Keith Olbermann Goes Insane On National TV

It' s been in the works for quite awhile, but leftard hero Keith Olbermann finally went batburgers live on the air at on MSNBC. Here are some of the highlights:

"The question was phrased as follows: "If we were to pull out of Iraq next
year, what's the worst that could happen, what's the doomsday scenario?"

And the President replied: "Doomsday scenario, of course, is that
extremists throughout the Middle East would be emboldened, which would
eventually lead to another attack on the United States. The biggest issue we
face is, it's bigger than Iraq, it's this ideological struggle against
cold-blooded killers who will kill people to achieve their political
objectives."

Mr. Bush, at long last,
has it not dawned on you that the America you have now created, includes "cold-blooded killers who will kill people to achieve their political objectives?" They are those in, or formerly in, your employ, who may yet be charged some day with war crimes.

Through your haze of self-congratulation and self-pity, do you still have no earthly clue that
this nation has laid waste to Iraq to achieve your political objectives? "This ideological struggle" you speak of, Mr. Bush, is taking place within this country. It is a struggle
between Americans who cherish freedom, ours and everybody else's, and Americans
like you, sir, to whom freedom is just a brand name, just like "Patriot Act" is
a brand name or "Protect America" is a brand name.

{...}the inspiration for another generation of terrorists in another country was provided by your government's farcical post-invasion strategy of letting the societal infrastructure of Iraq dissolve, to be replaced by
an American viceroyalty, enforced by merciless mercenaries who shoot unarmed Iraqis and then evade prosecution in any country by hiding behind your skirts, sir. Terrorism inside Iraq is your creation, Mr. Bush!

Mr. Bush, you destroyed the evidence that contradicted the resolution
you jammed down the Congress's throat, the way you jammed it down the nation's
throat. When required by law to verify that your evidence was accurate, you
simply resubmitted it, with phrases amounting to "See, I done proved it,"
virtually written in the margins in crayon. You defied patriotic Americans to
say "The Emperor Has No Clothes," only this time with the stakes, as you and the
mental dwarves in your employ put it, being a "mushroom cloud over an American
city." {...}

And as a final crash of self-indulgent nonsense, when the incontrovertible truth of your panoramic and murderous deceit has even begun to cost your political party seemingly perpetual congressional seats in places like North Carolina and last night Mississippi, you can actually say with a straight face, sir, that the members of Congress,
"the political heat gets on and they start to run and try to hide from their
votes," while you greet the political heat and try to run and hide from your
presidency, and your legacy, 4,000 of the Americans you were supposed to protect
are dead in Iraq, with your only feeble, pathetic answer being, "I was told by
people that they had weapons of mass destruction."

Mr. Bush, I hate to break it to you 6 ½ years after you yoked this nation and your place in history to the wrong war, in the wrong place, against the wrong people, but the war in
Iraq is not about you. It is not, Mr. Bush, about your grief when American after
American comes home in a box.
It is not, Mr. Bush, about what your
addled brain has
produced in the way of paranoid delusions of risks
that do not exist, ready to be activated if some Democrat, and not your twin Mr.
McCain, succeeds you.

The war in Iraq, your war, Mr. Bush, is about how you accomplished the derangement of two nations, and how you helped funnel billions of taxpayer dollars to lascivious and perennially thirsty corporations like Halliburton and Blackwater, and how you sent 4,000 Americans to their deaths for nothing!

When somebody asks you, sir, about Democrats who must now pull this country back from the abyss you have placed us at; when somebody asks you, sir, about the cooked books and faked threats you foisted on a sincere and frightened nation; when somebody asks you, sir, about your gallant, noble, self-abdicating sacrifice of your golf game so as to soothe the families of the war dead; this advice, Mr. Bush: Shut the hell up! Good night and good luck.

I fully expect Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Zawahiri and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to sue MSNBC for allowing Olbermann to pirate their best lines without attribution or credit. There are laws against that kind of thing in this country.

The fact that a supposed 'news corporation' would put this drivel on during prime time while we're at war in the the hopes of drawing some ratings to sell advertising during wartime speaks volumes.

And as you know, I say that having a fairly low opinion of the current occupant of the White House.

