The Latest Leftist Idiocy - Allen West , 'Anti-Semite' !?!
On the other hand, when it comes to folks on the right of the spectrum, anyone the Left perceives as a political enemy, even the slightest hint of a misdeed makes headlines for weeks. And if there's isn't really anything there, the Left will cheerfully make it up and trumpet it anyway. That's especially true when the target is articulate and seems to be gaining some traction. The examples of this are too numerous even to mention.
I happened to run across this item from the Soros-funded galley slaves over at BuzzFeed..just look at this headline:
"Allen West Out At PJ Media! Sources say he had an anti-Semitic exchange with a staffer, calling her a “Jewish American princess.”
Gasp!!! Horrors!!
Ordinarily I would just laugh, shake my head and move on. The idea of Colonel West being a Jew hater is so hysterically funny that it could almost pass for an Onion headline.
But then, checking my spam file, I find a number of comments from Leftist trolls. like this one:
So it looks as though Allen West got caught calling a woman a 'Jewish American princess'. What a dilemma for Rob! Does his love for the moron West trump his pretend outrage over anti-Semitic slurs? I have my money on West - he himself would probably tell you that Jews have no principles... Ha!
Yes, believe it or not, we have an anonymous Jew haters accusing someone else of being a Jew hater! Talk about projection.I found about five of them in my spam pile, all as comments for different articles and all sounding suspiciously alike.
In the first place, knowing that in fact Colonel West is about as anti-semitic as I am, the idea that this is a 'dilemma' is pretty comical:
He was speaking an event commemorating the first full year of weekly rallies in support of Israel held at Broward Boulevard and Northeast Third Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida...where Colonel West put his body on the line, actually confronting Hamas groupies personally for what he believes in - again.
BTW, the pro-Hamas rally he mentioned featured Arabs and Hamas groupies screaming 'Jews to the gas!' and made news all over the blogosphere.
This hero is who a bunch of Leftist trolls and media sycophants are calling 'anti-semite'.
So according to the Soros slaves at BuzzFeed, what actually went down? When you actually read the turgid nonsense beneath the lurid headlines, what's there's an internal memo BuzzFeed got hold off that states that he wasn't actually fired from PJ Media, but merely changed jobs to something less time consuming in order to focus on getting back into Congress. Which makes a lot of sense, when you consider it.
The stuff about West being 'fired' because of an altercation between West and a staff member whom he may or may not have called a “Jewish American princess” came from an anonymous sources or maybe from a particularly good marijuana spliff the writer was smoking. All the media savvy West said when BuzzFeed called him for a comment is that there was an altercation and that he was in the process of transferring jobs at PJ Media anyway to focus on politics.
I know Aubrey and Joyce Chernik slightly, who are involved in funding PJ Media (both wonderful people, proud Jews and committed pro-Israel Zionists), and I was thinking about e-mailing Joyce to see if there was anything at all to this. Lo and behold, before I got the chance there was an e-mail from Joyce in my inbox letting me know something I already was sure of, that this was absolute BS.
And what if there was an altercation? Things like that happen at companies all the time when people lock horns. So what? And the “Jewish American princess” nonsense? Again, if it even happened, so what? The species exists among Jews, I assure you, just as it does in most ethnic groups.
Al Sharpton can call Jews 'diamond merchants' , consort with known anti-semites and incite a pogrom where Jews are murdered, and no one in the media would refer to him as the anti-semite he is. Obama UN Ambassador Samantha Power could smirk when she called for a cutoff of all ties to Israel, and an invasion by U.S. forces to ethnically cleanse Jews from their homes in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria even though it would 'upset a politically influential domestic constituency.'
No one in the media referred to that as Jew hatred, even, amazingly, some Jews of the J-Street persuasion.
But I guarantee you that Col. Allen West will be slagged with the 'anti-semite' label whenever he runs for office in the future.
This is an excellent example of how the Left and their allies in the media use bogus narratives as propaganda.
As for Colonel West, he's faced far worse than anything these creeps can dish out and come up on top, smiling. It took blatant redistricting, $5 million of George Soros money and serial voter fraud to get him out of Congress last time, and even then he only lost by 1,904-vote, or 0.58 percent, just outside the 0.5 percent threshold to automatically trigger a recount of all votes.
But he learned something. And the next time, he'll be a lot more formidable.

