, "The murders of innocents are still glorified on Fatah websites.”

“Despite statements by President Abbas, too often they send a different message by failing to condemn specific attacks and by naming public squares, streets and schools after terrorists.”

Is Kerry really that blind and clueless to think that's going to change, especially since there's no consequences for it, and it's being rewarded by the UN and the Obama Administration?

Kerry made a vague promise in his speech that the US would not seek further UN action. That doesn't mean they won't condone it, help plan and compose  it, and do their best to help push it through.

On January 16th, there's a long planned French-sponsored conference that will focus exclusively  Israel and establishing a Palestinian state. Israel is not attending, but the U.S. will be there.

On January 17th, there's yet another UN Security Council meeting  scheduled.  The UN normally moves quite slowly, but rest assured that both the Paris conference and the meeting have already been pretty much scripted. My guess is that another resolution arises out of it.

President Barack Hussein Obama isn't through attacking Israel yet.

The Jihad Massacre In Berlin - Merkel's Handiwork

Germans and the world were horrified by a jihad massacre that occurred when a stolen truck plowed into a crowd of holiday shoppers at a Berlin Christmas market.

Twelve people were murdered, including three who were so badly mangled they haven't been identified yet. Over fifty were injured.

The truck itself was a huge 25 ton 18 wheeler with a Polish registry carrying steel beams as a cargo. It left the road and ran directly into the market, located in Breitscheidplatz Square in Berlin's main shopping area at 40 MPH.

 http://media.israelhayom.co.il/2016/12/20/148222851843612670a_t.jpg

The police investigation and examination of the truck showed that it had been hijacked. The driver, Lukasz Urban was shot while his truck was parked near the ThyssenKrupp engineering facility. His dead body was still in the truck.

German police originally arrested a 23-year-old Pakistani asylum seeker identified as Naved B
as a suspect. he'd been living in Germany since February. After interrogating him, they decided there wasn't sufficient evidence to try him for the truck attack. They also discovered that he had applied for asylum under a false name and had a criminal record he hadn't disclosed when he applied, they simply released him...believe it or not.

For reasons they haven't disclosed, German authorities still maintain that this was a jihadi attack. An unnamed 'senior security source' told the German newspaper Bild that so far, they have been unable to 'track' the wanted man. While they do know this was a terrorist attack, they're not certain at this point whether they're dealing with a so-called lone wolf or a larger terror cell.

ISIS,by the way, has already claimed credit and is promising more to come. and why not? Didn't they warn us multiple time how they had infiltrated the 'refugees?'

Berlin prosecutor Holger Münch warned of a 'serious threat' of another 'significant' terror attack and Berliners were urged to stay indoors.

Imagine that..telling an entire city of three and a half million people to stay indoors as the price for their government's enforced importation of over a million unvetted Muslim 'refugees.'

From last years' mass gang rape on New Years' Eve in Köln  to this latest atrocity, all o fit is owed by Chancellor Angela Merkel and her cronies, he shoved this through and foisted it on the German people.
There is blood on her hands, and there's no way she can simply wash it off. In the name of simple decency, she should resign...now.

Trump Wins The Electoral Vote (And No, Hillary Didn't Win The Popular Vote)

 http://www.wnd.com/files/2016/10/hillary_shocked.jpg

Today, the electors of the Electoral College had their official vote, and one candidate lost electoral votes.

That would be Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, who had 4 of her electors peel off and vote for someone else. In Washington, a state Clinton won, she ended up with only eight of the state's 12 electoral votes. Colin Powell received three votes and Native American tribal leader Faith Spotted Eagle received one. Two of Donald Trump's electors, both from Texas peeled off as well, one voting for Ron Paul and another for John Kasich. That gave him a total of 306, far above the 270 he needed. One of them was Christopher Suprun, who now faces prosecution under federal Stolen Valor statutes for claiming he was a 9/11 first responder when he wasn't anywhere near New York or Washington DC on the day in question. Probably just got confused...again.

There were, of course, protesters inside and outside the state capitol buildings where the votes were cast. After going to the trouble of harassing electors for over a month withe-mails, phone calls, and even death threats, they certainly weren't going to stop now. Some of the indoor tantrums were hilarious:

The entire clip on NBC News shows the man in the glasses warning her gently, exactly that way you would speak to a child..'now please sit down, or we'll have to give you a time out.'
When she went nuts, she was removed.

There are other clips of this sort of behavior, but this should suffice.

The part that isn't hilarious at all is the blatant disrespect for our democracy and the American people who voted for Donald Trump. The psychodrama was fueled by the myth of Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote, something the media keeps rehashing, perhaps in hopes people will eventually think of it as a fact. Actually, neither candidate won the popular vote, because neither got over 50% of it.

More to the point, the majority of Americans outside of the city limits of Los Angeles and New York City elected Trump.

As of November 27, according to The New York Times, Hillary Clinton had 62,391,335 votes from all states. She had 1,969,920 votes from the five counties that make up New York City, and 1,893,770 votes from Los Angeles County, California.

