The Head Of The BBC Admits They're Scared Sh*tless Of Muslims

No great surprise here, but at least al-Beeb is now out in the open.

Al-Beeb's Director-General, Mark Thompson did an unusually honest bit of whinging and admitted that the BBC reports differently on Christianity than on Islam.

"What Christian identity feels like to the broad population is a little bit different to people for whom their religion is also associated with an ethnic identity which has not been fully integrated.

There's no reason why any religion should be immune from discussion, but I don't want to say that all religions are the same. To be a minority I think puts a slightly different outlook on it."

Thompson also said shows critical of Islam would be shown if they were of high quality...which, based on al-Beeb's programming and reporting can be translated as 'never in hell.'

Having seen what kind of violent behavior Muslims are capable of when they get riled up, the BBC simply decided that all that stuff about journalistic ethics and responsibilities and the Fourth estate wasn't worth risking their necks for, thank you very much.Blasphemy against Christians, on the other hand, is cool and shows how modern and cutting edge we are according to Mr. Thompson's logic...and speaking of cutting edge, those wimpy Christians might shout a little but they're not going to issue a cash bounty death fatwa on reporters or start bombing the BBC's offices.

This sort of selective bias not only effects reporting on Islam but obviously impacts how Al-Beeb reports on stories about Israeli-Arab conflict (or indeed any stories about Israel) Iran, Pakistan, Islamist terrorism, no-go Muslim areas in British cities, the Iraq War and a host of other topics, something that's definitely not news to anyone with a fighting chance of a two digit IQ that's been paying attention.

But here's the question...the Beeb is a government monopoly, paid for by the taxpayers. Is it the official policy of the British government that Islam gets preferential treatment and benefits from de facto censorship? Did the British electorate vote for this?

And then the the little factoid that the vast majority of those taxpayers just happen to be Christians, at least nominally. According to Mark Thompson, that apparently means that their rights and sensibilities can be stomped on with impunity. Did I get something wrong here?

ACORN Investigated by FBI For Voter Fraud...

Well, it's about time...your tax dollars at work investigating another use of your tax dollars at work:

The FBI is investigating whether the community activist group ACORN helped foster voter registration fraud around the nation before the presidential election.

A senior law enforcement official confirmed the investigation to The Associated Press on Thursday. A second senior law enforcement official says the FBI was looking at results of recent raids on ACORN offices in several states for any evidence of a coordinated national scam.

ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, says it has registered 1.3 million young people, minorities and poor and working-class voters—most of whom tend to be Democrats. ( most?? how about ALL of them! - ff)

Republican accusations about the group were raised during Wednesday's presidential debate between Democrat Barack Obama and GOP candidate John McCain.

Some ACORN employees have been accused of submitting false voter registration forms—including some signed `Mickey Mouse' or other fictitious characters.

Those voter registration cards have become the focus of fraud investigations in Nevada, Connecticut, Missouri and at least five other states. Election officials in Ohio and North Carolina also recently questioned the group's voter forms.

ACORN has said the "vast majority" of its workers are conscientious, but some might have turned in duplicate applications or provided fake information to pad their pay.

Unfortunately, it's doubtful this is going to be resolved before the election, and ACORN just got a whole bunch of taxpayer dollars via the bailout bill, courtesy of the Democrat party.

If Maverick wasn't so concerned with appearing bi-partisan, he could have screamed about this a couple of months ago, when this corrupt scam was evident to anyone looking. Or he could have led a GOP revolt against the bailout bill unless the back door funding for ACORN was slashed. Needless to say, he did neither, and we'll all continue to suffer for it.

Ohio Voting Scandal Goes To Supreme Court

You'll recall that I reported previously on the voting scandal in Ohio, where ACORN has been involved in major voter registration fraud, aided and abetted by the Democrat Secretary of State, Deborah Brunner.

The key to the attempt to steal Ohio's votes and hand it to the Chosen One is the new `same day registrations' bill, which essentially means that anyone can register to vote and cast a ballot the same day...with no ID, no proof of residence and no proof of the person's eligibility. So ACORN has been registering illegal aliens, corpses, transients and even Obama campaign workers bused in from out of state.

ACORN, whom the Obama campaign gave over $800,000 to that we know about, has already been busted in 13 states this election for this kind of activity.

When the Ohio GOP sued, Brunner was ordered by a Federal judge to perform voter verification required by the Help American Vote Act and give that information to county election boards..after which a three judge panel in the Sixth Circuit Court Of Appeals vacated the order for Brunner to provide county elections boards with the names of voters whose personal information does not match state motor-vehicle or federal Social Security records on a two to one vote, on the ridiculous basis that the Ohio GOP waited too long to challenge this and that this constituted "late-game litigation".

