Syria sends arms to Hezbollah and the Palestinians

The UN has requested that Lebanon explain arms trucks crossing from Syria for delivery to Hezbollah.

The tipoff came from Anti-Syrian Druze leader Walid Jumblatt.

The Lebanese army reportedly army intercepted truckloads of arms and missiles, but allowed delivery to Hezbollah and Palestinian militias being trained in Hezbollah's stronghold in the Bek'aa Valley in southern Lebanon.

The UN is involved, thanks to US ambassador to the UN John Bolton who said any continued supply of weapons from Syria to armed groups inside Lebanon is a violation of UN Security Resolution 1559. Tuesday, UN officials demanded an explanation from the Lebanese government.

"Lebanon should not remain an open battlefield against Israel and this state-within-state status should end," Jumblatt said

Are they (the UN) going to act?
I don't think so.