Donald Trump had 61,125,956 votes from all states, including 461,174 votes from the five counties that make up New York City, and 620,285 votes from Los Angeles County.

In other words, Hillary beat Trump 3,863,690 votes to 1,081,459 votes in New York City and Los Angeles.

But Trump beat Hillary by 60,044,497 votes to 58,527,645 votes in the rest of the country outside the borders of New York City and Los Angeles. So Hillary’s margin in the popular vote rests ENTIRELY on her margin in two large cities — neither of which was contested by the Trump campaign.

Arguing that Hillary 'won' is like saying that the Cleveland Indians should have won the World Series because they got more runs than the Chicago Cubs.

But wait, it gets better.

Remember Jill Stein's Hillary Clinton backed recount attempt? Originally, it was ordered in the State of Michigan by U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith, an Obama appointee, even though Stein had no standing since there was no way a recount would have affected the election. She proceeded to file suit in two other states Trump won, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. And then suddenly, the whole scam ground to a halt, with Goldsmith hurriedly reversing himself and cancelling the recount.

That happened after Trump started gaining votes in all three states...and clear evidence of voter fraud was found in Wayne County affecting over 47% of the precincts in Detroit showing more votes than there were registered voters, which is why Judge Goldsmith was happy to reverse himself and let sleeping dogs lie. Similar evidence was found in Wisconsin (Dane County) and Philadelphia, but since recounts were barely started in Wisconsin or Pennsylvania, we have no clue as to how many votes Trump may have actually gotten.

Jill Stein took the $2 million she scammed off this and went home, but there's also evidence in states Hillary won that Stein never contested. There's also evidence of voter fraud in Chicago and quite a bit of evidence in Clark County (Las Vegas)Nevada, where most of the states illegal migrants live. Trump lost Nevada by only 26,434 votes, but we'll never know if he actually did. Ditto in California, with the highest population of illegal migrants in the U.S., no voter ID laws whatsoever, easily obtained matricula consular cards from the Mexican consulate as the only ID needed to get a driver's license or register a vehicle and automatic voter registration when you do.

California also rarely if ever purges its voter registration rolls. My mother, a devout Democrat got her usual absentee ballot over a year after she passed away at the house I own she lived in that's now rented out to tenants. I could very easily have used it to make her vote for Trump if I lacked a heart.

So the whole narrative that 'Hillary Clinton won the popular vote' is sheer nonsense. Fake news, if you like.

What isn't fake is what the Left has planned. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama could have helped unite the country by simply saying what they already knew...that Donald Trump had won the presidency fair and square, that the American people needed to respect the vote, and that it was time to put the campaign aside and get behind the new president. Instead, they chose to aid and abet further division and try to deligitimize the election.

Even Bill Clinton has gotten into the act. Today, as an elector for New York State, he cast his vote for Mrs. Clinton but couldn't avoid saying, "At the end we had the Russians and the FBI deal – she couldn't prevail against that."

Of course! It was the Russians who forced Hillary and her minions to violate the Federal Records Act multiple times and commit felonies. It was Putin who made her set up those illegal servers to hide her crooked deals concerning the Clinton Foundation and then delete and bleachbit 32,000 emails that were under congressional subpoena. It was Putin who made Hillary put classified material on her private server and then lie about it to congress. The Russians forced the DNC to send all those e-mails bragging about how they rigged the primaries, fed Hillary debate questions and made all those racist, misogynist and anti-semitic remarks. And it was Putin who made Hillary's chief aide Huma Abedin put emails concerning State Department business on an unprotected laptop she shared with her pervert husband and lie about it to the FBI. Now, I know Putin is a fairly strong leader but I had no idea he had such magic powers of hypnotism!

 Image result for putin smiling

Vladimir Putin has modestly denied these magical powers, telling President Obama to provide proof that Russia hacked those  emails of shut up. But I'm sure we can believe Bill Clinton, who never lies, right?

Besides, the media is going with that same narrative.

We'll see what comes next.

Russia's Ambassador Assassinated In Turkey: 'Allahu Akbar!'

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C0DoPuCXUAAwtVz.jpg

Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was assassinated today by  Turkish special forces officer, 22-year -old Mevlut Mert Altintas. who was part of a security detail. Ambassador Karlov was delivering a speech at an art gallery in the Turkish capital of Ankara when he was shot several times in the back without warning, and then shot at least once more at close range as he lay on the floor. As he murdered the Ambassador, the assassin yelled 'Allahu Akbar' numerous times and quoted a follower of Mohammad, "We are the ones who pledged Bai'a (fealty) to Mohammed on the terms of jihad as long as we live.'' He also said in Turkish," "We die in Aleppo, you die here."

Three more people were wounded when the gunman shot into the crowd.

According to eye witnesses, the killer was captured alive by Turkish security, but it was reported afterwards by the heavily controlled Turkish press that he 'died in a shootout with the police.'

So, what's this all about?

