A Marvelous Speech By Dr. Benjamin Carson

Dr. Benjamin Carson, the chief pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore gave this speech at the national prayer breakfast last week with President Obama in attendance. It's created quite a bit of reaction. Needless to say, President Obama stopped looking pleased after about 12 minutes. You'll see why when you listen to what Dr. Carson had to say, particularly about self-reliance, education and healthcare.

By the way, I can vouch for what he had to say about getting rid of TV when it comes to young children. My wife and I did exactly the same thing when our kids were very small, and it was one of the best things we ever did for them.

Dr. Benjamin, I am sure, is appreciative of his mother's dedication and sticktoitiveness, in raising him. Despite her personal hardships, she did a marvelous job. I understand that she, herself, has achieved great scholastic success in acquiring a PhD herself, despite her lack of childhood education. Quite a contrast to Obama's mother, who was well educated, however, abandoned her child in the process.

no sense of shame around here, apparently said...

Falsely accusing a man's dead mother of abandoning him. Rob, there's no way you have kids if you could let something that sleazy go through. For their sake, I sure hope they don't read your blog. Way to keep it classy, republicans.

Hey Shame,

A few things..

1) I could give a rip what you think, how you feel or whether you wake up in the morning.

2) Stanley Anne Dunham did in fact abandon him. Dr. Carson is entirely correct. That's why Grandpa, Grandma and career commie and pornographer Frank Marshall Davis were raising him.

3)I love the way 'truth' is such a relative term to Lefties. It's whatever they want it to mean that serves the agenda.

4) You and the horse you rode in on.
