I love it when they bend over before all the votes are counted and screw over the people down ticket.
Well, McCain lost with `honor', just like he always wanted to, I suppose.

I think you may be right. The lackluster effort of the McCain campaign leads me to think that perhaps McCain really did not want to win. That's the real tradgedy of this whole thing.
It seems that the final results will be somewhere around 53% to 47%Obama over McCain. As badly as the Republicans performed over the past few years, it should have been 75%-25% Obama. Had McCain ran any kind of a campaign he may have been able to pull this out. The fact that team McCain ran such a lackluster capaign may well be the greatest tradgedy of this election season.
The fact that team Obama is only going to win by at most 55%-45% or so it seems when they should have won by at least 65%-35% or even 70%-30% should tell team Obama somehting. It should tell them that much of the electorate is uncomfortable with his policy stances. As he attempts to govern, he and his team should keep this in mind. Are they humble enough to do? Time will tell.
In any event, Obama will be constrained by an 11 trillion dollar deficit and I assume he will wnat to be reelected. In theory, this shold serve to put a check on some of his baser socialist impulses. I hope and pray so at least.

Obama doesn't care about the deficit. He and the other left-wing illuminati want to add to it, asap.
