Defund The Police? Sure, Why Not?

The latest demand by the folks at Black Lives Matter is to defund the police departments in the cities they and the Antifa pals have rioted in. The carnage in these cities is supposed to be a message and a warning, I suppose.

And why not? Apparently some politicians seem to like the idea just fine. So do a number of celebs, who are busily raising funds to promote this.

Eric Garcetti takes a knee (Richard Vogel / Associated Press)
Richard Vogel/Ap

In Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti referred to the LAPD as 'killers', took to his knees in surrender
in front of a number of 'protestors' and promised to defund the LAPD.

He has in fact defunded the LAPD to the tune of $150 million and cancelled a budget increase that had already been approved. He also pledged to cut another $250 million "to be focused on our black community here in Los Angeles, as well as communities of color, and women, and people who have been left behind, for too long.”

Every city department will be affected by major budget cuts to satisfy the people who rioted and looted the city.

“We all have to step up and say: What can we sacrifice?”

Racial justice, he said, was “worth sacrificing for.”

Of course, Asians, Jews, Latino, Black and White business owners who saw their businesses go up in smoke are not included.

Spokespeople for the LAPD said that aside from reducing manpower, the cut may mean firing all or most of the civilian employees...like 911 operators.

The director of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, Jamie McBride responded, to no real avail:

Eric, do you really believe that Los Angeles police officers are killers? The same officers that provide you 24-hour security at your residence 365 days a year? The same officers that gave you political rescue when crime was out of control, when shootings were exploding? The same officers you sent to address your failure to get homelessness under control?

And Garcetti's capitulation is by no means enough for the  'activists.' They are insisting that the police budget be cut by 90% . I kid you not.

Of course, now that thousands of criminals have been freed in California and New York just prior to the riots, it's a perfect time to defund the police, right?

And it's not just LA.

In Minneapolis it got even more phantasmic.

Mayor Jacob Frey, who jumped all over his own police force also went to capitulate to the mob, without success. They basically chased him out of their 'protest' and no matter how many boots he licked it wasn't enough. Not even for his own city council, let alone the mob.

According to Minneapolis City Council President Lisa Bender"If you are a comfortable white person asking to dismantle the police I invite you to reflect: are you willing to stick with it? Will you be calling in three months to ask about garage break-ins? Are you willing to dismantle white supremacy in all systems, including a new system?"

The new system, of course, will be police free  or at best have a small group of disarmed security guards for the well connected.

Of course, you should be willing to abandon your right not to have your home broken intot. Otherwise, you're a Racist. Right? Especially if you do call the cops..oh wait, there won't be any cops, remember?

You see, your either an 'ally' willing to beg on your knees, express shame for your white privilege and cheerfully allow the people who have broken into your home to make off with whatever they want or you're a white supremacist.

Understand?

Unfreakingbelieveable.

As a matter of fact, serious conversations are being held right now about defunding the police forces in  Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Seattle, and Portland. My my, all Democrat run cities that had major riots and places where Antifa and Black Lives Matter are welcomed warmly by these cities politicians for the most part and literally can get away with murder.

Now this actually might work. Cities that wish to do this should be allowed to, but only under the following conditions:

1) The inhabitant of these cities should be allowed to vote on whether they still want police. Of course, if the city government decides to defund police no votes are necessary in true socialist style. Who wants to hear from those racists anyway?

2) Those inhabitants of the city who are stinking racists and decide they want police should have a designated time, say a month or two to leave the city limits.

3) Now that these cities no longer have these white supremacists...and probably a number of black, Asian and Latino citizens who also like the idea of a fully funded police force like the race traitors and Uncle Toms they are, we can proceed.

4) These cities would be independently run and governed. The inhabitants could vote (even felons, and illegal migrants, there might be quite a few of those) in municipal elections but not in federal elections.

5)  Since the police would likely leave since they no longer would have jobs, they can be hired by the feds or the state to maintain barriers around these cities. They would not be permitted to enter these newly autonomous cities, nor would the inhabitants be allowed to exit without special permits and positions.

 6) This would also have the benefit of satisfying those inhabitants who are woke and like the idea of no police to limit their activities. Whatever system the 'government' of these cities decide to enforce what's left of any laws they still have is their business. Also, since some inhabitants have left, there would be ample empty housing available for section 8, crack houses, or what have you as well as for the citizens to live in.

7) The Federal government or state governments where these cities are located would not be responsible for financial aid or law enforcement. Exceptions would be Social Security and pensions for those people now receiving them who continue to reside in these autonomous cities.  In every sense these cities would be autonomous enclaves. They would not be allowed to exercise the rights and powers already  under the jurisdiction of the Federal  government under the Constitution. That would include foreign policy, postage and currency, immigration , etc.

8) The Federal and state governments where these newly independent enclaves are situated would enter into negotiations with these new autonomous enclaves to come to a fair and equitable settlement for payments or arrangements for  state or federal facilities and buildings.

This could actually work. These people would no longer be a real part of a country they consider racist, sexist, fascist, capitalist, what have you.  On the other hand, the rest of the United states of America would no longer be responsible for the welfare, financial help, law enforcement or government of these independent enclaves. They would be able to live out their socialist dream.

Black Lives Matter Hits Charlotte; Burning, Looting, 18 Cops Injured

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cs3D06EVYAAhuRn.jpg

Violent protests spearheaded by the BlackLivesMatter movement broke out in Charlotte, North Carolina last night.

The rioters (I'm not going to call them 'protestors', thank you) shut down I-85 and had a jolly time throwing rocks down on motorists from overpasses, which resulted in a number of accidents and 85 people being injured. Lots of videos at the link showing the mob cheering every time they hit a car.

They eventually set fire to the freeway and got busy breaking into trucks":

Then they moved on to a Wal-Mart on N. Tryon in the University area to loot and pick up some more goodies as part of the night's festivities. That store was closed today, with wooden pallets piled in front of the doors and shopping carts blocking the driveway into the lot. Anyone want to bet it doesn't reopen and takes a lot of badly needed jobs away when it closes its doors?

Something like a dozen police officers have been hurt today as the riots continue.

Charlotte has a white, uber-progressive Democrat female mayor in Jennifer Roberts who got elected by a very narrow margin and depends on the black vote to stay in office. So it's reasonable to imagine that she's followed the example of the mayor of Baltimore in ordering the police to make a minimum of arrests, sit there and take it and allow part of the city to be destroyed in the interest of 'peace.'

And in fact, there have been very few arrests made.

So, what was this all about?

Keith Lamont Scott, 43 was sitting in a parked car in the parking lot of a University City apartment complex. Three police officers approached him, one in plain clothes and two in uniform.

Police said they had been searching for someone who had an outstanding warrant at College Downs complex on Old Concord Road when they saw Scott leave his car holding a gun.

The police approached the car, Scott exited the car again armed with a firearm “and posed an imminent deadly threat to the officers, who subsequently fired their weapon striking the subject,” police said in a statement. “The officers immediately requested Medic and began performing CPR.”

The officer who fired the fatal shot was CMPD Officer Brentley Vinson, who is black.

A woman who said she is Scott’s daughter claimed on a live-streamed video on Facebook that Scott was unarmed when he was shot. The video went viral, with more than 521,000 views by 9:30 p.m.

In the video, the woman said her father was sitting in his car reading a book and waiting for the school bus to drop off his son. She claimed that her father was Tasered and then shot four times, and that he was disabled.

I think we'll find out later that this part is sheer fantasy. Someone who's been tasered isn't in any condition to pickup a gun.Not only that, but if he was tasered and that didn't subdue him (say, if like Rodney King he was high out of his mind on PCP), the police have been trained in other methods to subdue him.