Those keeping track on news in this part of the world may recall that Russia's relations with Turkey and its leader Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan have been dicey for some time. Russia took exception to ErdoÄŸan's support of ISIS and other Syrian jihadist rebels, and relations cratered in November of 2015 after the Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian fighter jet that had briefly entered Turkish airspace en route from a bombing raid in Syria. After Russia's Putin ordered sanctions on importing Turkish goods and began threatening even harsher retaliation, ErdoÄŸan apologized and relations have slowly improved, but only up to a point. Russia allowed the Turkish military into northern Syria, something that worked for Putin because it freed up manpower for the war in Syria's jihadis and pleased ErdoÄŸan, who wanted to prevent the Kurds from establishing a state there.

But ErdoÄŸan's Islamist heart still beats for the Syrian rebels, and it remains a point of contention that will likely come to a boil once Putin tells ErdoÄŸan to take his military back over the border to Turkey.

The flash point, of course, is the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, where Islamist jihadis are being pushed out of their strongholds in the city. Any time you have this kind of urban warfare, civilians get killed. That's particularly true when jihadis are involved, since they will happily put civilians in danger by using their homes, hospitals and other civilian areas as military outposts. Jihadis will cheerfully use civilians as human shields, especially women and children, and with the aid of our corrupt media will exploit any casualties as 'bleeders,' for propaganda purposes. It's a common tactic, one we've seen used in Gaza and Lebanon among other places. It is simply how they operate.

Just an aside, remember that the majority of these jihadis are 'moderate' Syrian rebels from groups like the al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusrah and are armed, trained and financially backed by the Obama Administration, Qatar and the Saudis.

The truth, of course is that at this point, the battle of Aleppo is almost finished and the jihadis there have one single objective...to delay things as much as possible so that the next flashpoint, the jihadi occupied city of Idleb near the Lebanese border can be fortified and reinforced.

So with this in mind, let's connect the dots.

Turkey, at this point is pretty much an Islamist dictatorship under the rule of ErdoÄŸan and his AKP Party. He used the recent 'coup' attempt to cement his control over every aspect of Turkish society - the military, the police, the press, the government, the judiciary, you name it. Anyone remotely suspected of opposition to ErdoÄŸan is rotting in Turkey's jails, especially if they were part of investigating or reporting on the many corruption scandals he and his family have been involved in.

Turkish public feeling has been manipulated quite thoroughly against Russia,Putin and Syrian Leader Assad over Aleppo, something that could not have happened without ErdoÄŸan's consent.

Such things make a useful distraction for ErdoÄŸan and his regime from other things going on in Turkey they might prefer Turks not concern themselves with just now. And in view of what Turkey's press has been serving up to them and the predominant Islamist mindset, I wouldn't be surprised if a number of Turks thought that Ambassador Karlov's murder was just what Russia had coming, particularly since Allah was invoked by the killer against the Russian infidels.

The killer himself, Mevlut Mert Altintas is a piece of the puzzle as well. He was no mere policeman, but a special forces officer, a member of ErdoÄŸan's elite security squad. It's significant to me that several Turkish media outlets cited eye witnesses who saw him alive in police custody have all been scrubbed, and we're now being told he was killed in a shootout with police on the gallery's second floor. No witnesses except the police, of course and they're not talking. Neither is Mevlut Mert Altintas, since he's dead and can't be interrogated.

ErdoÄŸan might well be ginning up public opinion to support him if Turkey decides to annex that juicy slice of northern Syria Putin allowed him to access with President Obama's connivance. ErdoÄŸan is also undoubtedly aware of the Obama Administration's ongoing campaign to demonize Putin and Russia, and this could be his opening gambit to get Obama's support for Turkey if ErdoÄŸan decides to challenge Russia.

Forum: How Should The Left's Censorship And Phony 'Fake News' Labeling Be Fought?

Every week on Monday, the WoW! community and our invited guests weigh in at the Watcher's Forum, short takes on a major issue of the day, the culture, or daily living. This week's question : How Should  The Left's Censorship And Phony  'Fake News' Labeling Be Fought?

The Razor : The Left will corrupt whatever they get their hands on. We left them alone on college campuses and they’ve turned them into indoctrination camps. From there it was an easy jump to journalism, a profession that was once shunned by degree holders, one that has since become corrupted into propaganda organs by leftists.

The defense of liberty requires constant vigilance. We must push back and sometimes punch back twice as hard wherever the Left resides. Breitbart and Drudge have allowed us to take back journalism, and the Left’s “fake news” meme proves that what we’ve done is working. It’s also kind of fun given the track record of the MSM pedaling fake news stories. Truth is the Left isn’t very good at inventing facts which makes our jobs a little easier. Still we need to fight this battle or risk losing everything.

We are battling for America’s soul, and so are they. Too much is at stake for us to give them a pass. We must fight them and hit them back twice as hard.

Don Surber: Answer? With mockery

JoshuaPundit : This is as comically Orwellian as it gets - the corrupt media outlets that were caught collaborating with the Democrats and trafficking in fake news and censorship now deciding who to label 'fake news?'

