Keith Ellison, The Perfect DNC Head!!

The Democrats have a new hero who's heavily favored to take over running the Democratic National Committee (DNC) He's none other than Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN). He's a leading member of the Progressive Caucus in Congress, a black, a Muslim and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. I support him totally and hope he gets the job.

His background alone makes him a natural, and I'm glad to see that prominent Democrats like Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer are supporting his candidacy.

And his background? Simply perfect for the job he wants as the new voice for the entire Democrat party. Let's look at it, shall we?

Keith Ellison was born in 1963 in Detroit and raised Roman Catholic.At age 19, while attending Wayne State University, he converted to Islam. When the Nation of Islam split into the American Society of Muslims (a group modeled on classic Sunni Islam led by Elijah Muhammad's son Warith Deen Muhammad) and the breakaway reestablished Nation of Islam led by Louis Farrakhan, Ellison went with Farrakhan's group.

Ellison later attended the University of Minnesota Law School where in his third year, 1989-90, Ellison wrote two columns for the Minnesota Daily under the alias “Keith Hakim.” One column lauded “Minister Louis Farrakhan,” one of America's premier racists and Jew haters as well as defending the views of a well known Nation of Islam spokesman Khalid Abdul Muhammad, famous for a vicious speech he made to a Kean College, New Jersey audience that referred to Jews as people whose ancestors were cannibals who “crawled around on all fours in the caves and hills of Europe” and “slept in [their] urination and [their] defecation ... for 2,000 years.” He characterized contemporary Jews as “slumlords in the black community” who were busy “sucking our [blacks’] blood on a daily and consistent basis.” He said that Jews had provoked Adolf Hitler when they “went in there, in Germany, the way they do everywhere they go, and they supplanted, they usurped.”

Muhammed, who later went on to form the New Black Panther Party was also a good friend of another Democrat icon, the Rev Al Sharpton. Sharpton was at Muhammed's bedside when he died in 2001 and paid for Muhammad's $10,000 funeral.

In his second column, Keith 'Hakim' Ellison demanded reparations for black Americans and an all-black, geographically self-contained “homeland.” Two things to keep in mind - Ellison was not some punk kid when he wrote this stuff but a mature young man of 27, and second, as we'll see, the timeline and his writing doesn't jibe with his later claim of being involved with the Nation of Islam for only 18 months and being unaware of the racial bigotry and anti-semitism.

In February 1990, Ellison participated in recruiting Kwame Ture (aka Stokely Carmichael) to speak at his law school on the subject, “Zionism: Imperialism, White Supremacy, or Both?” Ellison certainly can't say he wasn't aware of who Ture was or what his views were.

In 1995, Keith Ellison continued his involvement with the Nation of Islam, helping Louis Farrakhan organize the Million Man March, along with another one of Farrakhan's friends, a young community organizer named Barack Hussein Obama. While newspapers mainly reported only the most general details the alphabet networks only aired a few very carefully edited snippets, I taped the entire thing courtesy of CSPAN. It was one of the worst public exhibitions of racism and outright Jew hatred in recent American history.

Ellison not only participated in this, he appeared onstage with Khalid Abdul Muhammad, who gave the kind of vicious speech you would expect Khalid Abdul Muhammad to give at that kind of gathering. Ellison was there for the whole thing.

In February of 1997 Ellison, who continued to serve as a local NOI spokesman (with the new name of “Keith Ellison-Muhammad”)attended a public hearing concerning Joanne Jackson of the Minnesota Initiative Against Racism (MIAR). Jackson, like Ellison a supporter of Louis Farrakhan and the NOI, was under fire for saying to a group meeting held in Temple Israel Synagogue of Minneapolis that she considered Jews “Jews are among the most racist white people I know.”

Ellison of course defended her, saying, “We stand by the truth contained in the remarks attributed to [Ms. Jackson], and by her right to express her views without sanction. Here is why we support Ms. Jackson: She is correct about Minister Farrakhan. He is not a racist. He is also not an anti-Semite. Minister Farrakhan is a tireless public servant of Black people, who constantly teaches self-reliance and self-examination to the Black community.”

Ellison started his political career   in 1998, when he ran, unsuccessfully, for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party nomination for state representative as “Keith Ellison-Muhammad.” In an article on his candidacy that appeared in Insight News, Ellison was still touting Farrakhan:

“Anticipating possible criticism for his NOI affiliation, Ellison-Muhammad says he is aware that not everyone appreciates what the Nation does and [he] feels there is a propaganda war being launched against its leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan.”

In February 2000, Ellison gave a speech at a fundraising event sponsored by the Minnesota chapter of a communist front group, the National Lawyers Guild, where he had he previously had served on the steering committee. The event was a fundraiser for Symbionese Liberation Army terrorist Kathleen Soliah after her arrest in St. Paul for the attempted murder of Los Angeles police officers in 1975. Aside from calling for her release, Ellison called her “basically … a black gang member” Ellison also spoke favorably of other high-profile murderers like Mumia Abu Jamal, Assata Shakur, and Geronimo Pratt.

This is the man who ran in 2006 as a Democrat for Minnesota's Fifth District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. He'd wised up, dropping the Mohammad from his name and glossing over his Nation of Islam background. When it did finally come up, he proved his fitness for head of the DNC by simply lying about it.

When Jews associated with the local chapter of the Jewish Community Relations Council, questioned his NOI ties, Keith Ellison wrote them a letter stating emphatically that his involvement with the Nation Of Islam only lasted 18 months around the time of the Million Man March, that he had no clue about the anti-semitic nature of the group and that he quit as soon as he found out.

As you can tell by the above timeline and history, he was lying in every respect about that, but the gullible Jews bought in and got behind him, and being that it's a safe Democrat district, he got in easily.

But wait there's more! There's also a whole other side to Keith Ellison's background. It involves his connections with Islamist, Muslim Brotherhood front groups like CAIR, the Muslim Public Affairs Committee(MPAC) and the International Institute of Islamic Thought.

And he's had some interesting backers, among them Nihad Awad (a self-identified supporter of Hamas who would have been jailed for material aid to terrorism if not for Obama's protection), who spoke at an August 25, 2006 fundraiser for Ellison. The likely head of the DNC accepted thousands of dollars in campaign donations raised by Awad.

And he also spoke at CAIR-Tampa's sixth annual banquet, where he urged his listeners to support Sami al-Arian, the former University of South Florida professor who had confessed two years earlier to material support for terrorism in raising money and performing other services for the Iran backed terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

And there's Ellison commenting on America's military response to 9/11 in a July 2007 speech by comparing comparing it to how the Nazis had exploited the 1933 burning of the Reichstag in Berlin: “It’s almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that. After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted.”

How's that for combining conspiracy theory, calling Republicans Nazis and supine appeasement in one short paragraph? He's brilliant, I tell you.

He's also a radical eat-the-rich advocate who admitted in a February 2013 interview with Fox News' Stuart Varney that he thinks it is “fair” for the wealthy to be taxed at whatever rate is necessary to raise money for the provision of services to more deserving lower-income Americans.

There's a lot more, but Keith Ellison's qualifications to be DNC head are clear. Let's sum them up.

