Chris Coons In Delaware: "I'm Not Getting TheTurnout I Expected"

http://boweeb.ipower.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Christine_ODonnell-WITCH.jpg

Whoopsie!

It seems Coons campaign manager Christy Gleason sent out a nooner to supporters saying close monitoring of voter turnout in the state’s 41 representative districts showed “lower turnout in New Castle and Kent counties than we’re comfortable with.”

New Castle County is the populous north part of the state - and where Chris Coons' strength is. Christine O'Donnell's strength is in the other two counties, Kent and Sussex.

This is not a done deal by any means.....

please donate...it helps me write more gooder!

"Not a done deal by any means..."

This is one of the most informative blogs on the internet overall. Please continue the excellent work!!

Now one of the other reasons I read this blog is because, man I love your optimisim, however, sometimes it gets a bit to much to handle. This is one of those times.

Personally I like Ms. Odonnel but I'm sorrt to say it but this race is over. In fact, it has been for a long time.

As I've pointed out here and elsewhere, in order to defeat a Democrat you are going to need at least a 10 point lead going into the election. Ms. O'donnel does not have that kind of lead. In fact, I don't think she has a lead at all. Also, in the event of a close race, you are going to need money to mount a court challenge or to defend your position in court. Mr. Coons can count on such support. Ms. O'donnel cannot. I don't think her campaign has the money to do this and the RNC leadership would just as soon castrate themselves before they'd help her get into Congress!!

Also, there is an intangible factor. We already know where the media will come down on this. In the event of a court challenge, there may not be many judges that will want to face the wrath of the news media and other elites should they decide in favor of Ms. O'donnel even if she could get the funding to mount an effective court challenge, which I don't envsion how she can.

Sorry to say as much as I might like her this one's over. Optimism is healthy but to much is simply to much. Otherwise please continue the excellent work.

Now, if I'm wrong about this one, I'll certainly come here and admit it.: I actually hope I am wrong, but I'm not.
