More Bad Polling News For Democrats
In Wisconsin, Ron Johnson is up over Democrat incumbent Russ Feingold by 11 points. Since the last few polls ( including the far more reliable Rasmussen) have shown Johnson leading, this could be another case where a common-sense conservative wipes out a Leftist incumbent.
Now that the primary is over, GOP support is coalescing behind Ron Johnson and I have a feeling it won't be long before Wisconsin slips into the GOP pickup column.
Even better is the news from the race in West Virginia for Robert Byrd's old seat, which shows Republican challenger John Raese ahead of Democrat Governor Joe Manchin 46-43%.
The only reason it's that close is that Manchin is generally popular within the state.Meanwhile, Obama has horrible ratings here in this solid Red State and Raese has been pushing the narrative that Manchin will just be another vote for Obama's agenda. If the tend continues, the GOP might just collect Senator Kleagle's seat as a trophy of the midterms.
And finally, as I predicted,in Alaska Murkowski's followers are deserting her in droves after her announcement of a write in campaign, Republican and Tea Party fave Joe Miller is leading both Murkowski and Democrat Scott McAdamas by double digits, according to Rasmussen.
Israel And China Sign New Agricultural, Trade Agreements
In a development quite appropriate for the upcoming Sukkot holiday, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon and the governor of China's Heilongjiang Province, Mr. Du Jiahao, signed an agricultural cooperation agreement on behalf of Israel and the Chinese government.
The agreement will see the two countries cooperating in terms of assistance in constructing demonstration dairy farms. Israel and the Heilongjiang Province already have extensive agricultural agreements.
During the meeting Ayalon stressed the special relationship between Israel and China, and stated that their friendship is “based on the fact that they are both ancient cultures with historic awareness.” He added that Israel and China’s economies “complement each other. Israel has advanced technology suited to the developing Chinese market and experience in fields that top the Chinese national agenda, such as agriculture and technology.”
Governor Du Jiahao thanked Ayalon for the warm hospitality and added that he was very impressed by Israel. He said that he intends to erect a monument of Jerusalem stone in memory of the Jews who found refuge in Heilongjiang Province during the White Revolution. During that time period, Heilongjiang’s capital, Harbin, provided refuge to tens of thousands of Jews who fled from Russia.
China and Israel have increased their trade relations over the years, mostly in the fields of high tech, telecommunications, agricultural technology ( the Israelis are world leaders in irrigation technology, for example, and bio-medical products. As of 2007, the trade between the two countries had surpassed $4 billion and Israel has a number of trade offices located in China.
I would expect that Israel's trade with China's growing economy is something that is going to increase, especially as Israeli trade with Europe decreases.
Ahmadinejad Threatens U.S. With War 'Without Boundaries' - And Obama's Response
Iran's President Ahmadinejad had a revealing interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos in which he made no pretense about the fact that Iran was going to be a nuclear power with all that entails and that we had better get used to it.
He threatened the US with a war that "would know no boundaries" if Iran's nuclear facilities were attacked. "War is not just bombs." From that, you can pretty much impute that he's talking about interdicting the Persian Gulf oil flow and unleashing Hezbollah cells in the US.
Given that Iran has considered itself in a de facto war with the Great Satan for over thirty years and is helping out our enemies in Afghanistan and Iraq, Ahmadinejad is simply giving us fair warning not to retaliate.
When asked why Iran won't follow the dictates of the IAEA,Ahmadinejad replied that the non-aligned nations and the 57 member Organization of Islamic Conferences support Iran's position on its nuclear program.
In an unintentional bit of comedy, Stephanopuolos insisted on repeatedly asking Ahmadinejad whether Osama bin-Laden was in Iran. After Ahmadinejad quite correctly labeled the question as laughable and asked Stephanopoulos whether he was a serious journalist, Ahmadinejad replied, "No, I guarantee you he's in Washington."
Oh, and our president's response to all this? Essentially it's 'won't you be my friend?'
Israeli Defense Minister and former PM Ehud Barack, oddly enough has the right of it for once, on FOX news today: "“History will judge this [Obama] administration when it comes to the end of its term whether Iran has nuclear weapons or not.”
Indeed it will.