The police claim that they recovered King's gun but did not recover a book and that they have witnesses and video backing up their version of things. So we'll see.

I'd also like to know what the warrant was for. I have a feeling it wasn't for an overdue traffic ticket.

The police have admitted that Scott was not the person they were looking for, so his death, if their version is correct, was solely due to his being stupid enough to get out of a parked car and advance towards police carrying a gun. If that's the case and Scott was a fan, BlackLivesMatter and their fairy tales might be the real villains responsible for Scott's death.

Meanwhile, Mayor Roberts says she has been in contact with the governor’s office, the White House and the NAACP. So no matter how this goes, expect the Obama DOJ to come down heavy on the Charlotte PD.

Oh, and one more thing. Donald Trump was already ahead in North Carolina, but this ought to seal to deal for him to carry the state come November...especially if Obama or Hillary 'comment.'

#Ferguson Update - Officer's Injuries Confirmed, Grand Jury To Be Convened

http://tribkcpq.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/ferguson-looting.jpg?w=1200

The Ferguson story continues...

Last night, the Missouri National Guard arrived in Ferguson, but they were apparently under orders to keep a low profile rather than actually, you know, stop the looting and rioting. That was left to the hapless police. It's almost sad to listen to the change in tone from Captain Ron Johnson, the black Highway Patrol officer who was brought in to command the security detachment and who lives locally.

He's gone from talking about how he's a part of the community (he lives locally) and saying the protests are oh so righteous to sheer disgust. Johnson said bottles and Molotov cocktails were thrown from the crowd at the police and that some officers had come under heavy gunfire. At least two people were shot and 31 were arrested, while four officers were injured by rocks or bottles.
“It has to stop,” Johnson told CNN.” I don’t want anybody to get hurt. We have to find a way to stop it.”

There is a way to stop it, and quickly, but Democrat Governor Jay Nixon certainly isn't going to authorize it. Instead, the cops and National guard will stay low profile and basically allow the party to continue as long as it's relatively confined - an absolutely horrible and racist decision victimizing the law abiding citizens and property owners of Fergusan

Meanwhile, Captain Johnson advised protestors to vacate the streets before sundown because, as he genteelly put it, there's “a dangerous dynamic in the night.”

Yes, there sure is.

One looter who came out of a QuikTrip told The Washington Post that he was proud of what he was doing.

“I’m proud of us. We deserve this, and this is what’s supposed to happen when there’s injustice in your community,” DeAndre Smith told The Post. “St. Louis ****ing not going to take this anymore.”

Or, as one policemen quoted by  the St. Louis Post Dispatch called it “looting tourism.”

“It’s like they are spending their gas money to come down here and steal,” the officer told The Post.

Looting - the new Federal entitlement!

Today, the injuries to Officer Darren Wilson were announced and they back up his version of events. He sustained a fractured orbital socket at the hands of Michael Brown, the 'gentle giant' who struck Wilson, pushed him back into his police SUV and tried to take his weapon. Essentially this means Wilson's eye socket was smashed. The injuries were confirmed by a source within the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police. The sample below gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.

cranial

While the feds are conducting their own, independent investigation, the state and county police are presenting all the evidence they have to to a St. Louis County grand jury, which will determine whether Darren Wilson should be indicted.

Part of that evidence will undoubtedly be this. courtesy of St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Christine Byers:

Autopsy: Michael Brown Had Pot In His System, Facing Police Officer When He Was Shot

The initial reported of the finding of the first autopsy on Michael Brown have been released. Brown was shot in an altercation with a white police officer in the mostly black community of Ferguson, Missouri. His death sparked days of violent riots and looting. The original narrative was that Brown's death was the murder of an unarmed black teen who had already surrendered to police, a 'state execution' in the words of Al Sharpton, who was quick to come to Ferguson and fan the flames.

Subsequent revelations show that the hulking 6' 4" 292 lb Ferguson had just completed the violent robbery of a convenience store. He then walked with a friend down the middle of a main street in Ferguson and was obstructing traffic when he got into a violent altercation with a policeman which including Brown's hitting the officer, shoving him back into the police SUV cab and attempting to wrestle his gun away.

This wasn't at all difficult, but my theory behind all this was that Michael Brown was high on drugs and/or alcohol since nothing else would account for this kind of behavior, and it turns out that I was right.

The results of the first autopsy, by Mary Case, the St. Louis County medical examiner have been released, and they're fairly illuminating.

First, Michael Brown had substantial amounts of marijuana in his system. He was definitely not in his right mind. The theft of a $50 box of cigars from the convenience store was also a tip off, since cigars, especially sweet ones are a prime ingredient in making 'blunts'. That's why they wanted them.

Second, it appears that ballistics confirms  reports that Brown, rather than 'surrendering' taunted Officer  Darren Wilson that he was never going to arrest him and then rushed full speed at the officer.

Brown  had between six and eight gunshot wounds and was shot from the front, In addition, several of the hits were in Brown's arms or to areas of his body, with only the final two being head shots. In addition, the non-lethal shots were the ones first fired, and when Brown was further away. The lethal head shots were fired later when Brown was only two or three feet away from Officer Wilson.

That probably explains, by the way, why so many shots were fired. Police officers are trained shooters. If Brown rushed the police officer, who was a six year veteran, Officer Wilson might very likely have been trying to bring Brown down without killing him. Because Brown was huge and because of what he had coursing through his system, the shots were likely ineffective and Wilson, who had already been injured went for the head shots as a last resort. There's also the possibility that one of the gunshot wounds was sustained after Brown pushed the policeman back into his SUV and tried to take his weapon from him.

Stay tuned...

National Guard Called in To Ferguson As Looting And Violence Continues

http://mediad.publicbroadcasting.net/p/kwmu/files/3225849-1025256556.jpg

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been unable to stop the violence in Ferguson, Missouri. Governor Jay Nixon has called in the state National Guard in an attempt to maintain order.

"Given these deliberate, coordinated and intensifying violent attacks on lives and property in Ferguson, I am directing the highly capable men and women of the Missouri National Guard ... in restoring peace and order to this community," Gov. Jay Nixon said in a statement.

Nixon issued the order early Monday after what began as protests over the shooting of Michael Brown by a policeman spiraled into violence and two civilians were shot and wounded. Rioters hurled Molotov cocktails at police, and several businesses were vandalized or looted

Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson said the civilians were not shot by the police.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson briefs the media around 1:00 a.m. on August 18. Photo: KMOX/Michael Calhoun

Johnson, who is black and lives in the area was put in command of the Highway Patrol units in Ferguson. It was obviously a gesture to get the largely white Ferguson police out of the picture. Although initially he was speaking about his solidarity with crowd, after a couple of days he seems to have a different opinion.

“Peace and justice took a very different turn after dark,” Johnson said. “Molotov cocktails were thrown, there were shootings, looting, vandalism and other acts of violence that clearly appear not to have been spontaneous, but premeditated criminal acts.”

Johnson said this had nothing to do with civil disobedience, but was designed to damage property, hurt people and get police to respond.

“The situation first started to deteriorate with the shooting of a civilian on W. Florissant and Ferguson Avenues at approximately 8:25 p.m.,” he said.

Police responded to West Florissant and Ferguson and got the shooting victim to safety, but then the violence ramped up and police became the target.

“That was followed by shots being fired on officers, a number of Molotov cocktails being thrown, and then the looting,” Johnson said.

Four businesses, including Dominos and Family Dollar, were ransacked and looted, followed by a number of shootings. There was a report of at least one more person down that was followed by rioters moving on the location of the police command center. Johnson said at that point, the crowd started throwing Molotov cocktails at them and they opened up with tear gas.

