Huge! Qatar Expels Brotherhood's Sheik Qaradawi, Hamas Leader Mesha'al

The coup in Egypt has already had an effect on the Muslim Brotherhood and the Caliphate.

The emirate of Qatar reacted to Wednesday's events by stripping Sheik Qaradawi, the Brotherhood's spiritual leader of his citizenship, closing down all Brotherhood offices and expelling Qaradawi and Hamas leader Khalid Mesha'al from the country.

The link's in Arabic..here's a loose translation, adjusted so it makes more sense in English:

Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa second, the Emir of Qatar, on Tuesday evening, said that Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi must leave the country, and ordered the withdrawal of Qatari nationality from him, and the closure of all offices of the Muslim Brotherhood in order of state policy not to choose a political faction or movement. Confirmed Prince Tamim, in an interview, we are all Muslims, but not the Muslim Brotherhood, and are dealing with matters of State and Government and not allied with any political faction. Al-Nahar reported that Prince Tamim gave Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal, 48 hours to leave the country.

The Emir has always been a huge supporter of the Brotherhood, until now. As a matter of fact, Sheik Qaradawi (a foul, genocidal maniac who is not allowed into the U.S. for very good reasons) is (or was) a major star on al-Jazeera, which is owned by the Emir and his family.I have a feeling his show has been cancelled for lack of a sponsor, as they say in showbiz.

Mesha'al is the political head of Hamas, who took refuge in Qatar after he was forced to leave Syria by Assad after the Syrian Civil War broke out and Hamas refused to send fighters to his aid.

You can expect Qatar to cease all financial support for the Brotherhood as well.Deposed Egyptian president Morsi and his friends made a few too many friendly overtures to Iran, which put them on the wrong side of the Sunni-Shi'ite war led by Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Now that Wednesday's coup removed them from power, expect Qatar and Saudi Arabia to establish ties to the Egyptian junta and support it financially. The Brotherhood has now been revealed as a weak horse, and we know what happens to weak horses uin this part of the world.

This is absolutely huge, and very good news for the West.

thanks for posting this!! I was told about this from an Arabic news source but couldn't find anything in English. (WEAK)

wonder if he was rounded up too with the recent crackdown in Egypt?

already repercussions in Gaza, not to mention the problems the AKP are facing in Turkey. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4401119,00.html

The problem in Turkey is that Erdogan had more time and was smarter than Morsi.

The Turkish military and the courts have pretty much been packed with AKP loyalists.

But we can at least hope...especially as Turkey's huge economic bubble continues to inflate.

MB in general and Khaled Meshaal in particular did not study how monarch of arab play a political game in middle east. He should realise all the monarch including Qatar, Saudi etc are following US as their master. What the master does, they follow. When Morsi won as a president, the US asked the arab king to support Morsi. That was Qatar give plenty of promise to help egypt economy. Helping Morsi mean helping MB including Khaled Meshaal. They seem want to help. Actually what the US and arab king do was to calm the MB rising to dominate middle east. But when the US found a way to depose Morsi, all the king will follow what the master istructed. Al-Sisi who ousted Morsi must be helped. Then all the king obliged to help Al-Sisi. Helping Al-Disi meant to reject MB and Morsi. That was why now Qaradawi oand Khaleed Meshaal also affected. Qatar definitely choosed the US instead MB. The conspiracy is simple to be understood.