The ruling was rushed through before the entire appellate court could judge the matter, and when the full court assembled they reinstated the order. And a subsequent investigation showed that Brunner had been sitting on over 200,000 registrations with 'discrepancies' that she neglected to inform the local county election boards about.

To put this in context, remember that George W.Bush's margin of victory in Ohio in 2004 was just over 100,000 votes.And you can only imagine what 200,00 extra 'votes', strategically placed could do to congressional races.

Faced with having to make this public and comply with the Sixth Circuit's order, Brunner ran to the Supreme Court which in this case that means none other than our old friend Justice John Paul Stevens, who handles emergency matters for the Sixth Circuit.

Ohio’s top election official has asked the Supreme Court to put on hold a federal judge’s order requiring steps to verify the voter registration rolls across the state, arguing that the order had “destabilized” the election situation just three weeks before voters go to the polls. An application for stay (Brunner v. Ohio Republican Party, et al., 08A332) was filed Wednesday night with Justice John Paul Stevens, who handles emergency matters from the Sixth Circuit.

...The application contended that the order may encourage a flood of lawsuits across the nation, disrupting the election process and threatening to require many voters to cast provisional ballots, thus perhaps deterring them from voting.

Justice Stevens may act without asking state GOP officials to respond, or wait until there is a response. He also has the option of sharing a decision with his Court colleagues, or acting alone.

Nice, hmmm?

We'll see what develops....

The Debate....First Impressions

If any of you ever doubt how much I love you, remember that I actually tuned into the debate tonight instead of the Dodgers/Phillies matchup.

First impressions? Mac must have scored a tab of Viagra tonight. He scored a number of points, and we actually saw a bit of motorboatin' from the Chosen One.

Obama gets points as well for being able to lie with a straight face on camera, especially about the Infant's Birth Protection Act..although McCain failed to mention that an identical bill to provide infants who survive botched abortions with medical care passed in the US enate 95 zip with the same wording as the one Obama killed, and that even NARAL wasn't heartless enough to oppose it. Good line: "I don't see how you vote present on sopmething like that."

I also would have loved to have had McCain, after Obama established he was for partial birth abortion actually describe the process itself...crushing an almost fully formed infants head and then vacuuming its brains out so the head collapses and the dead child can be pulled out of the womb.

I also liked McCain confronting Obama directly and challenging him to repudiate John Lewis' race baiting..which a number of p[eople may have noticed Obama refused to do.

It's also good that ACORN was mentioned, although it could have been done so more forcefully. And so could Obama's shielding of Fannie and Freddie for campaign cash that directly resulted in the subprime mortgage crisis.

The 'Joe the plumber' device was also good though it got overused to the point where I expect it to become a punchline on late night TV:



Still, it's a classic marxist response to the idea of a working man wanting to rise above his station, and thus needed to be underlined.

And McCain actually used sarcasm for once, countering Obama's stuttering about vouchers in DC with the "So, there's not enough vouchers yet so let's not use it, even though it works, right?"

Mac won this one pretty handily, and sounded animated and in control for the most part. If this was debate#1, I think it would have had a lot more effect. Coming as it does now this late in the game when McCain is being outspent by Obama 8 to 1 in TV advertising, it's effect is probably going to be minimal..but we'll see.

Tonight's Debate...

It starts in less than three hours, local time...and I'm not at all certain I want to tune in.I have a feeling a lot of my fellow Americans feel the same way.

If John McCain were a different sort of person, he would have raised the question of Obama's sleazy associations and marxist worldview a long time ago, or taken a cue from Obama and had his surrogates do it. At this point, I doubt he has enough time to make that case.I hope I'm wrong.

The election has become a referendum on Obama, as it was in the beginning. It needn't have stayed that way, but John McCain, out of ignorance, misplaced loyalty, or a total misunderstanding of what this election is really about hasn't provided a reason to vote for him..only for or against Obama.

McCain is out of touch, although in a vastly different way than the Obama camp meant.

The electorate this year is angry..angry at Congress, angry at the lack of leadership from the White House, and livid over the plundering of the Treasury to bail out Congress's Wall Street cronies and the Bush family run Carlyle Group's Arab clients.

The way for McCain to win was to attack those targets...a do-nothing dysfunctional Congress and a mediocre president, while scaring the heebie jeebies out of the country at the prospect of an Obama administration in charge. He failed to do so, and actually made an ass of himself by publicly suspending his campaign, making a high profile trip to DC and then voting for the bail out instead of keeping his distance from it like Obama did. And he's paying the price for it now.

