Sikh Temple Killings - Multiple Shooters?

The conventional wisdom on the Oak Creek,Wisconsin murders in the Sikh Temple has pretty much boiled down to the perpetrator being one psychotic Army wash out with far right connections.

That doesn't explain a few things that continue to puzzle me about this.

As I reported, in the very beginning, this was originally reported as a hostage situation rather than a gunman run amuck.

And then there's this..eyewitnesses inside the Temple who continue to claim there were 4 shooters, not just one:



This is the statement of Amardeep Kaleka, son of the president of the Sikh Temple who 's father was murdered that day:

The most that I know right now is that there were multiple shooters…multiple people. It was a very well coordinated thing. It wasn’t haphazard

A number of other people have stated there was more than one shooter.

Not only that, but after Michael Wade Page was shot and killed outside the temple by one police officer, the SWAT team delayed going in for quite some time. Who did they think was still in the temple? Was it simply an honest mistake based on earlier reports of a hostage situation, or did they know something they're not telling us?

Something that doesn't jibe with the narrative of one psycho gunman?

Gunman In Sikh Temple Shooting Identified

The killer in the Sikh temple shooting in Oak Park, Wisconsin has been identified.

He is a 40-year-old Army veteran named Wade Michael Page:

According to sources in the U.S. Army, Page enlisted in April 1992 and was discharged from the Army in 1998 "under honorable conditions," which is less than honorable discharge. While not as negative as a dishonorable discharge, such a release would preclude one from reenlisting or entering another military service, sources explained to Fox News. Reuters reported that the discharge was for "patterns of misconduct," including being drunk on duty.

Page served at Fort Bliss, Texas, in the psychological operations unit in 1994, and was last stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., attached to the psychological operations unit. He was an E4 psychological operations specialist, but was never deployed. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct award, the National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and Parachutist Badge.

Page was disciplined many times, including having his rank reduced from sergeant to specialist. In other words, an Army washout with a troubled background.

The minions at the very left wing Southern Poverty Law Center are claiming he was a neo-Nazi.Heidi Beirich, director of the center's intelligence project says there was "no question" Page was an ardent follower and believer in the white supremacist movement. She said her center had evidence that he attended "hate events" around the country.

"He was involved in the scene," she said.

Given that this is, after all, The Southern Poverty Law Center, I'll withhold judgment on that until we know more. They've been wrong far more than they've been right, and their definition of what constitutes 'hate events' is, shall we say, flexible according to their leftist agenda.At one point, the SPLC was calling Tea Party rallies 'hate events'.

It's also worth mentioning that no serious neo-Nazi would ever target Sikhs. Hitler regarded them as 'proto-Aryans' according to Mein Kampf,(along with the Persians)and the Nazis borrowed the swastika from them.

Page apparently worked as a truck driver with Granger, Iowa-based Barr-Nunn Transportation, from about April 2006 to August 2010 while living in Fayetteville, N.C.

A source at the company told the newspaper that Page left "involuntarily"" but gave no further details.

He also apparently played in a band for awhile called End Apathy, which appears to be a Punk Metal outfit with some quasi-Nazi leanings. Their MySpace page is here. He apparently moved to the Milwaukee area at the beginning of this year.

He had minor criminal records for damaging property between $20 and $200 in Texas, a class B misdemeanor and writing a bad check in October 1997.

To me, Page seems like someone who drifted in and out of various scenes looking for a place to belong.

UPDATE: Apparently End Apathy's gigs were being promoted on the Neo-Nazi site Stormfront. Again, this still seems rather too obvious cover to me, but like the blind pig finding an acorn once in awhile, the SPLC may actually have their facts straight for once.

Meanwhile the FBI is looking for a second 'person of interest' who might have been involved in the murders.

7 Dead In Wisconsin Shooting At Sikh Temple

There was a horrendous event at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin this morning when a gunman shot down a number of worshipers.

The gunman was later killed by a police officer, who was wounded but is expected to survive.

The officer was wounded but "returned fire, and that shooter was put down," said Bradley Wentlandt, the police chief in nearby Greenfield, who briefed reporters. Investigators who picked through the building afterward found four bodies inside the temple and two other victims outside, plus the gunman, Wentlandt said.

Though early reports had suggested there may have been more than one attacker, he said officers had not identified any other gunmen.

