Airline Passengers?

Trust the Israelis to make a joke out of this...Menachem Jerenberg in the Jerusalem Post.

I think one could use that as a timeline of when people gave up flying. I started getting stroppy about the restrictions between 2001 and 2006.

It was then compounded by Uncle Sam's unwarranted habit of forcing transit passengers to "enter" the USA, so that he could take their finger-prints before allowing onward flight. That was an outward UK - NZ flight. I was NOT going to submit to that on the way back so I threw away the return portion of the non-refundable, non-transferable ticket, and bought a single to go back the other way, via Hong Kong. Shame, when I retire in a few years time I was looking forward to travelling around the USA. That is certainly out. And as I am not going to be strip searched, with detailed body images kept for ever I don't think I am going to be flying at all. Yes I know that they spout privacy; I don't believe them. While the images currently on the web are not all that detailed, when these technologies were first advertised, they showed a lot more detail, even to the extent of knowing for certain whether the man was circumcised or not!

Just for security? What would certain evil men have made of that capability? (Sorry, Godwin!)

Mah Na Meem, Ilona..the difference is that America is looking for stuff like bottled water and hair gel on anybody, so as not to offend Muslims.

Israel is simply looking for terrorists, and their knowing or unknowing accomplices.
