Rob: "I think we can say that Colorado is going Republican this year, because I saw it in a Romney propaganda video!"

This is why you and Dick Morris (where's the landslide?) should go on the road as America's dumbest pundits. I can't tell you HOW MUCH I'm enjoying thinking about what must be a very perplexed and surprised frown on your face.

Idiot.

(A) The election isn't over yet, especially in Colorado.

(B) I'm far from depressed, because I see things in the big picture. If the American people are silly enough to re-elect Barack Obama, they'll get exactly the kind of government they deserve, and it will just hasten things along.

i really really hope anon doesn't leave after the election.

Actually, the election IS over and you get what you deserve from the totally inept campaign that you ran with the most inept candidate you could find.

I'm not sure how long it will take me to stop laughing at your misfortune. :)

Better luck next time. Step out of the bubble and take a breath of reality. Once you stop lying to yourself and listening only to what you want to hear (ahem...Dick Morris...ahem...Fox News), you might just get the presidency back one of these days. Lucky for me, you're too stubborn to ever change course. :)

Oh yeah Josh, and don't forget to tell us ALL about the horrible voter fraud on part of the dems that stole victory from Mitt Romney. If only he could carry couple more counties in Florida, damnit! :(

Oh, by all means enjoy yourself.

I had pretty good company getting this wrong, but I certainly did.

In the end, the real joke is going to be on the country. That's unfortunate, and I fear it won't seem nearly so funny even to you in a couple of years, but that's how it rolls.

oh but it will.

I don't know about that Louie.

Even people like Anonymous need to be careful about what they wish for..because sometimes they get it and it isn't nearly what they thought it would be.

You can almost ( but not quite) feel sorry for someone like that.

Regards,
Rob

While I wish the Presidential election had turned out differently, it came out pretty much as I expected. While it clearly seemed the voters were disgruntled with the declining economy, the massive increase in our national debt, and the rapid decline of our country globally, all of the poles indicated Obama ahead going into the election. It seemed unlikely that all of these people would be lying to the pollsters.

When people face a crisis situation, often times the easiest thing to do at least in the short to mid term is to do nothing. Essentially keep things as they are and hope that somehow things are going to change. This is exactly what the American people did in keeping the Republicans in control of the house, keeping Democrats in control of the Senate, and reelecting Mr. Obama to the presidency.

Unfortunately there is a term for people who keep doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result. Its called insanity.

The last four years has led to a deteriorating economy, massive increases to the national debt, a a substantial decline in our nation's global power, and a general lack of global respect for us. While it is true that much of this was inherited from the Bush Administration, these problems have gotten markedly worse under the Obama Administration.

The best place start for the needed changes would have been to change leadership at the top which is the president. Givne that a majority of Americans polled seem to want limited government, the House should continue as before for the most part.

The only real hope seems to be that somehow Mr. Obama will change course and lead more from the "center." Some commentators have already speculated that free from the need to keep his "base" in line for reelection campaign he will do this for the purpose of his "legacy." Unfortunately there seems to be nothing in this President's past behavior to indicate that he is capable of moving toward the "center."

As stated previously the term for doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is insanity. Lastly, Republicans need to realize that the American populace is politically a left of center nation. As such, socially conservative policies no matter how strongly we might believe in them are simply not going to win elections in and of themselves.

Obama's first term saw a massive increase in government regulations on the business community by the various alphabet soup of government agencies. This has seriously hurt the economy and employment as well as made us less competitive globally. Without having to worry about reelection and given Mr. Obama's prior track record I can only see him and his team stepping up on the over regulation.

Hopefully the Republicans in the House can act to mitigate some of this and the Republicans in the Senate can filibuster some of the more egregious acts that are likely to take place. Of course this would mean the Republicans would need to find a spine that they typically have not shown in recent decades. If the polls that the American people want less intrusive government are correct, they should be able to get some support among the people for such policies.