Andrew Breitbart Faces Down Union Thugs
This is definitely good watching.
On Saturday, September 18th, Glenn Beck and Andrew Breitbart were the headliners at a conference called “Right Nation 2010,” held just outside of Chicago, Illinois.
Needless to say, the Soros/Obama nexus over at Organizing America and the SEIU bussed in 'protesters' with the usual signs, chants and malice to disrupt the event.
At least until Andrew Breitbart decided to confront them and ask them to justify and explain the genuinely nasty signs they were carrying..at which point the confused and flustered mob got back onto their buses and left. Definitely a High Noon moment, and it's absolutely hilarious to watch some of the mob flee from Breitbart like a vampire from garlic.
In the end, Breitbart only found one protester with the courage to admit that this was about supporting Obama and the Democrats in the midterms, and that she'd been told to go there by Organizing America. Significantly, she was not part of the rent-a-mob bussed in earlier.
Much more background on the leaders of the rent-a-mob here.
Give you a hint - Democratic Socialists of America and Liberation theologists with a direct connection to the Obama White House.
Soros Sics One Of His Front Groups On Christine O'Donnell
Today, an outfit called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed complaints with the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office and the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against Delaware senatorial candidate Christine O'Donnell, claiming she used campaign funds for personal living expenses, made false statements and committed tax fraud by failing to claim monies she used for her personal expenses as income.
The 'evidence' consists of an affidavit from a disgruntled staffer, a number of FEC disbursement reports that could be taken in a number of ways, and a partisan article from the Delaware -based News Journal.
Much more interesting is who CREW actually is. Their chief donor is George Soros' Open Society Institute, and they also get funds from 'progressive' outlets like Democracy Alliance, Service Employees International Union(SEIU), the Arca Foundation, and the Gill Foundation.
And they're quite open about it. According to Naomi Seligman, the group's deputy director, "We are progressive...We do work within a larger progressive infrastructure."
Melanie Sloan, CREW's Executive Director has an interesting background as well. Prior to starting CREW in 2003, she worked for Democrats John Conyers,( funny, no crew suit for Detroit councilwoman Mrs. COnyers!) Charles Schumer, and Joe Biden. And as an attorney, she represented Valerie Plame of all people inher suit against the Bush Administration.
While CREW claims to be non-partisan, what you mostly find if you look at their record is press releases about the few Democrats they've targeted and lawsuits and formal complaints against Republicans..which is exactly what you'd expect. In fact the only Democrats they've ever filed ethics complaints against are Louisiana Senator Mary Landreiu ( hardly a progressive icon) which they didn't pursue and Queens Democrat Gregory Meeks after he was already under investigation for misusing funds from charities.
This strikes me as a tactic reminiscent of those famous 'ethics complaints' launched against Sarah Palin. They were all bogus and came to nothing, but it costs a candidate time and money to defend against them.
The funny thing is I bet these woman consider themselves feminists.
But hey...anything for the agenda, right CREW?

Jimmy Carter; "I'm Probably Superior To Other Ex-Presidents"

The arrogance of this hateful little toad never ceases to amaze me.
Actually, there's only one president cwazy Unkie Jimmy is superior to - and that one's still in the White House.

Oktoberfest Is Here!!
Beer, pretty girls, and a party setting. What more could you ask? This goes on for sixteen days, until October 3rd.
Munich's mayor taps the opening kegger.
How things look after a few recitations of 'eins, drei supfe!'
Don't ask me how she's holding up all those pints!
Some good friends sharing a few drinks and a moment
Inside one of the beer tents.
A merry go round in front of St. Paul's Church. Hopefully the riders can hold their beer n' bratwurst, if you know what I mean.

