Watcher's Council Results, 10/06/06

The Council has spoken! Complete results can be found here on the site of our fearless leader, Watcher of Weasels

The Watcher had to break a three way tie for first in Council Posts this week.
The winner was :

Gates of Vienna: “Peace” and War on an Autumn Afternoon Dymphna's exploration of the various sights and sounds seen at a park in her native Virginia at two very different celebrations. As she quite aptly puts it, they occurred`across a chasm so vast no bridge long enough could be engineered to span the differences between the two groups.' Congrats, Dymph!

Second place was shared by:

J O S H U A P U N D I T: The horrors of Club Gitmo...and Camp Pendleton My comparison of how the guests at our tropical resort at Club Gitmo are treated as compared with another group of 8 guests of the government being held in very different circumstances at Camp Pendleton, some people who were willing to die to protect us, rather than die to murder us. In the recent debate about treatment of Islamic terrorists, I think it's instructive to look at how the second group is being treated compared to the first. Enjoy the pix.

And the never to be missed ShrinkWrapped: There Are No Words who wrote a brilliant post using the tragedy of the Amish school killings to make a point about dealing with grief and loss - and more importantly, how society is failing to socialize its children, especially males. Great job, Shrinks.

For Non-Council, the runaway winner was my nominee, (and I think, Dymphna's) Rants and Raves: Observations on Arabs, which sparked a mini-firestorm here when I wrote a piece on it.

Second place for non-Council was Gagdad Bob's One Cosmos: On Perversions, Pedophiles, and the Homophobes of the Left

Hearty Kudos to all the winners!!
