Burka Ban To Go Into Effect In France
France's top constitutional authorities have ruled that the French legislation to ban the burqa and other Islamic face coverings being worn in public places meets all legal tests, which means the ban can become part of French law.
France is the first European country to nationally ban Islamic face coverings in this way. The law goes into effect this spring and has an approval rating among the French public of of more than four to one, with 82 percent of people polled approving of the ban, while 17 percent disapproved.
I wouldn't be surprised to see other European countries adopt similar laws.
Aside from the obvious national security benefits, the ban marks the beginning of a long struggle to liberate Muslim women in France...although I expect that France's Islamists will attempt to keep the burqa and niqab in force under threat of beatings or mutilation, at least in the no go areas in France's cities they control.

It is always amazing when France has more backbone than the US.
Marianne rises ! If you've ever seen Delacroix's painting of the female ' topless ' ( -- that should enrage & infuriate & anger the misogynistic, effeminate Mahommetans ! -- ) Marianne, symbol of the French Republic, you'll fathom the suitability of the allusion ! Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite !

Vive L'Marianne! Elle est en effet La France.
The French rooster crows over the dawn of a new, reawakened France !