Several things jump out at me here.

The temple members have confirmed that the killer was not a member of the temple, so this was an outside job - someone who targeted the temple, knew when the Sikhs would be present and planned accordingly.

Early headlines reported a hostage situation in progress, and the local SWAT team was called. Interestingly enough, so was the FBI and The Joint Terrorism Task Force, a little known organization which responds to terrorist attacks. There are several of these task forces situated around the country. In the case of a normal lunatic and mass shooting, neither the FBI or the JTTF would be called in.

Another interesting tidbit about this is that the perpetrator, who was shot and killed outside the temple has yet to be identified.

Several articles mention that Sikhs have occasionally been subjected to attacks by the ignorant in the belief they are Muslims, since many of the males wear beards and turbans. You might remember that a Sikh gas station owner was shot and killed by some idiot after 9/11, in Arizona if memory serves me.

The supreme irony of this is that Sikhs and Muslims have an extremely hostile relationship that goes back centuries, since the days of the Muslim jihad against India. The Sikhs fought successfully against the Muslim Mughal empire after the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur was executed by the Muslims after refusing to convert to Islam, and many Sikhs were killed during the violence surrounding the partition of India in 1947. The animosity continues to the present day. And in modern times there have been several incidents of Muslims attacking Sikh Temples in India.

That's one reason I believe President Obama refused to visit The Golden Temple(Harimandir Sahib ) in Amritsar, India, a religious site for Sikhs equivalent to the Western Wall for Jews in Israel or the Church of the Holy Sepulcher for Christians. He was anxious not to do anything that might upset the Muslim world he's been trying to so desperately to appease throughout his term in office.

But that aside, it brings up an interesting possibility.

Was this an instance of an Islamist terror attack against a Sikh temple here in America? Is that why the FBI and the JTTF were involved, and why the killer hasn't been identified yet? The early reports of a hostage situation likewise don't quite jibe with the idea of a lone lunatic with a gun.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, and it may simply be an Aurora copycat. But the details released thus far point to that possibility, and let's say I wouldn't be surprised.

There are reports that the killer was 'a white male in his thirties', but that would not preclude an Islamist connection even if it turns out to be true. The use of what al Qaeda refers to as 'white moors' has happened before as well.

Wisconsin - Romney 47, Obama 44

And that's among likely voters. Given that the only other recent poll showed Obama ahead, I'd call this an outlier...except that it's Rasmussen, and occurred after Scott Walker's victory.

Romney and Obama are probably neck and neck at the least and Wisconsin is definitely in play.

Great Minds Think Alike - Sean Trende Crunches The Numbers On 'Pro-Obama' Wisconsin Exit Polls

You'll remember that I was fairly disdainful yesterday of the media spin on exit polls showing Obama with a seven point lead over Romney in a general election matchup.

In a column today, numbers guy Sean Trende, Senior Elections Analyst for RealClearPolitics and the author of the excellent The Lost Majority: Why the Future of Government Is Up for Grabs - and Who Will Take It crunches the numbers and comes up with the same conclusion.

Wisconsin is definitely in play.

And according to Democrat Governor Ed Rendell, so is Pennsylvania, which he sees as being dependent on moderate voters in the four Philadelphia suburban counties:

I tell people Governor Romney's biggest liability in the primaries was that people really didn't believe he was a conservative. His biggest asset in the general election is people really don't believe he is a conservative. So will those moderate Republicans, conservative Democrats, independents in the Philadelphia suburbs vote for him because he is really a moderate who is going to govern in a moderate fashion? I don't know. {...}

That didn't exactly answer the question. So it was asked again. "So bottom line, is Pennsylvania is in play?"

"Oh, it is definitely in play," Rendell replied. He went on about how bizarre it was to read reports that Republicans weren't making investments in the state. "Can't be right. I mean why would you do that? And why would you make that judgment now?"

"I think it is definitely in play," he said again. "I said from the beginning, Mitt Romney is the only candidate who had a chance to do well enough in the Philadelphia suburbs to carry the state. If I had to bet, I would bet he won't, because the president is going to do very well in the debate."

Considering that the last time President Obama actually debated with anyone it was with Senator John McCain, I'm not sure I'd make that bet myself. I'd say it's more likely dependent on turnout, how well the economy does between now and November and how many 'votes' the Democrats can manufacture in Philly.