Still I have to give them credit for interesting tactics. Not only have the social media Kommisars knuckled under to the Germans -wie typisch!- and agreed to follow EU-style fascist speech codes, they have put together a common database to share so they can censor and remove anything critical of Islam, the EU, criticism of government 'refugee' policies or crimes  committed by those  refugees, criticism of EU governments in general, militant feminism, and pretty much anything promoting conservative ideology.

Now, tis has been taken it even further. Facebook has announced that it's going to hire 'fact checkers' to examine any news submitted to them. And anything the Left wants to label 'fake news will not only have a prominent tag saying 'disputed' but a link to these 'fact checkers' debunking it. Anyone s trolling on behalf of George Soros or the DNC for Right wing news items on Facebook will be able to flag whatever they want, after which it will be tagged disputed,  with an additional warning whenever anyone is about about to share a link and a link to their 'fact checkers'  so-called debunking.

And who are the 'fact checkers?' Hard line ultra-Left partisan operatives working for sites like Snopes and Politifact, who have both been busted for peddling outright lies for The Cause numerous times.

But wait, there's more.

It really bothered the Leftist media that Donald trump was able to bypass them completely using Twitter to communicate directly with the American people. originally, there was a real movement to ban him from Twitter, but for obvious reasons they realized that might backfire. So instead, the Washington Post has now created a browser extension on Google Chrome that allows people to 'fact check' Trump's tweets right in the tweet itself. Here's what it looks like:

 wapo-fact-check-extension-for-trump-tweets

'Learn more' goes to agit prop written by the WAPO's own 'fact checkers.' Who of course would never have done anything like this to Barack Hussein Obama during his 8 years of lies and disinformation.

So, how to fight this? The same way you fight any propaganda in wartime, because make no mistake, that's exactly what this is. First, you mock and punk the enemy, trolling lefty content and flagging it to overload the corrupt system. You expose exactly what they're doing using platforms like Drudge and Breitbart among others. You respond to the 'responses' with cold facts and make them look ridiculous.

It's fun! And a lot of people who used to take them seriously don't anymore.

And as necessary, you starve to beast. You don't buy from Amazon and let them know why. You don't click on the WAPO's links or read their content. You kick them in the wallet.

These are private companies who depend on profit to survive. Once they see in a year or so that this is costing them, they are very likely to change if they want to survive. And of course, we can start using other platforms.

Twitter, for example, has a rival called Gab.ai that's dedicated to free speech. It's up and running right now. They have about 500,000 users plus and are growing rapidly, you get 300 characters instead of 140 and you can even post from Gab to Twitter if you want. It works quite well but needs some additional doodads and tweaks to become a true social media giant (yes, I sent them a few suggestions. You all know what a pest I am).

I see this as a golden opportunity to do what was always needed, to marginalize the Left and fully defeat their ideology. They're not going to have it their own way anymore.

Laura Rambeau Lee, Right Reason: We need to fight the left’s disinformation agenda and the mainstream media with the TRUTH. It would be ideal if they were required to have disclaimers, such as “this report is not necessarily the complete or even partial truth and deception and/or omissions may have occurred due to the bias of the reporter.” Sadly that will never happen. It would be different if we had a state run media like they have in socialist and communist countries, where the people know they are being told only what the State wants them to know. But we are fighting an “independent” media so entrenched with the left whose primary directive is to shield and hide the truth from the general populace in their effort to advance a communist agenda, all the while pretending to be fair and balanced.

In addition, it is imperative we educate our youth to learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think. They should question everything, as seeking knowledge is the only way to discover the truth. For too long we have neglected our primary responsibility to educate our children and instead have allowed the progressives to indoctrinate them with socialist ideology. We will never change the media unless we foster conservative values and principles in our children and young adults and arm them with the truth so they can stand up to the bullying, name calling, and other deplorable tactics of the left.

I do not like the idea of limiting the press in any way, as any censorship laws can easily be used against anyone. In the end it’s up to us to call them out on their lies wherever we see them. We in the conservative media must keep challenging the narrative and speaking and writing the truth.

I believe this presidential election proved the majority of Americans have awakened and are well aware of the corrupt media and their lies. The media and progressive pundits are on the defensive now more than ever as they have been exposed for being corrupt, racist, bigoted and divisive. It should be quite an interesting new few years.

Stately McDaniel Manor : Individual responses to “fake news’ labeling are pretty easy. Fight back, at WoW, and every other honest website. Expose media and Democrat lies, and bury them under an avalanche of truth. Point out every lie the media has ever done--Brian Williams, exploding pickup gas tanks, doctored George Zimmerman tapes, Doctored Katie Kouric anti-gun interviews, etc.--and above all, mock them mercilessly. Expose them as the partisan liars they are, and above all, remind them, over and over, virtually no one believes anything they say.

Of course, this may be accented by simply ignoring everything they have to say unless it is to punch back twice as hard. They do fear loss of revenue.

President Trump can continue to do what he has already done: go around the media in every way possible, and if Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites ban the truth, Mr. Trump can, I’m sure, invest in a new social media company that welcomes the truth and shuts out progressive propaganda and lies. He certainly has a great many wealthy conservative friends.