Officers fired tear gas into hundreds of protesters, including children, who were marching toward a police command post in defiance of the midnight curfew. The local CNN affiliate KSDK-TV ran video that showed children among the crowd chanting, "Hands up, don't shoot."

What kind of people bring kids to a riot?

In a local McDonald's, the patrons were forced to run into the storage room with the employees and lock themselves in as the restaurant was looted and vandalized.

Even Governor Nixon, a Democrat who depends on Missouri's black vote appears to have become fed up with this situation. Originally supportive of the protesters, the governor called out the National Guard without bothering to inform the White House or the Justice Department, which has shown a keen interest in the case for obvious reasons.

There is of course a way to end the violence and looting It's pretty much the opposite of what law enforcement in Ferguson and the vicinity have been doing thus far, but it remains to be seen  whether Governor Nixon is willing to do what's necessary. The alternative, of course is to simply to continue to try and contain the violence and let the burning and looting continue until most of the prime targets have already been hit.

As usual, it will be the people in the community with a stake in it-a job, business or a home - that suffer most.

In Black And White - The Latest On The Michael Brown Shooting

Some new information has surfaced on the Michael Brown shooting by a police officer that has led to several days of looting and rioting, and of course, the descent of Al Sharpton and the rest of the OBGI (Official Black Grievance Industry).

The pictures above are screen caps from a CCTV video located in a convenience store that appears to be the Ferguson Market & Liquor store on West Florissant Avenue. According to Dorian Johnson, Michael Brown's friend who was accompanying him, the two stepped into the market, Brown picked up a box of Swisher Sweets cigars (valued at $48.99), refused to pay for them and when the lone employee of the store tried to stop him from leaving, Brown physically assaulted him.

As you can see, Brown, at 6' 4" and 292 pounds towers over the much smaller clerk, who appears to be Asian. The video reportedly shows Brown grabbing the store employee by his shirt, throwing him into a display case and turning to glare and intimidate the clerk before stomping off with his friend.Johnson has admitted that Brown took the cigars.

The store employee called in the robbery and police were dispatched.

This, by the way is not mere shoplifting. It is classified as theft and assault, a strong arm robbery and a felony bust. It is also worth reflecting that this kind of behavior doesn't come out of a vacuum, but is typical of a certain mentality, someone who has done this sort of thing before, someone used to using his size and bulk to intimidate others and get what he wants.

This is a very different person than Al Sharpton's characterization of Brown as a 'gentle giant'.

According to the police report and numerous eyewitnesses including Dorian Johnson, Brown and Johnson were walking down the middle of the street obstructing traffic which is why they were stopped by Officer Darren Wilson. An altercation occurred and apparently Brown pushed Officer Wilson back into his squad car, where the two had a struggle for the policeman's weapon, and a shot was fired inside the police car.. The altercation apparently involved Brown striking Wilson, because according to the police Wilson sustained facial injuries.

Let's stop the narrative here for a moment. Here we have a very large and aggressive young man who has committed a strong arm robbery, slapped the clerk around and shoved him into a display case,is walking down the middle of a moderately crowded street and disrupting traffic rather than on the sidewalk, and then engages in cop fighting.

If this is accurate, (and it seems to be so far)That kind of behavior suggests something to me...a person who was impaired by drugs and/or alcohol. These are not the kind of actions taken by someone in full control of himself.

A toxicology report is being done on Michael Brown, and we'll know the results in a few weeks..maybe. A similar report was done on Trayvon Martin in the famous Florida case. It was never overly publicized, but it showed significant amounts of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana in his blood and urine. Pot, especially when combined with other substances can definitely make a person overly aggressive and confident and affect judgment. The autopsy report also revealed moderate beginning signs of brain damage and mild liver damage associated with prolonged use of DXM. DXM, known as 'lean' among other street names is a very potent mixture of cough syrup, juice or soda, and candy (Watermelon Juice, Skittles, and Robitussin for example).

We'll find out if Michael Brown was similarly impaired, but here's a another clue as to what might have happened. Here's a video taken minutes after Brown was shot that was designed to be supportive of the narrative that Brown was shot for no reason...but if you look at the witness conversation that appears to be inadvertently recorded at about 6:28 - 6:29 of the video, the witness states that Brown turned around and charged the officer rather than putting his hands up in surrender(warning, NSFW language).

And if you look at the direction Michael Brown's body is laying pointing towards the police SUV rather than away from it, it makes sense. Here's a transcript

@6:28/6:29 of video
#1 How’d he get from there to there?
#2 Because he ran, the police was still in the truck – cause he was like over the truck
{crosstalk}
#2 But him and the police was both in the truck, then he ran – the police got out and ran after him
{crosstalk}
#2 Then the next thing I know he doubled back toward him cus - the police had his gun drawn already on him –
#1. Oh, the police got his gun
#2 The police kept dumpin on him, and I’m thinking the police kept missing – he like – be like – but he kept coming toward him
{crosstalk}
#2 Police fired shots – the next thing I know – the police was missing
#1 The Police?
#2 The Police shot him
#1 Police?
#2 The next thing I know … I’m thinking … the dude started running … (garbled something about “he took it from him”)

There's another snippet of background conversation from a witness starting around 8:41 or so that also says "he ran back towards him".

Finally, look again at Brown's behavior in the convenience store. He does something similar there turning back towards the clerk and advancing towards him to intimidate him. Will any witnesses 'from the community' whom saw what happened testify that Brown charged the officer if that's what happened? I'm not at all sure of that, but ballistics and forensic evidence may tell us the truth.

Meanwhile in Ferguson the rioting and looting continues. And so does the agitating, courtesy of Al Sharpton and the New Black Panther Party.Governor Jay Nixon (D) attempted to calm things down by essentially ordering the County police and the Ferguson police to stand down and putting the highway patrol in charge of security, with Capt. Ronald Johnson, a black man who lives in the neighborhood in command. He also called for a midnight to 5 AM curfew.

The reaction to the curfew was, essentially, this:

Captain Johnson, who made a point of mingling with the crowd and dissing the local cops has apparently changed his tune, calling the police response “proper” and saying he was “disappointed” in the actions of the 'demonstrators'.

As always with these things, it's always the people with a stake in the community - a job, a business, a home - who do the least rioting and who suffer them most:

Natasha Cornell, 42, who lives two blocks from the scene, said she is furious.

“Half of these protestors are not even from this area,” she said. “We don’t have too many stores to go to anymore because they burned it all up. My 20-year-old son ran all the way home from work. He was terrified. It’s not a race issue at this point, people just want to vent and loot.”

Exactly.

Two things I wan to mention in passing. A lot of people on the Left of the spectrum, especially certain black commentators have mentioned a lot about the 'militarization of the police' and how awful it is. Not one of them have dared to mention that it was President Obama that was responsible for this. It was President Obama who called for a 'domestic security force., just as well trained, just as well funded, just well armed as our military. Remember that?

And it is the Obama Administration that has sold these local police departments military gear, MRAPs and combat arms by the boatload, as well as establishing SWAT combat teams for over 70 federal agencies. This is what the people on the Left who are squawking about 'militarized police' voted for twice. It's too much to expect I know, but it would be nice if they admitted what a horrific mistake they made.

The second thing is President Obama and the Justice Department's involvement from day one. The president has weighed in several times on this, saying what a tragedy Michael Brown's death was, the Justice Department started out by monitoring the investigation by local and state law enforcement and are now conducting their own investigation, trolling for a civil rights violation. Attorney General Holder has even asked for the feds to conduct their own independent autopsy, the third one.