Ellison has continued to be close to CAIR and other Islamist organizations. He's a J-Street darling and a reliable anti-Israel vote in Congress. He's a far left uber progressive, and he's a member of two, get it two Democrat grievance groups, a Muslim and black. And to top it all off, he shown a proven ability to lie convincingly to Jews about his racist, anti-semitic associations! He's PERFECT and embodies the Democrat party's policies and new direction. He's exactly the right guy to head the DNC, and I congratulate them on their choice.

An Honor Killing On Campus

 

Regular members of Joshua's Army may recall the name Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

She was raised as a Muslima in Somalia and Saudi Arabia, survived female genital mutilation, beatings, abuse and various aspects of Somalia's internecine clan warfare and became a devout member of the Muslim Brotherhood, after which her questions about Islam and the life she was leading led her to escape being 'given' in marriage to a distant male relative she had never met.and flee to Holland. There, she was granted Dutch citizenship and eventually became a member of the Dutch parliament where she became a voice alerting the people of her adopted country to the menace of radical Islam, and against the abuse of Muslim women and children in the Netherland's Islamic ghettos.

She later collaborated with the late filmmaker Theo Van Gogh on a film called 'Submission', which chronicled the plight of many Muslim women victimized as she was by the traditional tribal culture.The film caused a firestorm of protest among Muslims. Van Gogh was murdered in broad daylight by a fanatic Muslim while cycling to work one morning in 2004 and then had his corpse ritually mutilated. A note was pinned to Van Gogh's corpse promising Ayaan Hirsi Ali that she was the next target, with explicit Qu'rannic details of her `crimes against Islam' as an 'apostate', a death sentence in Islam. Other death threats followed, and Ayaan has lived under 24 hour security protection ever since.

She went through the experience of being forced to move out of her apartment because her Dutch neighbors were annoyed that the security protection 'inconvenienced them' and because they were afraid that the violence directed towards Ayaan Hirshi Ali might involve them. And the Dutch government, which was obligated to pay for her security as a member of Parliament also disliked the cost, the inconvenience and the political stigma of protecting an 'enemy of Islam' in a country that's over 25% Muslim, so they found a trumped up reason to take away her citizenship and force her to step down from her seat in parliament. Whereupon, she came here to America and became a noted author and speaker. You can read her story in her books 'Infidel', 'Nomad',and 'The Caged Virgin'

Since she came to America, she's been a tireless advocate for freedom and for women's rights,at the risk of her life and safety. Among other things, she helped form the AHA Foundation, which works to protect and defend the rights of women in the West from oppression justified by religion and culture.

So Brandeis decided to honor Ayaan Hirshi Ali. She was to be their commencement speaker and receive an honorary degree.

But when the local chapters of Muslim Brotherhood fronts like CAIR and the Muslim Student's Association heard about this, they went absolutely ballistic and were able to rope in enough guilty and frightened non-Muslim Lefties to go along with the mob to get Ayaan's honorary degree 'rescinded' and her invitation to speak revoked.

"This is a real slap in the face to Muslim students," said senior Sarah Fahmy, a member of the Muslim Student Association who created the petition said before the university withdrew the honor.

"But it's not just the Muslim community that is upset but students and faculty of all religious beliefs," she said. "A university that prides itself on social justice and equality should not hold up someone who is an outright Islamophobic."

Thomas Doherty, chairman of American studies, refused to sign the faculty letter. He said it would have been great for the university to honor "such a courageous fighter for human freedom and women's rights, who has put her life at risk for those values."

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Muslim advocacy group, said, "It is unconscionable that such a prestigious university would honor someone with such openly hateful views."

The organization sent a letter to university President Frederick Lawrence on Tuesday requesting that it drop plans to honor Ali.

"This makes Muslim students feel very uneasy," Joseph Lumbard, an American convert to Islam and the chairman of Islamic and Middle Eastern studies, said in an interview. "They feel unwelcome here."

The university said that the decision had been made after a discussion between Ali and university President Frederick Lawrence.According to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, that 'discussion' consisted of a phone call made simply to inform her after the decision had already be made.

A key part of the decision was said to be a statement by Ayaan Hirsi Ali in a 2007 Reason interview in which she said about Islam, "Once it's defeated, it can mutate into something peaceful. It's very difficult to even talk about peace now. They're not interested in peace. I think that we are at war with Islam. And there's no middle ground in wars."

"She is a compelling public figure and advocate for women's rights, and we respect and appreciate her work to protect and defend the rights of women and girls throughout the world," said the university's statement. "That said, we cannot overlook certain of her past statements that are inconsistent with Brandeis University's core values."

What are those core values?

Not too long ago, Brandei, which is a Jewish sponsored but secular university awarded an honorary degree to writer Tony Kushner at the 2006 commencement, one of the most bigoted and self-hating anti-Zionists on the planet.

Kushner has a number of inflammatory statements on record, like, “The biggest supporters of Israel are the most repulsive members of the Jewish community,”  and saying on another occasion that Israel’s founding a “mistake,” and that it “it would have been better if Israel never happened.”

 Brandeis (at least then) had a number of pro-Israel students and faculty, but when they raised questions about the propriety of a Jewish sponsored university,especially one named after one of the leaders of the Zionist movement in America honoring the likes of Tony Kushner, here's what the university president told them.

Brandeis bestows honorary degrees as a means of acknowledging the outstanding accomplishments or contributions of individual men and women in any of a number of fields of human endeavor. Just as Brandeis does not inquire into the political opinions and beliefs of faculty or staff before appointing them, or students before offering admission, so too the University does not select honorary degree recipients on the basis of their political beliefs or opinions.

Of course, Kushner, aside from his 'anti-Zionist' credentials is outspokenly gay and a member of New York's Leftist intelligentsia. Ayaan Hirshi Ali? Well yeah, she's black, but she's a conservative who's very much off the reservation. And let's repeat the mantra, everyone...thou.shalt.not.criticize.Islam.ever.

Another interesting recipient of an honorary degree from Brandeis is Israeli author Amos Oz. Oz is a rigorously secular denizen of the Far Left who ran unsuccessfully in 1973 for the Knesset as part of the Moked (New Left/Communist Front) Party. He is sharply critical of Zionism as well as Judaism in general almost to the point of hatred, describing religious Jews as "Hezbollah in a skullcap."

Speaking in 1989 to his pals in the peace at all cost crowd in Tel Aviv, Oz described the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria as “A small sect, a messianic sect, obtuse and cruel, emerged a few years ago from a dark corner of Judaism, and it is threatening to destroy all that is dear and sacred to us, to impose on us a wild and insane blood ritual ... They are guilty of crimes against humanity, their Jewishness is of the Hezbollah kind, their Zionism is like Abu Nidal’s."

Then there was this, in one of his essays: “Why didn’t Israel develop as the most egalitarian and creative social democratic society in the world? I would say that one of the major factors was the mass immigration of Holocaust survivors, Middle Eastern Jews and non-socialist and even anti-socialist Zionists.”

“Then there were the masses of Orthodox Jews… to whom socialism meant blasphemy and atheism.”

“As for the North African Jews,” Oz writes, they were “conservative, puritan, observant and family oriented and to some extent, chauvinistic, militaristic and xenophobic.”

Oz has even maintained a friendship with Palestinian terrorist Marwan Barghouti, who's currently serving five life terms in Israeli custody for the multiple murders of Amos Oz's fellow Israelis.

In short, Oz, in spite of his talent as a writer is a great example of a Jewish anti-semite. But Brandeis had no problem awarding him an honorary degree, in 1998.