Excellent! Allan West Hired As A FOX News Contributer

Expect fireworks.
It appears that FOX News has finally taken note that many Tea Party types and independent conservatives have started to tune them out a bit..so they got smart and hired the electrifying Lt. Colonel West as a FOX news contributor.
West, a staunch and vocal Republican tea party favorite, will offer political commentary across various daytime and prime-time programs, said Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming for the network.
“Representative West’s congressional and military experience along with his fearless approach to voicing key issues will provide a valuable point of view to the FOX News lineup,” Shine said.
Although I'd much rather see him as Vice President or Secretary of Defense in a new conservative administration, I can't wait to see him go after the Obama Administration from his new platform, or to go head to head with Juan Williams.
The Left spent millions to narrowly defeat him in a newly drawn district and figured they were done with him. They have no way of understanding that men like Lt. Colonel West aren't so easily disposed of.

Old White Multi-Billionaire Targets Uppity Black Man Who Doesn’t Know His Place

Yes. That 'uppity black man' would be war hero Rep. Allen West. And the old white billionaire would be George Soros, via a special super PAC called 'Dump West'. Soros has promised to fund it with $5 million of his ill gotten gains:
Larry Smith, Larry Smith..former Congressman Larry Smith, Florida...processing...oh yeah, this guy!
How typical of Democrats..use a convicted felon, tax cheat and grifter to try to take down a war hero and patriot.
The headline, by the way, is exactly what it would be in the dinosaur media's various outlets if West was a Democrat targeted by say, the Koch brothers.
Of course, this headline could also have read 'Former Nazi Kapo Targets Pro-Israel Congressman'.
Nevertheless, I have a feeling West will prevail. He's been in far tougher situations, fights his enemies couldn't even imagine let alone survive.