Keep in mind that Governor Rendell knows his own state quite well and is mainly concerned with covering his own backside first as opposed to covering Obama's. As such, he needs to walk a line between being a loyal party man and not being too closely aligned with what could end up being a sinking ship.

Ways The Media Is Spinning What Happened Last Night In Wisconsin

The Democrat's lackeys in the media are working overtime to spin last night's historic election. This applies not only to commentary but to supposed 'straight news', and involves not only the promotion of outright myths but some serious omission of what ought to be headline stories. Here are a few examples:

The news media, relying on the usual bogus exit polls, delayed calling the election for Scott Walker far beyond what they normally would have if a Democrat was winning, while other more conservative sites, most notably Drudge, called it correctly early on. Not only did they deliberately delay calling the election for Walker, they heavily minimzed tyhe numbers...even when they were forced to concede that Walker was ahead, they were calling him ahead by 2 or three points, emphasizing 'how close' the election was. In fact, the Washington Post is still calling a 7 point blowout, 'a close win'.

The repetition of the myth that Walker 'outspent the Democrats nine to one.'

A great deal of out-of-state money flowed into Wisconsin, but the flow was undoubtedly greater from the public employee unions and the Democrats. Keep in mind that this is the third attempt to thwart the will of the people of Wisconsin, with prior elections to unseat members of the State Supreme Court and the legislature. The Democrats and unions spent close to $15 million in an attempt to unseat State Supreme Court justices. They well over $3 million in an unsuccessful attempt to unseat just one of the justices, David Prosser and replace him with ultra-progressive JoAnne Kloppenburg. Democrats and their backers spent another $23.4 million, with outside groups spending $18.6 million in a previous effort to unseat four Republican state senators, which also ultimately failed.

In this election, Scott Walker raised something like $34 million. The Democrats and the unions actually admitted spending over $23 million, not only in the elections themselves but in gathering the signatures to force the recall of Governor Walker, Lieutenant Governor and four state senators. Remember also that a lot of the union contributions were in kind or under the table and thus not counted. The same goes for assistance from places like George Soros' Open Society and his media empire. The left and their media allies will of course continue to wave the Citizens United bloody shirt, but it's simply bogus.

Much is being made of supposed 'exit polls' that show President Obama leading Governor Romney in Wisconsin by 11 points. The spin, from Jay Carney on down is that this election 'isn't going to matter in November.'

First off, given how biased these polls were during the actual election, you can only imagine how much they were spun. Remember, President Barack Obama is closely involved with public employee unions and the sort of financial irresponsibility they represent that just got soundly voted down. Are we to believe that Wisconsin's voters are too stupid to make that connection?

Another thing to consider is the effect Barack Obama's non-participation in this election is going to affect Wisconsin's Democrats in November. He concentrated on his own fund raising and refused to campaign in the state or get involved beyond a last minute tweet, and the DNC under Obama's control likewise refused to fund what they correctly considered a losing effort.While they may make the appropriate noises, how hard do you think Wisconsin's Democrats are going to work to get Obama re-elected? The president would have been far better being a bit less selfless and showing up..but that's not how he rolls.

The media is maintaining a studied silence over the numerous death threats that Scott Walker has received since the election results. The same thing was going on during the campaign. If Democrat Tom Barrett was getting the same threats, it would be front page news, but it's deliberately being swept under the rug because of fears it might injure the Cause.

There's a great deal of talk about how Wisconsin only matters locally. Actually, this is the beginning of a tsunami. Here in California - California!- two cities, San Diego and San Jose voted to sharply curb their public employee unions pay,benefits and collective bargaining rights. While it's nowhere near the reforms that were enacted statewide in Wisconsin, for California, it's simply amazing, especially in a deep blue Bay Area city like San Jose.

Look for other municipalities, counties and states to pass similar legislation.And that's going to affect the Democrats nationwide.

For instance, in Wisconsin, membership and dues in public employee unions have plummeted simply because the state decided that they were not going to be in the business of collecting the union's money for them. This gives you a good idea of exactly how much the public employee unions relied on coercion to keep up their end of what amounted to a Ponzi scheme to fund the Democrats at the taxpayer's expense. Just imagine that effect repeated nationwide.

