Sarah Palin's Victory Dance - Too Cool Not To Share

Sarah Palin, in fine form at a massive Trump rally in San Diego, 5/27/16. My apologies for a couple of skips in the live feed.

Great to see that Todd Palin appears to be on the mend from his accident...and Trig and Piper are growing up fast!

(Just for the record, I make a practice of deleting the usual hate comments directed toward the Palins, so save yourself the effort of writing them.)

Video: When Vladimir Putin Called Sarah Palin

Jimmy Fallon's ratings on the Tonight Show haven't been all that great so far, so his booker decided to bring in a guaranteed ratings machine..Governor Sarah Palin.

Now, being in demand as she always is, the Governor obviously made in clear she wasn't interested in being interviewed, but she was willing to do this comedy skit, in exchange for a plug for her upcoming TV show, "Amazing America" , which premiered last night on the Sportsman's Channel.

The skit's merely fair - the funniest bit has a cameo by the actor playing Barack Obama - but what struck me most was the response Sarah Palin got in solid Blue New York City.

Fallon didn't tell the audience she was going to be in the skit in his intro, and the scream of delight from the audience that greeted her when she came on camera has to be heard to be believed.

Another high point at the end is when Putin says to Sarah Palin that he's thinking about invading Alaska and she tells him why that would be a really bad idea. Again, the audience response is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. And again this is in New York City.

The American spirit isn't dead yet..just starved for leadership.

MSNBC'S Martin Bashir 'Resigns'

File:5.5.07MartinBashirByLuigiNovi.jpg

MSNBC's Pakistani/Brit import Martin Bashir announced his 'resignation' today:

Upon further reflection, and after meeting with the President of MSNBC, I have tendered my resignation. It is my sincere hope that all of my colleagues, at this special network, will be allowed to focus on the issues that matter without the distraction of myself or my ill-judged comments.

I deeply regret what was said, will endeavor to work hard at making constructive contributions in the future and will always have a deep appreciation for our viewers – who are the smartest, most compassionate and discerning of all television audiences. I would also wish to express deepest gratitude to my immediate colleagues, and our contributors, all of whom have given so much of themselves to our broadcast.’

What was said, of course, was a vicious on air rant about Governor Sarah Palin, who in a speech to a crowd at Iowa’s Faith and Freedom Coalition event compared the mushrooming national debt to slavery, saying, "..it’s going to be like slavery when that note is due.”

Bashir's foaming at the mouth response? He referred to her as America’s “resident dunce” and characterizing her remarks as “scraping the barrel of her long-deceased mind, and using her all-time favorite analogy in an attempt to sound intelligent about the national debt.”

And finished up by suggesting that someone should defecate in her mouth and urinate in her face.

Now, after this went viral, Bashir did do a fairly self-serving on-air apology, but he was never suspended, fairly egregious in view of how Alec Baldwin at MSNBC was tossed off the network immediately for a few anti-gay slurs.

The difference of course is simple, really. Baldwin was off the reservation and his remarks were merely an unscripted reflection of his out of control temper.Martin Bashir's stunt was entirely different.

In the entertainment biz, (and let's face it, that's the business MSNBC is in) market share and ratings are all that count. The suits at MSNBC took a look at Piers Morgan over at CNN, who used to be unknown and is unemployable in the UK since he was caught fabricating news stories, but who has carved out a career in a small way by being an obnoxious and nasty Lefty with a British accent.

I guarantee you that Bashir doesn't even sneeze on the air unless it's written into his TelePrompTer. So the Palin rant was cleared and vetted by MSNBC's management beforehand. Because, you see, the idea was for Bashir to become MSNBC's Piers Morgan, by being even nastier than Piers Morgan. And thereby garnering some ratings for their putrid little network.

And of course, Martin Bashir, whose last claim to fame was putting together an awful documentary about Michael Jackson a decade ago that most of Jackson's closest associates claim drove Jackson to depression was eager to play along.

That's precisely why they didn't suspend him or fire him.

Unfortunately for them, Sarah Palin has been around and understands this game a lot better than the boys at MSNBC.She didn't waste her time with unloading on Bashir, realizing he was just one of the willing lackeys. Instead, she got in touch with NBC, and canceled a series of interviews she had scheduled, explaining she no longer felt comfortable appearing on their network.