Now, just the day before Michael Brown was killed, Rabbi Yosef Raksin(HY"D) of Crown Heights was murdered Shabbat morning (13th of Av) on his way to the Beis Menachem Chabad Shul of North Miami Beach for services. This was in an area that has had Jewish synagogues and property vandalized in a racist manner, the description from witnesses identified the killers as two black males, and Rabbi Raksin was dressed in a manner that obviously identified him as a Jew. Yet the local authorities are refusing to call this a hate crime, even though the Rabbi was obviously targeted because he was a Jew.

The president has not deemed this worthy of comment, let alone our attorney general and the media has not mentioned it at all.

I wonder...would this change if Jews began rioting, burning and looting, and if loud mouth agitators like Al Sharpton were leading Jews in chants of 'no justice,no peace'? Would Rabbi Raksin's murder become newsworthy?

Or is race a factor? It seems like it, when a white police officer being accused with very little evidence of murdering a black man on the one hand merits presidential comment, federal attention,FBI investigation and massive media coverage while a murdered Jew apparently killed by two black males is simply no big deal.

Welcome to the new America. It seems that while there's lip service being paid to all animals being supposedly equal, some animals are obviously more equal than others.

UPDATE: Second Night Of Rioting In Missouri Over Death Of Black Teen

http://s3.reutersmedia.net/resources/r/?m=02&d=20140811&t=2&i=962788367&w=&fh=&fw=&ll=580&pl=378&r=LYNXMPEA7A0S6

Rioting in Ferguson, Missouri continued last night over the death of Michael Brown, 18, who was shot to death in an altercation with the police. The rioting spread to south St. Louis, with a shoe store, a Radio Shack, a bank, convenience stores and and other businesses targeted by gangs of looters who reportedly drove up and appear to have picked out their targets in advance.

 shoe carnival stl

The FAA has issued a temporary flight restriction for th earea surrounding Ferguson after a number of shots were fired at a police helicopter.

The name of the police officer involved was supposed to be revealed today, but Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson has refused to do so until actual charges are filed against the officer:

Jackson says this is due to death threats called into the police department and posted on social media.
Jackson also says there are social media rumors swirling with a name of Ferguson police officer, but this is not the name of the officer involved.

Some commentators on online news stories are posting photos claiming that they are the children of the Ferguson police officer, and Jackson says they are not.

 http://i.ytimg.com/vi/iC64lcaVWAg/0.jpg

The people who are doing this, of course, are the same ones who quiver with indignation when recalling the lynch mobs of the Jim Crow south. Amazing how things stay the same.

 http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/764a5fe750c6c45907d016ff1c7804b889cd78a7/c=294-0-3332-2282&r=x513&c=680x510/local/-/media/KSDK/KSDK/2014/08/11/1407786251000-SLP2014081102.jpg

To his credit, Michael Brown Sr., the teen's father has been calling for peace and for an end to the violence. But apparently there are lots of people who look on this as a good excuse to act out, and there are others, like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Trayvon Martin lawyer Benjamin Crump swooping in like the vultures they are because they see an opportunity for cash and self-promotion in this tragedy.

We still don't know exactly what happened here. The witnesses are contradictory, with some saying Brown was shot in the car after a struggle over a police officer's weapon, others saying he was running away after being arrested, and others saying he had raised his hands 'in surrender' before being gunned down. We don't know why Brown was arrested, nor do we know if he was impaired or why he attempted to run away if that's what happened. We're going to have to wait for the investigation to be concluded by the FBI and the local police who are working together on this.

Everything I know about police procedure calls for subduing a fleeing unarmed suspect by non-violent means, sometimes quite forcefully.

So I see three possibilities here: (1) the officer involved, a six-year veteran may have had reason to believe Brown was armed (2) for some reason, the officer felt that he or she was unable to subdue Brown in a non-lethal way (Brown was 6'4" and muscular, and we could be talking about a female officer..police hiring practices have changed) and felt it was imperative he be stopped because he was a danger to public safety or (3) the officer simply lost control and overreacted, in which case the justice system will come up with an appropriate disposition.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for people who would use Michael Brown's unfortunate death as an opportunity to riot, destroy other people's property or otherwise cash in.

They deserve the maximum punishment the law allows, and to be shunned by decent society.

The Third Intifada - PA Orchestrates Massive Riots To Support Hamas

 http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/multimedia/archive/00290/5667758_Middle_East_290965b.jpg
As Hamas' forces are decimated in Gaza, Mahmoud Abbas and the PA put together massive, violent riots against Israel in an effort to support their Hamas allies.

The festivities started near the Kalandia checkpoint, located in Judea between Jerusalem and Ramallah. An estimated 10,000 Arabs whom identify themselves as Palestinians rioted near the checkpoint, throwing rocks, firebombs and fireworks at Israeli security forces, and setting tires ablaze. Police also had to put up with gunfire, for which credit was claimed by the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, Fatah terrorists on Mahmoud Abbas' payroll. No Israeli police were reported killed although a number were injured. Two of the rioters were killed, and a large number arrested.

Qalandia: Two killed in anti-Gaza op protest

Riots were also reported in the East Jerusalem areas of Shuafat, Abu Tor and East Talpiot.Arabs allowed on to the Temple Mount to attend services at the al-Aksa Mosque also rioted, throwing rocks, bottles and fireworks at police and down on passersby. Ten of them were arrested, and the Israelis may very well simply elect to close the mosque for the duration of Ramadan, eliminating the celebration of Laylat Al-Qadr (Night of Destiny) which commemorates the day Mohammed claimed to have received the Qu'ran.

Hamas, of course, thought this was an absolutely wonderful development and urged the entire PA to 'join in the struggle.'

As I explained before, what's going on here is the Third Intifada, using a strategy created by Mahmoud Abbas in conjunction with Hamas. While Hamas shoots rockets and engages what amounts to war against Israel (and hopefully picks up a few photogenic bleeders to use as propaganda) Abbas and Fatah will engage in lawfare and gin up massive riots, a few selective terrorist attacks, and civil disorder in the Arab occupied parts of Judea and Samaria as well as in Israel itself.

Want more proof Abbas and Fatah had this planned in advance?  Only two days ago, Abbas and other members of the Fatah Old Guard, who all have Jordanian citizenship and passports sent their families en masse from Ramallah to Jordan.

Don't be at all surprised if Abbas and  Fatah create an 'incident' enabling him to bring the Palestinian security forces, including those shiny new U.S. equipped and trained combat brigades into the fight 'to protect the Palestinian people.'

The idea won't be to militarily defeat the IDF, but to kill as many Jews as possible and create enough international outrage while doing it to try and get the 'international community', especially President Obama to try to enforce a 'Palestine' on th epre-1967 borders including a divided Jerusalem and a massive ethnic cleansing of Jews in Judea and Samaria.

For all the Israeli efforts to make those Israelis whom identify themselves as Palestinians feel full citizens of Israel, for all the attempts as co-existence and political correctness, the fact remains that a significant number of these Palestinians not only have no appreciation for those efforts or of Israel itself and the freedoms they enjoy there. They hang on to the dream of pushing al-Yahudi into the sea and simply want their neighbors dead.

The sooner Israel decides to initiate a divorce on its own terms, with a boundaries of its own choosing, the better. Oslo died a long time ago and  there is no living with rattlesnakes in the house.

What 's Really Going On In The Ukraine

 http://media.winnipegfreepress.com/images/ukraine11.jpg

The Ukraine is in the news as violent protests shake the country. What's going on, and why is it important? Here's what you really need to know, as opposed to a lot of what you may be hearing.

Russia and the Ukraine have a history that goes back centuries, and it's pretty much all bad. Like Poland and the Baltic countries, the Ukraine marks the borderline between the Russian culture and western European culture, and to an extent the borderline between Catholicism and Othrodox Christianity, although the Ukraine is mixed in this regard.

http://i2.cdn.turner.com/money/dam/assets/140203013520-map-ukraine-620xa.png

Poland, the Ukraine and Lithuania in the Baltic Sea area were all once world powers, and a Polish/Lithuanian alliance actually invaded and took over Russia in the early 17th century. The Russians never forgot it.