To me, this isn't a matter of 'hating labor'. Private unions, can, as they once did, have a major part to play in bringing manufacturing back to America and providing good paying blue collar jobs and its simple justice that they should be able to negotiate with their employers for the benefit of their members. But the public employee unions are a different matter entirely.The sleazy alliance between radical unions like the SEIU and 'progressive' Democrats element of government coercion that forces taxpayers to support them regardless of their own political beliefs or even basic fiscal sanity has proven to be a recipe for disaster .

WALKER WINS!!!

All the major news networks have just called the Wisconsin recall elections for Scott Walker. The spread could end up being as high as 8 points.

Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch has also won, and GOP state senators Fitzgerald,  Wanggaard, Moulton and Petrowki are comfortably ahead, with Moulton, Fitzgerald, and Petrowski already projected as winning easily.

As that sage of Democrat politics, Joe Biden would say, 'this is a big f**kin' deal.

But expect the Democrats to contest it.

Holder And The Obama DOJ Go Into Action In Wisconsin

Tomorrow, the important recall election directed at Republican Governor Scott Walker is going to be held in Wisconsin, and AG Eric Holder has announced that the Department of Justice is planning to send massive amounts of 'federal observers' to Wisconsin to make sure illegal aliens, felons and Democrat activists trucked into the state to take advantage of Wisconsin's same day voter registration without photo ID requirements are not obstructed in any way uhh, to ensure compliance with the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and other federal voting rights statutes.

As Obama Consigliere David Axelrod bragged to reporters earlier, an "army of lawyers" will be in the Badger state "to protect" the vote during the recall election.

It ain't over 'till it's over, believe me. These scum will do absolutely anything.

New Poll - Wisconsin A Tossup State

A new poll from Marquette University shows President Obama and Governor Mitt Romney tied 46%-46% among likely voters.

President Obama's 4 point lead in April has vanished, and his favorability ratings in Wisconsin have plummeted from 55% to 49%.

Even more indicative of how much the Badger State is in play, Governor Scott Walker has a decisive lead over his Democrat challenger Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, 50-44 percent, among likely voters. This is a five point shift in Walker's favor in the recall election being held next month. Only 3% say they're still undecided. even better, the poll's mechanics show that Barret is only leading in Dane County ( heavily Left Madison) and downtown Milwaukee. He isn't even leading in the Milwaulee metro are or the suburbs.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch has pulled ahead of union kingpin Mahlon Mitchell in her recall election 47% to 41%, with 10 percent undecided. I'm rooting for her to pull this off in view of the obscene way the Left have attempted to Palinize her and her family including attacks on his children at their schools.

As I said before, if Walker wins in June, things don't look at all good for President Obama for Wisconsin come November. Even more so if Kleefisch likewise comes in victorious.

A Romney Sweep? Primaries In Wisconsin, Maryland And DC

The GOP contest for the nomination continues today, with three primaries and 98 delegates up for grabs.

According to most polls, Mitt Romney is expected to win all three handily.

Governor Romney spent most of yesterday traveling the Badger State accompanied by Rep. Paul Ryan,who has endorsed Romney. In his stump speech, Romney continues to ignore Rick Santorum and focus on the main challenge, the upcoming contest with President Barack Obama.

“He takes his political inspiration from the capitals of Europe,” Mr. Romney told supporters in Green Bay. “His version of a perfect world is a big-spending big government.”

Santorum, on the other hand continues to attack Romney and mocking republicans who think the race is over.

Presently, Governor Romney has far more delegates than all of his rivals combined.

In Wisconsin, the focus is not as much onth eGOP Presidential primary as it is on the Democrat's efforts to unseat Governor Scott Walker, with the Democrats and public employee unions spending millions on a recall election scheduled for this June.

Public Employee Unions Lose In Wisconsin

The results of the recall elections against 6 GOP state senators of Wisconsin are in, and they weren't happy for tax and spend 'progressives'.Only two of the GOP senators lost, preserving the Republican majority in the senate.

This was largely seen as a referendum on Governor Scott Walker's efforts to balance Wisconsin's budget and curb its rapacious public employee unions, and the unions and other Democrat special interest groups spent millions on these elections - to no avail.