Now, Sarah Palin means ratings and that means money, something Steve Burke and the suits at NBC understand. So then they called Phil Griffin, the keeper in charge of the MSNBC asylum and lo and behold, all of a sudden Bashir comes out with that sniveling little apology. And when the stink still didn't dissipate, Bashir was called into Griffin's office for a little chat.

Naturally, MSNBC covered for their own part in this sordid drama:

“Martin Bashir resigned today, effective immediately. I understand his decision and I thank him for three great years with msnbc. Martin is a good man and respected colleague – we wish him only the best.”

A good 'man'? They must have a very different definition than I do.

Being a Leftist tool means never having to say you're sorry, no matter what, so Bashir might just surface somewhere. If all else fails, he's reportedly fluent in Urdu, so I'm sure he can get a gig in Pakistan, where their notion of how to treat uppity women might be a a bit more in line with what he expressed on the air.

Good riddance.

Whoa! Sarah Palin Chops Matt Lauer Up For Moose Chili!

Always a joy to see the Arctic Fox in action. Here she spikes Matt Lauer's 'ooh the president apologized' drivel and his attempt to make up his own facts on ObamaCare attempt right down his throat. 50,000,000 plus in cancelled policies doesn't equal 5% of America's population, now does it?

Keep in mind that this was supposed to be an interview on her new book, not an ambush..and it's hysterically funny how she turns the tables on him.

Sarah Palin Unloads On The GOP Over Amnesty Bill

1001014_10151696618443588_230169468_n

She must be feeling particularly betrayed, since a number of the senators that voted for this atrocity like Marco Rubio and Kelly Ayotte only got there because of her and the Tea Party activist's help.

Here's her full Facebook post:

Please take a look at the article linked below to understand how the amnesty bill the Senate passed yesterday is a sad betrayal of working class Americans of every ethnicity who will see their wages lowered and their upward mobility lowered too. And yet we still do not have a secured border. This Senate-approved amnesty bill rewards lawbreakers and won’t solve any problems – as the CBO report notes that millions of more illegal immigrants will continue to flood the U.S. in coming years.

Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.

Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.

Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

- Sarah Palin

As usual, she's 100% correct.

The entire GOP Renaissance in 2010 only happened because of Sarah Palin and then-Senator Jim DeMint, and the GOP establishment fought them every step of the way.

The reward for both of them was essentially to be ridiculed and driven from the GOP.

Notice this part: Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American.

I think Governor Palin and those that think like her are fed up to the point they have an entirely new, independent movement in mind. I think it's been brewing for some time, and that it's probably far too late to stop it even if the House rejects the Amnesty bill.

Which, of course is exactly how the Republican Party was born in the first place, over disgust with the Whigs on slavery and a number of myriad other issues.

The GOP establishment hates conservatives, hates the Tea Party, hates people like Ted Cruz,Jeff Sessions, Mike Lee, Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint. They want them out of the Republican Party.

I think they're going to get their wish. But I doubt they're going to like the results.

Sarah Palin On Obama's Proposed Military Intervention In Syria: "Let Allah Sort It Out"

As usual, Sarah Palin once again  comes  out  with something all too rare these days - simple common sense:

Former GOP vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor Sarah Palin told a Washington audience Saturday that the U.S. should not get involved in the Syrian civil war.

Palin argued that the U.S. should not intervene in any Middle East conflict as long as President Obama remains in office.

“Until we have a commander in chief who knows what he is doing....let Allah sort it out!” she told the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Two sledge hammer blows in just one short statement..just like that.

In her speech, Governor Palin also had this to say:

Palin also used her speech to blast the “good ole boys” in Congress and she advised them to follow the lead of freshman Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a Tea Party darling.

The former governor and Fox News contributor said the U.S. is “becoming a totalitarian surveillance state” and that she is listening more and more to libertarians in the Republican Party.

The scandals surrounding the Justice Department surveillance of reporters, National Security Agency collection of Internet data and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) harassment of conservatives show that Washington is just a “hot mess,” Palin proclaimed.

I'm sure most of you know that Roger Ailes has signed a new contract with Governor Palin to do prime time commentary on FOX. Colonel Allen West is going to be working at FOX as well, and I'm sure the two of them will have a lot to talk about both on and off the air.

We're in for some interesting times.

Sarah Palin AT CPAC "We're Not Here To Rebrand A Party, We're Here To Rebuild A Country"

An absolutely wonderful speech from Governor Palin. And it looks like Governor Palin has been working out and getting in shape for something big.