On The Treyvon Martin Shooting

This seems to have become the story of the day. I planned on writing in detail about this, but there are two pieces I'll link to later that pretty much capture my views on the matter, so I'm going to limit myself to writing about a particularly disgusting aspect - the way America's premier race pimps and opportunists have swarmed on this like pigs to a troth. And sadly, the president of the United States has joined them , reversing a previously more balanced stance, perhaps because it's a useful distraction in an election year.
The facts of the case are fairly simple. There was a confrontation of some kind between Treyvon Martin, a black teenager and George Zimmerman, a Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteer.
During whatever occurred, Martin was shot and killed by Zimmerman, who had called the police prior to the shooting. Zimmerman claimed that he was in fear of his life and had fired in self defense, which is legal in Florida and a number of other states. Martin was unarmed.
Since the police knew Zimmerman, who had provided them with info on local crime a number of times, they accepted his story after an investigation, which apparently was fairly cursory.
Rather than treating this as the tragedy it is, having it investigated properly and letting the justice system do its work, a number of the usual suspects have smelled a bonanza for themselves and are involved in creating racially based agitation, even to the point of inciting violence.
Al Sharpton, a man responsible for a pogrom in Crown Heights and the murder of several people among his other exploits reveled in heading a rally, where he stopped just short of telling people they had a right to riot over the killing. He'll undoubtedly save that just in case a jury comes up with the 'wrong' verdict for Zimmerman.
Louis Farrakhan openly threatened 'retaliation' and 'no justice, no peace, as did Jesse Jackson, who claimed that blacks are 'under attack' and that killing them is 'big business'.
Significantly, Jackson also targeted the laws in Florida and other states that give people the right to defend themselves when attacked.
Worst of all in some ways was President Obama, who declared that if he had a son,"it would look like Treyvon Martin" and emphasized the racial aspect of the incident. Aside from the asininity of a president of the United States being clueless enough to be commenting on a pending case, there were a number of other problems with what the president had to say about this tragedy.
Would it have been different, as the president implied, if the dead teenager were white, or Hispanic or Asian? Or does the president see this case through a racial prism, as he has with so many other matters?
As far as I'm concerned, those whom are taking advantage of this tragic incident are guilty of a horrid injustice to us all.
Two pieces pretty much reflect my own views on the other aspects of what happened. First, this one from Rep. Allan West:
I have sat back and allowed myself time to assess the current episode revealing itself in Sanford, Florida involving the shooting of 17-year-old Treyvon Martin. First of all, if all that has been reported is accurate, the Sanford Police Chief should be relieved of his duties due to what appears to be a mishandling of this shooting in its early stages. The US Navy SEALS identified Osama Bin Laden within hours, while this young man laid on a morgue slab for three days. The shooter, Mr Zimmerman, should have been held in custody and certainly should not be walking free, still having a concealed weapons carry permit. From my reading, it seems this young man was pursued and there was no probable cause to engage him, certainly not pursue and shoot him…against the direction of the 911 responder. Let’s all be appalled at this instance not because of race, but because a young American man has lost his life, seemingly, for no reason. I have signed a letter supporting a DOJ investigation. I am not heading to Sanford to shout and scream, because we need the responsible entities and agencies to handle this situation from this point without media bias or undue political influences. This is an outrage.
And here's a slice of this one from Ace over at Ace of Spades:
Oh, the Media decided We Have To Have a National Discussion about this story.
1. I appreciate the media dubbing Zimmerman "a white Hispanic." Like the Israelis, he's now an honorary member of the Oppressive White Majority.
2. Certain local stories of race-on-race crime ignite the media's passions. Others do not.
3. Most of the time, stories like the one I just linked are not reported by the media, for various reasons. One is that, alas, black on white crime is so common as to be not newsworthy, whereas the reverse is rare and hence, oddly, makes national news.
Another reason is that such stories are, by their nature, inflammatory (no pun intended, of course).
But the media does not mind inflammatory stories when the right people are inflamed. Farrakhan, for example, states that "soon and very soon" the "law of retaliation" "may be applied."
Now, if that story about the black kids setting the white kid on fire -- while declaring "You're white, this is what you deserve" -- was excessively inflammatory, why the media rush to inflame further black on white violence?
4. The cops acted predictably and understandably in not arresting Zimmerman. Here are the facts, as they knew them at the time: Zimmerman was a law-abiding citizen who gave them lots of (correct) tips about local crime. He was helpful to the police (probably also annoying in being too vigilant -- but while such people may annoy the police, they nevertheless appreciate the help that comes with the annoyance).
He called in to 911 to report a "suspicious" character, then followed him, waiting for police to arrive. Eventually there was some violence (Zimmerman was reportedly bloodied) and he claimed self-defense.
Now, under those circumstances, the police are not going to be very suspicious of Zimmerman. If he was attempting a murder, he went about it in a strange way -- calling police to arrive at the scene of the crime before there was a crime. He had no known motive against this Trayvon Martin fellow -- they'd never met.
Why suspect a deliberate murder?
That doesn't make Zimmerman innocent -- but it does explain why the police thought he was likely innocent of wrongdoing.
5. If the facts are as the media reports them, then it does seem like Zimmerman was following around a kid who wasn't doing anything illegal at all. Then again, if the facts were as the media reported them, the Duke Lacrosse Team was guilty of violent gang-rape.
While the liberal media screams, once again, "Trust us, and forget all about our hitting the Panic Button time and time again before!," some of us would like to see what the facts really are before coming to a conclusion.
6. As a general matter, and inescapably, the law of self-defense is a very thorny thicket. The media would like to simplify the law and simply declare that anyone who shoots anyone else is guilty of murder (because they would like to ban all guns, period, and this is a cutesy manner of achieving that goal through the back-door).
But these laws are inescapably thorny and these cases are inescapably very dependent on actual facts.
At the heart of every self-defense case are a pair of related questions: Did the defendant reasonably believe his safety was in jeopardy when he struck the fatal blow? And, based on the circumstances, did the defendant act lawfully, within the accepted safe-harbors for the use of lethal force in defending one's life (or another's life)?
Facts, not ginned up racial outrage or general anti-gun animus, answer these questions.
Given what we think we know (and remember, the media has lied before): it appears that the kid was unarmed, the guy can't rely on self-defense to save his life.
Further, it appears (again, appears) that Zimmerman initiated the contact/confrontation, not the kid, so the "stand your ground" law is not even relevant in the case.
Ace has more to say on the matter at the link, but I think you get the general drift.