I guarantee you there were no Muslims protesting about Brandeis honoring these two on the grounds of disrespect for Judaism or the feelings of religious Jewish students..

So I suppose these are the 'core values' of Brandeis. You have to be a celebrity of the Left...conservatives and classic liberals not allowed. You can criticize Judaism and Christianity all you want, but you must appease Islam in your public life,always, no exceptions allowed. Or someone could get hurt. And if you're a self-hating Leftist secular Jew who despises Israel, you're practically a slam dunk to receive an honorary degree and get an opportunity to speak and indoctrinate the students at Brandeis.

Yesterday, Ayaan Hirsi Ali issued a statement expanding on her remarks to Megyn Kelly:

Yesterday Brandeis University decided to withdraw an honorary degree they were to confer upon me next month during their Commencement exercises. I wish to dissociate myself from the university’s statement, which implies that I was in any way consulted about this decision. On the contrary, I was completely shocked when President Frederick Lawrence called me — just a few hours before issuing a public statement — to say that such a decision had been made.

When Brandeis approached me with the offer of an honorary degree, I accepted partly because of the institution’s distinguished history; it was founded in 1948, in the wake of World War II and the Holocaust, as a co-educational, nonsectarian university at a time when many American universities still imposed rigid admission quotas on Jewish students. I assumed that Brandeis intended to honor me for my work as a defender of the rights of women against abuses that are often religious in origin. For over a decade, I have spoken out against such practices as female genital mutilation, so-called “honor killings,” and applications of Sharia Law that justify such forms of domestic abuse as wife beating or child beating. Part of my work has been to question the role of Islam in legitimizing such abhorrent practices. So I was not surprised when my usual critics, notably the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), protested against my being honored in this way.

What did surprise me was the behavior of Brandeis. Having spent many months planning for me to speak to its students at Commencement, the university yesterday announced that it could not “overlook certain of my past statements,” which it had not previously been aware of. Yet my critics have long specialized in selective quotation — lines from interviews taken out of context — designed to misrepresent me and my work. It is scarcely credible that Brandeis did not know this when they initially offered me the degree.

What was initially intended as an honor has now devolved into a moment of shaming. Yet the slur on my reputation is not the worst aspect of this episode. More deplorable is that an institution set up on the basis of religious freedom should today so deeply betray its own founding principles. The “spirit of free expression” referred to in the Brandeis statement has been stifled here, as my critics have achieved their objective of preventing me from addressing the graduating Class of 2014. Neither Brandeis nor my critics knew or even inquired as to what I might say. They simply wanted me to be silenced. I regret that very much.

Not content with a public disavowal, Brandeis has invited me “to join us on campus in the future to engage in a dialogue about these important issues.” Sadly, in words and deeds, the university has already spoken its piece. I have no wish to “engage” in such one-sided dialogue. I can only wish the Class of 2014 the best of luck — and hope that they will go forth to be better advocates for free expression and free thought than their alma mater.

I take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported me and my work on behalf of oppressed woman and girls everywhere.

In a way, what Ayaan Hirsi Ali had to say about feeling sorry for Brandeis students hits the nail on the head. The confused, frightened dhimmis and Leftists who got in line with CAIR and the MSA to silence her participated in the equivalent of an intellectual honor killing. They have no idea of how Islamists regard them. They are simply Lenin's 'useful idiots' personified. And many of them will remain clueless - until the knife is at their throat.

North Carolina Passes Anti-Sharia Law

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory has signed a new bill into law that prohibits judges in the state from considering sharia in their rulings.

The bill, which easily passed both houses of the legislature uses language that targets any foreign laws, without specifically mentioning Sharia and thus will probably avoid what happened in Oklahoma, where a Democrat appointed Federal judge ruled the Oklahoma law unconstitutional on th egrounds it was discriminatory.

There are similar laws now in Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, South Dakota, and Tennessee with several other states pending, including Alabama, where the legislature approved a constitutional amendment for the state's voters to approve in 2014.

Muslim brotherhood front CAIR was in the forefront of a campaign to get Governor McCrory to veto the bill.They called a 'national action alert' urging Muslims to e-mail the governor:

This “foreign law” bill is a thinly-veiled attack on the state’s Muslim population, that only serves to marginalize Muslims and to deny them equal rights and equal access to the courts enjoyed by other religious groups.

To anyone whom knows anything about sharia law, this is ridiculous. Under sharia, women are essentially property. There is no age limit for a girl to be married off, wife beating is acceptable, a woman's testimony is worth half of a man's and in some cases like rape inadmissible unless there are two male Muslim witnesses. Women have no custody rights to their children in the case of divorce ( which can be done on any pretext by a husband even using three text messages), marital rape is legal, non-Muslims are not allowed to testify in court, and homosexual behavior calls for the death sentence. Far from denying Muslims equal rights and access to the courts, banning sharia from consideration in America's courts ensures it.

It's also necessary to codify this because a number of judges have taken it into their heads to acquit Muslims of crimes like marital rape,child abduction and wife beating because they have ruled that the perpetrators cannot be convicted due to 'cultural norms' and their religious principles.

Another aspect of this has to do with Islam itself. In Britain, where sharia is mandatory for family matters and has the same force as British common law, Muslim women have not only seen their legal rights eroded steadily by the use of sharia courts but it has contributed to the UK's Muslim communities becoming almost a state within a state.

If CAIR and anyone else want to live under sharia, well and good. There are a number of countries where where sharia is the basis of law and the time I checked,our pots and our airports were still functioning.

But this is America, where our laws and Constitution ensure protections that are incompatible with sharia law. To live here in America is to accept that.

President Obama Sends Support Message To Radical Muslim Brotherhood Front Group

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is a Muslim Brotherhood front group with an interesting history.It was started by, among others, Sami al-Arian, Islamic Jihad's own man in America who was convicted of laundering money and lending material support to terrorist groups. Another prominent Brotherhood jihadist, Adurahman Alamoudi worked closely with ISNA for years. He’s currently in a federal prison for funding al Qaeda and Hamas.

ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial. Like CAIR, they had been raising money for Hamas, some of which was used to murder American citizens. Many of their top executives were scheduled to be convicted and sent to prison in what would have been an open and shut second trial which might even have resulted in the groups being outlawed - until Eric Holder and the Obama Department of Justice filed 'decline To prosecute' motions on all of the players back in 2011.

Since then, like CAIR, ITNA, The Muslim Public Affairs Council(MPAC) and The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), ISNA has been a real favorite of the president. One of the president's close advisers is Mohamed Magid, the president of ISNA, who works directly with White House officials and even sits on a Homeland Security group that deals with ‘extremism’.

Another important Obama adviser with extremely close ties to ISNA and CAIR is none other than Dalia Mogahed, President Obama's personal pick to be his adviser on the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, a group most Americans have never heard of both which has real access to the president's ear.Like Magid, she was also a significant contributor to the Homeland Security Advisory Council's Countering Violent Extremism Working Group.It was Mogahed who reportedly helped write President Obama's apologetic speech in Cairo.

Magid and ISNA also participated in a 2012 review of FBI counter-terrorism training documents that ended in the bureau agreeing to purge any training materials documents that ISNA and other Muslim Brotherhood groups found offensive or “Islamophobic.” In fact, they even lobbied, along with other Muslim Brotherhood fronts to get the FBI's role in investigating Islamist terrorism in America reduced significantly, if not entirely.