Bonus...Senator Ted Cruz's superb intro.

Hard to believe that the GOP was too frightened and wussied up to give the Governor a speaking slot at last year's national convention. She is far and away the best speaker and most articulate politician in either party.

Listen to this and tell me again that she couldn't eat Barack Obama's lunch in a head to head.

Soon come...soon come.

Sarah Palin's Latest Move

I note with interest the reaction from the usual sources  at the news that Governor Sarah Palin has declined to renew her contract with FOX.

The Left,of course, is claiming she was dumped, which is amusing since FOX themselves had no problem saying that they had offered Governor Palin a renewal of her contract. If you doubt she still means ratings, schedule an event for Sarah Palin to speak in the American heartland with 2 or 3 days notice and watch how the crowds show up.

So why would Governor Palin fail to renew a $1 million per year contract? In one word undoubtedly dear to Governor Palin's heart, freedom.

After three years at FOX, bestselling books and a lucrative career as a lecturer, she no longer needs to worry about money. Instead, as a source close to Palin told RealClearPolitics' Scott Conroy, “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

Translation? First, she can now freelance on any network or station she wants. There will be no more need to get permission from FOX is she wants to appear before, say Mark Levin or Rush Limbaugh's huge audience, or one of the alphabet networks for that matter.

And even more to the point, if she decides to run for office again, the way's clear. Democrat Mark Begich's senate seat in Alaska comes up for reelection in the 2014 midterms and that may be what she's looking at for starters, with perhaps even an eye on 2016. Or we might even see her make a concerted effort to do what she could have done in 2010 but chose not to do out of loyalty to the Republican party..carry the GOP's conservative base with her and create an entirely new, populist party.

The one thing we can be sure of is that whatever she does will be dynamic, original and surprisingly successful, just as her 2010 revival of the Republican Party was.

We can also be sure that her detractors will continue to vilify her and underestimate her.

Governor Palin herself gives a few hints in an interview with Stephan Bannon, who raised his own funding to direct 'The Undefeated', a documentary about Governor Palin;s substantial accomplishments in office as Alaska's governor ( emphasis mine):

 What's next for you?

Short term: I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism. That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation. We can't just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience.

Focus on the 2014 election is also imperative. It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC. DC is out of touch, obviously. Voices on the right like Mark Levin, Rush, and the writers here at Breitbart have come out strongly against the “go along to get along” politicians who wave the white flag before the battle even begins. We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side. And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant.

As far as long-term plans, the door is wide open. I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I’m willing to do that. So, we shall see. And always in the center of it all I have an awesome, full, exciting, and large family living in a very unique part of America that keeps me hopping! I love it!

Where do you think the country stands at the beginning of the President's 2nd term?

Before the November election I wrote that we all know what Obama’s second term will look like because we’ve seen his first. I said: “We know what we will get from a second Obama term. We will get the same failed policies. We will get Obamacare locked into law. We will get a debt crisis. We will get more inflation and higher gas prices. We will get tax increases. We will get fewer jobs. We will get more small businesses collapsing under the weight of higher taxes and unfair regulation. We will get more corruption and crony capitalism favoring the Obama administration’s friends. We will get less domestic energy development and increased dependence on terrorist sponsoring foreign regimes for our energy needs. We will get a 'blame America first' foreign policy that bows to our enemies and snubs our friends like Israel and leaves America and the world less safe. We will get less opportunity and security for ourselves and for our children.”

Predicting the future has never been easier because here we are! Already we see higher taxes, a stagnant economy, the same inflationary monetary policies, Obamacare looming like a dark cloud over small businesses, yet another demand for “debt ceiling” increases, continued stonewalling about the tragic Benghazi attacks, a Secretary of Defense nominee who has a history of being antagonistic to our ally Israel, and the attack on our Second Amendment rights by an administration that has no respect for the Constitution or the separation of powers.

The problem is that some on the Right are now skittish because of the lost 2012 election. They shouldn’t be. Conservatism didn’t lose. A moderate Republican candidate lost after he was perceived to alienate working class Reagan Democrat and Independent voters who didn’t turn out for him as much as they did for the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008. Granted, those same voters also didn’t turn out for Obama as strongly either. We had an election defined by a biased media plus millions of voters who sat it out in disgust. As long as we allow the media and GOP establishment to tell us who our nominees must be, we can expect to lose. I’m not interested in losing. America’s next generation can’t afford another loss.

