In second place Party Like It's 1980 All Over Again by Right Wing Nut House, Rick's fine piece warning the GOP against complacency.
Also getting votes were Obama As Marley by Wolf Howling, Are You Ready To Be a Democrat?by Bookworm Room, I Have a Nightmare by Soccer Dad, and Death and the Madam by Done With Mirrors.
In the non-Council category,the runaway winner was my nominee Losing Our Spines to Save Our Necks by Sam Harris at The Huffington Post...A superb must-read piece about about how the west is endangering its own freedoms by bending over backwards to appease Islam. I frankly was shocked to see this at HuffPo..which may just be a good sign.
As an indi9cation of how good that piece was, it beat out two superb pieces that tied for second in this catagory, Iraqis Begin to 'Despise' the Mahdi Army in Baghdad's Rusafa District by the always interesting Small Wars Journal, which was about how the 'popular Mahdi army' on dinosaur media myth is really looked upon by the Iraqi people and Escape From A Brooklyn Mosque by Atlas Shrugs..an account of religious thuggery by members of the religion of Peace here in the land of the free that must be read to be believed.