The three countries made several attempts over the years to unite as one kingdom, which would have substantially changed the history of Europe and guaranteed their independence, but the underlying suspicions between the three, language and cultural differences and the inherent difficulties in how Poland's Sejm (a gathering of powerful nobles that was one of the first parliaments in Europe) was set up to make real consensus difficult all contributed to the failure of those attempts, and gradually all of these countries wound up under Russia's thumb.

After a brief period of independence after the Russian Revolution, the Ukraine again became part of the Russian Empire in 1919, this time a Soviet one.

The Soviets treated the Ukraine as a colony and essentially plundered it. They severely repressed the Ukraine's language, religion and culture and instituted forced collective farming, and when the Ukrainians were rebellious and continued to resist, Stalin literally seized every bit of food inside the Ukraine including the livestock and seed grain, removed it, sealed the borders and left the population to starve. Anywhere from three to seven million people were starved to death in an atrocity known as the Holodomor.

When the Nazis invaded, for the most part the Ukrainians were avid collaborators, partly because they understandably hated the Russians and saw Hitler's troops as liberators and partly because many Ukrainians shared their ideas about Jews. For all the Ukrainian rhetoric through the years about freedom and human dignity, historically some of the worst and most brutal pogroms against Jews were in the Ukraine. Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky, who is still a national hero in the Ukraine destroyed over 300 Jewish communities in the country. And in the early 20th century, vicious pogroms in the Ukraine and elsewhere in Russia were an impetus both for Jewish emigration to America and to Palestine. There are indications even today that not much has changed when it comes to Jews for a number of Ukrainians.

Many Ukrainians fought for Hitler in his SS against the Russians, and they were among the perpetrators of something that occurred at a place in the Ukraine called Babi Yar, a ravine outside Kiev where literally thousands of Jewish men, women and children were machine gunned to death, with the assistance and cooperation of the Ukrainians who participated in the carnage while people from the surrounding area watched, brought picnic lunches and applauded.

Needless to say, when the Red Army retook the area, the Ukrainians were not exactly very high in their esteem, and Soviet policy towards the Ukraine again returned to treating it as a colony and as a vital border area that needed to be held to prevent Russia from being invaded by outside forces again. The Ukrainian SSR was also turned into a major Soviet military outpost and arms manufacturing center in the cold war, and was home to a number of important and strategic military bases. packed with the best weapons systems the Soviets could make.

When the Soviet Empire crashed and burned, the Ukraine went their own way and declared their independence in 1991,but the country still maintained close ties to Russia and remained under Russian influence out of economic necessity.

The first real move towards independence from Russia occurred in 1994, when a rigged election and the subsequent outrage and unrest led to Victor Yushchenko becoming president, who favored closer ties to Europe and EU membership. This strained relations with the Russians (who actually tried to poison Yushchenko to stop him), and led to Russia attempting to blackmail the Ukraine by shutting off natural gas supplies to both the Ukraine and the EU, a must for heating due to the climate.

That ended up finally being settled more or less amicably, but due to political infighting a pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych was elected in 2010, allegedly with covert Russian assistance. Yanukovych turned the Ukraine's focus back towards Russia, arresting politicians who favored closer alliance with the west and in November of 2013, refusing to sign the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement.

I recount this brief history in order to give you a bit of necessary background so that you understand the dynamics of what's happening now.

Yanukovych's failure to bring the Ukraine into the EU sparked massive protests, which have come to a head now. The majority of the Ukrainian people do not want to be a client state of Russia, and want EU membership.

The Russians, on the other hand, see a Europeanized Ukraine as a threat to their security, which is why Russian leader Vladimir Putin is so exercised about it. His carrot-and-stick performance includes the offer of a badly needed $15 billion aid package if the Ukraine stays out of the EU, and the threat of once again shutting off the gas in the middle of the European winter if the Ukrainians toss out Yanukovych and join the EU.

Yanukovych made a major error with a particularly brutal response to the protests, which involved a number of deaths and included snipers picking off people in the crowds. Many of Yanukovych's police refused to be a part of this and actually joined the protesters, or at least turned over their arms and equipment.

Yanukovych was forced to make a deal with the leaders of the opposition today, which commits him to early elections and reduces his presidential authority, along with granting amnesty to all protesters and firing the minister of the interior, who ordered the brutal response to the protesters and was a major security tool of Yanukovych.

Significantly, it also mandated the release of opposition politician and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who has been imprisoned for more than two years, and could very well be the next Ukrainian leader.

Simply put, those are the issues.

The Russians understandably want the Ukraine as a secure border area and checkpoint. While the Russians participated in today's negotiations along with EU diplomats that were designed to calm things down and forestall more bloodshed, the Russians are not endorsing the deal and Putin is almost certainly willing to go to some lengths to retain the Ukraine in Russia's sphere of influence. That might include 'influencing' the next elections,or literally just about anything.

The Ukrainian opposition understandably want to join the EU and obtain a divorce from Russia, and while they were apparently willing to fight for the privilege, it remains an open question of how far the EU is willing to go to support them.

President Obama has essentially been AWOL on the issue.

And that's where things stand. While I agree with erring on the side of freedom, it's vitally important not to get taken in by rhetoric and look at the whole picture when figuring out how to proceed, where our best interests lie and what to do about it.

This, after all, is essentially an ethnic conflict that has been going on for centuries.

150 Dead As Egyptian Army Cracks Down On Muslim Brotherhood:The Real Story

 AP Photo

At least 150 people have been killed as Egyptian police, backed up by the army cleared out two encampments of Muslim Brotherhood supporters who refused to leave when they were ordered to do so. There have been numerous arrests.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said the raids were carried out as “a last resort” after the government efforts to mediate a safe exit for the inhabitants of the camps failed

“After six long weeks of illegal, unauthorized sit-ins,” and after claiming there was evidence of torture in the encampments, Egypt’s prosecutor general authorized security forces to break up the camps, Badr Abdelatty, a Foreign Ministry spokesman, said in a statement.

The government has declared a month long state of emergency.

The evidence of torture may or may not be credible, but neither is the swill you're reading in the media about 'peaceful protesters' and 'unarmed civilians' being attacked. Some of them undoubtedly were, but the purpose of the camps was not peaceful protest.

These encampments were Muslim Brotherhood strongholds that were being used to arm, train and recruit Brotherhood supporters. Arms as usual  were plentiful, some of them purchased from Khaddaffi's Libyan stocks.

They had become, essentially, almost a state within a state, large enclaves under the Brotherhood's control.near the Islamist Rabaa al-Adawiya Mosque in Cairo’s Nasr City District that has served as the headquarters of the Brotherhood's campaign.

After a prolonged attempt to  get the encampments to disband peacefully and two days of warnings by the government that the police were going to remove them, the government moved in. It's hard to see how they could have done anything else. You won't read this in the legacy media, but 10 policemen were shot and at least two were killed in removing the Muslim Brotherhood camps.

As I predicted earlier, the Islamists had two choices. The first one was to try to attempt a peaceful solution with Egypt's government that would have left them marginalized but at least viable. The second was to try and ignite a civil war by  fighting the Army. They chose the second option, and they will be crushed, unless they manage to put on enough of a show to bring an outsider like the United States into the fray.

What happened today was part of that strategy, The Brotherhood set up a provocation no government could ignore, with the idea of fomenting violence and a suitable number of casualties for the cameras.