And of course, after the festivities, it's always nice to take a rest and sleep it off a bit before returning to the fray...
Glücklich Oktoberfest!
Russia Sells Syria High Tech Missiles
In yet another sign that the Russians are looking to stir the pot in the Middle East, they've decided to sell P-800 Yakhont cruise missiles to Syria.
The sale is worth at least $300 million and will have the Russians delivering around 72 cruise missiles to the Syrians.
The Yakhont is an advanced supersonic, long range, anti-ship missile that features its own high tech inertial navigation system to reach the target area.
The Yakhont can be used at extremely low altitudes and is able to fly between 5 and 15 meters like a sea-skimming missile. Aside from reducing its radar footprint, the low altitude mode increases the element of surprise and minimizes reaction time against the incoming missile.
Of course, it can also be used against land-based targets.
The above map shows the potential range of P800 Yakhont missiles fired from Syrian bases like Tartus or land sites in Southern Syria and Lebanon.
This has implications not only for Israel but for US ships in the area, since the Yakhont was designed to defeat ships protected by the US AEGIS weapon system and similar European systems.
Since Israel and Syria remain technically at war, the Israelis perceive this as a hostile act - especially since there's nothing to stop Syrian dictator Basher Assad from handing the missiles off to Hezbollah.Or for that matter to Iran, as a nifty way around sanctions that the Russians have used before. It's pretty easy to picture the Iranians using the Yakhont missiles against US ships in the Gulf.
Of course, that's what's been wrong all along with the farcical US attempts to 'engage' with Syria. They are not only a conduit to Hezbollah, but to Iran.
The Russians of course are discounting this, and Russia's defense minister Anatoly Serdyukov took the same stance that Russia did over supplying fuel to Iran's Bushehr reactor...don't worry, be happy.
"The US and Israel ask us not to supply Syria with Yakhont," he was quoted as saying on Friday. "But we do not see the concerns expressed by them, that these arms will fall into the hands of terrorists."
Ri-ight.