What’s that you say? That would be censorship? We’d be no better than progressives?

Wake up! We’re fighting for the preservation of the Constitution against an enemy that long ago recognized us as their enemy. Besides, if it’s my social media site, I don’t have to publish anything I don’t want to publish. The Constitution doesn’t require me to publish content that will drive away my readers. It’s not like progressives don’t own every other social media site on the Internet, is it now? They already have plenty of other places to lie.

In effect, we should adopt one of Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals: make progressives live up to their own rules and tactics. It’ll be like holy water to a vampire.

Forum: Do You Like Trump's Cabinet Picks?

Every week on Monday, the WoW! community and our invited guests weigh in at the Watcher's Forum, short takes on a major issue of the day, the culture, or daily living. This week's question
:Do You Like Trump's Cabinet Picks?

Don Surber: My thoughts are all his Cabinet picks make it because he works well with others. Serious. What are his goals?
1. Protect the nation 2. Fix the economy 3. Reduce government. 4. Drain the swamp.

To do this, he hires good people and lets them do their thing. They fail, they get fired.
Hence generals take over security and defense, business executives take over economic positions, and politicians come in to reduce government. Which leaves draining the swamp -- welcome Jeff Sessions as AG.

Trump will run his own foreign policy. It's the one area Congress has little say. His Secretary of State needs to be a competent administrator to reduce and drain Foggy Bottom. Romney?

Puma By Design: I am concerned about President-elect, Donald Trump’s pick, Betsy DeVos as Education Secretary. While DeVos, who is pro-school choice, pro-charter schools and school vouchers, I am hoping that she will not revert to pro common core status.

Okay, although DeVos, never publicly stated her support for Common Core, Jeb Bush’s approval and the fact that the DeVos’ are donors to Bush’s Foundation for Excellence in Education (FEE) has many concerned and rightfully so.

Hopefully, the confirmation hearings will give us insight as to what DeVos has in store as Secretary of the Department of Education.

Missouri Education Watchdog:
….If she doesn’t see major problems with ESSA, FERPA regulations which are meaningless and the increased data tracking of students from birth/Pre-K through their careers, then your concerns about Ms. Devos as Education Secretary (her lack of educational experience, NGO connections) are probably well-founded. It will also be incumbent upon those in the confirmation hearings to question her on exactly what she has done to raise student achievement….

Pursuant to a short Q&A on her website, DeVos admits supporting pro-Common Core but insists that she is not a supporter of Common Core.

Have organizations that I have been a part of supported Common Core? Of course. But that’s not my position. Sometimes it’s not just students who need to do their homework. However, along the way, it got turned into a federalized boondoggle….

For years, condescending pro-Common Core bureaucrats such as Jeb Bush and his cronies have pushed back and assaulted the integrity of those who opposed data mining, Common Core standards, etc.

Now I might be overthinking this but Bush is a bitter loser on two fronts, Common Core and the 2016 GOP presidential primary who suddenly finds himself with a friend in the Department of Education. Will he push DeVos to spearhead the Common Core agenda once in place?

Doing so would be a slap in the face to Donald Trump and to the stop Common Core movement. See, American Principle’s Project article entitled,“PRESS RELEASE: Will Betsy DeVos Be Jeb’s Revenge?

On the plus side, American Federation of Teachers President, Randi Weingarten, is besides herself accusing Trump of selecting...

“the most ideological, anti-public education nominee put forward since President Carter created a Cabinet-level Department of Education. In nominating DeVos, Trump makes it loud and clear that his education policy will focus on privatizing, defunding and destroying public education in America…Installing her in the Department of Education is the opposite of Trump’s promise to drain the swamp.”

Weingarten, a swamp critter herself has been in the swamp so long that she no longer of recognizes it as such.

As a grandmother and great aunt of school aged children, I am praying that DeVos stays true to her word. If not, she and the president-elect will hear from us.

Finally, I have no objection to any other cabinet picks by Trump especially those that Progressives find cringe worthy. As with his predecessors, if a cabinet pick does not work out, he or she will be replaced.

Finally: My Secretary of State choice? Definitely NOT Mitt Romney.

JoshuaPundit : There are a few things I'm keeping in mind as I watch the roll out.

First, that while cabinet members advise and propose things to the president, it will be Donald Trump who decides on policy, and his cabinet members who will be in charge of implementing and administrating it.

Second, while I knew Trump was smart and a quick study, I'm delighted at how quickly he's learned politics. Elaine Chao for instance, as Secretary of Transportation. Aside from having experience and being a reasonably good administrator, she also just happens to be sleeping with the Senate Majority Leader. Can you think of a better way to get Mitch McConnell fully on board?

And then there's his way of  picking certain  potential nominees to meet with. Trump just met with Heidi Heitkamp. She's a U.S. Senator, from a very Red State (North Dakota), a rare examples of a sane, relatively conservative Democrat and facing a tough re-election battle in 2018. Heitkamp is already being mentioned as the front runner for Secretary of Agriculture.Oh, and did I mention that her state has a Republican governor who gets to appoint who serves out the rest of her term? I can't think of a better way to pick up another senate seat and make allowances for disgusting renegades like John McCain and Lindsay Graham who will join the Dems in demonizing his nominees, can you? Like a boss, I tell you!