Governor Walker was seen as a future target for recall if these elections were successful. That likely won't happen now.

if fact, the GOP may even increase its majority. Still to come are recall elections against two Democrat state senators Robert Wirch, D-Pleasant Prairie, and Jim Holperin, D-Conover face their own recall elections next week. The two incumbents are among the group of Democrat legislators nicknamed 'fleebaggers' in Wisconsin for leaving the state and hiding out in neighboring Illinois to avoid voting on Governor Walker's bills on the unions and budgets.

Breaking: Wisconsin Democrat Sen. Herb Kohl Will Not Run For Re-Election

Wisconsin Democrat senator Herb Kohl announced his retirement today at the end of his current term, setting up another open seat election in 2012 in a competitive battle ground state.

Kohl is the sixth Democrat to step down in advance of the 2012 election. There are only two Republican incumbents not running for reelection next year.

Possible Democrat contenders are Reps. Ron Kind, Tammy Baldwin and Steve Kagen as well as higher profile possibilities like former Sen. Russ Feingold who lost to Ron Johnson last November and former Rep. Tom Barrett, who ran and lost to Governor Scott Walker in the same election, which saw Wisconsin essentially changing from Blue to red and going Republican.

The obvious GOP contender would be Rep. Paul Ryan, but he's got a fairly powerful position in the House as Chairman of the House Budget Committee and might not want to swap that for a freshman Senator's seat. Another complication is that Ryan and deposed democrat Senator Russ Feingold are personal and family friends, and Ryan might not want to run if Feingold's in the race.

Other Republicans being mentioned are state Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, local businessman Tim Michels and former Rep. Mark Neumann.

National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesman Brian Walsh issued a statement saying that Kohl’s retirement “immediately presents another key opportunity for Senate Republicans next year.”

Sarah Palin Rides To Sound Of The Guns: "The 2012 Campaign Begins Here..Game On"

Ground Zero for the fight against the Leftist Agenda has to be Madison, Wisconsin.

The bribing of special interest groups like public employee unions with taxpayer dollars in exchange for votes, a hearty kickback to the Democrat's campaign coffers and the use of muscle for phone banks, precinct walking and rent-a-mobs is an old, established sport in Blue cities and states and a major reason why many of them are flat broke.

It's in Wisconsin, a formerly Blue state that the first serious attempt to undermine the Democrats' Tammany Hall model occurred, because the people of Wisconsin realized that they simply couldn't afford to continue along the present course.

It's here that a courageous governor, Scott Walker, turned the tide, along with Republican legislators who faced screaming mobs and death threats.

Governor Sarah Palin turned up to join the fight today in memorable fashion with one heckuva speech. There were 8,000 to 10,000 Tea Party supporters who came to hear her in spite of the cold, the wet, and a hostile, expletive-hurling rent-a-mob armed with bullhorns,signs and noisemakers who lurked on the outskirts of the crowd.

Fifteen minutes was all it took her to get to the heart of the matter and take the fight directly to Obama and to those establishment Republicans who've forgotten why they were elected. In a sense, it's exactly what she did in Alaska on a larger scale. taking on th eGOP establishment in her own state and winning big when no one gave her a chance to.

It was a perfect stump speech, and it convinced me that the time of indecision is over and she's going to make a run for the White House.

Hello, Madison, Wisconsin! You look good. I feel like I’m at home. This is beautiful. Madison, I am proud to get to be with you today. Madison, these are the frontlines in the battle for the future of our country. This is where the line has been drawn in the sand. And I am proud to stand with you today in solidarity.

I am here today as a patriot, as a taxpayer, as a former union member, and as the wife of a union member. What I have to say today I say it to our good patriotic brothers and sisters who are in unions. I say this, too, proudly standing here as the daughter of a family full of school teachers. My parents, my grandparents, aunt, cousins, brother, sister – so many of these good folks are living on teachers’ pensions, having worked or are still working in education.

A pension is a promise that must be kept. Now, your Governor Scott Walker understands this. He understands that states must be solvent in order to keep their promises. And that’s what he’s trying to do. He’s not trying to hurt union members. Hey, folks, he’s trying to save your jobs and your pensions! But unfortunately some of your union bosses don’t understand this, and they don’t care if union members have to be laid off. No, they want to protect their own power, and if that means forcing a governor to lay off union workers, then so be it; they’ve proven that is fine with them. But that’s not real solidarity! Real solidarity means coming together for the common good. This Tea Party movement is real solidarity!