Gary Bauer: "It's Time For The Islamic World To Prove They Will Tolerate Religious Freedom"
The Family Research Council's Values Voter Summit is one of the premier events for American conservatives. And Gary Bauer, ex-Reagan White House, ex FRC president, and ex-presidential candidate among his many other honors and affiliations made an amazing speech on the War on Jihad (among other topics) there yesterday. It's one of the most forthright you're like to hear on the heart of the matter: Radical Islam.
The Left will go absolutely insane over this 'anti-Islamic sentiment' and ignore the part where Bauer asks Muslims of good will to join the fight, but I urge you to take the time listen to the whole speech for yourselves (it's only twenty minutes or so) and make your own minds up.
NY Democrat Congressman Aided Jihadi In Avoiding “Unwarranted Scrutiny”
One of the biggest problems we have in America comes from public officials aiding and abetting jihad in our own country. While Democrats on the Left are usually the worst offenders, my regular readers know that the rot is on both sides of the aisle.
The New York Post revealed today how Rep. Gregory Meeks of Queens NY used his influence to try to shield from a so-called Muslim scholar from what Meeks called "unwarranted scrutiny" whose charity organizations have been indicted for financing terrorism.
Meeks, a Queens Democrat contacted federal agencies and finally went directly to then-Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to complain about the inquiries and scrutiny Anwar Hajjaj faced when he returned to the United States from trips abroad through JFK Airport.
Hajjaj was more than just a casual traveler. He headed the Taibah International Aid Association, a charity that has been linked to funding al -Qaeda. The group was co-founded by Abdullah A. bin Laden, Osama bin Laden's nephew, who has been directly linked to groups that funding al-Qaeda and Hamas.
Hajjaj is also director of another nonprofit, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth International, or WAMY. It was also founded by Abdullah A. bin Laden and has been linked to funding Islamist terrorism.
Steven Emerson, executive director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, said WAMY has been a financial and ideological supporter of Islamic terrorist organizations. A WAMY publication lists people who have attacked Israeli civilians interrorist operations as "heroes of Palestine" and referred to Jews as "humanity's enemies," according to a 2003 affidavit by a customs special agent. Both organizations were also named as defendants in several ongoing civil lawsuits filed on behalf of families of 9/11 victims.
In fact, just last week US District Court Judge George Daniels refused to dismiss WAMY as a defendant in one of the lawsuits, saying the allegations against the group are "sufficient to demonstrate that they are knowingly and intentionally providing material support to al Qaeda."
And Meeks connection with Hajjaj? Hajjaj was a close friend of Jameel Aalim-Johnson, Meeks' chief of staff from 2006 to early 2008.
Jameel Aalim-Johnson is himself an interesting fellow. An America black who converted to Islam, he is the founder of the Congressional Muslim Staff Members of America (CMSA) and has a history of being heavily involved in bringing Islamist and terrorist-linked individuals to speak on Capitol Hill...a number of whom became very friendly with Rep. Meeks.
Meeks, of course is no stranger to the misuse of tax-exempt charities himself, and is still being investigated over groups he set up that were supposedly raising funds to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina, but ended up merely collecting money and paying virtually nothing to Katrina victims.
Governor Sarah Palin’s Speech at the Reagan Dinner in Des Moines, Iowa
Governor Palin had a few remarks to make at the annual Ronald Reagan Dinner in Iowa a few nights ago - and from what I'm told, people were fighting over tickets.
Here are a few reactions, courtesy of the Des Moines Register, via memeorandum:
“I think she issued a call to arms for Republicans, conservatives and disaffected Americans for the next six weeks to get involved and try to change the course of the country through the mid-term elections.” — Matt Strawn, chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa
“Hopefully, she’ll continue working against the establishment and not necessarily go with it. I think she motivated a lot of people.” — Ryan Rhodes, organizer of the Iowa Tea Party
“It was good to see this kind of a crowd and this kind of enthusiasm. I was in Washington last week. Two words: Anger and fear. It’s all across the country, and people should not fear their country.” — State Rep. Clel Baudler, R-Greenfield, a retired state trooper who visited Washington, D.C., as part of his involvement as a National Rifle Association member
“These people in this room are so excited. They’re going to vote if they have to crawl over broken glass to get there. They’re going to do whatever it takes.” — Dave Funk of Runnells, who earlier this year ran unsuccessfully for his party’s nomination to challenge U.S. Rep. Leonard Boswell and is now running for Polk County supervisor
“I think she’s focused on 2010, like all of us are. I appreciate all that she’s doing to build the Republicans up and get us elected and take back the majority.” — Kim Reynolds, the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor, who was part of a small group who met Palin backstage before the event began
“She gave the crowd lots of red meat, lots of enthusiasm. She dropped all the right names, and hit all the hot buttons. I think she did a great job of motivating. It was an opportunity for her to tell us who Sarah Palin is, what her positions are. But what is the next step for her? She didn’t commit to anything tonight. She joked about it, but we’ll see. It helps her, if she does run.” — Ann Trimble Ray of Early, vice chairwoman of the Sac County Republican Party and adviser to Iowa Congressman Steve King

Yom Kippur,5771
At sunset, Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement starts.
It is a day of fasting, prayer, spiritual reflection and contemplating G-d's judgement.
It's a day that always strikes me with awe and despair...because I know, and G-d knows exactly how imperfect a human being I am. All I can do, as the prayer says, is to ask G-d for understanding, mercy, and the strength to make things right because my good deeds are always too few.
Of course, Yom Kippur is not just about abasement. It is a time of hope, a time to see how to make things right between you and G-d and to persevere as you attempt to purify yourself spiritually.
The above video shows is a dramatization of a prayer said at Rosh Hashana, the New Year, that deals with the nature of G-d's judgment that occurs on this day, Yom Kippur.
May you all be blessed and inscribed.
Gmar Chatima Tova.
Lisa Murkowski To Run As Write In Candidate In Alaska Senate Race
Yes, just another loyal Republican RINO.
Apparently what happened to Charlie Crist taught her zero. She's planning on running as a write-in candidate, which is even dodgier than Crist running as an independent. No wonder the Alaska Libertarian party wouldn't go anywhere near her.
She has absolutely no chance and is merely trying to throw the seat to Democrat McAdams out of sheer spite.
This will and should cost her her position as a member of the Senate's Republican leadership, where she now serves as Senate Republican Conference vice chair.
Even a lot of Murkowski's former supporters aren't going to buy this tantrum. Joe Miller, the choice of Alaska's Republican voters will handily win the Senate seat.
And instead of having the inside track to challenge Democrat Mark Begich in four years Princess Murkowski's political career is going to be over.