Speaking of which, I also am keeping in mind that his nominees, no matter how qualified will be Borked, insulted and slandered. So things could change. My chief concerns were the DHS, the CIA, NSA and Secretary of Defense and the Attorney General anyway and I couldn't be more pleased. Mike Pompeo, General Mattis, General Flynn and General Kelly all have some things in common. They're all illegal migration hawks, all old school strong defense proponents, all ex-military, all scary smart. Pompeo is an expert on cyber security among other things, the ex-generals are all accomplished in organizing a command and carrying out difficult missions, and none of them suffer fools gladly. And as an added bonus all four men have a jaundiced view of Islamism and a knowledge of how deeply it has penetrated America during the Obama years.

All of them will be confirmed, too. I'm hoping some Lefturd actually has the stones to insult Mad Dog Mattis or General Flynn to their  faces and question their competence. That'll be one viral video, believe me. Mattis in particular can be almost poetic in such circumstances.

As for the other picks, we'll see. Jeff Sessions shares the feelings of the above men on Islamism and illegal migration, and will be the Left's worse nightmare if he's confirmed, as I think he will be after some flack. As for Secretary of State, if it's Rex Tillerson, that reflects Trump's affinity for people who make BIG deals, and Tillerson, who knows foreign leaders all over the world might be a decent pick. Especially with John Bolton as under secretary to drain the swamp at state and contribute his expertise in nuclear proliferation. A surprise pick, and one I think would be a really good one would be former Navy Secretary and Assistant Secretary of Defense Jim Webb, but perhaps Trump has something else in mind for him.

The Glittering Eye :Despite all the wailing, gnashing of teeth, and rending of garments in the media, his nominations aren't bad and they're consistent with the priorities he laid out during his campaign.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been more interest in his nominee as Secretary of Commerce since Commerce will have a lot of influence over the next four years.

For Secretary of State I'd prefer John Huntsman but given the premium Mr. Trump places on personal loyalty I think he's unlikely.

The Razor : Overall I’m pleased. Mad Dog Mattis is a definite plus, and putting critics in charge of agencies is quite smart, even though it leads to parodies like SNL’s Walter White from Breaking Bad as head of the DEA. Agencies should be led by people who criticize their mission, if only to overturn the group think that has infected them and make them fear for their jobs. They should question their missions. They should ask whether it’s possible for them to do more with less. Over the past few generations we’ve built bureaucracies out of these agencies whose sole purposes seem to be to expand and protect their little kingdoms. If Scott Pruitt comes in and slims the EPA down, so much the better.

My only concern is with his apparent Sec of State pick. I don’t get what Rex Tillerson has to offer as the former CEO of ExxonMobil. I would much rather have seen the post given to John Bolton, who apparently will be the undersecretary. He apparently has close ties to Putin, and even though I’m suspicious of Russia mainly because it views us as its enemy, I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing.

I don’t want a war with Russia, and the way the Democrats and their media allies are getting all McCarthyite towards Russia now is really a laugh. Weren’t these the same guys who criticized Bush for being too hard on Russia and offering their stupid “reset” button? Russia isn’t ISIS. It has nukes, a world-class albeit poorly equipped navy, and a well-trained elite class of soldiers. If they want to hurt us badly they can, so we have to approach them carefully. In the long run I view them as our allies but Russia “has issues” it needs to work out before we can trust it. Until then, however I don’t think it hurts to have people in power who aren’t reactionary against the power.

But in the end he can’t be any worse than Kerry, Clinton and Albright – the Unholy Trinity of American Foreign Policy. Seriously, if our diplomacy can survive their blatant mismanagement and disregard for our nation’s best interest it can survive Tillerson.

Stately McDaniel Manor :Donald Trump’s cabinet picks have, thus far, been outstanding. Of course, Democrats will oppose them to whatever degree they believe they can without causing themselves lasting damage, and some Democrats, incapable of recognizing reality outside progressive narrative, will oppose them with the ferocity of the fanatic.

General Mattis, particularly, is an excellent choice for Defense Chief. It has been fascinating to watch progressives and the media--I know; I repeat myself--scream Trump’s choices are radicals that must be denied. So far leftward has American been pulled in the last eight years, men and women who seek to obey the law, uphold and defend the Constitution, and restore the understanding government serves the people, are surely seen as radicals by our self-imagined elite rulers.

I have been particularly enjoying the horror with which bureaucrats at the EPA, and presumably, every other federal bureau, view Mr. Trump’s presidency. It must be very hard indeed to suddenly have to obey the law, and to avoid brutalizing Americans simply because you can. Giving up racist treatment of flyover country Americans, possibly even being fired or prosecuted for wantonly breaking the law? Terrifying. It’s like Leslie Neilson’s Det. Sgt. Lt. Frank Drebin in the Police Squad movies saying: “The next time I shoot somebody, I could be arrested.”

