Egyptian/Israeli meeting in Cairo yeilds no consensus on Hamas
New Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni got nowhere meeting with Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit today on Hamas: Egypt poses no conditions for Hamas to disarm, repudiate terrorism or recognize Israel. The only thing Gheit did was to urge Israel to free up the Palestinian tax money.
There were rumours that Livni, Mubarak and Egyptian intelligence minister Omar Suleiman had come to a concensus about Hamas.
Nope. No way. And no press release or communique' was issued.
