The Council has spoken! A complete rundown of the winning entries is here.
First, as promised earlier this week, a major announcement...Our roving hosting will soon be coming to an end. Terry Trippany, the creator of Webloggin, and a frequent contributor to Newsbusters will be the new Watcher. He should be taking over his duties in a week or two. I'm sure I speak for the entire Council in saying that we're excited to have him associated with our group and heartily welcome Terry aboard.
And now(drum roll...) the winning entries in the Watcher's Council vote for this week are :
Among the Council members, Soccer Dad for Hating israel more than loving palestinians carried off the honors. This was an excellent fisking of a particularly idiotic NYT column on Israel by Nicholas Kristof.
Tied for second were “Ich Bin Ein Beginner!” from right here, my take on Obama's Berlin escapade and Bookworm Room for Nobody here but us biased chickens a fine beat down on the biased L.A. Times.
Also getting votes was Hillbilly White Trash for China.
In the Non-Council category, we had a tie which hostess Ms. Bookworm broke, as per our bylaws. The winner was Investor’s Business Daily for Barack Obama’s Stealth Socialism.
My own nominee, Jay Cost came in second for On Obama’s Message.
A shout out to Bookworm Room for a superb job in hosting the Council this week. Next week's host of the council vote is scheduled to be The Razor...and as always, congratulations not only to the winners, but to the participants.
