the nemanzee article just lists his connections to major dimocrats.
i thought i read somewheres that this guy was hillary's national campaign treasurer.
if true, the for profit media article seems to have left that out and just mentioned several connections as just an "only" in the article.

You're correct. Aside from being a major Obama fundraiser, he was the National Finance Chair for Hillary Clinton for President in 2008, the National Finance Chair for Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), and the
New York Finance Chair for John Kerry for President 2002 -2004.
He's also the Chairman of The Iranian-American Political Action Committee (IAPAC).
