Jane Fonda Says 'Awfully Sorry About the Jew Hatred'

Jane Fonda, Danny Glover, David Byrne and a host of the usual suspects lent their names and whatever prestige they have to an anti-Semitic `protest' at the Toronto Film Festival because the festival committed the crime of actually highlighting the Tel Aviv, Israel. They accused the Festival in a vile letter of "complicity with the Israeli propaganda machine" and called Israel an apartheid nation comparable to South Africa.

Well, um...Jane's sorry,y'know:

"I signed the letter without reading it carefully enough, without asking myself if some of the wording wouldn't exacerbate the situation rather than bring about constructive dialogue.{...}

Some of the words in the protest letter did not come from my heart, words that are unnecessarily inflammatory: The simplistic depiction of Tel Aviv as a city "built on destroyed Palestinian villages," for instance, and the omission of any mention of Hamas's 8-month-long rocket and mortar attacks on the town of Sderot and the western Negev to which Israel was responding when it launched its war on Gaza."

Don't you love it? ‘Oh I didn’t read it, I just signed..'

Puh-leeze. This woman's been in show business all these years and all of a sudden she signs stuff without reading it? That sounds like she's been hanging out with Van Jones. Only he was better at lying, frankly.

What happened is that even in Hollywood, some people have their limits. She apparently got a lot of negative feedback and decided to leverage things a bit.

She was a tool during the Vietnam War and then claimed afterwards that she just didn’t realize what she were doing or the effect it would have. Same nonsense here. She hasn’t changed one bit.

Oh and by the way, in her 'apology' she supports a 'settlement freeze', which means she approves of preventing Jews from living in peace where they want to, just because they happen to be Jews.

So much for that. What a truly pathetic human being.