They did exactly the same thing to the Department of Homeland Security in May of this year, vetting the training materials of anything remotely concerning Islamists, the Brotherhood or "Islamophobia"..with the full support of the president and members of his administration charged with what passes for security.

Mogahed and Magid are by no means unique in terms of being people with extremely close ties to the Ikhwan serving in the Obama Administration.

Again, the question comes up. Why is President Obama so enamored of the Muslim Brotherhood? The message he sent ISNA singles them out as 'White House Partners', a unique honor for a group which was heavily involved in one of the largest money laundering and terrorism trials in U.S. history.

Why has this president consistently intervened on the behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood at home and abroad? What's the benefit to America of supporting and enabling fascists who use a crescent instead of a swastika? Why has no mainstream American journalist ever asked President Obama this question?

Missouri's Dem Governor Vetoes anti-Sharia Law Legislation

The rot goes deep.

Missouri's Democrat governor Jay Nixon was presented with SB 267 which simply said that any foreign law would have no standing in Missouri courts, mirroring a similar bill in effect in Kansas.

It passed with bi-partisan (if mostly Republican) support in the legislature..and Governor Nixon vetoed it.

"This legislation seeks to solve a problem that does not exist, while creating the very real problem of jeopardizing Missouri's families' ability to adopt children from foreign countries. Here in Missouri, we believe in strengthening families and encouraging adoption. By placing additional barriers between couples who want to adopt and children who need loving homes, Senate Bill 267 is quite simply out of step with these basic values."

*chuckle* Why would adoptions not compliant with existing U.S. and Missouri law be allowed anyway?

What Governor Nixon is really doing is helping out his pals at CAIR, the Wahhabi funded Muslim Brotherhood front group who were prompt in giving this dhimmi a nice pat on the head.

Speaking of being out of step with America's basic values, I doubt Governor Nixon has ever read the Qu'ran or looked at what sharia law actually consists of.

This veto is a disgrace to anyone who reveres our Constitution and the freedoms it enshrines.

IRS Was Far Easier On Muslim Groups Than On Conservatives, Evangelicals

Corporate and tax attorney Maryam Khan Ansari who specializes in helping groups obtain tax exempt status from the IRS wrote an article in Illume magazine entitled "Do Muslim Nonprofits Have it Easier Than Tea Party Groups?" that sheds some interesting light on a few things. Having spent most of my legal career working with tax exempt entities, the IRS scrutiny on the Tea Party isn’t news to me. In my days at large law firms, I handled a portfolio of nonprofit Tea Party organizations and saw firsthand how the IRS treated them when it came to granting exemptions.

In many cases, the organizations fight tooth-and-nail to get through IRS scrutiny, often facing pages of questions from the IRS on their activities.

In some instances, the IRS went about it in a more roundabout way, calling into question the organization’s use of funds, its outside grants and operational issues.

Several of the applications were even sent up to the IRS’ National Office for elevated scrutiny.

The experiences mirror the allegations of the American Center for Law and Justice, who represented 27 organizations.

On the flip side, I’ve worked with numerous Muslim organizations as well. And every single application of a Muslim nonprofit has gone through the IRS, with less scrutiny. Of course, they still did get scrutiny– after all, Islamophobia is still pretty rampant everywhere and it’s inaccurate to say that they got a free pass. But truth be told, they never got a 10-page questionnaire on each and every one of their grantees.

And guess what?The IRS has also granted The Muslim Brotherhood front group  CAIR its tax-exempt status back  again despite their foreign-funding, status as an unindicted co-conspirator in terrorism  and numerous failures to report.

Some animals are very much more equal than others, especially when it comes to the Obama Administration and the IRS.

CAIR Director 'Radical Islam Is Not Primary Driver of Terrorism In the World '

Interesting, to see how Bill O'Reilly deals with the typical Muslim Brotherhood spin about 'perverting Islam'.

Especially coming from Niwad Awad, who would almost certainly be sitting in jail for material support for terrorism in the Holy Land Foundation Trial if Attorney General Eric Holder hadn't filed disinclination to prosecute briefs on President Obama's orders to let him and a number of other Islamists off the hook.

He was one of CAIR's kingpins caught on FBI wiretaps attending a 1993 meeting of Hamas leaders in Philadelphia conspiring on how to raise and launder money for them.

Of course, if O'Reilly was more knowledgeable he would have asked Awad about that.

And the inevitable followup if I were sitting in O'Reilly's chair would have been to ask Awad this one - if, as he says, he condemns terrorism, does he unequivocally condemn Hamas as a genocidal terrorist group?

Pulling aside the curtain to reveal how different CAIR's definition of terrorism is than ours is a lot more instructive than shouting at somebody.

How Jihad Incubates - The Boston Bomber's Mosque

 

One thing I've consistently said whenever we've experienced terrorism on our soil since 9/11; you'll almost always find a Saudi-funded mosque and a radical imam in the mix.These things don't come out of thin air.

In taking a look at the Boston Marathon bombers, one thing the media is attempting to gloss over is the connections between the brothers and radical Islamism.It turns out that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the now deceased older brother who appears to have led the bombers was a member of the Islamic Society of Boston.

A story that's being pushed in the media, when the ISB is mentioned at all is how  Tamerlan Tsarnaev was reputedly 'kicked out of the mosque' for an angry tirade against the Imam for preaching a sermon telling his congregants to emulate Martin Luther King Jr.

The 'source' for this Arabian Nights tale is an anonymous Muslim worshiper in the mosque who would only give his name as 'Muhammed.'

The story goes on to mention in passing that Tamerlan was readmitted to Friday prayer services.

As we'll see, it's highly unlikely that a sermon would be preached in this particular mosque using Dr. King as a role model.

The Islamic Society of Boston is a place I know of by repute.

The mosque is very much Muslim Brotherhood oriented, and claims the Muslim Brotherhood's spiritual leader imam Yusef al-Qaradawi as it's major influence and spiritual guide. One of its eight founding members was Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was jailed for 23 years in 2004 for material support of Islamist terrorism and money laundering.

You've heard me mention al-Qaradawi before. He has some interesting views.

He favors a world-wide Islamist caliphate under sharia law, including the beating of 'disobediant' women, female genital mutilation , and death for homosexuals and apostates, just as it says in the Qu'ran.

He's also called for a second Holocaust against Jews, saying, "Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. G-d willing, this time it will be the believers."

And while the ISB has made a few statements publicly distancing themselves from Qaradawi,  they have never distanced themselves from his theology. In fact, the Society used Qaradiwi's name in their fundraising and had al-Qaradawi as an honorary member of the board. Literature found in the mosque, speakers who've been invited guests , writings and speeches of people intimately associated with the mosque and transcripts of a number of sermons preached there confirm that the Islamic Society of Boston remains very much a Muslim Brotherhood hardline mosque.

The ISB has been noted in the past for nuisance lawsuits designed to silence anyone who pointed out the mosque's ties to the Brotherhood, the establishment of the mosque with Musim Brotherhood and Saudi funds, and the mosque's fund raising for 'charities' like the Holy Land Foundation and the Benevolence International Foundation, both of which were essentially money laundering outfits for the benefit of groups like Hamas and al-Qaeda, and both of whom were subsequently shut down by the feds.

