Carnival is more my scene (the music's better, for one thing) but far be it from me to deprive you of scenes of another one of the world's great parties, now celebrating its 200th birthday - Oktoberfest in Munich:
Beer, pretty girls, and a party setting. What more could you ask? This goes on for sixteen days, until October 3rd.
Munich's mayor taps the opening kegger.
How things look after a few recitations of 'eins, drei supfe!'
Don't ask me how she's holding up all those pints!
Some good friends sharing a few drinks and a moment
Inside one of the beer tents.
A merry go round in front of St. Paul's Church. Hopefully the riders can hold their beer n' bratwurst, if you know what I mean.
And of course, after the festivities, it's always nice to take a rest and sleep it off a bit before returning to the fray...
Glücklich Oktoberfest!

Damn! Wish I was there!
I was there on Saturday. Fun times.
One of those pictures reminded me of "Why thank you Herr Professor."
