Sarah Palin In The Holy Land

Governor Palin and her husband Todd have spent the last couple of days on their first trip to Israel.Fittingly enough, it corresponded with Purim, a holiday that celebrates another heroic woman, Esther.

The video above shows the Palins in a private dinner they had with the Netanyahus. Before leaving, Palin signed the Prime Minister’s residence guestbook and wrote: “Such an amazing country! G-d bless you. May our connection continue to grow and strengthen.”

During her visit, Governor Palin and her husband visited the Kotel, where she inserted her own private prayer into the Wall. Likud MK Danny Danon and Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz served as Palin’s guides on Sunday night. It was explained to Governor Palin that Jews were not allowed to pray openly on the Temple Mount.

“Why are you apologizing all the time?” Palin reportedly asked her guides.Rabbi Rabinowitz also shared the story of Purim with the Governor, who likewise grasped the symbolism and told him it was especially meaningful to be at the Kotel on Purim.

The Palins also toured the Mount of Olives and Christian sites in Jerusalem on Monday before heading off to dinner with the Netanyahus.

The Governor said this was a personal visit and she deliberately wanted to keep things low key, but promised to return for a week-long visit later on.

I have a feeling she'll be quite welcome.

I think you need to move the decimal point over two places Louie. Bammy is not at all popular in Israel.

Seriously? This woman wants to be president of the United States and this is what she wears to one of the holiest sites in the world. Where is the respect?

Are you serious AR? I certainly don't feel 'disrespected' , and I doubt the Orthodox Rabbi who was her guide did either.

Actually, if you've ever been, you know that the only faux paux at a place like the Kotel is something like a bikini, shorts or a bare midriff.

If you simply don't like Governor Palin, fine. But try to come up with , you know, an actual reason rather than innate prejudice.

AR, i'm curious about something.
let's say you are the current occupant of the white house. let's say you attack a foreign country without congressional debate/mandate.
what are you gonna do next?
jet off to south america and play soccer?
which one of the 57 states were you born in?

I have a great idea as to how Jews can pray at the Temple Mount. Simply kick the damn Muslims out of the country. Problem solved.

Wow, I don't believe this. I was just getting ready to bookmark this post and share it on Facebook, but guess what happened? I changed my mind and cancelled it, because-get ready for it-you know how they have a little paragraph from the post that they lead with on Facebook? Well guess what would have lead from this post.

AR's comment. No, I am not kidding. This was what showed-

What the hell? Has it gotten to the point that sites are designed to pick out anti-Palin garbage and promote it even on pro-Palin posts? Unbelievable.