Among others, the ISB sued terrorism expert Stephen Emerson, The Boston Herald, Charles Jacobs, co-founder of the David Project and the American Anti-Slavery Group, and the local FOX news channel. The ISB claimed it was libeled.

Unfortunately for the ISB,the lawsuits proceeded to the discovery phase and bank records and other documents showed that not only had the mosque acted as a fundraiser for the Holy Land Foundation and the Benevolence International Fund, but that the mosque was funded almost entirely by Saudi and Brotherhood funds to the tune of over $7 million.

Another thing that surfaced in discovery was the interesting  way the ISB obtained the land to build its mosque.

The ISB was built on land owned by the City of Boston that was valued at $1.5 million at the time. It was gifted to them in a murky process by Mayor Menino, who spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremony. The deputy director of the Boston city agency that 'negotiated' the land giveaway not only was a member of the Boston Islamic Society whom it paid to raise money in the Middle East, but also secretly advised the group about obtaining the land cheaply. Essentially, the ISB was 'negotiating' with itself. Aside from being an illegal conflict of interest, this was a clear violation of the establishment clause of the First Amendment, using public funds to favor one religion over all others...at the expense of the City of Boston's taxpayers.

Discovery also revealed that the ISB had attempted to delete all e-mails and documents relating to the land deal.

While we're trying to digest how home grown jihad happens, we'd do well to take a much clearer look at the places it incubates.

‘Killing Jews Is Worship’ Ad Campaign Rolled Out On SF Muni Buses

Pamela Geller of the American Freedom Defense Institute is rattling people's cages again.

She's started another campaign of bus ads, this time in San Francisco where a number of anti-Israel ads have run on the city's Muni buses without complaint, just like in New York City and elsewhere.

“The purpose of our campaign is to show the reality of Jihad, the root causes of terrorism. Using the exact quotes and text that they use,” said Geller.

She got the idea as a response to a number of CAIR ads that were put on San Francisco's buses that were designed to try to disassociate the word “jihad” with violence.

Yes, the City of San Francisco saw nothing wrong with carrying ads for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim Brotherhood front group and an unindicted co-conspirator in supplying material support for terrorism whose chief executives aren't sitting in jail only because the Obama Administration filed a 'decline to prosecute' motions in what amounted to an open and shut case.

But as you can imagine, the sort of politicians that run San Francisco had a number of issues with Geller's ads:

District Attorney George Gascon, condemned the campaign as "Islamophobic bigotry', while Board of Supervisors President David Chiu called the members of the American Freedom Defense Initiative “well-known hate extremists” and said he is introducing a resolution to denounce the ads.

Ah well...just like Pavlov's famous dogs, these sort of people salivate on command when they get the appropriate stimuli, whether it makes sense of not.

The truth about jihad? Here's my view, as one who has spent some time studying the matter. It is true that the Muslim concept of jihad does correspond loosely with our term 'struggle'. Thus Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf", originally translated into Arabic by Palestinian leader and Nazi ally Haj Amin al-Husseini and still a best seller in the Arab world translates as 'My Jihad.'

Technically speaking, it can refer to an inner struggle. That is its spiritual meaning when one is speaking of oneself as an individual.

However, when it concerns the Ummah, the Muslim nation, Muslims as a group, and whenever it is used politically, it always refers to Holy War,jihad bis saif, and all four major fiqhs (schools of Islamic jurisprudence) have clearly defined that.

That's why jihad manifested in that way almost always involves violence towards kuffars, non-believers.

As Mohammed told his followers in the Hadiths, which recount the life, times and saying of Mohammed as recorded by his followers, "In the shade of swords shall ye find Paradise."

And there are numerous other references to jihad and Muslim's duty to wage Holy War in the Qu'ran and hadiths...Qur'an:9:5, Qur'an:9:29, Qur'an:8:39, Ishaq:326, Bukhari:V4B53N386, and Qur'an:47:4 are just a few of many examples.

It is what it is.

It's very revealing that far too many Muslims who claim to be peace loving devote a great deal of time and effort to condemning people like Geller for their 'Islamophobia' and almost no time at all condemning the likes of Hamas, Hezbollah, Lashkar e Tiaba and other terrorist groups that claim Islam and yes, jihad, as their inspiration and their rationale.

One can only wonder at their motivations.

Kansas Passes Anti-Sharia Legislation

The Kansas State Legislature has approved a bill preventing the state courts or government agencies from basing rulings on any foreign law or legal system that would not grant the parties the same rights guaranteed by state and U.S. constitutions.

While the law is broadly written, it is obviously aimed at sharia, Islamic law.

Needless to say Muslim Brotherhood front group CAIR is seething.

"It is an effort to demonize Islam," said Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Washington-based council. "As Muslims are seen participating in a positive way in society, that really irritates some people."

Of course, someone could quite legitimately ask whether sharia law has any place in American jurisprudence, since it expressly denies equal rights to women, homosexuals and non-Muslims, legitimizes domestic violence and goes against the entire letter and spirit of our Constitution, and presumably that of Kansas.

In fact, there was a case in Sedgewick County that very much weighed on Kansas legislator's minds, where Hussein Hamdeh, a Wichita State University physics professor, filed for a sharia-style divorce in November 2010 from his wife, Hala.

According to their Lebanese Islamic marriage contract, all she was entitled to was a $5,000 payment, and Hamdeh's attorney told the courts that Islamic law limits spousal maintenance payments to her to three months. Her attorney told the court that following Islamic law would leave her "destitute."

The Kansas legislature was a little sharper than their neighbors in Oklahoma, who passed similar legislation in 2010 but had it blocked by a Democrat appointed judge and the appeals court because it specifically mentioned sharia, which could be considered discriminatory. The Kansas bill doesn't, and it's going to be a lot harder to attack, although I'd be surprised if CAIR, aided by the Obama Justice Department didn't try.

There are a number of other states considering this type of legislation, and Kansas will hopefully prove a model.There's some things that ought to be 'demionized' or at least beyond the pale in a free society.

If people like Mr. Hooper prefer living under sharia, the last time I checked you could still buy airplane tickets to countries that base their laws on it. And there's nothing stopping them following their principles, voting with their feet and leaving.

Legal Group Aids Army Instructor Ousted Over Complaints By U.S. Islamists

U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley, a West Point graduate and highly-decorated combat veteran with 22 years of service was a well-respected and highly regarded instructor at the Joint Forces Staff College at the National Defense University

But when Islamist groups like the Muslim Public Affairs Council(MPAC) and CAIR screamed bloody murder about the course he was teaching, “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism”, the word went out from the Obama White House, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey criticized Dooley publicly during a Pentagon press conference characterizing his course as objectionable, unprofessional, and “against our values,” Dooley was fired from his position as an instructor and his career was effectively dead ended so that any chance of promotion was over.

"This was a very heavy-handed approach from the very top,” said Richard Thompson, chief counselor and president of the Thomas More Law Center, a national nonprofit public interest law firm handling Dooley’s case. “He had a brilliant career ahead of him," Thompson said. "Now, he has been flagged.”

Following Dempsey's criticism, Dooley received a negative Officer Evaluation Report (OER) after acing them for the past five years, according to Thompson. In military circles, the bad OER was a scarlet letter.

“They [superiors] ordered a negative evaluation. He will never have the opportunity for promotion unless this is overturned,” Thompson said.

The Army is declining comment, but Dooley's legal team says that they are prepared to file a civil lawsuit in federal court if Dooley’s negative ranking is not overturned and corrected.