Much ink has been spilled over the next Secretary of State, even though John Kerry has conclusively proved the position may, for many years, be completely inconsequential. Mitt Romney? I think not. John Bolton would be, in many respects, a good candidate. Not only is he experienced, he’s an American, and has demonstrated over many years his willingness to look out for America’s interests. That would be very rate indeed in the Sec. State job. It might even work to America’s advantage!

Can these “radical candidates be confirmed?” For some of them, that will depend on the backbones of the Republican leadership. In other words, it’s likely that people that should be confirmed, and could be confirmed if the Republicans used the powers the Democrats used so well against them for so many years, will not be. I fully expect the Republicans to, once again, and still, prove they richly deserve the title: “the stupid party.”

It’s time for reasonably skepticism. Donald Trump’s principles are still evolving, but his choices thus far are encouraging. What is not encouraging is feckless Republicans, who whined that if they only had control of both houses of Congress and the presidency, they could do great, conservative things, already backing away from conservative goals. Why, they might not repeal Obamacare at all, and if they sort of do, it might take years from them to sort of repeal it, or not, and sort of take their time to replace it with something, or not.

One can only hope that strong, capable, constitutionally grounded candidates for cabinet and other posts don’t find themselves permanently at sea while weak Republicans whine they can’t accomplish anything absent total control of Congress and the courts. It’s time for us all to hold these weakling’s feet to the fire, and if they wimp out, to see it electorally consumes them.

Laura Rambeau Lee, Right Reason:The cabinet members Trump has picked so far show he has been deliberative for the most part and has assembled a good transition team when it comes to finding talent for his cabinet positions. He has made some good selections. Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions for Attorney General is a great choice, as are Retired General James Mattis as Secretary of Defense, Retired General John F. Kelley for Homeland Security, Georgia Rep. Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services, and National Security Advisor retired General Michael Flynn, along with Kansas Rep. Michael Pompeo as head of the CIA. It seems our military and national intelligence agencies will be in good hands.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is an outstanding choice for head of the Environmental Protection Agency, since he has personally dealt with the damage the out of control agency has inflicted on states with job and business crushing regulations and bureaucratic nightmares far outside of its constitutional powers. The fact that the environmentalists are aghast at his selection proves he is the right choice.

Two of the cabinet positions that concern me are Dr. Ben Carson for Secretary of HUD and Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education. These departments in particular, along with the EPA, are filled with progressive ideologues and need to be stripped of any and all control over the states, counties and municipalities.

Dr. Ben Carson as Secretary of HUD seems an odd selection. While HUD might have started out as a beneficial program, its tentacles have become far reaching and the agency is obsessed with economic, social and environmental justice. The social engineering aspects of HUD will destroy the American way of life if permitted to continue as it has over the last decade or so. Dr. Carson has no experience in the housing and financial markets and will need to learn quickly. Hopefully he will recognize the progressive ideology within the agency and seek to curtail the destructive objectives of the department.

Betsy DeVos as Secretary of the Department of Education is also a questionable choice. Trump promised to return education to local and state control. This alone is one reason many conservatives voted for him. DeVos is a big proponent of school choice; giving public monies (taxes) to private schools as a way for parents to opt out of public education. Parents should not be fooled into believing school choice and vouchers as the way to improve the education of our children. Private or charter schools include the International Baccalaureate Programme, which has programs for primary, middle and high school. Public money is being funneled to the United Nations through UNESCO and the program promotes diversity, cultural relativity, and global citizenship. Another private entity, the Gulen Schools, promotes Islamic studies and has middle and high school programs.

If the Department of Education continues to exist, which most conservatives believe it should not, the goal should be to return the decision making of curriculum and testing to the states or local school boards. We are spending so much money on public education and that money should stay within and improve the public school system. The more money being diverted to private corporations means the less money we have to spend improving our public schools. We should settle for nothing less than the elimination of the Common Core State Standards.

Trumps choices for Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, formerly of Goldman Sachs, and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao are of some concern and we will need to see how they respond during their appointment hearings.

As for Secretary of State, the latest name being bandied about is Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson. This concerns me as I am not convinced international business experience is compatible with making or participating in national security decisions and agreements. There are more qualified people Trump could choose as his Secretary of State.

I look forward to the additional appointments and the appointment hearings early next year.

Fake News? How About 'Wa-ah, Putin Got Trump Elected!'

http://ericpetersautos.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/cooper.jpg

Ah yes, fake news, the latest gambit by the Left to marginalize and ban everything as 'fake' except for the Leftist propaganda their trained seals in the media put out.

The latest example is yet another attempt to rationalize their losing an election they thought they had in the bag, and of course, Hillary Clinton, the Democrats and their media presstitutes have latched on to it desperately. Of all people, Cenk Uyger, host of the ultra Left Young Turks show gets it exactly right:

Oh, and Mrs. Clinton? Speaking of fake news, no it wasn't a riot over a video that got the four brave men you left to die in Benghazi killed.

