Bali bomb mastermind to be set free by Indonesia

Ahhhhhh yes. Another innocent victim from the Religion of Peace.

Abu Bakar Bashir is one of the heads and a founding member of the al Qaeda offshoot Jemaah Islamiya, their so-called `spiritual leader'. He was found guilty in March 2005 of conspiracy in connection with the Bali night club bombings in October 2002. He's been in custody now for not quite 30 months.

The Indonesian government, which has become increasingly Islamist has freed him on early release, as I predicted, and his pals in Jemaah Islamiya are all set to welcome him outside the prison when he walks free. Needless to say the Australians are outraged. Any civilized person would be.

Jemaah Islamiya has been behind a number of operations in Indonesia, including two suicide attacks in Jakarta and the 2002 and 2005 Bali bombings. These attacks took place while Abu Bakar Ba'asyir was in prison, but given the fact that he's had relatively free access to visitors and telephones, that doesn't mean much.

To get an idea of who this person is and how he thinks,go here.

Abu Bakar Bashir says he wants to go back to `teaching' claims he was the victim on an American-inspired plot to undermine Islam.

Of course.
