Obama Slurs Limbaugh And McCain With Spanish Speaking Ads

Being a liar is one thing.It's another thing entirely to be both a liar and to be absolutely awful at it.

Barack Hussein Obama repeatedly gives us an example of category number 2.

The latest from the Obama campaign is a series of TV and radio ads in Spanish geared towards Hispanics in the states of Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico entitled 'Dos Caros' ( two faces ):




"They want us to forget the insults we've put up with, the intolerance," the television ad's announcer says in Spanish as a picture of Rush Limbaugh appears onscreen with quotes of him saying, "Mexicans are stupid and unqualified" and "Shut your mouth or get out."

"They made us feel marginalized in a country we love so much," the ad continues. "John McCain and his Republican friends have two faces. One that says lies just to get our vote and another, even worse, that continues the failed policies of George Bush that put special interests ahead of working families."

The companion radio ad uses the same script and then continues:"Don't forget that John McCain abandoned us rather than confront the leaders of the Republican Party. Many of us were born here, and others came to work and achieve a better life for their families -- not to commit crimes or drain the system like many of John McCain's friends claim."

"Let's not be fooled by political tricks from John McCain and the Republicans. Vote so they respect us. Vote for a change."

For starters, both of the Rush Limbaugh quotes are bogus and taken hugely out of context.

The first one, the 'stupid Mexicans' quote comes from way back in 1993 when Limbaugh was warning about the effects on American jobs from NAFTA.

Limbaugh said,"If you are unskilled and uneducated, your job is going south. Skilled workers, educated people are going to do fine 'cause those are the kinds of jobs NAFTA is going to create. If we are going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people, I'm serious, let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do -- let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work."

Not all that gracefully phrased, and I wouldn't have said it quite like that but in context, Rush Limbaugh was totally correct; NAFTA had a chilling effect on unskilled and teenage part time labor in America, and those jobs are now gone-along with a lot of skilled jobs - and being done by unskilled, largely uneducated low wage Hispanics.

To lift this out of context to maske it look as though Limbaugh was merely slurring Hispanics is dishonest race politics, exactly what we've come to expect from the official Post Racial Candidate.

The second quote is totally off the wall, and I can testify to this because I heard it myself. Rush was doing one of his typical bits on the air, talking about immigration law and said:“Everybody's making immigration proposals these days. Let me add mine to the mix. Call it The Limbaugh Laws:“First: If you immigrate to our country, you have to speak the native language. You have to be a professional or an investor; no unskilled workers allowed.

Also, there will be no special bilingual programs in the schools with the Limbaugh Laws. No special ballots for elections. No government business will be conducted in your language. Foreigners will not have the right to vote or hold political office.

If you're in our country, you cannot be a burden to taxpayers. You are not entitled to welfare, food stamps, or other government goodies. You can come if you invest here: an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. If not, stay home.

But if you want to buy land, it'll be restricted. No waterfront, for instance. As a foreigner, you must relinquish individual rights to the property.“And another thing: You don't have the right to protest. You're allowed no demonstrations, no foreign flag waving, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our President or his policies. You're a foreigner: shut your mouth or get out! And if you come here illegally, you're going to jail.

You think the Limbaugh Laws are harsh? Well, every one of the laws I just mentioned are actual laws of Mexico today! That' how the Mexican government handles immigrants to their country. Yet Mexicans come here illegally and protest in our streets!“How do you say ‘double standard’ in Spanish? How about: ‘No mas!’”

Even stranger is the idea of linking McCain with Rush Limbaugh to try and show bias towards Hispanics. Limbaugh has been nothing but critical of McCain for quite some time, as anyone who listens to his show can testify.

McCain's main 'sin' in this regard is changing his tune after nearly losing the GOP nomination over this issue.He still favors immigration reform, but now says he's 'listened to the voters' and the borders must be secured before anything else happens.

What the Obama campaign is doing is stirring up racial hatred and quoting McCain out of context and unfairly to manipulate Hispanics into thinking that McCain is racist and anti-Hispanic.And some people, both Hispanic and non-Hispanic unfortunately will be stupid enough to buy this horse manure.

Maybe Hispanics thinking in terms of racial politics about this should consider, generally speaking, who's been fairer and more supportive of them - black politicians or white ones? Any Hispanic who's seen how America's urban black politicians tend to treat them knows the answer to that one.

Once again, Elmer-Gantry-with-a-tan has come up with a real whopper that's easily disproved, ot the point where it's embarrassing. Hell, I'm embarrased he's not embarrassed.Obama, supposedly campaigning on the idea that he's going to unite America is willing once again to play the race card to try and chisel himself some votes.

In a word, disgusting.