Western media, which has consistently whitewashed who the Brotherhood is and what they stand for cheerfully cooperated, presented a script of a vicious police state 'massacring  peaceful protesters.'

These same reporters are ignoring a whole series of summary executions being carried out by Hamas, the Brotherhood's  branch in Gaza.

So far, the strategy of attempting to bring in an outsider isn't working. While I don't doubt that President Obama has been quite vocal privately at seeing his Islamist friends thrown out of power, besides a pro forma statement condemning the violence there's been no indication that the president has another Libya planned.

After doing a great deal to destabilize Egypt, President Obama appears to finally be doing somthing right for a change. He's keeping his mouth shut ( at least publicly)  and concentrating on his golf game.

Meanwhile, the Brotherhood is doing what good Islamists do...they're taking it out on the kuffars.

Churches were set on fire in the town of Sohag and the village of Delga in Minya, south of Cairo, while other churches in the Abou Helal district of Minya and in the city of Suez were also attacked, while mobs in Cairo vandalized homes, businesses and shops known to belong to Copts.

These are not good people.

Another Trayvon Riot In Process In Downtown Los Angeles

According to my sources, there are a number of what the City of Los Angeles genteelly refers to as 'non-permitted demonstrations now going on in the midst of the city downtown over the Zimmerman verdict, and city employees and other government workers have been warned about heavy police deployment, violence and traffic blockages in an e-mailed Level 1 alert.

The demonstrations have been timed for the rush hour commute and one of the major players is the communist/anarchist group ANSWER who are acting out right now in front of City Hall at the corner of Spring and First street. As you know, they're not exactly know known as peaceful players.

BREAKING: Trayvon Riots Hit Los Angeles

According to the Twitter feed from the local 911 operator:

These areas are all in south Los Angeles. There has been little or no coverage except to report that certain areas of the freeways are closed down 'due to police activity'.

This is surprising..Los Angeles is governed by a very left wing mayor and city council  whom are instinctively not fans of  aggressive law enforcement. The LAPD is notoriously coy when it comes to taking these kinds of measures to curb civil unrest, so it must have really been getting out of hand.

It will be interesting to see whether this continues into Monday morning. On the plus side, at least the local media aren't stoking the fires by baying about how this 'a party' and 'the police are not in evidence' as they did during the last riot.

More as it comes in.(h/t Weaselzippers)

UPDATE
: Apparently the usual suspects are also rioting in New York, Oakland and Chicago.

3 Nights Of Muslim Riots - The EuroJihad spreads to Hamburg

The Hamburg-Altona area in Germany has been the scene of 3 days and nights of Muslim riots.

There have been a number of car-b-cues and attacks on police.

The riots apparently started Thursday night when some of the 'youths' were having fun blinding oncoming motorists with  laser pointers. When police moved in, they were faced with a crowd of 150 rioters many of whom aggressively assaulted police. More than 100 police officers came out in force, using pepper spray against the rioters. In response the mob hurled stones at the officers. There were about 16 arrests initially, some of which occurred when members of the crowd tried to free 'youths' the police had in custody. The old battle cry of 'Allahu Akbar' can clearly be heard:

Tonight has been relatively peaceful. The crowds are still out, although they're reportedly smaller.

What's most fascinating about this is that there has been no coverage of this whatsoever in the main stream media.

More on this as it comes in.

Obama To Send U.S. Troops To Egypt To Suppress Riots Against Muslim Brotherhood Regime

There's one sure thing about President Obama that you can always take to the bank. He will go to any lengths to install, fund, protect and defend autocratic Muslim Brotherhood regimes.

In Egypt, the increasingly totalitarian Muslim Brotherhood regime under Mohammed Morsi is encountering more and more protests from what's left of the pro-democracy factions, and a major crackdown is imminent, complete with mobs of regime supporting thugs that President Obama found so abhorrent back in the Mubarak era.

Only this time, President Obama is prepared to send U.S. troops with riot training into the middle of this festering cauldron to risk their lives to protect the Islamist regime:

(KCEN) -- A group of soldiers are preparing for their deployment to Egypt with riot training on post.

They're planning ahead for violent protests or riots and the possibility of protecting the country's border with Israel.

Soldiers encountered Molotov cocktails and other dangerous items in the training.

Lt. Matthew Wilkinson says, "Just what I've seen over the course of the past week than we were a week ago."

PFC Perez Alexander says, "We want to be as professional as possible... Know what we're doing."

They wrap up training today before preparing to ship out in the near future.

Notice the spin here, that the troops are planning for "the possibility of protecting the country's border with Israel."

That's how the Obama regime might sell it, with the side benefit for them of raising anger towards Israel from the usual low information voters. But the truth of the matter is that Israel has never requested or needed U.S. troops to protect its borders, its own military being more than equal to that task. And the Israelis, in any event, have already finished their security fence on the Egyptian border.

This is being done to protect Egypt's Islamist regime.

In a vicious bit of irony, the training is being held at Fort Hood Texas...site of the murders of U.S. troops by Islamist jihadi Major Nidal Hasan.

A Few Words On The 'Turkish Spring'

As many of you are probably aware, there are massive protests going on in Turkey against the Islamist AKP regime headed by Tayyip Erdogan.

There have been huge protests in several areas of the country, most notably in Istanbul's Taksim Square. Two people have been killed and more than 3,000 injured in the six days of unrest. Over 1,700 people have been arrested.

 istanbul protest

Turkey's police cracked down violently on the demonstrators, using tear gas.pepper spray, riot clubs, bullets and water cannon to disperse the protestors to the point where Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, whose nominally in charge while Erdogan is out of the country actually apologized for the excessive violence.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Erdogan has blamed the violence on Twitter, drunks, extremists, and foreign agents, Jacob Resneck reports in USA Today.

 View image on Twitter

However, in spite of the apology ( which obviously wasn't vetted by Erdgan) police are still monitoring social media and the internet for anti-government messages and activity and dragging people off to prison. In Turkey, anything the government dislikes can be labled 'anti-Turkish activity' and prosecuted as a felony.

In Taksim Square, thousands of protestors have put together an improvised 'camp'. Small tents have appeared, food and face masks against tear gas are on sale and a library is in the making. On a street near the square some protesters skirmished overnight with police who used tear gas.

Members of more than a dozen labor unions banging drums, trailing banners and chanting "Tayyip resign" have marched into Taksim; there were similar scenes in Kizilay park in middle of Ankara's government district.

While the police are definitely in evidence, they're not charging into the protestors as they did in the first few days, and are apparently waiting for them to get tired of camping out and disperse.

Aside from violence, the protests have featured unique touches like overt beer drinking and 'kiss-ins' to protest the AKP's Islamist rule and authoritarian nature, including massive press censorship,( there are more journalists in jail in Turkey than in any other country) heavy handed prosecution of anyone who criticizes government officials or “Islamic values”.

As much as I would love to see Erdogan and the AKP tossed out of power, it's highly unlikely for a number of reasons.

First of all,the AKP's hold on government and its parliamentary majority don't come from cities like Ankara and Istanbul, which are relatively cosmopolitan. It comes from the huge hinterland of Anatolia, where you find the women veiled, the people less educated for the most part and the unquestioning rule of Islam strongest. In these areas, far away from the sophisticated sections of the cities is where the AKP draws its strength and where the likes of Tayyip Erdogan are the equivalent of rock stars.

While there are some protests in more remote areas like Hatay province, the majority of unrest is confined to the same places that protested against Erdogan's initial takeover in the first place. There's limited support elsewhere.

Second, Erdogan and the AKP have made sure that the army and the judiciary aren't a factor and are packed with loyal AKP supporters. Turkey's army used to be the constitutional guarantor of secular democracy. Erdogan and the AKP changed all that.