Sarah Palin, it should be said, didn't make those mistakes and has a canny instinct for the gut mood of the electorate, which is one reason the Left is going out of its way to demonize her and neutralize her now if they can. She's one of the most natural and charismatic conservative politicians we've had on the scene since Reagan, and the idea of her in the White House revving up for a trip to the Oval Office in 2012 is enough to give the American Left sleepless nights and is one of the few damned good reason to vote for the Republican ticket this year.

T any rate, I don't expect tonight's fracas to be particularly well watched, as the race has solidified and people have already made up their minds about the Barack Hussein Obama, no matter what they say to pollsters. Nor do I expect any major fireworks,because unlike Palin, John McCain will allow CBS talking head Bob Schieffer to set the agenda rather than talking to the voters. All Obama has to do is avoid a melt down and things will stay pretty much as they are...which doesn't mean that the Chosen One has it all won, by the way, just that I don't expect a lot of people to decide because of tonight's festivities.

If there's going to be any major swings in this election at this point it will be from something outside the control of either candidate.

A Synagogue In Jerusalem Reopens After 70 Years..

One of the lies the fair and balanced dinosaur media constantly repeats that absolutely infuriates me is the quaint little phrase `traditionally Arab East Jerusalem.'

The part they never mention is that Jerusalem was always a majority Jewish city until 1948 - when the Arabs ethnically cleansed every Jews from the territory they captured. I'll never forget the time I was watching some Arab on CNN screaming about how this house had been in his family for centuries..while the camera man grabbed a quick shot of the right side of the house's doorway, where you could clearly see where the mezuzah, a ritual object placed on every Jewish home had been ripped away.

In that illegal occupation which lasted two decades, Jews were forbidden access to their holy places and over twenty eight synagogues in the Old City were desecrated or destroyed.

Today, one of them was reconsecrated for prayer after its reconstruction, Ohel Yitzhak Synagogue in Jerusalem, located 100 meters from the Temple Mount.

Ohel Yitzhak, originally built in 1904 used to be part of a neighborhood of 5,000 Jews and their families in 'traditionally Arab East Jerusalem until they were driven by the murderous violence of th eproponents of the Religion of Peace. During the period of Jordanian rule that ended in 1967 with the Six Day War, the synagogue was almost totally destroyed, and a book store was opened up on the ground floor of the synagogue, the only part of the building left intact.

The Arabs,as you might expect, are livid about this. There's nothing that enrages a thief so much as having to give up part of the loot he stole, I suppose, something the Qu'ran devotes a decent amount of space to.

In reality, the Arabs should be thankful the Israelis allow them to continue to squat in Jerusalem, particularly those Arabs that aren't Israeli citizens and live there solely due to the tolerance of the Jews. That sort of tolerance would not be reciprocated if the shoe was on the other foot...nor has it ever been:

"We are here today to mark the return of a Jewish presence to this house of prayer," said Rabbi Shmuel Rabbinovitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and the holy sites. "This synagogue is place of prayer and peace." {...}

Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski also rejected claims that reopening the synagogue was a belligerent act.

"I am astounded when I hear people who attempt to turn a simple act of restoration into a battle for control. This synagogue was deserted because of Arab violence. But that does not mean what we are doing now is violent just because some people say it is," he said.

Indeed. As if the Arabs didn't have first hand knowledge of what real religious violence is..

Harper And The Conservatives Win In Canada

Our friends in the Great White North had their election yesterday,and I'm happy to report that Stephen Harper and the Conservatives triumphed.

Maybe the Canadians, having had to deal with socialism and a wasteful spendaholic Leftist government for years have had enough of that crap for a while.If the Chosen One manages to ooze into the White House here, expect that same revulsion in two years.

One particularly nice result was that Green Party leader Elizabeth May got stomped trying to unseat Conservative Defense Minister Peter MacKay..which means we can count on the Canadians continuing to fight by our side in the War on Jihad.

Jesse Jackson: Obama Will End 'Zionist Control' In DC

Nice of him to clue us in on what the New Order will be like....

Jesse Jackson held court today at the first World Policy Forum in Evian, France, and as renowned writer Amir Taheri reveals, Jackson was pretty open about letting everyone know they could expect 'fundamental change' in Washington once Obama's elected.

Especially when it comes to those pesky Jews:

The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end.

Jackson believes that, although "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" remain strong, they'll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.

"Obama is about change," Jackson told me in a wide-ranging conversation. "And the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it."

