Head Fake - The New Senate 'Border Control ' Amendment is A Total Fraud

The latest chapter in the Gang of Eight amnesty bill involves a 'compromise' amendment on border control supposedly designed to address concerns of Senate Republicans and get them some cover to line up behind amnesty.

The amendment, put out by Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) and John Hoeven (R-ND) is one of the most bogus legislative shams I've ever seen, let alone seen grown men propose. It's sole purpose is not border security, but what amounts to a political condom to allow Senators who vote for amnesty to go home and say 'hey, I voted for greater border security' while still indulging themselves with the prostitute called amnesty.

The bill does nothing at all for border security. It establishes '90% apprehension' as a goal, not a hard trigger, without even defining what apprehension actually consists of, or who would make that determination that the 'goal' has been met... the Secretary of Homeland Security, Congress, or some other administrative agency. It calls for the hiring of 20,000 new border patrol agents without any concrete requirements on when that happens or how they're going to be used. And - wait for it- it restates the desirability of actually doing something that is already U.S. law, the building of a 700 mile border fence.

You might remember that one. It was a bill signed into law by President Bush and is supposedly the law of the land. A grand total of 36 miles were completed before democrats gained control of Congress in 2006 and stopped the project dead in its tracks.

None of this holds up the legalization of illegal aliens here in America. As I pointed out earlier, that even includes criminals.

There's a major rush going on in the Senate to stampede this through.I'm guessing it's because of a new report from the Congressional Budget Office that the amnesty bill is only going to decrease the flow of illegal aliens into America by about 25%. Here's a quote directly from the report itself:

"Unauthorized residents would find it harder both to enter the country and to find employment while unauthorized. However, other aspects of the bill would probably increase the number of unauthorized residents — in particular, people overstaying their visas issued under the new programs for temporary workers," the CBO report said, adding that the net annual flow of unauthorized residents would decrease by about 25 percent compared to current law.

The CBO report also says that the amnesty bill will grow the deficit, increase unemployment and reduce the wages of American workers for the next decade.

More legal Hispanic immigrants get this than you might think. They instinctively get that it's a housekeeper, a nanny, a delivery driver or an elder care giver earning between $35,000 and $40,000 or so per year with benefits that's going to have to compete with one of the unskilled newly legalized 'immigrants' willing to work for 40% less with worse working conditions.

It's simple to figure out how this is supposed to work. The amnesty gets passed first. No fines or back taxes are going to be collected because the illegal aliens will plead poverty and aren't going to claim income they made off the books for the privilege of paying taxes on it. Would you?

They will definitely be able to receive ObamaCare as well as all other social welfare benefits. As legal residents, they can't be denied, not should they be.

And almost as soon as they're legalized, the next push will be to speed up that path top citizenship so they can vote. Can't you just hear the president or Senator Schumer whining, 'they're living here, they're on a path to citizenship, why can't they vote?'.

The process will finish with chain migration and family unification. If there are 11.5 million illegal aliens here, count on that number increasing to25 or 20 million once that process gets started.

This is 'hope and change' none of us were even asked if we wanted. It's time it ended..ya basta, enough.

Any congressman that votes for this of whatever party is not only unworthy of public trust and public office, but should be shunned, insulted and jeered at in public on the streets of America as the self-seeking weasel he or she is.
