Sarah Palin Takes Aim At Obama On Israel..

You go, Governor...here's what Sarah 'Cuda had to say on the matter:

The Obama Administration reaches out to some of the world’s worst regimes in the name of their engagement policy. America and our allies watch as sanctions are eased on Cuba. Letters are written to Iran’s mullahs only to see that regime start killing protestors in the streets of Tehran. Envoys are sent to North Korea as they continue to defy the world’s demand to give up their nuclear weapons. The Burmese military junta’s representative is allowed to travel to our nation's capital. The President’s envoy for Sudan talks about giving that genocidal regime “gold stars,” while the President shakes hands with Venezuela’s tyrannical leader. In the midst of all this embracing of enemies, where does the Obama Administration choose to escalate a minor incident into a major diplomatic confrontation? With Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea or Burma? No. With our treasured ally, Israel.

Last October, Secretary of State Clinton recognized Israel's desire for peace in the Middle East and praised Israel's “unprecedented” concessions for agreeing to halt settlement construction in the West Bank, a concession that did NOT include halting construction of apartments for Jews in Jerusalem. Even last week after planned construction was announced, Vice President Biden still expressed “appreciation” for the “significant” steps taken by the Israeli government to address this minor issue. Now, however, we see the Obama Administration has decided to escalate, make unilateral demands of Israel, and threaten the very foundation of the US-Israel relationship. This is quickly leading to the worst crisis in US-Israel relations in decades, and yet this did not have to happen. More importantly, it needs to stop before it spirals out of control. Vice President Biden should rein in the overheated Obama Administration rhetoric and chill the political spin masters' fire as they visit the Sunday media shows to criticize Israel.

Once again, the Obama Administration is missing the boat on a very, very important issue. They need to go back to the basics and acknowledge Palestinian leaders have not progressed any peace process since President Obama was elected. As Israel makes concessions (and is still criticized by the Obama Administration), Arab leaders are just sitting back waiting for the White House to further pressure Israel. The Obama Administration needs to open its eyes and recognize that it is only Iran and her terrorist allies that benefit from this manufactured Israeli controversy. Vice President Biden was actually right when he said last week, before the construction announcement, that “one necessary precondition for progress is that the rest of the world knows...there is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to security.” Right now, thanks to the Obama Administration, there is a chasm. It's time for President Obama to push the reset button on our relations with our ally Israel.

You go Gov. You know the only reason the Jewish community rejects Palin is because in their leftist views, she had a "nerve" to keep her disabled baby. (not just my view Krauthammer voiced the same opinion)

Well here's one Jew that is glad for people like Sarah Palin. Both for her basic American values and her good old fashioned common sense.

Viva La Cuba! We should have eased sanctions under Clinton years ago. Not every revolution has to have hardship and bloodshed. Especially with Venezuela and Chavez trying to fill the roll of Communist big brother.
Israel is doing exactly what it has to do to insure 3 years of little progress with the Pals- then maybe a more sympathetic US Prez will take over?

Hello IP I totally concur.
I had the opportunity to meet Governor Palin and spend a little time with her in Alaska before she went national. She's the real deal.

Mornin' Cynic!

RE: Cuba - as I'm sure you're aware, there are a lot of Americans of Cuban heritage that disagree with you...

RE: Israel - I refuse to endorse apartheid for Jews by deligitimizing their communities just because they happen to have been built in Judea or Samaria( AKA the West Bank). They've been there for years, they didn't displace anyone and they have every right to live wherever they damned well please in peace.

I also don't buy that Israel is the key to the lack of progress.Instead, it is the Arab refusal to live next to Jews in peace and equality.

The Obama Administration made a big deal harshly condemning what amounted to a zoning decision in Israel's capitol, Jerusalem. A couple of months ago Netanyahu agreed to implement a temporary building freeze in all parts of Judea and Samaria except Jerusalem, and Sec. Clinton actually praised this at the time as 'a significant concession.'

They are simply proving to the Israeli public that Obama and his cohorts are biased and not to be trusted...as well as making the Arabs more hardline and less inclined to compromise in any way.

BTW, the day after Joe Biden left, the 'Palestinian Authority' held a ceremony in Ramallah to rename the main public square in honor of Dalal Mughrabi, the woman who in 1978 helped carry out a deadly terrorist attack that that left 38 Israeli civilians dead, 13 of them children as well as several Americans. Mahmoud Abbas was present, and he and his Fatah henchmen made speeches honoring Mughrabi.

That's something the White House didn't see fit to condemn.Nor did you see it reported in places like the NYT.

Rob

Israel and the American people are just going to have to wait it out...It's only three more years. Hopefully there will be something left of America and a great man of Reagan's caliber to turn things around. 'Till then, well there's Jameson and Guinness today!

this doesn't have anything to do with israel. it has to do with how dumb these former advesaries are. all hussein wants is to curry favor with these world thugs so he can be secretary general.
i personally can't see why iran would even bother to build a bomb with someone like hussein in the oval office. no one would say a word if iran attacked israel. but israel would retaliate. who is israel gonna retaliate against when hussein pulls the plug?
and all that will do is make his numbers go up in polling of US joos.

Enjoy, Rosie!

Hi Louie, ,
Actually, I don't think it's a matter of Obama pulling the plug.I'll have more on this later, but the Administration's actions may very well have freed Netanyahu up - he now realizes that no mater what he tries to do,placating Obama is not an option.

As for Obama's standing with American Jooos, a number of them are still brain dead. But a significant amount are waking up.

You have to remember that a lot of Zero's Jewish votes came from elderly Jews like my mother who are lifelong Dems, who still think they're voting for FDR and were thrilled with the idea of voting for a black president.

However, a lot of them are also pro-Israel and resent having been fooled by this Chicago huckster.

As for the rest, they @!!@#! deserve to vote for Zero.

Rob