Jackson warns that he isn't an Obama confidant or adviser, "just a supporter." But he adds that Obama has been "a neighbor or, better still, a member of the family." Jackson's son has been a close friend of Obama for years, and Jackson's daughter went to school with Obama's wife Michelle.

"We helped him start his career," says Jackson. "And then we were always there to help him move ahead. He is the continuation of our struggle for justice not only for the black people but also for all those who have been wronged." {...}

Bush was so afraid of a snafu and of upsetting Israel that he gave the whole thing a miss," Jackson says. "Barack will change that," because, as long as the Palestinians haven't seen justice, the Middle East will "remain a source of danger to us all."

"Barack is determined to repair our relations with the world of Islam and Muslims,"

Needless to say, Racist, anti-Semitic scumbags like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will receive a warm welcome in an Obama White House. And Israel had better realize that with Obama as president, they are going to be screwed and tattooed and had better not count on much from their American ally.

Birds of a feather, you know..

Sukkot, 5769

I'll be taking a hiatus for a couple of days to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot, which commemorates the forty-year period during which the children of Israel were wandering in the desert. Sukkot is also a harvest festival and the direct ancestor of the American Thanksgiving...William Bradford and the Pilgrims were very familiar with the Bible ( Bradford, like many other educated people of his day spoke and wrote Hebrew) and likewise wanted to give thanks for their deliverance from the wilderness.

In honor of the sojourn of children of Israel in the wilderness, people live in or spend time and at least eat some of their meals in temporary shelters. These contraptions are called sukkahs. The sukkah has at least three sides and a partially open roof covered with palm fronds, reeds, or whatever. people normally adorn the sukkahs with various decorations. Essentially, it's a party, coming as a counterpoint to Yom Kippur and the Days of Awe.

Another observance during Sukkot involves what are known as The Four Species or the lulav and etrog. The lulav consists of a palm branch, a myrtle branch, and a willow branch bound together. They all have symbolic meanings relating to the land of Israel.The etrog is a citrus fruit native to Israel (and now, California) and is held separately. With these four species in hand, one recites a blessing and waives the species in all six directions (east, south, west, north, up and down).

Now, me, I'm off to build a sukkah, an act of faith in itself given the winds and the fires....Chag Sameach!

The Jewish Stockholm Syndrome

Some of you may remember the Stockholm Syndrome. It's a psychological response whereby the hostage shows signs of loyalty and attachment to the hostage-taker, regardless of the abusive conditions they've been subjected to or the risk to their own survival.

This election cycle has given us a classic example. No matter what else happens, you can be sure that at least 60% of the Jewish vote, if not more, will go to Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrat ticket.

It's passing strange that this should be so, to say the least.

Barack Obama's past associations, not to mention his present ones ought to set off warning signals to most Jews equivalent to a three alarm fire in a crowded city.

Here we have a presidential candidate who's avowed hero and role model was the renowned anti-Semite Malcolm X; who's spiritual mentor at the church he chose to belong to for two decades was a vicious Jew hater and racist named Jeremiah Wright, who supports Jew-hating Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam and Hamas; and who's long time associate and benefactor, black separatist and radical Islamist Khalid al-Mansour provided Obama's close connection to both the Nation of Islam and the Saudis.

None of that seems to be a warning signal to the majority of American Jews. And neither is Obama's instant flip flop on Jerusalem, his endorsement by Hamas, Louis Farakhan, Ahmadinejad, Hezbollah and virtually every other Islamist on earth, Obama's observation that ‘Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people’or the quaint little fact that just about every prominent member of his foreign policy team (with the exception of the newly arrived Dennis Ross) is overtly hostile to Israel and considers the Jewish State the 'problem' that's needs solving in the Middle East.

Mere details. Total silence. Besides, to these people, there's a truly dangerous person running for the White House..Sarah Palin.

Now, there's someone worthy of being demonized.

Never mind that Sarah Palin and Senator McCain are both fervently pro-Israel, and that both Palin and McCain are outspoken on the need to stand with Israel against Iran and prevent a second Holocaust and refuse to consider dealing with Iran until they drop that little item from their agenda.

No matter that Sarah Palin has an Israeli flag in her office, that every Jew with personal knowledge of her from the head of Chabad in Anchorage, Rabbi Josef Greenberg on down has praised her support of Israel and the Jewish people.

None of it matters. To listen to the screams of outrage from certain quarters, you'd think that Sarah Palin was der Führer reincarnated as a yahoo redneck from America's outback.