LTC Dooley is still a serving officer and can't comment, but Thompson pointed out that the guidelines from the NDU Faculty Handbook gave LTC Dooley permission to teach free of limitations:

The Faculty Handbook states; “Academic Freedom at National Defense University is defined as freedom to pursue and express ideas, opinions, and issues germane to the University’s stated mission, free of limitations, restraints, or coercion by the University or external environment. Academic freedom is the hallmark of an academic institution

These guidelines were of course ignored when LTC Dooley publicly humiliated and was removed as an instructor, because the eleventh commandment in the Obama Administration appears to be 'Thou shalt appease Islam and Islamists.

Hopefully a reversal of this injustice may signify the start of a new attitude.

Expecting our warriors to fight against an enemy their leaders are afraid to even name correctly is the height of insanity.

CAIR Wins One At West Point

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has released an announcement bragging that they have successfully prevented retired Lieutenant General William G. “Jerry” Boykin from speaking at an upcoming prayer breakfast at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

“We welcome Mr. Boykin’s withdrawal from this event and hope that the speaker who replaces him will offer cadets a spiritual message that promotes tolerance and mutual understanding,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad in a statement.

I love hearing about 'tolerance and mutual understanding' from a man who is on record saying he supports Hamas and was on the verge on being indicted and tried in the second phase of the Holy Land Foundation Trial..until the Obama Department of Justice filed declinations to prosecute on Awad and a slew of others and allowed them to avoid prosecution. Yes, they're getting bold indeed.

So who is General Boykin, and why was CAIR so anxious to stop him from speaking at West Point?

Lt. General William 'Jerry' Boykin has a long and distinguished career specializing in intelligence and Special forces Warfare. Among his decorations are the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Legion of Merit (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Bronze Star, Air Medal and the Purple Heart (with Oak Leaf Cluster. He also attended the Armed Forces Staff College, Army War College, and received a masters from Shippensburg University.

Boykin started out in armor with the Army's 2nd Armored division and later moved over to the Screaming Eagles, where he got his jump badge as a paratrooper. He later volunteered for the Army's elite Delta Force,and participated in a number of Army operations, serving in Grenada, Somalia, Panama and Iraq.

Boykin then served with the CIA Agency as Deputy Director of Special Activities, and ended up promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

After that,he served as the Commanding General for the U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and went from there to being the the Commanding General in charge of the US Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center. He finished his career as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence during the Bush Administration and retired in 2007.

So why would there be a problem with an experienced, intelligent soldier like this with a lifetime of service to his country addressing the West Point cadets at a prayer breakfast?

Oh, wait, I forgot one thing. He's a committed and devout Christian with a rather jaundiced view of Islam, sharia and jihad.

For instance, back 2003 when he was hunting down terrorist Osman Atto in Mogadishu he remarked: "He went on CNN and he laughed at us, and he said, 'They'll never get me because Allah will protect me. Allah will protect me.' Well, you know what? I knew that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol."

Those remarks were taped clandestinely and whipped into a firestorm by William Arkin, an anti-military far Leftwing writer then working for NBC, who reported them in the worst possible light. Boykin attempted to clarify his remarks, saying that he was implying that Atto's true "god" was money, but that was enough to set CAIR, the dinosaur media, and all of the politically correct politicians in DC at Boykin's heels.The only one who seriously defended him was SecDef Don Rumsfeld ( likely after giving him a decent chewing out for not being more careful). Rummy referred to Boykin as "an officer that has an outstanding record in the United States armed forces" an dmentioned a few things about freedom of speech.

Since he's been retired,Boykin has been a lot more outspoken, warning that there is a stealth jihad occurring here in America and that a large percentage of the mosques have already been radicalized.He also has made remarks to the effect that as a Christian, he feels there is n ongoing spiritual war that is continuous as articulated in the Bible...and that it's not confined to the war of terrorism.In other words, he takes literally what G-d told the Jews about Amalek.

I especially liked these remarks of General Boykins, spoken in 2008 at a conference in Israel and received with a standing ovation:

We as believers have been promised that we will spend an eternity with God. Last Saturday I was doing a men's conference in Fredricksburg, Virginia and I was praying during the worship service and something dawned on me and it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me.

And the Holy Spirit said, "this is what I want you to share with My men today", and I'm going to share it with you and this is what it is: One day, we're going to stand before the gates of Heaven. Some of us want to be able to walk up there in a white robe and we want to sing Abba Father and Amazing Grace and we want to say to the Lord, "I worshiped You."

But I want you to think about this: Here's the way I want to enter the gates of Heaven. I want to come skidding in there on all fours. I want to be slipping and sliding and I want to hit the gates of heaven with a bang. And when I stand up and I stand before Christ, I want there to be blood on my knees and my elbows. I want to be covered with mud. And I want to be standing there with a ragged breast plate of righteousness. And a spear in my hand. And I want to say, "Look at me, Jesus. I've been in the battle. I've been fighting for you." Ladies and gentlemen, put your armor on and get into battle.

No wonder CAIR didn't want this man anywhere near the cadets.

Originally, West Point stood by its commitment to have General Boykin speak at the breakfast, saying he was aware that it was an interfaith event and wasn't going to say anything untoward. But the pressure was intense,including,if my sources are correct, directly from Washington. And in the end, General Boykin, depending on whom you believe was either disinvited or chose not to subject the Academy to any more controversy and opted out.

So CAIR and their allies won this particular battle. But General Boykin continues to write and speak and is finding a great many listeners in other quarters, so a temporary setback of this kind
is likely to just get him to intensify his efforts. I'm sure this particular warrior is going going to keep right on going until he wins.

A Bridge Too Far: CAIR Versus Bare Naked Islam

I note with interest a PR wire sent out by the The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) boasting that they had taken down an 'anti-Islam hate site'. The site in question is Bare Naked Islam. ( h/t memeorandum)

CAIR's PR wire is entitled "CAIR Asks FBI to Probe Internet Threats to Mosques" and they cite their successful attempt to have Wordpress shut the site down.

Predictably, a collective shriek went through the blogosphere, starting with Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit and there were a multitude of calls to 'boycott sharia compliant Wordpress.'

I doubt this will make me any friends, but I don't support that action at all, and I think it's worth the time to explain why.

I don't need to tell my regular readers what I think of CAIR. The information that came out in the Holy Land Federation trial on CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood fronts should have been enough to shut them down permanently and provide jail sentences for a number of their members, and that's exactly what would have happened if the Obama Department of Justice hadn't filed Disinclination to Prosecute briefs in what were likely open and shut cases, letting the Islamists walk free.

But in this case, I took an actual look at the content CAIR was protesting before joining the hue and cry.

It's a screen shot of what appears to be an actual page from Bare Naked Islam's site, and if that was what was actually running there, CAIR was entirely within their rights to voice their concern and bring to to WordPress's attention.

The page in question celebrates a graffiti attack on a French mosque with the text "Whoo Hoo! Will the Muslims ever get a clue they aren't welcome in France?"

The comments are even worse, with many of them calling for the burning of mosques 'with the asslifters inside of them.' Others call for violent attacks on Muslims. You can find the page and the comments at the above link.