Well, I am in Madison today because this is where real courage and real integrity can be found. Courage is your governor and your legislators standing strong in the face of death threats and thug tactics. Courage is you all standing strong with them! You saw the forces aligned against fiscal reform. You saw the obstruction and the destruction. You saw these violent rent-a-mobs trash your capital and vandalize businesses.

Madison, you held your ground. Your governor did the right thing. And you won. Your beautiful state won. And you know what – people still have their jobs because of it! That’s courage. And that’s integrity. And that’s something that’s sorely missing in the Beltway today.

Because let me tell you what isn’t courageous: It’s politicians promising the American voters that, as we drown in $14.5 trillion debt, that they’re going to cut $100 billion out of this year’s budget. But then they cave on that and they reduce it down to $61 billion after they get elected. Then they get in there and they strike a deal and decide, nah, they will reduce that down to $38 billion. And then after some politics-as-usual and accounting gimmicks, we find out it’s not $38 billion in cuts. You know that $38 billion – we don’t have it; we’re borrowing it. We borrow from foreign countries to give to foreign countries, and that’s insanity. We find out it’s not even $38 billion; it’s less than $1 billion in real cuts. Folks, that $352 million in real cuts – that’s no more than the federal government is going to spend in the time it takes us to hold this rally today! That is not courage; that’s capitulation!

Now, there’s a lesson here for the Beltway politicos, something they need to understand; the lesson comes from here in Madison. So, our lesson is to the GOP establishment first. And yeah, I’ll take on the GOP establishment. What more can they say about us, you know?

So, to the GOP establishment: if you stand on the platform, if you stand by your pledges, we will stand with you. We will fight with you, GOP. We have your back. Together we will win because America will win!

We didn’t elect you just to re-arrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic. We didn’t elect you to just stand back and watch Obama re-distribute those deck chairs. What we need is for you to stand up, GOP, and fight. Maybe I should ask some of the Badger women’s hockey team—those champions—maybe I should ask them if we should be suggesting to GOP leaders they need to learn how to fight like a girl!

And speaking of President Obama, I think we ought to pay tribute to him today at this Tax Day Tea Party because really he’s the inspiration for why we’re here today.

That’s right. The Tea Party Movement wouldn’t exist without Barack Obama.

You see, Candidate Obama didn’t have a record while he was in office; but President Obama certainly has a record, and that’s why we’re here. And hey, media, it’s not inciting violence and it’s not hateful rhetoric to call someone out on their record, so that’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to do it to be clear. That’s right: we’re here, we’re clear, get used to it!

Candidate Obama promised to be fiscally responsible. He promised to cut the deficit; but President Obama tripled it!

Candidate Obama promised that fiscal responsibility; but President Obama flushed a trillion dollars down the drain on a useless “stimulus” package and then he bragged about the jobs he “created” in congressional districts that don’t even exist! That’s right; on this, White House, you lie. The only thing that trillion-dollar travesty stimulated was a debt-crisis and a Tea Party!

Now, the left’s irresponsible and radical policies awakened a sleeping America so that we understood finally what it was that we were about to lose. We were about to lose the blessings of liberty and prosperity. They caused the working men and women of this country to get up off their sofas, to come down from the deer stand, get out of the duck blind, and hit the streets, come to the town halls, and finally to the ballot box. And Tea Party Americans won an electoral victory of historic proportions last November. We the people, we rose up and we decisively rejected the left’s big government agenda. We don’t want it. We can’t afford it. And we are unwilling to pay for it.

But what was the president’s reaction to this mandate for fiscal sanity?

Less than 90 days after the election, in his State of the Union address, President Obama told us, nah, the era of big government is here to stay, and we’re going to pay for it whether we want to or not. Instead of reducing spending, they’re going to “Win The Future” by “investing” more of your hard-earned money in some cockamamie harebrained ideas like more solar shingles, more really fast trains – some things that venture capitalists will tell you are non-starters. We’re flat broke, but he thinks these solar shingles and really fast trains will magically save us. So now he’s shouting “all aboard” his bullet train to bankruptcy. "Win The Future"? W.T.F. is about right.