The Obama White House's Bold New Idea "Hey, Let's Bash Sarah Palin!!"

In today's Atlantic, political editor Marc Ambinder suggests some new strategy to retrieve the Democrat's sinking fortunes.Forget about bashing minority leader John Boehner - play the Palin card:
Tying the mainstream GOP to the Tea Party is a topic under discussion in the White House. But how? Trying to make John Boehner a foil for the election, or even Jim DeMint, or even Glenn Beck, is like spending half of the amount you've budgeted for a nice wool suit. Instead of Dolce and Gabbana, you wear Kenneth Cole.
There is, in fact, a much better avatar of the Tea Party movement, someone whose very name provokes disgust among Democrats, someone whose name identification is 100 percent and whose ubiquity is extremely useful.
That person is Sarah Palin. All that's required is for the President to utter her name a couple of times.
Looks like Journolist member Ambinder participated in one of those early morning White House briefings of the Vast Left Wing conspiracy, because White House spokeshole Robert Gibbs is already laying the ground to make Sarah Palin the new target, calling her 'the most formidable voice of the Republican Party'.
The Hill plays it up as 'rare praise'. Horse manure. What Gibbs is really saying is 'that Right Wing tea Party wacko Sarah Palin is the Republican party. Booga booga booga!!'
And the rest of Obama's media shills are chiming right in about how Sarah Palin is 'the most prominent Republican' and 'a formidable presence'. Even Mr. Bill took a solo in the new cover version of 'A vote for the GOP is a vote for Palin.'
Well, I'll give the Obama Administration and their pals on the Left this - attempting to demonize Sarah Palin one more time is certainly easier than actually trying to run on their policies and record.
But while it may play in leftist strongholds like Manhattan or Georgetown, for most of the rest of the country it will be seen as a desperate attempt to milk a little more airplay out of the same old song - sorta like the 'Everything is Bush's fault' meme.
And it's an open question whether it will work as well as it used to.At this point, if Sarah Palin borrowed five bucks from a staffer four years ago or forgot to pay a parking ticket back in 1990, it's already been a front page headline in the NYT. There's no new material left!
And have you noticed something? No matter how vicious the personal attacks on her get, Governor Palin keep smiling, reiterating her message and coming back for more. And the more she's attacked, the bigger and more popular she gets. Hopefully, the Left will continue to disparage and underestimate the Arctic Fox.
And ironically, the numbers look like playing the Palin card the seems to have had a positive effect forher. As a matter of fact, according to Rasmussen's latest survey, likely voters say that they share Governor Palin's views versus Obama's by a whopping 52-40%. And while all likely voters are pretty evenly split in their approval ratings of Sarah Palin, sift out the Democrats and 76% of Republicans and 52% of independents now hold a favorable opinion of her. And those are her numbers after an amazingly concerted media campaign demonizing her.
If Obama plans on running in 2012 (and I frankly think he very well might end up not doing so) perhaps the last thing he ought to do is make this a personal referendum on Sarah Palin. It could come back to haunt him.
Democrats Working On Yet Another Economy Killer - An Online Sales Tax

