Apparently there is a bit of a fuss going on about the White House Hanukkah party, based on some of President Obama's controversial decisions since he's been in office, especially in regards to Israel.
As for me, I see no cause for complaint per se. It's nice that President Obama is having a party for Hanukkah. And it's nice that he's willing to have some Jews in the White House.
It's a pity that this tolerance doesn't extend to Jews living in Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem, where he wants to throw them out of their homes. The lust for restricted, Judenrein areas just doesn't jibe with spirit of this particular holiday.
That is something the president's going to have to square someday with a much more demanding judge than I.