If that was truly what BNI was allowing on their site, ( and I wouldn't put it past CAIR to manufacture something like this) the site owner definitely crossed the line. The Supreme Court has made it quite clear on a number of occasions that free speech ends when it comes to bodily harm and mayhem. That's exactly how neo-Nazi Tom Metzger's conviction was upheld - because of messages on his answering machine urging violence on various ethnic groups he didn't care for. When you provide a forum for this kind of violent hatred, you are past protected speech and yelling fire in a crowded theater.

I would also add that as far as I'm concerned, the site owner had a responsibility to monitor the comments. The fact that the owner didn't gives credence to the appearance that the owner not only didn't disagree, but supported and approved using the site as a forum for those kind of sentiments.

There is plenty to be said about Islamist infiltration in America, about jihad, about creeping sharia, about the threat of Islamists and Salafists to our civilization, and I've said it here more than once. But to call for the butchering of innocent people praying in a mosque is simply evil. In fact, it's exactly how jihadis treat churches in places like Nigeria, Pakistan and Indonesia.

And speaking just for myself,I consider that not only irresponsible but morally reprehensible.

It's also stupid, because it plays right into the Islamist's hands.

It's not well known, but a fair number of domestic jihad terrorist attacks here in America have been thwarted because an American Muslim saw or heard something in a mosque, overheard a conversation, saw something that didn't look or feel right and reported it to the authorities, often at risk to themselves.

They did it out of simple decency, which is the frame where the majority of people operate ordinarily. But they also did it because they realized that every jihad attack here in America reflected on them as Muslims and threatened their continued existence as free citizens in a free country.

It works exactly the same way for the kind of material I saw on that Bare Naked Islam page. It allows Islamists like CAIR to use it to shut down legitimate criticism of Islamism and jihad, it gives credence to the constant whining about Islamophobia and most importantly, it allows them to go to Muslims who may not support CAIR's agenda and raise money and support from them, saying: 'You see why you need us? You see now how we were right all along?'

A friend asks 'do you really think it's worth losing their site over?' That's not my decision to make. But if what CAIR linked to was what was actually appearing on Bare Naked Islam and not manufactured, then as far as I'm concerned, Wordpress was well within their rights to decide that they didn't want to be associated with that kind of material, and to invite the owners of Bare Naked Islam to take their content elsewhere.

It's a decision I would have made myself, CAIR or no CAIR. There's real danger in getting so blinded by hatred that you become what you despise without realizing it.

The devil of our lesser nature inside all of us laughs out loud at that kind of self-inflicted wound.

Holy Land Foundation Convictions Upheld On Appeal

There are some very sad jihadis in Texas today...

The convictions in the Holy Land Foundation trial have been upheld by the Fifth Circuit and the appeals denied:

Ghassan Elashi, of Richardson, a Holy Land Foundation founder, received 65 years for support of Hamas, money laundering and tax fraud. Shukri Abu Baker, of Garland, who was Holy Land's CEO, received 65 years for support of Hamas, money laundering and tax fraud. Mufid Abdulqader, of Richardson, was a top volunteer fundraiser and sang about Hamas in a Palestinian band that played at fundraising rallies, received 20 years for conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization; conspiracy to provide funds, goods and services to a specially designated terrorist; and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Abdulrahman Odeh, who started Holy Land's office in New Jersey, received 15 years in prison for conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization; conspiracy to provide funds, goods and services to a specially designated terrorist; and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Mohammad El-Mezain, an imam who ran Holy Land's office in California, received 15 years in prison for providing support to Hamas.

The HLF, once the largest Muslim charity in the United States, had been under investigation for years before it was shut down by the Bush administration months after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In their appeals, defense attorneys argued that the government's use of anonymous Israeli witnesses and other issues resulted in an unfair outcome for their clients, two of whom are serving 65-year sentences.

In today's opinion, Fifth Circuit Judge Carolyn Dineen King, writing on behalf of colleagues Emilio M. Garza and James E. Graves, Jr., noted:

"While no trial is perfect, this one included, we conclude from our review of the record, briefs, and oral argument, that the defendants were fairly convicted. For the reasons explained below, therefore, we affirm the district court's judgments of conviction of the individual defendants. We dismiss the appeal of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development."

Those 'anonymous Israeli witnesses' were Shin Bet and other security personnel whose personal safety and the secrecy involved in other ongoing investigations might have been compromised had they been identified.

These cockroaches helped fund the murder of countless civilians, including a number of American citizens. However, I agree that they didn't merit these kind of sentences.

A rope and a pigskin burial would have been more in line with what they merited.

It should be noted that this was the trial in which CAIR,ISNA and a number of other organizations people associated with these Muslim Brotherhood fronts were named as unindicted conspirators. This was supposed to be only the first round of trials associated with the HLF, and a second round of trials was scheduled to go after the 'unindicted co-conspirators'.

That trial would have been a slam dunk, because the Islamist group's attorneys appealed to have their names removed and not only lost the appeal but ended up causing government evidence to be unsealed that connected them even more directly with the Hamas fundraising and material support for a terrorist group.However, the Obama Department of Justice filed Disinclination to Prosecute briefs in these cases, letting the Islamists walk free. So today's verdict is just a partial victory.

It isn't just Fast and Furious Eric Holder is covering up for.

Allen West Has A One-Word Response To CAIR

The South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) , a Muslim Brotherhood front group sent a letter to Rep. Allen West at the beginning of the month. The letter, from CAIR South Florida Executive Director Nezar Hamze, demanded that Rep.West cut his ties with 'Islamophobes' Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Joe Kaufman, and Joyce Kaufman, among others.

CAIR Loses Tax Exempt Status

About time.

The Muslim Brotherhood front group known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)has officially lost its tax exempt status with the IRS.

CAIR had failed to file required annual reports, known as form 990s, detailing their revenues and expenses, for three consecutive years, since the IRS approved a separate tax-exempt CAIR Foundation in 2007.

Both the foundation and CAIR national are on the list of organizations who have lost their tax exempt status, but CAIR's web site continues to solicit donations by touting them as tax deductible two weeks after the IRS issued the list and sent notifications to the groups.

In reality, as my regular readers know, this will only have a limited effect on CAIR's work in America, since much of their primary funding comes from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

A separate problem for CAIR is that their membership has dwindled since they were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas money laundering trial. Even with Attorney General Eric Holder covering for them by refusing to prosecute whta amounted to an open and shut case, their brand name has been tarnished to the point that they'll likely do what Islamist front groups usually do...metastasize into another group with a different name.

Making it illegal for foreign countries to fund political lobbying groups and religious institutions here in America would be a good start towards really solving this problem, but that's unlikely considering who's in the White House right now.

Why Is Eric Holder Covering Up For CAIR?

The Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial was a landmark case involving our basic ability to combat fund raising for jihad against the West here in our own country. Essentially the HLF was a money laundering setup designed by the Muslim Brotherhood to raise money here and front it to terrorist groups like Hamas.

Along with the main participants being found guilty, a number of other Muslim Brotherhood front groups like CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America ( ISNA) the North American Islamic Trust of (NAIT) and a number of people in the leadership of these groups were all named as unindicted co-conspirators, in preparation for formal indictments and a second round of trials to be held later.

In the interim, CAIR and several other of these unindicted conspirators filed an appeal to have their names taken off this list and demanded that the evidence against them be unsealed.