Online sales from retailers like Amazon.Com and E-bay are popular with consumers, and one of the chief attractions is purchases without the necessity of paying an onerous sales tax. In California for instance, those sales taxes can be up to 10% and up.
In an effort to get more of your money to spend, state legislatures are working on implementing and enforcing statutes to collect the tax, but they're hampered in these efforts by a 1992 Supreme Court ruling that businesses are only responsible for adding sales taxes on every sale they make in a state where they have a “physical nexus”. If they have a store, a warehouse, a distribution center, or an office, they're supposed to tack the state’s sales tax onto your bill and remit it to the state.
Amazon, for example, collects sales taxes only in Washington (its home state), Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota and New York.
But the real news is at the Federal level. Retiring Massachusetts Democrat Rep. William Delahunt took time out from his normal Israel bashing to introduce a bill back in July that would give states legal authority to force online retailers to collect and remit taxes on online purchases, no matter where they're based. The bill has significant Democrat support.
Needless to say, implementing this would raise the cost of doing business to online retailers, result in higher prices and fees passed on to the consumer and ultimately less sales and yet another drag on the economy.
This is obviously a warm up to a Federal Value Added Tax(VAT), which has tax and spend politicians literally drooling at the prospect of automatically stealing millions of your hard earned dollars without the necessity of having to take any responsibility for raising taxes at election time.
Just another reason not to vote for a single Democrat or tax and spend RINO in November. They aren't to be trusted.
Cutting Edge Israeli Political Satire - LATMA's Pre-Yom Kippur Edition
A few notes...The Arab character with the big mustache who says he hopes Israelis have a miserable fast and never eat again is a LATMA regular, 'The Palestinian Minister of Continuous Outrage.'
The real name of Peace Now's(Shalom Akshav in Hebrew) director general actually is Yariv Oppenheimer, and yes, he really is that much of a buffoon.
Boneh Aider in his character as the lefty reporter is singing a parody of an Elton John song called "Sorry seems to be the hardest word" - but with different lyrics. Sir Elton, as you may know just flipped the bird not too long ago to a bunch of has been artists pressuring him to boycott the Jewish State and did a series of sold out shows in Israel.
The White Paper briefly referred to as Barack Obama's other book for adults in Israel was the notorious British policy that attempted to defraud Jews out of their homeland by cutting off all Jewish emigration to Palestine in 1939, thus trapping millions of Jews in Europe and contributing greatly to the death toll of the Holocaust.
Watcher's Council Results, Pre-Atonement Edition

The Council has spoken! Here are the results of our weekly Watcher's Council contest.
We had a tie in the Council category this week, which meant that the Watcher chose our winner in accordance with our arcane blood oaths and by laws. So this week's council winner was The Colossus of Rhodey’s Gotta love the hypocrisy, a fine comparison in how the Ruling Class and the dinosaur media treated two manifestations of our First Amendment - Pastor Terry Jones prospective Qu'ran burning and Islamist imam Feisal Rauf's proposed Ground Zero Mosque.
I especially liked our non-council winning post this week, Chandlers Watch‘s Violence: Bible vs Koran … Apples and Oranges.
One of the standard lines one gets about the Qu'ran ( and frequently from people who have never read either book) is that the Bible contains just as much violent rhetoric . Maggie at Chandler's Watch actually analyzed the Islamic trilogy ( Qu'ran, Sira and Hadiths) as opposed to the Hebrew and Christian Bibles and found that the Islamic scriptures have 328,000 words devoted to political violence...as opposed to 34,000 in the Torah and none in the New Testament.
She also points out the huge preponderance of text in the Islamic scriptures devoted to jihad..and charts the explosive growth of Islam from the point where Mohammed began using jihad as an expansion tool.
Here are the full results:

Has Sarah Palin Saved The GOP?

That's the question Paul Goldman, a Democrat political consultant and a former chairman of Virginia's Democratic Party asks in a piece in today's WAPO.
Goldman points out that in spite of all the carping from the GOP establishment, Governor Palin has kept the party strong by keeping the Tea Party inside the GOP tent, instead of encouraging these anti-establishment voters to form a third party and mount insurgent challenges in the the 2010 primaries and in the general-election.
She could very easily have done just that, and put the new party to work on her own political ambitions.
He contrasts her with Teddy Roosevelt in 1912,who, faced with the same circumstances split the party and ran under the Bull Moose Party flag - which enabled Democrat Woodrow Wilson to slither into the White House.
Unlike the GOP establishment, Goldman sees the taking down of several RINOS in the primaries as a necessary sacrifice to keep the Tea Party insurgents in the fold, and he gives Sarah Palin credit for holding things together.
I think he's entirely correct, although Senator Jim DeMint deserves a lot of credit as well...and he's another Republican not so well thought of by the GOP establishment.
The Republican establishment as part of the Ruling Class fails to realize the depth of the anger that the electorate is manifesting these days, directed at both establishment Democrats and Republicans. It's that kind of elitist outlook from both parties that is fueling the Tea Party movement, and Sarah Palin was not only one of the first politicians to tap into that energy but the one who kept it channeled within the Republican Party.
Goldman sees her as a rare "bottom-up," not a "top-down," leader, and one who is trusted by conservative voters, because her word appears to mean something. He's got that right.
Paul Goldman is no Palin fan, as his op-ed makes clear, but he definitely understands her political strengths and appeal and her contribution to the GOP's vastly improved prospects in the midterms.
Ironic that a Democrat political operative who doesn't like her in the least was able to put those feelings aside to assess how important Sarah Palin has been in resurrecting the Republican Party...when a lot of the GOP establishment apparently hasn't.
(A smile and a wave to Soccer Dad, for sending this along.)