This insanity has included obscene rants from completely secular Jews like Sandra Bernhard,and has even extended to successful pressure from the Jewish Left to exclude Sarah Palin from speaking in solidarity with the Jewish people at an anti-Ahmadinejad demonstration in front of the UN when Iran's president and resident Holocaust denier-in-chief visited New York City...an amazingly short-sighted insult towards someone who might one day be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

What's going on, cousins, is that the majority of Jews in America have been hostages of the Democrats for so long that they will willfully ignore their own real interests,side with their captors and adopt their interests as their own, no matter what. Classic Stockholm Syndrome.

All we have to do to prove this is to look at what Sarah Palin's biggest crimes are in their eyes.

For starters, Sarah Palin is an Evangelical Christian.That alone is enough to start these people salivating about burning her at the stake.

The idea of Jews demonizing Evangelical Christians, who are beyond a doubt as a group the most fervent non-Jewish supporters of Israel and the Jewish people might seem odd, even self-destructive until you realize that for a lot of secular Jews on the Left, Israel is far down the list of important issues, if it even appears on the list at all.

For most of these people, abortion, homosexual marriage and mouthing the catechism of the Left to keep favor with their ideological captors are far more important. I remember a conversation I had a couple of years back with Natan Sharansky during a university tour he did here, and I'll always remember his shock at how little so many Jews he ran into knew or cared about Israel and why it should matter to them personally.

They simply don't get it.

The absurd thing is, a lot of Leftist Jews try to justify this attitude by claiming that Evangelicals only support Israel so that all the Jews can be gathered there and either convert or be destroyed at the End of Days. To understand how ridiculous this is, you actually have to read Scripture and look at the Bible and the Gospels to understand where the Christian Evangelical regard for Israel and the Jews really comes from.....but then again, that's something almost none of the people regurgitating this urban legend have ever done in their lives.

Then of course, there's abortion.

It's abortion in particular that makes a lot of Leftist Jewish women froth at the mouth, to the point where poor Sarah Palin might as well have a huge scarlet "A" pinned to her chest. Imagine this trailer trash breeder, with five kids.. and not only that, one of them is a baby with Down's Syndrome that not only didn't she abort but says she feels blessed to have given birth to. The nerve! How dare she not endorse Obama and the pro infanticide ticket? Is she trying to shame us and make us look bad?

Given their attitudes on Israel and on these social issues, it's no wonder spokesmouths of Leftist secular Jewish opinion like Ira Foreman and Sarah Silverman continue to whine that Sarah Palin is 'totally out of step’ with American Jewish public opinion. And of course, they're largely correct..at least when it comes to secular Jews on the Left. Most of them would vote for Hermann Göring himself if he had a small 'd' after his name, made some vague, innocuous remarks about supporting Israel and embraced the abortion sacrament.

There's a verse in Deuteronomy 30:19 traditionally read at Yom Kippur services that says: "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live."

The current election underlines the divide between those Jews who've embraced a culture of life and those who've embraced a culture of death and continue to be hostages to their Leftist captors, no matter how many betrayals have occurred..always to their intense shock and surprise, when they finally realize it.

And yes, I realize what a harsh statement that is.

This goes beyond mere party identification and cuts to the core of whom someone is and what they believe in their heart of hearts.

And the most bitterly ironic joke of all is that someone like a Sarah Palin or a Pastor John Hagee would be demonized by people who claim to represent `Jewish values' but who almost always lack even a remote clue as to what those values actually are, ('tikkun olam', anyone?) and have little or no understanding of their past.

Instead, they eagerly embrace and articulate the values of people who mean them no good whatsoever and thus are condemned to repeat the cycle.

Like I said, classic Stockholm....

Iran's Pre-Conditions For Talks WithThe US

The Chosen One may be willing to sit down with Iran's Ahmadinejad without any pre-conditions, but the Iranians apparently have other ideas.

According to IRNA Iran's vice president for Media Affairs Mehdi Kalhor, Iran has two pre-conditions that have to be met before any meeting with the Americans - pulling all our troops out of the Middle East and abandoning our ally Israel:

Vice President for Media Affairs Mehdi Kalhor said on Saturday that Iran has set two preconditions for holding talks with the United States of America.

In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said as long as US forces have not left the Middle East region and continues its support for the Zionist regime, talks between Iran and US is off the agenda.

It is the Americans who are in dire need of reestablishing ties with Iran, he underlined.

Iran is not obliged to reestablish ties with the US, he said.

"If they take our advise, grounds for such talks would be well prepared," he said.

It is stupidity to hold talks without any change in US attitude, he underlined.

Actually, given Obama's views and the views of top members of his foreign policy team, Iran might just get what it wants out of an Obama administration...a US admission of defeat and an end to US support for the 'Zionist entity.'

