Perfect - Michael Steele Now MSNBC's Newest Talking Head

RINO con man, ex- RNC head and self promoter Michael Steele has latched onto a brand new meal ticket. MSNBC just announced that he'll be joining them as a political analyst and regular contributor.

It's a perfect forum for him to crap on his former Republican party comrades, aided and abetted by the rest of the Mess NBC crew.

They don't hardly make hucksters and shuck and jive artists like Steele anymore, and MSNBC is to be congratulated on snaring him. He's a perfect fit with the rest of their on-air talent. However, given their ratings, I hope they keep a close eye on his expense accounts.

Michael Steele Announces He Will No Longer Seek To Head RNC

It's official - Michael Steele has withdrawn his candidacy to head the Republican National Committee after four rounds of balloting.

I have only one question - why now?

WHY NOT TWO YEARS AGO?

Steele exits after destroying the RNC's brand name among major donors. He started with a war chest of something like $24 million and leaves the organization something like $20 mil in debt, much of it wasted supporting Steele and his pals' five star lifestyles and paying for outings in places like bondage-theme nightclubs.

His failure to put together a ground game in crucial states like Colorado, Arizona and Nevada cost the GOP at least two senate seats and probably a minimum of five in the house. Steele was a self-promoting jive artist with a stoo-pid mouth. He was never anything but what Democrat operative Donna Brazile said he was, an affirmative action hire that didn't work out - to say the least.

It's long past time for him to go find someone else to pay his bills.

What the RNC needs is a political strategist who will stand behind th escenes, is expert at putting together a political ground game where it counts and can convince donors and the rank and file that there;s a new sheriff in town.

If the GOP hires another clueless loudmouth vampire like Michael Steele to head the RNC, they'll deserve what happens to them.

DeMint Tells It Like It Is - Michael Steele Must Go

Tell me - does the above resemble your own response to the RNC's request for donations?

Jim DeMint ( R-SC) is the political figure along with Sarah Palin who is responsible for the GOP's resurgence and the historic victory November 2nd.And he's also a shrewd enough politician to see why the win wasn't even bigger, and what needs to be done for 2012.

The lack of a well-organized voter mobilization effort by the Republican National Committee could have cost the GOP “a few Senate seats,” Sen. Jim DeMint suggested Sunday.

Partly as a result, the South Carolina Republican suggested he wouldn’t support a second term for controversial RNC Chairman Michael Steele, saying on "Fox News Sunday" “I’m looking for some alternatives right now.”

“I haven’t decided who would support," DeMint said, "but we need a strong national Republican organization to help organize the energy of the tea parties and the other citizen activism that we are seeing out there right now. We need to make sure that we have a lot of boots on the ground.”

The senator said, “I appreciate Michael Steele’s service.” But he added the party’s get-out-the-vote effort lagged under Steele, asserting “where we lost a few Senate seats, our ground game was not as strong as it could have been. We were actually out manned on the ground.”

Yeah...like in Washington, Nevada and Colorado, where the $8 million and the footsoldiers Steele put into California for Carly Fiorina could have been used a lot more effectively.Nevada and Colorado especially should have been won. And not only the Senate seats. Any number of legislative seats in these key states were lost that didn't have to be.

DeMint isn't the only one that noticed.

I've had a lot to say about Michael Steele in the past. All of it was true. But at this point, I'm prepared to let bygones be bygones and let Steele go back to hustling someone else to preserve his expense account five-star lifestyle provided he departs gracefully and is nowhere near the GOP leadership or anywhere else where he has any responsibility.

Otherwise, I'm more than willing to reconsider my original idea concerning handcuffs, a floatie and the Humbolt current.

Steele Trying To Contain Fallout From Afghanistan Remarks

I'll again reiterate what this buffoon had to say:


"Keep in mind again, federal candidates, this was a war of Obama's choosing. This was not something that the United States had actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in.

But it was the president who was trying to be cute by half by building a script demonizing Iraq, while saying the battle really should be in Afghanistan. Well, if he is such a student of history, has he not understood that you know that's the one thing you don't do, is engage in a land war in Afghanistan?"

I particularly liked Jim Demint on this - "This is America's war. It's not Obama's war."

After all, there's no sense aping the way the Democrats acted towards President Bush over Iraq. And that includes the present occupant of the White House.

Steele apparently lacks the grace to resign voluntarily, so he's going to have to be pushed out. The sooner, the better.

Time For Michael Steele To Leave The Building

When you're in charge of the Republican national Committee and the head of the DNC says that you're out of step with almost 100% of the Republican Party and he's actually correct about it, it's way past time for you to seek other employment.