And finally, don't look for President Obama, whose been so ready to encourage and enable Islamist takeovers in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya in the name of 'democracy' to intervene in a similar way in favor of democracy in Turkey.

This president and Tayyip Erdogan are very close personally, and President Obama is interested in promoting Islamists, not democracy and freedom.

The Jihad Comes To Sweden

Stockholm riots Sweden

For the past five days and nights, the city of Stockholm's Muslim neighborhoods have been the site of wide spread arson and violence reminiscent of Le Petit Jihad in France that first took place in 2005. Since then, it's essentially become an annual event.

The parallels are quite interesting. The excuse for Le Petit Jihad in France was two Muslim teenage criminals fleeing police who managed to get themselves electrocuted. Stockholm's jihad started in the almost entirely Muslim suburb of Husby, where a Muslim man attacked police brandishing a machete and was shot dead by police.

The riots have spread to at least nine other predominantly Muslim neighborhoods like Rinkeby, Jakobsberg, Norsborg and Tensta. Several schools have been set on fire along with numerous cars, as well as a police station in Aelvsjoe. Fire bombs and Molotov cocktails are the weapons of choice, just as they were in Paris.

And just as in France, the media, the police(at least on the record) and officialdom avoid the terms 'Islam' or 'Muslims' as though they were swear words, using the euphemism 'immigrants' and 'youths'. Personally, if I were a law abiding immigrant to Sweden from European countries like Poland or Russia or even from the Middle East, I'd be absolutely outraged at being lumped in with the sort of people who are rioting, looting and burning parts of Stockholm today, but it is what it is.

So far, Swedish police and firefighting units appear to have been caught unprepared by the Muslim 'youths' and as in France and Britain, have even been forced to retreat on a number of occasions to the delight of many local Muslims:

Their tactics now appear to be to simply let things burn if no lives are in danger. There have been too many firemen and police injured trying to respond to arson and then ambushed.

Sweden has, for some time, been importing large numbers of Muslim immigrants from places like Afghanistan,Iraq,North Africa and Somalia and it's an attractive destination because of its liberal asylum policies and welfare benefits. The result has been that rather than integrating into Swedish society, the Muslims have imported their own culture to Sweden along with a corresponding rise in crime (particularly rapes of native Swedes) and the expenditure for social welfare benefits. In Husby, for instance, the percentage of the population receiving social welfare benefits is over four times as large as the average in Sweden as a whole.

And true to form, the Socialist Swedish government is the first to blame the rioting on yes, Sweden and Swedes.

For instance, Swedish Integration Minister Erik Ullenhag went public early on attributing the rioting to high unemployment and social exclusion in Sweden's immigrant-dominated areas.

"We know that there is discrimination in these areas, and these events don't improve the image of these areas, where there is a lot of positive stuff going on but which is totally eclipsed right now," he announced in an interview with TT, the Swedish News Bureau.

And of course, Muslim 'activists' on the scene were quick to attribute the violence to racism on the part of Sweden's notoriously politically correct police..

Rami al-Khamisi, a law student and founder of the youth organisation Megafonen, told the Swedish edition of online newspaper The Local that he had been insulted racially by police. Teenagers, he said, had been called "monkeys".

To listen to Khamisi and his friends, the riots are all about racism and segregation in Sweden "over the past 10, 20 years" from both a class and a race perspective. What's more some Swedes, especially in the current government appear to be eager to buy it.

As in France, what's going on in Sweden and a number of other European countries isn't about jobs, or racial slurs, or equality.

It's about flag planting and intimidation. They want to essentially establish a state within a state where sharia and Muslims rule.

As a look at the Qu'ran will tell you, this is standard operating procedure for Muslims in infidel countries once there are enough of them so that the tipping point is reached - "Kuffars, pay us the jizya (tribute) or face our violent jihad."

The Swedes have a small but efficient military and dispatching them to the riot areas, shooting a number of the rioters and deporting many of the others back to their countries of origin would end this quickly, but since it would be an admission thatthe entire multicultural experiment foisted on Swedes by their government has been an abject failure, that's unlikely to happen.

Instead, they'll allow the Muslims to take over the turf, riot periodically as reminder to keep the jizya flowing and knuckle under.

If you think this is something overseas and unrelated to the United States, just give it a few years. Boston and Ft. Hood are signposts along the road.

Coptic Christians Attacked And Under Siege By Mob In Cairo Cathedral

St Mark’s Coptic Cathedral in Cairo is not just any Coptic place of worship. It is the main Coptic religious site in Egypt, and the place where Pope Tawadros II, the leader of the Coptic Church lives.

Last night hundreds of Copts were besieged inside the cathedral after a funeral procession for five Copts who were killed during violent clashes in a north Egyptian town on Saturday was attacked by a Muslim mob.

Almost a hundred were injured and Mahrous Hana Tadros, a Christian, was killed in clashes outside the Cathedral while Copts who took cover in the cathedral compound itself were attacked with rocks, bottles, Molotov cocktails and even firearms.

Last night President Morsi issued a statement insisting that he had spoken to Pope Tawadros II, the leader of the Coptic church, and had given orders for the cathedral and citizens to be guarded. In practice, it worked out quite differently. Not only did the riot police who were supposed to protect th ecathedral not stop the mob, they actually teargassed the Christians trapped inside the compound.

Earlier, witnesses described how they were attacked by locals from Abbasiyya, the north-east Cairo neighbourhood where the cathedral is located. After being hit by rocks from the roofs of nearby buildings, the mourners were reportedly forced back into the cathedral compound.

Wael Eskandar, an Egyptian blogger who attended the funeral, said he saw people being showered with broken bottles from the roof of an apartment block opposite. After being attacked, he said, the people “started racing out of the side street and destroying the nearby cars”. He added that he was not sure if those attacking the vehicles were mourners. As night fell the streets around St Mark’s were echoing to the sound of gunshots and exploding tear gas canisters. Young men on either side of the 18ft-high compound wall exchanged a continuous hail of rocks and broken masonry. Others hurled Molotov cocktails and let off fireworks.

The security forces positioned outside the cathedral launched volley after volley of tear gas into the compound. Some of the thousands of onlookers gathered in the road cheered as the canisters rocketed towards Christians perched on the walls overlooking the main street.

The mob finally dispersed after Muslims started firing shots inside the cathedral and the trapped Christians responded with birdshot from weapons they had secreted inside.

The Quasi official Al-Ahruman do the rmedia  continue to describe the attackers as “unknown assailants” while Egypt’s Interior Ministry blamed the Christian mourners for the violence and said the riot police intervened to stop it. That's doesn't match eyewitness accounts, but at this point, it really doesn't matter. Here's a video of those 'unknown assailants' chanting Allah Akbar as they attack the cathedral:

It's pretty much what I've written before - Egypt no longer has Jews, so the Christians are the next in line to be plundered, raped and eventually driven out. There's an odd, poetic justice in that, and a lesson to be learned. when the Jews were driven out of Egypt after everything they owned was stolen in the 1950's, the vast majority of Copts were at best indifferent and at worst active participants. Not only that, but in an effort to be 'more Egyptian than th eEgyptians' a lot of them eagerly engaged in the endemic anti-Semitism that pervades Egypt.

Now, unfortunately, it's their turn.

The Coptic population is already down from 40% to less than 10% and you can expect those of them whom can to leave before it's too late.

Appeasement never works, and Islam has never played well with others. With an Islamist regime in power, what's going on now with Egypt's remaining Christians shouldn't be unexpected.

Their choices are to leave, convert or live as dhimmis with no rights whatsoever, to pay jizya (onetary tribute) to the Muslim and to feel themselves subdued, exactly how the Hadiths record Mohammed told his followers to treat infidels before he died in 632 CE.