The MSM have declared both you and the Tea Party dead and buried. Reaction?

I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season. When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight! But we delight in those who underestimate us.

We definitely haven't heard the last of Sarah Palin. Just watch.

Palin Warns: Obama Camp Will Not Go Down Without Swinging; Will Pull Something

Wise words from Governor Palin, being interviewed by Sean Hannity after tonight's debate:

"Now we have to be aware in the next couple debates also if Mitt Romney continues to gain and gain and gain just by being truthful and experienced and intelligent, that doing a good job as a presidential candidate, these guys in the Obama camp, they're not going go down without swinging. They're going pull something," former Governor Sarah Palin warned after tonight's debate.

"And the American public, with the media's help, these lapdogs in the media, kind of going along with what Obama and his people want to do to shake some things up if Mitt Romney continues to do so well. The American public just needs to be aware that they've got to do their own home work, don't rely on the shelter of the media, and just be aware something could be pulled here to turn things around if Mitt Romney continues to gain so much ground."

I personally put the odds on something crooked, sleazy or downright fraudulent coming out of the Obama camp if he's down in the polls in late October and looks like he's losing at no less than 50%..and I'm being conservative here.

Sarah Palin Strikes Again As Deb Fischer Wins Nebraska Senate Primary

For those of you who thought ( or hoped) that Sarah Palin was history, well, like I told you, you have another think coming.

Last night, Palin endorsee Deb Fischer won an upset victory in the GOP senate primary in Nebraska. Since long time Democrat incumbent Ben Nelson is retiring, Fischer is the likely winner of the general election in the deep Red Cornhusker State.

“As recently as a week ago, Deb Fischer was dismissed by the establishment. Why? Because she is not part of the good old boys’ permanent political class,” Palin said in a Facebook post early Wednesday. “The message from the people of Nebraska is simple and powerful: America is looking for real change in Washington, and commonsense conservatives like Deb Fischer represent that change.”

Deb Fischer, a state senator and a mom who works part-time on her family farm seems made to order as one of Palin's Mama Grizzlies.

Just watch as the Arctic Fox and her PAC do exactly what they did in 2010 - hunt down the opposition and get Tea Party friendly conservatives into Congress.

Just as a point of reference, in 2010 Governor Palin's batting average for getting her picks into Congress was .784.

You go, Sarah!

Who Is The Real Sarah Palin?

Whitney Pitcher has a great article over at Breitbart that deals with a subject not often looked at these days..Sarah Palin's actual record, policies and conduct as Alaska's governor.

He uses statistics to show exactly how she balanced Alaska's budget, cut wasteful spending, implemented policies that created jobs, reformed Alaska's pension system to make it fiscally sound and boosted benefits for education and for seniors while cutting wasteful spending and actually raising the state's credit rating.

It's an excellent read, and those of you who aren't familiar with what Governor Palin accomplished in Alaska have a treat in store.

As for the Palin haters...enjoy yourselves while you can. I guarantee you Governor Palin isn't going anywhere, and will continue to remain your worst nightmare. Remember you heard it here first.

Sarah Palin: 'Let's Talk About The Real issues, Mr. President'

Governor Sarah Palin takes down President Obama and his faux 'war against women' nonsense but good in this Facebook entry.

I love the part where she challenges him to a debate...this president would be far too petrified with fear to ever enter that arena, believe me. Remember what she did to Joe Biden? And that was back when she had a lot less media savvy and experience.

The far Left continues to believe American voters are not smart enough to grasp the diversionary tactics it employs to distract us from the issues our President just doesn’t want to talk about – issues that affect us all every day and must be addressed.

Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you don’t need a title to make a difference?)

Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurtling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a “death panel”), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour that’s made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA, an attack on the Constitutional protection of religious liberty, an attack on private industry in right-to-work states, crony capitalism run amok in an administration in bed with their favored cronies to the detriment of genuine free market capitalism, green energy pay-to-play kickbacks to Obama campaign donors, and a Justice Department still stonewalling on a bungled operation that armed violent Mexican drug lords and led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.