Michael Steele pulled yet another of his idiot moves at a GOP fundraiser in Connecticut yesterday, referring to Afghanistan as a war of Obama's choice and saying it was impossible to win a land war there:

Let's just forget the part about who started the war in Afghanistan...a guy by the name of George W. Bush who sent troops there as a response to 9/11.

As my regular readers know, I'm far from a fan of our involvement in Afghanistan. In fact, I've been pretty critical of it. But to say, essentially, that we can't win there while our troops are under fire is over the red line. Especially from a political operative with lots more fertile ground to explore.

True fact...essentially, Obama exploited Afghanistan during his presidential campaign for political purposes, and now has to at least go through the motions of trying to deliver. In that sense, Steele is entirely correct. But that's twisting his words around on my part to impute meaning. And in any event, while it might have been what he meant, it certainly isn't precisely what he said.

This is far from the first major gaffe Michael Steele has let come out of his genuinely stoo-pid mouth. And his tenure as head of the RNC has been marked by out of control spending and mismanagement. Meanwhile, Steele has been using his office to enrich himself by pimping lucrative speaking tours for himself, accepting paid speaking engagements while he is working as the RNC’s chairman and shilling a book he's written.

Let's indulge in some honesty here. He only got the gig in the first place because the GOP in the midst of Obamamania wanted to send a message that 'hey, we have black people too! Looky!'

He proven himself to be a dismal failure. And it's high time he went.

Steele Steps In it Again: Blacks 'Don't have A Good Reason To Vote Republican'

Yes, he actually said that:

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele told a group of students that African-Americans “don’t have a reason” to vote for Republicans.

Steele was asked Tuesday night during a speech to roughly 200 students at DePaul University why African-Americans should vote for GOP candidates.

“You really don’t have a reason, to be honest,” Steele responded, as was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times. “We haven’t done a very good job of giving you one.”

“We have lost sight of the historic, integral link between the party and African-Americans,” Steele said. “This party was co-founded by blacks, among them Frederick Douglass. The Republican Party had a hand in forming the NAACP, and yet we have mistreated that relationship. People don’t walk away from parties, Their parties walk away from them.

“For the last 40-plus years we had a ‘Southern Strategy’ that alienated many minority voters by focusing on the white male vote in the South. Well, guess what happened in 1992, folks, ‘Bubba’ went back home to the Democratic Party and voted for Bill Clinton.”

Needless to say, regardless of context or what he might have meant about the need for outreach, what's being reported in the Leftist media is that Steele said blacks have no reason to vote Republican and that Steele 'admitted the GOP's racism.'

Well done, Mr. Chairman! You stuck your foot into your stoo-pid mouth...again.

Actually, doofus, there are plenty of reasons for blacks to vote Republican.

The GOP at its conservative best - and it's vitally important to say that - champions the rights of the individual rather than the rights of government. It favors lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and a climate where people are allowed to achieve on their own merits and RISE UP, the quality above all that has people fighting to come to America. In short, it stands for freedom instead of government dependent slavery.

It favors life over the right to kill babies if they happen to be inconvenient.The Democrat's abortion-on-demand policies have disproportionately affected blacks just the way Planned Parenthood's racist founder Margaret Sanger intended.

And it favors families and the sort of moral traditions taught in the majority of black churches as opposed to the Democrat's policies starting in the 1960's that decimated the black family.

It even favors giving working families the right to take advantage of the same private schools favored by the elites and choose how their children are educated and get away from unsafe, dysfunctional public schools run by inept, corrupt bureaucrats and the teacher's unions.

And most importantly, it gives black folks a chance to vote for a party that actually considers them equal and capable individuals, rather than a box to check in the racial bean counting lottery that goes along with the inherent liberal racism of artificial results...predicated on the racist expectation of failure.

Oh, and that so-called 'Southern strategy'? For one thing, it wasn't just Southern in origin but extended to the Midwest and the Sun Belt. Nixon first used that term and trust me, it wasn't successful so much because of racism as it was because of the hell storm of counter culture anarchy and violence the Left unleashed on the country in 1968 and the Democrat party's embracing of that demon seed four years later with McGovern in 1972. Watch videos of the '72 Democrat convention some time to see what America was looking at and why the country went overwhelmingly Republican and abandoned the Democrats and their values.

That's the sort of things someone like Michael Steele ought to be telling blacks, instead of telling them they're right all along to stay on the Left's plantation.

Doesn’t Steele’s role go beyond creating soundbites for the Democrats and extend to developing and communicating a strategy how to engage the African American voter in the Republican party? Is he working for Obama and the DNC?

At this point I doubt they'll fire him, but he definitely needs to be put in a secure bunker somewhere in handcuffs and a ball gag with a moat around it so that no reporter can get to him until it's time to cut him adrift in a floatie with the Humboldt current...just to make sure he doesn't find his way back again..
