Al-Jazeera America Is Shutting Down

Yes, Pravda-on-the-Hudson is reporting that al-Jazeera,AKA Jihad TV is calling it quits here in the US.

After paying a cool $500 mill to acquire Al Gore's Current TV, the call went out to jihad-friendly writers and on air personalities everywhere to come aboard and preach dawa to America on the Emir of Qatar's dime. And they spent millions promoting al-Jazeera as a smart, new and happening thing.

Fortunately, American audiences never bought into it. Jihad TV started in August of 2013 with tops, 15,000 prime time viewers on a good night. No matter what, they were never able to get more than 20,000 to 30,000 viewers per night. And that was when things were going extremely well.

In addition, there was quite a bit of behind the scenes drama, micro-management and genuinely nasty behavior off screen involving the management and the staff, many of whom jumped ship or were fired. And there were lawsuits from former employees complaining of sexual harassment and anti-semitism at the Arab-owned station...what a surprise, eh?

Today, in a memo to the staff, Al Jazeera America’s chief executive, Al Anstey announced that Jihad TV was pulling the plug and would cease operations no later than April 30th. Instead, Anstey said they plan to expand their digital presence in the United States and “bring new global content into America.”

 


So we're not entirely rid of this Islamist propaganda outlet...they'll still have their website. But at least these swine are off the air. And speaking of swine, I've always wondered what the climate change groupies thought of Big Al profiting by selling a TV station to a country like Qatar that produces all that horrible petro-chemical energy?

At any event, good riddance.

Al Gore Sues Al Jazeera For Fraud And Breach Of Contract

Yes, Al Gore is suing Al-Jezeera for $65 million and legal costs for fraud and breach of contract.

He and his partner Joel Hyatt are claiming that Jihad-TV is refusing to pay up in full for the sale of Gore and Hyatt's comatose Current TV network to Qatar-owned al Jazeera for $500 million back in January 2013.

The deal was based on the Qatari Royal family's desire to get on American airwaves by assuming Current's distribution deals with cable and satellite TV providers. Unfortunately for al-Jazeera, few Americans are all that interested in watching Jihad-TV's version of jihadi propagandized news, so the ratings have been a dismal failure and advertising revenues are way down.

Gore and Hyatt's Their lawyer essentially believes that al-Jazeera are seeking to give themselves a discount, seeing how things have turned out.

This is the same person who told Jon Stewart how proud he was of selling to jihadi financing Qatar and how Jihad-TV was "..going to really be a positive addition to the U.S. media landscape."

 

Poor,poor Al Gore. What's the use of selling out to America's enemies if they don't even pay you for it?

Al Jazeera America's First Guest: Jew Hating Conspiracy Theorist Stephen Walt

Well al-Jazeera America (AKA Jinad TV) is here, although the word is that they're having trouble getting sponsors and several major cable networks like Time Warner and At&T are not carrying them.

Their first guest? None other than Jew hating fantasist Stephen Walt, who rose to prominence as co-author of a conspiracy book about Jewish manipulation of American foreign policy and has been  referred to by prominent liberal journalist Jeffrey Goldberg as someone who “makes his living scapegoating Jews.”

Pretty accurate summation. Here he bloviates about one of the major Arab countries the that controls  one of the world's most trafficked and important shipping routes is not important to American strategic interest.

I swear, they'll let any idiot talk foreign policy these days if he's down for the agenda.

Al Gore should be put on  a raft and pushed into the open sea for allowing this garbage into America just to fatten his wallet.