Sorry Chris Buckley...Your Dad Would Hurl

Chris Buckley, son of the late Wiliam F. Buckley, the founder of the National Review wrote a column in something called the Daily Beast entitled `Sorry, Dad, I'm voting for Obama'.

Buckley's reasons, neatly summarized, go something like this; Sarah Palin is a redneck yahoo breeder who represents a kook fringe in America, and John McCain is a nice guy but he was ape poopy to pick her as his vice president:

"My colleague, the superb and very dishy Kathleen Parker, recently wrote in National Review Online a column stating what John Cleese as Basil Fawlty would call “the bleeding obvious”: namely, that Sarah Palin is an embarrassment, and a dangerous one at that. She’s not exactly alone. New York Times columnist David Brooks, who began his career at NR, just called Governor Palin “a cancer on the Republican Party.” {...}

Dear Pup once said to me sighfully after a right-winger who fancied himself a WFB protégé had said something transcendently and provocatively cretinous, “You know, I’ve spent my entire life time separating the Right from the kooks.” Well, the dear man did his best.(...)

John McCain has changed. He said, famously, apropos the Republican debacle post-1994 “We came to Washington to change it, and Washington changed us.” This campaign has changed John McCain. It has made him inauthentic. A once-first class temperament has become irascible and snarly; his positions change, and lack coherence; he makes unrealistic promises, such as balancing the federal budget “by the end of my first term.” Who, really, believes that? Then there was the self-dramatizing and feckless suspension of his campaign over the financial crisis. His ninth-inning attack ads are mean-spirited and pointless. And finally, not to belabor it, there was the Palin nomination. What on earth can he have been thinking?"

He then goes on to refer to Obama as having first class temperament and intellect.

Let me make this as plain as possible. Buckley's entitled to vote for anyone he pleases. And as a matter of fact, I agree with his characterization of McCain as making some unrealistic promises - the word pander comes to mind - and changing his positions in an unseemly way...but is he seriously trying to suggest that Obama hasn't been guilty of the same things, only more so? And to underline Buckley's intellectual dishonesty, he as much as admits that in the last part of his piece.

Nah...for Buckley, it's all about Sarah Palin.

I expect Chris Buckley doesn't remember this, since he was probably quite young or perhaps merely a future event at the time, but Bill Buckley's chief achievement in 'separating the Right from kooks', as he puts it, was to drum racists and Jew haters out of the conservative movement and to marginalize them. William F. Buckley acknowledged that goal on a number of occasions, and had the courage to make it happen. That's an historical part of what the National Review was all about, back at its' beginnings.

And yet, Chris Buckley is proud to endorse a man who sat in a racist and anti-Semitic church for two decades without saying a word, who's hero was the arch anti-Semite Malcolm X,who participated in the Nation of Islam's Million Man march and said nothing while Louis Farakhan demonized Jews from the stage? Somebody with long standing connections to the Nation of Islam and the Saudis?

And he has the nerve to accuse Sarah Palin of being part of the 'kook fringe?'

My, my. Such sloppy, biased thinking.

Mr. Buckley, your late father would be embarrassed for you.I know I am.

McCain Endorses Obama

And no, I'm not kidding...



Okay, the above vid is from the far left site Talking Points Memo, but let's face it..when someone at one of his rallies said he was scared of the idea of an Obama presidency, you'd think Johnny Mac would have taken the opportunity to accurately describe Obama as a political opportunist with far Left views, no discernible resume and sleazy and questionable associations, including membership in a racist church for over two decades.

Instead, McCain referred to Obama as a decent person who's accomplishments he respects, and a man that no one should be scared of as president!

Unbelievable...as Joshua's Army Member Louie Louie pointed out, Obama needn't waste money creating any new ads...he just a got a stellar endorsement from his opponent, and all he has to do is loop it and run it! I mean, if Barack Obama is a decent person with myriad accomplishments who nobody ought to be afraid to put in the White House, than why not vote for him?

What this is, of course, is McCain's final betrayal of the conservative base.

Maybe he's simply tired, or maybe Obama surrogate Congressman John Lewis playing the race card and comparing him to George Wallace put him over the edge, or maybe he's still clinging to the fantasy that this campaign is somehow still aboveboard and honest no matter how often he gets kicked in the crotch by Obama and his Chicago mafia, but whatever the reason John McCain has decided he ain't playing anymore.