And when Wisconsin’s own Paul Ryan presented a plan for fiscal reform, what was Obama’s response? He demonized the voices of responsibility with class warfare and with fearmongering. And I say personally to our president: Hey, parent to parent, Barack Obama, for shame for you to suggest that the heart of the commonsense conservative movement would do anything to harm our esteemed elders, to harm our children with Down syndrome, to harm those most in need. No, see, in our book, you prioritize appropriately and those who need the help will get the help. The only way we do that is to be wise and prudent and to budget according to the right priorities.

Now, our president isn’t leading, he’s punting on this debt crisis. The only future Barack Obama is trying to win is his own re-election! He’s willing to mortgage your children’s future to ensure his own. And that is not the audacity of hope. That’s cynicism!

Piling more debt onto our children and grandchildren is not courage. No, that’s cowardice!

But did you notice when he gave that polarizing speech last week there was a little gem in the speech. Maybe you missed it. But he spoke about the social contract and the “social compact.” Well, Mr. President, the most basic tenet in that social compact is adhering to the consent of the governed. That would be “We the People.” President Obama, you do not have our consent. You didn’t have it in November. And you certainly don’t have it now. You willfully ignored the will of the American people.

You ignored it when you rammed through Obamacare.

You ignored it when you drove up the debt to $14.5 trillion.

You ignored it when you misrepresented your deficit spending.

You ignored it when you proposed massive tax increases on the middle class and our job creators.

You ignored is when you went to bat for government-funded abortions and yet you threw our brave men and women in uniform under the bus, Mr. Commander in Chief.

You ignored it when you got us into a third war for fuzzy and inconsistent reasons, a third war that we cannot afford.

You ignore it when you apologize for America while you bow and kowtow to our enemies, and you snub our allies like Israel.

And you ignore when you manipulate the U.S. oil supply. You cut off oil development here and then you hypocritically praise foreign countries for their drilling.

And when hardworking families are hit with $4 and $5 a gallon gas and your skyrocketing energy and food prices as you set out to fundamentally transform America, you ignore our concerns and you tell us we just better get used to it.

Well, Mr. President, we’re not going to get used to it. Not now. Not ever. You ignored us in 2010. But you cannot ignore us in 2012.

Mr. President, you and your cohorts threw all the hatred and all the violence you could at these good folks in Madison, Wisconsin. But you lost here.

And Madison, you defended the 2010 electoral mandate. You are heroes, you are patriots, and when the history of this Tea Party Movement is written, what you accomplished here will not be forgotten.

Your historic stand brought down the curtain on the last election. And the 2012 election begins here.

We will take the courage and the integrity that you showed all of America. We will take it and we will win back our country!

God has shed His grace on thee, America. We will not squander what we have.
We will fight for America! And it starts here in Madison, Wisconsin!

It starts here! It starts now! What better place than the state that hosts the Super Bowl champs, to call out the liberal left and let them know: Mr. President, game on!

Wisconsin Judge Issues Restraining Order To Block Collective Bargaining Bill

You absolutely have to admire the Left for sheer gall.

Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, a Democrat, sued to block the new Wisconsin budget fix law and got a restraining order out of Judge Sumi, likewise a Democrat.She said that while the order blocks the law's publication, she said she has no authority to prevent the Legislature from voting on the controversial bill again.

"I am now issuing a restraining order preventing further implementation of this act," she said.

And you'll love the rationale.

Ozanne sued on the basis of Wisconsin's 'open meeting' law, complaining that the law was violated because the State Senate's Democrats weren't present..and never mind that the reason they weren't present is because they fled in a body to Illinois to block the vote on the bill!

Attorneys for the state Department of Justice asked the judge for a stay of the order, but Sumi denied the request.

The judge said that she wasn't weighing the purpose of law in issuing the order, rather the procedure.

"What I want to make clear is I make no judgments on merit of legislation," she said.

Oh no, of course she wasn't. This is the equivalent of freeing an arsonist out of pity because he burned his own house down.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said the State DOJ intends to appeal the judge's ruling, according to a statement released by his office.

"The Legislature and the governor, not a single Dane County Circuit Court judge, are responsible for the enactment of laws," Van Hollen was quoted as saying.

Van Hollen argued that the state Supreme Court has made it clear that judges can't stop the secretary of state from publishing a law or be stopped when the claim pertains to a rule of legislative procedure.

Judge Sumi's ruling was designed to stop the law from being formally published, because the bill can't take effect until then. And Wisconsin's Democrat secretary of state said he plans to wait the full 10 days allowed to publish it March 25.