I’m sure I missed a few things, but the list is just for starters. Along with millions of others, I’m willing and free to discuss these issues with the President anywhere, anytime; and I’m sure any of the four patriots currently running for the GOP nomination would also welcome the opportunity to talk about the problems everyday Americans face due to the abject failure of our current administration’s policies. The President will dismiss all of these problems by saying, “Well, uh, ‘change isn’t easy.’” But considering that candidate Obama promised to turn back the waters and heal the planet, the American people had at least a reasonable expectation that, at the bare minimum, he wouldn’t bankrupt our country.

This latest ad is quite odd, but also quite telling. It shows that our President sure seems fearful of discussing the economy, energy prices, and all the other problems people need addressed. And intended or not, now that his ad opens up the discussion of Barack Obama’s radical past associations and the radical philosophy that shaped his ideas about his promised “fundamental transformation” of our country, I welcome the media to join ordinary Americans in finally vetting Barack Obama. The media failed to do so in 2008 to the detriment of us all. Maybe this time around they can do their job.

They might start by noting the President’s heavily edited attack ad. Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro helps them out in this piece. Please read it all.

Sarah Palin: 'I'm game' to run for office; All bets are off' in a brokered convention

A Song Of Corruption In Washington - How Crony Capitalism Really Works

Here's an interview by Glenn Beck with my friend Peter Schweizer on his hot new book, Throw Them All Out, a brilliant expose of how the Obama Administration raped the American Treasury out of billions to reward Obama campaign donors and bundlers via 'green energy' scams. Like Solyndra, and Robert Kennedy Jr.'s Brightsource

The book also details how corrupt congress members use their knowledge of pending legislation to do insider stock trading that would be illegal for private individuals, and use their influential positions on various committees to milk campaign contributions and get access to the inside track on Initial Public offerings ( IPO's ) of hot stocks worth millions not accessable to the general public or even many stockbrokers.

Ex-Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a good case in point. Others include Senator Diane Feinstein ( D-CA), our old pal Senator John Kerry ( D-MA), and of course Rep. Charlie Rangel.

Nor is it just Democrats, although they're by far the most prominent, especially since President Obama took over. At Schweizer relates above, an influential GOP Congressman who was ranking member of a key committee during the 2008 financial crisis was actually using sensitive information to short specific stocks - in essence, he had a financial interest in the US economy declining.

This sort of obscene plundering of the taxpayers is business as usual in Washington, and those whom realize it sometimes form an interesting political juxtaposition...like former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Left leaning WAPO columnist Dana Milbank, both of whom have items up on the subject you should take the time to read.

If the OWS crowd had the brains G-d gave a goat, they wouldn't be occupying Wall Street - they'd be occupying Congress, and stalking President Obama at his fundraisers.

Sarah Palin: 'Fire Eric Holder'

The Arctic Fox still hasn't lost her touch. And you have to love the sting at the end:

It’s tempting to get distracted with the horse race aspect of electoral politics during a primary season. But as pundits talk about “who’s up and who’s down” in the 24 hour news cycle, we must keep our eye on the ball with the Obama administration. They rely on distraction to skirt responsibility, but we’re going to hold them accountable for their corruption and incompetence.

When the stories about Operation Fast and Furious first broke, it sounded too crazy even for this administration.

Why would any government official with an ounce of common sense think it’s a good idea to facilitate the smuggling of thousands of guns into the hands of violent Mexican drug cartels? That’s what Operation Fast and Furious did.

You might think Eric Holder’s Department of Justice was setting up a sting operation in which our federal agents would swoop down and arrest the bad guys the minute the guns traded hands. But that’s not what happened. Eric Holder’s DOJ had American gun dealers sell weapons to “straw purchasers” tied to drug cartels without actually following the movement of the guns as they were then sold to Mexican drug lords. They apparently thought this so-called “gun-walking” operation would help them chart the path of gun smuggling, but they didn’t have a plan to actually control the weapons’ movements as the guns were allowed to “walk” into Mexico. All Holder’s DOJ did was arm violent criminals. What manner of fools do we have working in this administration? What’s next? Supplying nuclear weapons components to the Iranians so we can track their activities?

Fast and Furious isn’t just your typical government incompetence. This is a deadly tragedy. U.S. border agent Brian Terry was gunned down with weapons connected to Holder’s debacle. At least 200 Mexican citizens were also killed by criminals using Fast and Furious weapons. We can only imagine how many more people will be murdered by criminals our government armed.