Christine O'Donnell Gets The Witch Trial Treatment

Once again, it's important to remember that the Left mostly doesn't really debate. Their specialty is vilification and smear.
That's particularly true when there's someone involved who 'belongs' on the left's groupthink plantation - a woman, a homosexual, a black, a Hispanic..they're always particularly demonized.
Today the Left has told us these important must-know facts about Christine O'Donnell:
Lotsa headlines about how back in 1996, she thought BilClinton should be investigated for Vince Foster's murder. (Actually, that's not what she said, but why let that get in the way of a good hit piece?)
She thinks teenagers might be better served by abstinence education than wholesale distribution of condoms and has some doubts about evolution.
She's a hypocrite because her lesbian sister is campaigning for her, and that shows the cognitive dissonance, hypocrisy and instability of the whole O'Donnell family.
Speaking of gay, there's a story entitled 'My Ex-Gay Life With the Tea Party Queen' written by someone who claims he helped O'Donnell bash gays until he came out of the closet and she 'abandoned' him.
Oh, and O'Donnell was part of the vast Right Wing Conspiracy before it was cool, Tea Party moron that she is.
None of this has anything to do with her ideas on small government, lower taxes, cap and trade, national defense, ObamaCare or anything that has to do with how she might actually govern..but then, that's the idea.
She is running in a state that Obama took handily but where he now has a negative approval rating. And her opponent, Mike Coons supports Obama's agenda to the hilt, which is not what the Left wants to discuss.
Far easier to paint her as some ignorant, unstable wack job and delve into the minute details of her private life... and a swarm of Democrat oppo researchers is swarming into Delaware as I write this.
Rest assured that if Christine O'Donnell borrowed five bucks from a staffer and forgot to repay it or has an unpaid parking ticket, it will rate a headline in the New York Times.
We've seen this before, and quite recently. Luckily for O'Donnell, she's the recipient of some excellent advice from someone who learned it the hard way - Sarah Palin.
Exactly...
Use your common sense and ignore what some of your handlers want you to do.
Go with your gut and talk directly to the American people. Let them know what you stand for.
Use FOX and talk radio to get your message across and ignore the dinosaur media as much as possible - they cannot be relied on to be balanced and fair and will happily lie and use selective edits in any interviews you do with them to feed the democrat narrative.
I'd add one more thing...no matter how vicious the personal attacks get, keep smiling and coming back for more. Again, Sarah Palin is a superb example of that for Christine O'Donnell to follow, and if O'Donnell manages it, there are a lot of people who will see her as someone who's been tested under fire and prevailed.

The Latest Texas Innovation: Deep Fried Beer!!
And no, I ain't kiddin'.
Members of Joshua's Army in the Lone Star State can now enjoy a brand new Texas invention.
The beer is is placed inside a pocket of salty, pretzel-like dough and then fried in in oil at 375 degrees for about 20 seconds, with the short frying time keeping the alcohol in the beer from from cooking away. The taste of the hot beer then mixes with the taste of pretzel dough.
I guess it's sort of like a beer fondue.
Even better, one could stick jalapenos in the dough or the oil...
Whoo hoo! Science!
