- Palestinian First Grade Teacher Saadiya Abu Saud, who went to school to greet her pupils on the first day of school in spite of a Palestinian teacher's strike over unpaid wages orchestrated by Abbas and Fatah to put pressure on Hamas to form a unity government.
"It's the first day of school. The children needed someone to greet them. ... I don't support the strike," she said.