Olbermann and his puppet masters at MSNBC ought to get down on their knees and worship those 'merciless mercenaries' whose efforts make it possible for scum like Olbermann to safely insult them and their commander-in-chief.

It is astonishing how the gamesmanship of politics has gone from civil discourse to downright blasphemy.

One can not legitimately call themselves a Patriot as long as they so freely and willingly slander their commander in chief.

What will Olbermann do when Bush leaves office? I suppose he'll have to go back to making fun of Micheal Jackson again.

Hi Y'all

Aw, C'mon, Louie It was entertaining, no?

Hey Michael
Don't you DARE question Olbermann's patriotism.

His service and loyalty is beyond question....just not for our side!

Hello Frank,
Welcome to Joshua's Army.

Guys like Olbermann have discovered that there's a living to be made withg a certain audience that enjoys seeing the country bashed.

Once Bush is history, he'll simply find other targets. He has his rent to pay.

Regards To All And Le Bon Weekend,

Keith is a great American trying to save our country from people in industry who have bought and paid for news networks to lie and get business oriented people elected without any care for regular working people.

Its nasty yes, and when anyone talks about it like Keith it seems crazy to folks who listen to right wing radio or fox news. Sadly I dont blame them for being unkind to Keith. They are brainwashed and cant see what a patriot he is and how much he loves this country.

Is he a little crazy, yeah i guess so. As anyone would have to be to stand against the mainstream and convention. Its uncommon and not the usual person that does that.

Still he is right though. Bush is a horrible war criminal and all those congressmen and women who passed laws that ruined our regulations that kept oil prices in check and kept comodities from being used as toys for speculators are indeed not following the constitution. Its a reality. 50 years ago if a president did just 1 of the things on Kucinichest impeachment list they would of put them in jail, perhaps executed them. Times change and call for drastic measures. Keith is right, as imperfect a messenger as he is.

Hi Henry,
And welcome to Joshua's Army.

First of all, I'd like to compliment you on the respectful nature of your post, andfor having the guts to use your real name and e-mail.

JoshuaPundit is not an echo chamber, and a respectful challenge to my views always gets one in return.

I would challenge your views in several areas.

First of all, Olberrman does what he does because he is a media figure who gets paid to do what he does, no different than say, Sean Hannity. You may prefer his view to Hannity's but they both get paid by th esame people...their sponsors. Olbermann is therefore not to be construed as some kind of noble crusader for truth n' justice.

Second, I think you have a very mistaken view on what you call 'business oriented people' and those you refer to as working people.Without the first, the second doesn't exist.I hate to say it, but you obviously have never run a business or dealt with employees, and therefore haven't a clue as to what a responsibility their welfare is to the average business owner. Sweat out meeting payroll, parse through the various benefit packages you get offered as an employer, deal with issues like worker's comp and navigatethe everyday politics involved in keeping everybody working together productively and not at each other's throats and I guarantee your views will change.

I would also differ with you that Keith Olbermann is a 'patriot'. Politics should end at the water's edge, and for anyone to refer to the brave men and women who keep clowns like Olbermann safe to bray at the teleprompter as `coldblooded killers' and 'merciless mercenaries'is beyond despicable. He's no patriot in my view.

They're working people too, Henry. Did you ever consider that? And did you know that the Senate Democrats, led by Harry Reid, kept them from getting a desperately needed pay raise the Bush Administration wanted them to have out of sheer political posturing?

Now I understand you consider President Bush a war criminal, and as you know. I have a fairly low opinion of him myself, although fo rvery different reasons. But there's absolutely nothing on Kucinich's 'list' that holds up in any court of law. I assume you think that President Bush, as a American citizen is entitled to due process and his constitutional rights?

Lastly, if you want to blame somebody for the high price of gasoline, I suggest you point the figure at Big Government and the Democrats in Congress who have sucessfully stifled any US moves towards increasing the supply of domestic energy.

It's all about supply and demand, Henry

Thanks for dropping by

Keith Olbermann Countdown to desperation. Doesn't take him long to get there. The job of good journalism is to be a watchdog against the current powers that be. Keith Olbermann will never be that. His routine is always the same. Criticize the past administration, move on to slamming Rush Limbaugh. Nominate all top 3 Worst person in the World candidates from Fox News everyday and never have a guest that doesn't share the same political leaning as him.