Barack Hussein Obama has the media shilling for him, ACORN and a bunch of corrupt Democrat legislators queering the vote with phony registrations and a whole boatload of money, much of it garnered illegally from overseas to finance the whole foul smelling endeavor. The way for McCain to win was to run against the most dysfunctional Congress in history and to reveal Obama's character,background and core beliefs to the electorate and make them damned well afraid of the most far left candidate we've ever had on the ballot taking over.

During his broadcast last Friday,(October 10th) Rush Limbaugh reminded McCain of exactly what kind of president Barack Hussein Obama would be and challenged him to stand up for his country heroically one more time and fight. Instead, McCain has essentially gone back into his corner, hit the stool and said 'no mas'. And at the same time, he just legitimized the characterization by the Left and the dinosaur media of the Conservative base as a bunch of ignorant redneck racist yahoos too stoo-pid to bend over for the New Order.

And that includes Sarah Palin, by the way. Apparently she's been a little too successful at inspiring the base and the rumors abound about her being muzzled at McCain's express orders, although at this point she may just ignore him, figuring she's got nothing to lose and everything to gain no matter what happens in November.

When McCain started his campaign, he promised to fight for what's right for our country.He promised change to an electorate that was hungry for it, after eight years of Bush and two years of a Democrat-run congress. Instead, he's ended up lacking the guts to focus on either target, and signed on to a corrupt bail out the voters rightfully see as a rip off and business as usual in Washington.

No wonder he got booed at his own rally.

I always figured we'd have to carry McCain over the finish line, but I never expected him to be dead weight.

As it is, McCain just let us know that he's no compelling reason to vote Republican this year, and that the only reason to do so to get Sarah Palin in the White House and keep Barack Obama and his cabal out.

Those are still damned good reasons, but Maverick isn't going to be the one to say so.He'd rather diss the people who were actually trying to fight the odds and elect him.

Let's just say that I'd actually hoped for more from him and leave it at that. Silly me..

Voter Fraud Triumphs In Ohio...

Ohio will likely vote Democrat this year.Sorry to be a downer, but it is what it is.

For the first time this year, the state has allowed `same day registrations' which essentially means that anyone can register to vote and cast a ballot the same day...with no ID, no proof of residence and no proof of the person's eligibility.

This is a direct result of the Democrats taking over the State house and the legislature.

Needless to say, ACORN has been into the Buckeye State up to its elbows, voting illegal aliens, corpses and even campaign workers bussed in from out of state using fraudulent addresses.

ACORN, an organization intimately connected with Obama ( he was once their attorney) has already been busted in five states this year for voter fraud.

When the Ohio Republican Party complained,Democrat Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner told them to get bent, so they took it to court.

A federal judge ruled in their favor, stating that Brunner is mandated to perform voter verification required by the Help American Vote Act and give that information to county election boards.

But the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals just vacated that order:

A federal appeals court ruled 2-1 last night in favor of Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to put on hold an order sought by the Ohio Republican Party involving information about new voters and concerns about potential fraud.

The three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Brunner is not required to provide county elections boards with the names of voters whose personal information does not match state motor-vehicle or federal Social Security records, as ordered Thursday by U.S. District Court Judge George C. Smith of Columbus.

The 6th Circuit's ruling was rushed through before the entire Court had the chance to review the case, and was based on the quaint idea that the Ohio GOP waited too long to challenge this and that this constituted "late-game litigation".

That's roughly equivalent to the idea of letting a thief go because you caught him in the act when he was almost done burglarizing your house...especially considering that Ohio just started its early voting period.

Barring a Supreme Court reversal, what will happen, just like with Obama illegal foreign campaign contributions is that this will go to the FEC after the election, which will make a recommendation to the Justice Department as to whether to prosecute or not. Assuming the FEC does recommend prosecution, an Obama appointed Attorney General will decline to do so, on the grounds that after looking at the facts, he or she has decided that any fraud would have no effect on the results.

That, by the way, is exactly how Lorretta Sanchez(d-CA) got into Congress during the Clinton Administration, by 'defeating' Republican Bob Dornan with the aid of massive voting by illegal aliens. When the Clinton Justice Department refused to investigate Dornan's complaint, Dornan did a cursory one himself, proving over 3,000 illegal aliens 'voted' for Sanchez in his district.

After which Clinton AG Janet Reno refused to investigate further, deciding arbitrarily that a further investigation would `change nothing', except maybe removing an illegally elected Democrat from office...and we can't have that, can we?

Of course, McCain could perhaps prompt an overturn by screaming bloody murder about this deliberate fraud in Ohio and elsewhere and demanding that the Obama campaign cease and desist...but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Yom Kippur, 5769

At sunset, Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement starts.

It is a day of fasting, prayer, spiritual reflection and contemplating G-d's judgment.