In the latest use of this tactic, fake new promulgated by the Left's media sycophants, President Barack Hussein Obama ordered a quickie review by the CIA, who came to the conclusion from 'sources' that it was Russia who hacked the DNC e-mails and caused poor Mrs. Clinton to go down in defeat.

Let's examine this from several angles.

First of all, Julian Assange, who ought to know, has been adamant that the Russians were not the source of the DNC e-mails. And at this point, he has nothing to gain by lying about it. Assange has already done two interviews on who what and when these hacks took place.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoB6coYfhXxqLLxhuV7ArZsaKEub6nxI9_02laLs55VJqPZEQk-cMgID8GWYNgEiCgxLPk21e1d7gjgdNeZ-NjaG9Onbm8v0iy2ldSWP5BzfC1_lGQgC3OuM7Us_K9rVDkeamd2w/?imgmax=800

Second, no matter what the sources, were the e-mails fake? Did Vladimir Putin instruct the DNC to send e-mails revealing what corrupt, double dealing prog-facists they were? Did he tell them they had to detail how they rigged the primaries so only Hillary could win? Or to reveal their collaboration with their media allies, who sent articles to the campaign for their approval before running them? Did Putin tell them to take Donna Brazile  at CNN up on her offer to feed Hillary debate questions?

None of the players, not even serial liar John Podesta had the nerve to say these e-mails were fake...the most anyone said to their sympathetic media interlocutors is that they were 'unverified,' which is hilarious considering that everything else matched up and DNC heade Debbie Wasserman-Schultz had to end up 'resigning' over them.

Another point worth noting is how many of these e-mails likely wound up on Hillary's illegal unprotected server or Huma Abedin's unprotected laptop she shared with her estranged husband Anthony Weiner, a number of which Hillary thought she deleted.  Did the Russians or whoever actually hacked into their e-mails somehow make  Mrs. Clinton and her chief aide break the Official Records Act by doing that?

And finally, lets look at the source of all this, John Brenner's CIA.

 http://cdns.yournewswire.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/CIA-hacked-emails-released-900x350.jpg

Brenner's an interesting guy. He was, at one point Bill Clinton's intel briefer and then  the chief-of-staff to no less than Clinton's CIA head George Tenet. The CIA under former President Clinton was noted for pretty much ignoring the threat to the country from Islamist terrorism and totally missing the boat on Osama bin-Laden,Afghanistan and 9-11. The same team totally misinformed President Bush on Iraq, and Tenet and his team - including Brenner- were actually eviscerated by their own CIA in an Inspector General's internal report for their conduct during this time, particularly when it came to the period before 9/11 and the aftermath. In particular, the report says that CIA ties to Saudi Arabia limited the agency's ability to understand and stop al Qaeda.

And more particularly, guess who was CIA station head in Saudi Arabia for a good chunk of that time? Why yes, it was none other than John Brenner, who among other things was caught giving bogus intel to President Bush in 2003 that resulted in an "Orange Terror Alert", over Christmas 2003 intel that was later totally discredited by Brenner's own CIA.

There are a number of people whom claim that Brenner converted to Sunni Islam during his time in Saudi Arabia, but while there's no verification of that except rumor, one of the reasons Brenner likely got the job of CIA head from President Barack Hussein Obama is because he's a noted Islamophile, with a view of jihad that, shall we say, might be said to contradict not just the views of all four major Muslim fiqhs but the events we seen unfolding during the last 15 years.

And with a new head coming in to take his job whose view on that matter is 180 degrees opposed to his own and that of his boss, Brenner has a real motive to put something like this out to discredit the results of the election and try to delegitimize the new, incoming administration. It wouldn't be the first time he's pulled something like that. There's a reason the FBI, which had the same data considers the CIA's report 'vague' and 'contradictory'...or in other words, sheer horse manure.

Oh, and did I mention that John Brenner's also an extremely partisan Democrat?

That of course cuts to the heart of the matter.  The idea is to jackhammer this in the media  ad nauseum to taint the incoming administration, because of course Hillary would have won except for Putin, right?

And while we're at it, shall we look at some real efforts to manipulate democratic election? President Barack Hussein Obama directly and illegally intervened with scads of money and high level campaign operatives in the 2013 election in Israel to try and get Netanyahu out of office. He intervened successfully in Nigeria's election to replace Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian and a friend of Israel and America with Islamist and former dictator Muhammadu Buhari, who is neither. He also stuck his nose into the last UK elections, endorsing David Cameron and then campaigning against Brexit, as well as providing cash and operatives to the Trudeau campaign in Canada that successfully removed Stephen Harper.

Did anyone in the Democrat media have anything to say about this? Did any of the Democrats and their Republican ponies like Lindsay Graham and John McCain who claim now to be such passionate advocates of democracy and free elections make a sound? Hell, no.

The hypocrisy would be embarrassing to anyone but a Leftist prog-facist and their useful idiots. Never mind how bad it is for an already divided country to spread this crap just now, right after an election. To the Left, it's always about power by any means necessary.
