I absolutely loved this photo of Marc Savard of the Boston Bruins at Boston's TD Garden handing his stick to a young fan after Game One of the Eastern Conference Semifinals during the 2010 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Philadelphia Flyers.

And yeah, the Bruins won, with Savard scoring the game winner to help the Bruins beat the Flyers 5-4 in overtime.

Believe it or not, professional athletes used to routinely act this way, especially when kids were involved.

Cheerfully swiped from my pal Jimmy Bise Jr. over at the Sundries Shack.

please helps me write more gooder!

You mean no dogfighting, illegal guns, killing pregnant girlfriends, accusations of rape...just good old fashioned play and honor. Wow. And they said hockey is the violent sport...what gives?