When an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives blew the whistle on this operation, the DOJ leaked sensitive information about him to the press. This week, the former U.S. Attorney for Arizona, who was ousted in the wake of the scandal, admitted to being the leaker.

And where is President Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder in all of this? When did he first know about the operation? In his testimony to the House Oversight Committee on May 3, 2011, Holder stated, “I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” But the DOJ’s own documents prove that Holder had been receiving briefings on Fast and Furious for nearly a year before that date. In other words, our government’s top law enforcement official, Eric Holder, lied to the American public. He finally admitted this week to the Senate Judiciary Committee, “In my testimony before the House committee [on May 3], I did say a few weeks. I probably could have said a couple of months. What I said about a few weeks was inaccurate based on what happened.”

When the nation’s highest law enforcement official lies to the American people, he must go.

And if he claims that he didn’t lie, then how else do we explain this situation? He’s either lying or he’s so grossly incompetent and lazy that he didn’t read important life and death briefings from his deputy attorney general and didn’t know about this deadly operation run by people under him. So, which is it? Incompetent, lazy, or lying? No matter which explanation fits, he needs to go.

Holder conceded this week, “I have ultimate responsibility for what happens in the department.” He can prove it by resigning. And if he refuses to resign, then President Obama – with whom the bucks ultimately stop – can prove that he respects honesty, transparency, and accountability in his administration by firing Holder.

I stand with the members of Congress who are calling for Holder’s resignation. I stand with the family members of Brian Terry who are demanding transparency and accountability. Mr. President, where do you stand?

- Sarah Palin

P.S. It can be argued that some elements of this scandal give the appearance of perhaps being intended to be used to infringe on our Second Amendment rights. I invite our President to correct concerned Americans if they’re wrong on this.

Heh heh! You go, Sarah!

A Message For The Palin Haters

I note that the Palin Haters on the Left are out in force today, celebrating what they consider to be their victory.

Andrew Sullivan, of course is as excited about this as a pedophile let loose in an elementary school and was predictably vile. Now that his obsession with Governor Palin's vagina is no longer a target, he'll be limited to writing about his homosexuality and occasional flacking for Obama, in that order.

Being creatures of the Left, the giddy celebrants are too stupid to see the implications of someone with integrity and something to offer who was not part of the political Ruling Class be forced to choose between running for office and having she and her family targeted for demonization and even physical attack. There were plenty of violent threats and fantasies concerning Governor Palin and her children that were put out there quite openly for the world to see, and a substantial risk that someone might have tried to act on them. I can testify personally to deleting comments on this site to that effect. A detailed map to her isolated family home in Wasilla was even published in stalker Joe McGinniss's latest anti-Palin screed to assist all the deranged wanna-be Jared Loughners of the world in getting to a mother with small kids at home.

She was, in essence the ultimate Uppity Woman Who Didn't Know Her Place and strayed off the Leftist plantation, and that just couldn't be allowed, so she had to be destroyed. After weighing all the factors, she simply chose a different way and as disappointed as I am, I understand why she did.

Another thing I'm certain of is that when Governor Palin said that she's planning to throw her considerable energy and skills into unseating President Obama and putting more real conservatives into Congress, she meant exactly that, and not being shackled by a campaign is going to free her up in ways that are going to be the Left's worst nightmare. If her batting average of .785 in 2010 is any indication, they might have been a lot better off with her running for office. And at 47, she has plenty of time if she wants to take another stab at the top job in the future.

For those that are enjoying a good laugh at Governor Palin now, an old Irish saying:

"Ligean dó gáire a Bhuaigh" ( "Let him laugh who wins")

Palin's Announces She's Not Running In 2012

Governor Sarah Palin finally ended the speculation and announced that she will not be running for president in 2012.

Here's her statement on the matter:

October 5, 2011
Wasilla, Alaska

After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!

God bless America.

For interested parties, you can listen to an interview with Governor Palin on Mark Levin's show here. In it, just as a point of information, she makes clear she has no plans whatsoever to run as a third party candidate. She realizes that a conservative third party candidate who siphons votes would just lead to Barack Obama's re-election.

It's obvious from what Governor Palin had to say that in the end, there were two primary considerations for her. First and foremost, she wasn't willing to put her family through the same filth at the hands of the Left and the media they went through last time. Second, without a campaign, she is definitely a lot more free to devote her considerable energies to getting more actual conservatives elected to office. Those who mock her ought to take a look at the 2010 midterms and look at her batting average, which was in the high 700's.