It's a day that always strikes me with awe and despair...because I know, and G-d knows exactly how imperfect a human being I am. All I can do, as the prayer says, is to ask G-d for understanding,mercy, and the strength to make things right because my good deeds are always too few.

Oddly enough, Yom Kippur is not just about abasement. It is a time of hope, a time to see how to make things right between you and G-d and to persevere as you attempt to purify yourself spiritually.

The (ZZzzzz) Debate - And A Few Helpful Hints For John McCain

Anyone expecting fireworks from this one was sorely disappointed.

As a matter of fact, the ratings were substantially lower than they were for the Palin/Biden match up, which suggests to me that the race is solidifying and a lot of people have already made up their minds.

Certainly John McCain did nothing much to affect that.

A good part of the reason for that, and for the boring aspect of the debate can be traced to the farcical 'moderating' of Leftist ex-Talking Head Tom Brokaw, who selected questions deliberately designed to keep Obama in his comfort zone and avoid areas like voter fraud, past associations like Bill Ayers,Tony Rezco, Khalid Mansour, immigration, abortion, guns,or courts. Plus, Brokaw devoted almost the entire debate to feel-good economics questions, leaving foreign policy to be covered incompletely in the last half hour.

When Gwen Ifill tried to do this to Sarah Palin, she simply refused to go along with Ifill's agenda and made her case to the voters. Her running mate apparently couldn't bring himself to do the same, which meant that even though the debate was essentially a draw, Obama won by default.

A few points for Senator McCain...nobody cares about what good buddies you are with Russ Feingold and Teddy Kennedy. And at this point, yakking about how Tip O'Neill and Ronald Reagan did it back in the good ol' days (Mac mentioned this at least twice) isn't going to win friends and influence people.

When Obama outright lies, you need to counter him swiftly and unapologetically. When he spouts the talking point about how 95% of Americans will get a tax cut, you need to tell the American people that the Chosen One wants to raise the payroll and capital gains taxes, which will affect anyone that owns stock or property or a small business of any kind and will lead to higher prices for goods and services, inflation and layoffs.

When Obama slides by on something, as he did after his incestuous relationship with Fannie Mae and the money he received was brought up, underline the fact that he failed to address it, to make sure nobody misses it.

If a tool like Brokaw won't go near it, you need to talk to the American people and remind them of Obama's questionable alliances with people who really don't like this country. You need to mention his stance on abortion.

When Obama pontificates about energy, you need to remind the American people that the reason they're paying what they're paying for gas at the pump is because Obama and his party have stonewalled every attempt in Congress to utilize America's energy resources...which is why we haven't built a gasoline refinery in the US for twenty years.If the Chosen One dares to mention clean coal, you need to remind the American people that his running mate is on tape saying that there will be no coal plants in an Obama administration.

When Obama talks about General Petraeus and 'our brave troops' you need to cut him to ribbons, reminding the American people that Obama voted to cut off funds to our troops in harm's way and that when his pals at MoveOn put out the Petraeus-Betray us ad, Obama refused to vote for a senate resolution condemning it. And in fact, he did everything but call General Petraeus a liar to his face when he testified before Congress. You need to tell Obama that however much he might want to jump on that bandwagon now, he felt very differently about our troops a few months ago, an example of flawed and dangerous judgment.

When the Chosen One yaks it up about Pakistan,you need to smile and remind him of his own words about invading Waziristan, an area the size of Texas with two brigades. You need to make the point that his intemperate remarks helped undermine Musharraf, a US ally, and that his shooting off his mouth constituted irresponsible behavior almost unique in American politics.. You need to jokingly remind him that reading a map can be helpful, and that he ought to realize that Afghanistan is landlocked, that 75% of the supplies for our troops come through Karachi and that the last time we attacked Waziristan the Pakistanis cut off supplies to our troops for a couple of days.

You need to tell the American people that Obama's flawed and dangerous judgment would create a hostile Pakistan, doom our efforts in Afghanistan and result in chaos,just as the policies he wanted for Iraq would have.

Write those words on your sleeve, Senator McCain...'flawed and dangerous judgment.' Instead of ridiculous nonsense about how bi-partisan you are and how you're going to pander, repeat that four times in the next debate. Show the American people exactly how 'presidential' the Chosen One is.

If you're not man enough to do the heavy lifting I'll do it for you. Or maybe send in Sarah Palin to do the job.

You've got one more debate and two weeks to turn this around, Senator. And frankly, I don't feel like seeing the country handed over to dangerous and inexperienced hands because you feel like you're too good to do what's necessary. Man up.
