Just Another Example For Those Who Claim The Dinosaur Media Isn't Biased
Here's Norah O'Donnell, not some newbie reporter but the award winning Chief CBS News White House Correspondent, supposedly one of the more professional people in the room talking to White House press secretary Jay Carney about the proposed debt ceiling bill...
Norah O'Donnell: "You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing!"
Jay Carney: "We've taken this question two or three times already ..."
Notice how this 'unbiased' professional reporter phrased her question; 'WE got nothing'. Any doubt where her bias lies?
Nothing new, either. O'Donnell caught a lot of criticism for her bullying attack on a 17-year-old Sarah Palin fan at a book signing back in 2009 and one one of those unbiased reporters flacking the 'Rush Limbaugh is a racist' meme.
FTR, O'Donnell came to CBS from MSNBC, where she was a regular feature on Chris Matthews' show. Enough said.
Journalism used to have certain standards once upon a time. If nothing else, people were more professional about not letting their blatant Leftist bias show.

You need to listen more closely.
Carney is talking over, but she clearly says:
"But you hear Democrats saying 'You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing."
She's speaking from the point of view of the liberals who feel betrayed. I'm sure she may sympathizes with that sentiment, but what she said wasn't a slipup. It was just the right wing hearing what they wanted to hear.
Anonymous, I listened pretty carefully a couple of times, and as far as I'm concerned YOU'RE the one that's hearing what you want to hear.
Not only that, but if you listen to the entire clip of O'Donnell, and listen to her tone and how the 'question' is framed, she makes her bias obvious. Why would she be assuming the 'Democrat's voice' anyway? Is that how a news professional operates?
BTW, I let this one through for sheer entertainment value and as an example to my readers of how the Left will try and spin absolutely anything.

Uh, listen to about 10 minutes of Limbaugh or Hannity and see how many times they assume the voice of their side or the other. Posing a hypothetical is one of the oldest forms of rhetoric and has been a journalistic tool since journalism was invented. Do I need to find one of many examples of Reagan saying "My opponents say..."? You'd look a fool. And because of that alone, you'll never share this comment with your readers. Jesus, you suck at critical thinking.

Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are commentators not journalists who are members of the White House press corps!.
And President Reagan was a sitting President, not a journalist who is supposed to present a balanced report of the news!