Ambassador Susan Rice Pushes Obama's Failed Mideast Policy

http://abcnews.go.com/images/Politics/abc_this_week_susan_rice_jt_120916_wblog.jpg

America's UN Ambassador Susan Rice beclowned herself today talking to Jake Tapper on ABC's 'This Week':

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice told me this morning on “This Week” that the United States is not “impotent” in the face of violent anti-American protests sweeping the Muslim world.

After showing Rice a map of protests in 33 countries around the world in recent days, I asked Rice, “President Obama pledged to repair America’s relationships with the Muslim world. Why does the U.S. seem so impotent? And why is the U.S. even less popular today in some of these Muslim and Arab countries than it was four years ago?”

“We’re not impotent, we’re not even less popular, to challenge that assessment,” Rice said in response. “What happened this week in Cairo, in Benghazi and many other parts of the region was a result, a direct result, of a heinous and offensive video that was widely disseminated, that the U.S. government had nothing to do with, which we have made clear is reprehensible and disgusting.”

Rice also claimed that the attacks in Libya were spontaneous, not pre-planned. And that there were no Marines stationed in Benghazi.

Let's examine this in a little detail. Our embassies in Tunis and in the Sudan have already been evacuated, and the Sudan refused to allow Marine forces into what is supposedly U.S. sovereign territory to defend our diplomats. Even our embassy in London was attacked. The security forces at our embassy in Cairo put there by the Muslim Brotherhood government the Obama Administration helped put in power in Egypt melted away at a precise time when the original Cairo attack occurred, and that government's original response was that the invasion of our embassy was 'regrettable' rather than an apology.

None of the Egyptian security guards who disappeared have been arrested, nor have any of the Libyan security guards who were supposed to be guarding our consulate in Benghazi. They not only fled without making any effort to defend our diplomats, but there's significant evidence they may have even told the mob where they could find the safe house the Americans were stashed in.

The Marine contingent guarding our embassy in Cairo was disarmed per the State department no matter how the Obama Administration tried to spin this. Anyone hear any reports of warning shots being fired or any casualties among the rioters?

And in Banghazi, in spite of what Ambassador Rice said, there were a handful of Marines present. They were likewise disarmed, and two of them were dragged to their deaths from the safe house and torn apart by the mob. Again, there are no reports of any casualties among the rioters, as there would have been if the Marines were armed.

The idea of not taking extra steps to protect American personnel on the anniversary of 9/11 after Osama bin-Laden's death was an intel screw up of monumental proportions.

I don't know what Ambassador Rice calls it, but I call it pretty impotent.

As for it not being preplanned, that beggars the imagination. All of these 'spontaneous' attacks occurred pretty much on the same date, the anniversary of 9/11. In Egypt, eye witnesses verified that the Egyptian security guards all vanished at the exact same time, leaving the embassy open to attack. Not one of them stood his ground to protect the embassy, nor have any of them been disciplined for not doing so.

In Libya, not only did the perpetrators admit this was pre-planned, but the coordinated attacks were obviously planned in advance.

The idea that this was sparked by a poorly made YouTube video is an insult to our intelligence. Not that I blame Ambassador Rice for that. Like White House spokeshole Jay Carney, she was ordered to open wide, take a bite of the crap sandwich and keep repeating 'it's the movie, the movie, the movie...'

Okay, fine, if it's a YouTube video cause all this mayhem, than one thing the White House needs to do immediately is pressure Sony not to release what amounts to a multi-million dollar campaign ad for President Obama, Director Karen Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty," which celebrates the killing of Osama bin Laden.

As John Nolte over at Breitbart writes:

Think about it: if the poorly produced and laughably bad trailer for "The Innocence of Muslims" results in chaos, murder, and the burning of foreign outposts all throughout the Middle East, how much rioting and mayhem is a big-budgeted, slickly produced, Oscar-bait blockbuster celebrating the death of the leader of al-Qaeda going to cause?

Moreover, an excuse Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will not be able to use in the case of "Zero Dark Thirty" (as she did with "Innocence of Muslims") is the cowardly and self-righteous claim that the federal government and the Obama White House had nothing to do with "Zero Dark Thirty."

Because the federal government and the Obama White House had everything to do with "Zero Dark Thirty."

As we now know, in an effort to get this glitzy in-kind contribution (tens of millions of dollars) up on the screen in time to affect the election, it was the Obama Administration that gave the filmmakers tons of encouragement and a troubling amount of access to all kinds of classified material.

Indeed they did.

Since it's movies that cause terrorism if you swallow the Obama Administration's narrative, then I expect the President and the Secretary of State to publicly call on Sony to shelve this movie. Because we wouldn't want to injure the sensibilities of Muslims and cause more mayhem, would we?

US Embassy In Yemen Attacked As Islamoseethe Continues

The American embassy in in Yemen's capital, Sanaa was stormed by a mob of rioters who breached the embassy perimeter and reached the compound grounds, although they were unable to get into the main building. The U.S. flag was burned and replaced it with the black flag of jihad bearing Islam's declaration of faith — "There is no God but Allah."

Unlike Libya and Egypt, Yemeni security guards were quick on the scene and used tear gas and warning shots to disperse the crowd, and a number were arrested.Four people were killed and 34 others reportedly wounded, but there were no Americancasualties reported.

Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi swiftly condemned the attacks, ordered an investigation and promised to arrest the culprits, saying the attack by a "rowdy crowd" was part of a conspiracy to derail Yemen's close relations with Washington.

And that really was the best news out of the Middle East for America when it came to it.

The U.S. Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia saw its flag seized and burned by rioters, and angry demonstrations are still occurring at the sacked American embassy in Cairo, although nothing like the violence on 9/11.This time, police used tear gas to disperse the protesters instead of looking the other way and unlike Tuesday, the police kept the protesters away from the embassy's main compound.

In Iraq, the Shi'ites have already forgotten who spent blood and treasure to liberate them from Saddam. They predictably went through the usual threats, violence and flag burning in Baghdad's Sadr City,Basra and Najaf, although they did not attack the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. The protests were led by the Iranian backed Qais al-Khazali, leader of the Asaib al-Haq militia and by Moqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army.

If al-Khazai's name rings a bell, it's because he was a leader Iran’s “Special Groups” in Iraq, and masterminded the 2007 operation in Karbala in which five U.S. servicemen were kidnapped and murdered execution style. He was captured by American troops two months afterwards, but was put back on the streets by the Obama Administration as part of a prisoner exchange in 2009, something that I'm sure tore the guts out of the families these brave men left behind.

And in Berlin, the entire American consulate in the Zehlendorf area was evacuated after an employee reported a strange smell from an envelope.

The protests, which are occurring in various parts of the Muslim world are supposedly based on outrage over a movie that was never even released called 'The Innocence of Muslims' whose trailers appeared on YouTube.

The vast majority of the protesters have never seen it, of course, but that isn't really necessary to work them into a frenzy. This was really all about asserting turf on the anniversary of 9/11, at least in Libya and Egypt. And in Egypt, about the release from American custody of the Blind Sheik who was deeply involved in the first World Trade center bombing and whom Egyptian Preisdent Morsi has already made a major cause inEgypt.

For almost four years, these people have received a message from us that America is to blame, starting with President Obama's speech in Cairo.

To twist a phrase from President Obama's spiritual mentor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, those appeasement chickens are coming home to roost. And we haven't seen the end of it.

As an aside, the 'film' if it can be called that has an interesting back story. The 'filmaker', who gave his name as 'Sam Bacile' and claimed to be an Israeli Jew is actually an Egyptian Copt with a fairly slimy background living in Southern California, who has now gone into hiding.