I respect her decision and her desire not to make her family a target, but I'm severely disapointed. Not just for me personally, but for the country.

Governor Palin was the only candidate in 2008 who was not from the Ruling Class, the only one who wasn't a millionaire and the one with the most executive experience on either ticket. She was someone with the instincts and courage to do what needed to be done in DC Land, and it's a disturbing commentary of how dire politics and media in America has become that she felt it was better not to seek office in order to avoid another obscene assault on her family.

Governor Palin is far from the only public figure who has had to make that decision and left the country a lot poorer for it.

On the positive side, now that the decision is made she's free to rally the troops and cause a whole lot of trouble for the established order. She's not going to disappear, and her story is far from over. In the end, the Left might just end up wishing she'd run after all.

Sarah Palin On Crony Capitalism

Plain speaking from Governor Sarah Palin on the unholy alliance between well-connected businessmen, campaign contributions and corrupt politicians..on both sides of the aisle.

This is an issue Governor Palin is uniquely qualified to talk about, since she's been on the front lines of this issue for a long time, first as a member of the energy board in her home state and later in the governor's chair in Juneau. In both places, she took on the established and corrupt Old Boy network intent of doing business as usual on the taxpayer's dime and won.

In my recent speech in Iowa, some eyebrows were raised when I took on our government’s enormous economic problems caused by crony capitalism. As if on cue, just days later President Obama selected someone who exemplifies a major crony capitalism problem to sit next to the First Lady when he delivered his “jobs plan” speech before Congress. He selected General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt as his honored guest.

Having grown up with great respect for GE thanks to stories my grandfather shared with us about his days working for the company and even meeting GE spokesman-at-the-time Ronald Reagan during a company event, I am saddened at GE’s leadership evolution. This corporation is now the poster child of corporate welfare and crony capitalism.

This icon of American industry is a company full of good employees who make some good products (and is the parent company of a huge media outlet), but GE is also a large American corporation that pays virtually no corporate income taxes despite earning worldwide profits of $14.2 billion last year, $5.1 billion of it in the United States. In fact, they claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion, meaning they received more of our hard earned tax dollars than they contributed. How is that possible? It’s because not only do they shelter their money from taxes, but they also get many tax credits, loans, government grants, and other benefits from the federal government that our smaller businesses couldn’t even imagine being able to profit from.

Joining GE in the pantheon of crony capitalism is another Obama favorite that has been in the news of late: Solyndra. The President hailed this “green energy” company in a speech last May as “the true engine of economic growth.” When he announced the $535 million guarantee to Solyndra, Vice President Biden said that investments like this are “exactly what the Recovery Act is all about.” (Dear God…If the failed Solyndra venture has been what it’s “all about,” then that explains a lot.) As I pointed out in my speech at the Reagan Ranch Center last February: “History has proven again and again, when government picks the winners and losers, we’re stuck with the losers, and we the taxpayers subsidize failure!” And that’s what we’re seeing now, as the FBI raids the solar energy company’s headquarters to glean more information after the company was handed half a billion dollars in “green energy” Stimulus funds from the American taxpayer only to later declare bankruptcy. More than one thousand Solyndra workers lost their jobs. Now as the truth comes out, we discover that the White House was heavily involved in the Department of Energy’s rushed decision to give the Stimulus funds to Solyndra, and they tried to move the money through so quickly they seem to have ignored concerns that the company was not viable. Why would they do this? Perhaps it’s because a large investor in the company (about 35%) is Obama campaign bundler George Kaiser. And with the way the deal is structured, Kaiser will get his debts paid before we the taxpayers see any relief. That is sickening. And that’s how it works: workers lose their jobs, wealthy political cronies stand a good chance of getting their money back, and the U.S. taxpayer gets the shaft. Again.

President Obama has his sights set on raising $1 billion for his reelection campaign. Raising that money won’t be easy. But if you can hand out other people’s money to friends, it must get a whole lot easier. This crony capitalism and government waste is at the heart of our economic problems. It will destroy us if we don’t root it out. It’s not just a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It’s a problem of our permanent political class. This won’t stop until “we the people” say enough is enough, and we retire the permanent political class that votes for this.