Unfortunately for them, when the 5th Court of Appeals had Judge Solis comply, not only did Judge Solis' ruling make a prima facie case for these groups in fact providing material support for terrorism, but the appellate court endorsed the ruling, finding ample grounds to prosecute these groups for providing material support for terrorism.

That was back in November of 2010, and the government was gathering its case together for the second round of the HLF trials when a funny thing happened.

CAIR founder and chairman Omar Ahmad and current CAIR executive director Nihad Awad were caught on FBI wiretaps attending a 1993 meeting of Hamas leaders in Philadelphia, as FBI agent Lara Burns testified in court. Both were on the list of unindicted conspirators about to become indicted co-conspirators and tried, and the prosecution had a very strong case since the appellate court had already ruled.

But suddenly, on March 31of this year a "Declination of Prosecution of Omar Ahmad," was sent from Assistant Attorney General David Kris to Acting Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler. The Obama Department of Justice subsequently filed declinations to prosecute on most of the rest of the individuals cited as unindicted co-conspirators and ended the case, essentially letting CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT off the hook, as well as the executives involved.

The exchange below is quite interesting, as it involved Attorney General Eric Holder denying to House Judiciary committee member Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX)that the Obama Administration scuttled the investigation against these Muslim Brotherhood fronts for political considerations.

Jim Jacks was the interim federal attorney who successfully prosecuted the first round HLF trials and successfully defended the appeal by the unindicted co-conspirators in the 5th circuit. Last month, a report, quoting anonymous sources , described how Jacks and local FBI agents vehemently disagreed with the Obama Administration's decision not to indict Ahmad and to end its prosecution of the case against the Muslim Brotherhood fronts, out of fear of alienating the Muslim community.

As Rep. Gohmert points out, Jacks apparently said one thing before the disinclination to prosecute memo and something very different afterwards..and Gohmenrt asks Attorney General Eric Holder if political pressure was put on Jacks to get him to flip flop.



Eric Holder is, shall we say, somewhat habitually challenged when it comes to credibility and it's obvious that the word came down from the top, probably from the president himself.

These Muslim Brotherhood fronts have their tentacles deep in the Obama White House and Obama is counting on their help and support in the coming election.

Aside from that, the last thing the Obama Administration wants is controversy involving Muslim Brotherhood groups here in America....not when different figures in the Administration are busy telling us how secular and peaceful the Muslim Brotherhood is in preparation for outreach to the upcoming new regimes in Libya, Egypt and 'Palestine'.

Dick Durbin, The Senator Who CAIRS

“...from what I have read [CAIR] is unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its association with groups that are suspect." - Senator Richard Durbin, Senate Hearing on September, 2003

Senator Dick Durbin finally got his hearings on 'Islamophobia' and violations of Muslim Civil rights , underway.

Durbin's hearings are obviously meant to be a counterweight to Rep. Peter King's House committee investigation on radical Islam.

Interestingly enough,the subcommittee involved, which Durbin chairs, is the Judiciary Committee's new subcommittee on civil rights and human rights, and this is its first hearing.

The odd thing is that according to the latest FBI statistics, anti-Islamic hate crimes accounted for only 9.3 percent of the 1,376 religiously motivated hate crimes recorded in 2009, versus the 70.1 percent that were anti-Jewish. And I'd love to see the numbers on what percentage of those anti-Jewish hate crimes were perpetrated by those poor, downtrodden Muslims.

Nevertheless, Durbin's committee chose to go after Muslim victimhood first.

In the absence of real statistics, the committee is taking testimony from some interesting sources. One of them is Thomas Perez, the Department of Justice's assistant attorney general who could be said to be the Obama Administration's point man in fulfilling the president's declaration on al-Arabiya that he considered one of his primary duties as president to be the defender of Islam.

Perez has been in charge of efforts like the Obama Administration's defense of the Ground Zero Mosque, the DOJ lawsuit of a Chicago-area school district for rejecting a Muslim middle school teacher’s request to take three weeks off in the heart of the school year to travel to Mecca for the haj (which occurs for four days, between the 8th and 12th days of Dhu al-Hijjah and not for 3 weeks)and inserting the DOJ muscling local municipal governments in central Tennessee over the controversy involved in building a number of mega-Mosques because of the Muslim Brotherhood ties of people involved in the proposed Islamic Center Of Murfreesboro, the murky sources of funding, the process by which permits were issued and the zoning considerations.

Another very interesting star witness is one Farhana Khera, described in one news story as a 'Muslim civil rights leader.' She's actually a vociferous foe of FBI investigation of any possible Islamist terrorist activities, advising her fellow Muslims not to talk to the FBI under any circumstances. In accordance with these principles, she publicly supported a U.S. imam for revealing to a Muslim terrorism suspect that he was the subject of an FBI investigation.And,of course, she also has some interesting ties with the Muslim Brotherhood.

But let's dig a bit deeper shall we? How and why did Senator Dick Durbin change his views on Cair so radically?

It turns out that since 2003, Durbin has cultivated some quite close ties with CAIR and the Mosque Foundation, two groups which have both a large presence in Chicago and fairly clear histories of support for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Just last week, Durbin wrote a love letter to CAIR's Chicago chapter, saying it "advances a greater understanding of the Muslim culture and serves as an essential thread in the multicultural fabric of our nation. Your efforts to advocate for tolerance promote the civil liberties of all communities."

Tolerance? CAIR?

Last April, he wrote a similar letter to coincide with CAIR's annual fundraising banquet: "CAIR-Chicago's efforts to ensure justice and equality demonstrate that working for greater civil liberties of one community advances the civil liberties of all communities," Durban wrote. "Your organization promotes a greater understanding of the Muslim culture and serves as an essential threat in the multicultural fabric of our nation."

Around the same time, Senator Durbin visited the notorious Bridgeview Illionois Mosque and posed for a happy little photo-op with two Islamists, the mosque’s director, Jamal Said, and the mosque’s imam, Kifah Mustapha, both of whom were named as unindicted conspirators in the Holy Land terrorism trial, a federal bust of a Muslim Brotherhood scam to launder money and smuggle $12 million to Hamas.

I think by now you have a pretty good idea of where this is going.

Durbin knows that Barack Obama has a 78% approval rating among Muslims, largely because of his appeasement of Islam. Muslims, both the more conventional ones and those involved with Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam are an important constituency in Chicago.There's a great deal of campaign money involved for those willing to prostrate themselves appropriately, and Durbin comes up for re-election in 2012.

Allen West In Action- Confronted by A Qu'ran Wielding CAIR Executive

Nezar Hamze, CAIR’s Executive Director tried to sandbag retired Lt. Col, Rep. Allen West on the subject of radical Islam at a townhall meeting in Pompano Beach. Big, big mistake.

This Muslim Brotherhood shill confronted Congressman West and asked him to point out where in the Qu'ran it gives orders to Muslims “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people.”

After pointing out that the Koran was written long before America even existed, West cited chapter and Surah from the Qu'ran and then proceeding to list a whole catalog of Muslims acts carrying out exactly what it says in Suras 2-9...where it does indeed tell believers to kill and enslave infidels.

West then mentioned Fort Hood and his own battlefield experiences hearing our country's enemies yelling 'Allah Akbar!' and told Hamze not to “try to blow sunshine up my butt.”

When Hamze played th eIslamophobia card, West trumped him by reminding Hamze that he had put his life on the line on the battle field to liberate Muslims.

The crowd's response is also quite entertaining.

You don't mess with Colonel West.