Allen West In Action- Confronted by A Qu'ran Wielding CAIR Executive
Nezar Hamze, CAIR’s Executive Director tried to sandbag retired Lt. Col, Rep. Allen West on the subject of radical Islam at a townhall meeting in Pompano Beach. Big, big mistake.
This Muslim Brotherhood shill confronted Congressman West and asked him to point out where in the Qu'ran it gives orders to Muslims “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people.”
After pointing out that the Koran was written long before America even existed, West cited chapter and Surah from the Qu'ran and then proceeding to list a whole catalog of Muslims acts carrying out exactly what it says in Suras 2-9...where it does indeed tell believers to kill and enslave infidels.
West then mentioned Fort Hood and his own battlefield experiences hearing our country's enemies yelling 'Allah Akbar!' and told Hamze not to “try to blow sunshine up my butt.”
When Hamze played th eIslamophobia card, West trumped him by reminding Hamze that he had put his life on the line on the battle field to liberate Muslims.
The crowd's response is also quite entertaining.
You don't mess with Colonel West.

Col. Allen West Slaps The NYT Around

You have to love how Colonel West handled an interview with Pravda-on-the-Hudson.I bet they're still trying to figure out what hit them:
When the 112th U.S. Congress is officially sworn in on Jan. 5, two black Republicans will be among the new majority in the House of Representatives. Do you think the G.O.P. has made progress in attracting African-Americans to the party?
One thing that you guys aren’t talking about is the fact that there were 42 African-Americans that ran on the Republican ticket in this election cycle; 14 made it to the general election, and 2 of us were elected to the House.
Right, you from Florida and Tim Scott from South Carolina.
I think that there is a changing wind. There are black conservatives out there, and their voices need to be heard.
Like other Tea Party candidates endorsed by Sarah Palin, you came from a nonpolitical background. A longtime Army officer who rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel, you retired in 2004 after being investigated for firing a handgun close to the head of an Iraqi policeman during an interrogation. Is that correct?
Yes, I did that, but let me tell you what happened. I went through what is called a nonjudicial punishment, where I was fined $5,000. I redeployed from Iraq, and I retired with full rank and benefits and an honorable discharge, and that’s the end of it.
Do you consider President Obama a good leader?
Not really.
Do you think those in the military respect him?
I don’t know, you gotta ask guys in the military, but I will tell you this: I think that going in in the middle of the night doesn’t show leadership.
Are you referring to that recent three-hour trip to a base in Afghanistan? He needs to consider his own safety, doesn’t he?
Leaders lead by example, and if I’m asking my young men and women to go out there and puttheir lives on the line, I should be willing and able to do the exact same thing. As I told my soldiers when I was commander in Iraqin 2003, the most expendable person in our battalion was me.
Didn’t George W. Bush go in for a surprise visit to Iraq under similar circumstances? Remember the platter-of-turkey photo op on Thanksgiving Day?
I’m not saying that’s right, either. I’m saying that my understanding of leadership is a little bit different. Leadership is about being a servant first.
Even though you’re a Republican, did you feel a sense of pride when President Obama was elected?
I don’t look to a man to get pride in myself. It’s not about having a black president, it’s about having a good president, and I think that’s the most important thing. This country needs a good leader, and I don’t care if he’s purple or green but yes, there are some people that saw in him a sense of pride.
Michael Steele, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, said last year that blacks don’t have a reason to vote Republican because Republicans haven’t given them one.
I think that there are some objective criteria that you can look at that Chairman Steele needs to try to work through.
What made you become a Republican?
When I retired out of the military, I registered myself as a Republican because my views and perspectives were more in line with that party.
You were raised in Atlanta, in a military family of Democrats, and were the middle of three boys. Are your wife and two daughters Republicans?
After all of the crap that I was put through in this election campaign, I don’t think they’ll be liberals any time soon.
What do you mean by crap?
When you turn on the television and people are accusing you of being a member of a white outlaw motorcycle gang and saying that you run drugs and deal with prostitution, I think that’s a little bit over the top. My opponent was very nasty.
You haven’t started your new job. But you probably feel ready to retire.
No. I have not yet begun to fight, as John Paul Jones said.