Since the judge's decision is considered "not final," DOJ officials are going to have to go to the Appellate Court to appeal the judge's ruling, which they plan on filing on Monday.

Will of the people? Abiding by the results of elections? Why do that when you can go to some Democrat appointed judge and wage lawfare on behalf of your campaign donor base?

Union Protesters Storm Capitol After Vote; GOP Senators,Families Receive Death Threats

Union protesters broke into the State capitol building last night after the GOP Senators voted to reform collective bargaining rights for public employee unions. They were assisted by Democrat staffers who opened windows for them and unlocked doors, and attempted to block the Assembly chamber to prevent a final vote on the legislation. Among other things, the protesters created a major fire hazard by attempting to lock the doors shut from the inside using metal handcuffs.

"We're prepared to do whatever it takes to kill the bill or shut it down," said Daniel Ginsberg of Milwaukee, an organizer with Students for a Democratic Society.

The protesters were finally removed, three hours after state business was supposed to start for the day.

The protesters are demanding that they be allowed to return, and have been banging on doors and windows demanding to be let in.In the statement, the Administration Department said the building would not open until law enforcement completes an "assessment of the building and today's security requirements have been completed."

In another development, credible death threats against the Republican Senators who voted for the budget reform bill and their families have been issued.Here's one that was sent via e-mail:

Governor Scot Walker also went public today in th eWSJ, with a piece entitled, 'Why I'm Fighting In Wisconsin.' Here's a slice:

In 2010, Megan Sampson was named an Outstanding First Year Teacher in Wisconsin. A week later, she got a layoff notice from the Milwaukee Public Schools. Why would one of the best new teachers in the state be one of the first let go? Because her collective-bargaining contract requires staffing decisions to be made based on seniority.

Ms. Sampson got a layoff notice because the union leadership would not accept reasonable changes to their contract. Instead, they hid behind a collective-bargaining agreement that costs the taxpayers $101,091 per year for each teacher, protects a 0% contribution for health-insurance premiums, and forces schools to hire and fire based on seniority and union rules.

My state's budget-repair bill, which passed the Assembly on Feb. 25 and awaits a vote in the Senate, reforms this union-controlled hiring and firing process by allowing school districts to assign staff based on merit and performance. That keeps great teachers like Ms. Sampson in the classroom.

Most states in the country are facing a major budget deficit. Many are cutting billions of dollars of aid to schools and local governments. These cuts lead to massive layoffs or increases in property taxes—or both.

In Wisconsin, we have a better approach to tackling our $3.6 billion deficit. We are reforming the way government works, as well as balancing our budget. Our reform plan gives state and local governments the tools to balance the budget through reasonable benefit contributions. In total, our budget-repair bill saves local governments almost $1.5 billion, outweighing the reductions in state aid in our budget.

While it might be a bold political move, the changes are modest. We ask government workers to make a 5.8% contribution to their pensions and a 12.6% contribution to their health-insurance premium, both of which are well below what other workers pay for benefits. Our plan calls for Wisconsin state workers to contribute half of what federal employees pay for their health-insurance premiums. (It's also worth noting that most federal workers don't have collective bargaining for wages and benefits.)

Wisconsin GOP Senators Pass Collective Bargaining Bill Without Democrats

The circus in Wisconsin appears to be coming to an end.

Tired of waiting for the 14 Democrat Senators who fled to neighboring Illinois to return, Wisconsin's GOP Senators simply stripped Governor Walker's budget bill of all specific fiscal items and voted to strip public employee unions of all collective bargain rights except the right to negotiate over wages.

The Wisconsin State Senate requires a quorum to take up any measures that actually spend money. But Republicans discovered that if they split off the proposal from the legislation to curtail public employee union's bargaining rights, they were legally able to pass a bill and a special conference committee of state lawmakers approved that bill a short time later.

Meanwhile, FOX is reporting that Senate Democrats are apparently returning to Wisconsin. Of course, if they do turn up, the Wisconsin State Senate will pass the full budget-repair bill in the senate, and it would go right to the governor’s desk for his signature.

Scott Walker has won this battle.

A number of Democrats have decried this as shoving a bill through, undemocratic, ans showing an unwillingness to compromise.Funny, these are the same people who cheered when ObamaCare was rammed through!
