Clean sweep For GOP in VA - Christie Wins In NJ

Two down, one to go..

In a race that President Obama invested heavily in, Chris Christie has been elected to the governorship of New Jersey, with 50 percent of the vote compared to 44 percent for Corzine. Independent candidate Chris Daggett was at about 5 percent.

In Virginia, the GOP scored a clean sweep in the statewide races, with McDonnell grabbing a huge 18 point victory over Deeds in a state Obama won in 2008 by 7 points.

The big news? The independents broke solidly for the Republicans...not good news for Barack Obama and the Democrats.

New York 24 is still too close to call. with 33% of the precincts counted, Owens(D) has 23,799, Hoffman (C) 22,188 and Scuzzyfuzzy has 2,489 or 5%.
