UN to Israel: `Any complaints? Call a cop'

Curiouser and curiouser, in the Looking Glass world of the UN.

Kofi Annan accussed Israel of violating the UN cease-fire by raiding Baalbek last week and taking out some newly shipped Hezbollah arms shiped through Syria.

Under the terms of the ceasefire, there is supposed to be an arms embargo to Hezbollah and the Lebanon/Syria border is supposed to be patrolled by UNFIL and the Lebanese Army.

Annan had one of his head stoodges,Middle East Envoy Terje Larsen (you know, the main spokeshole for the so-called `Jenin Massacre'that never happened) make a formal complaint to Israel to Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni during their meeting in Jerusalem Monday.

"If you discovered arms smuggling, you could have complained through diplomatic channels," Larsen told Livni.

"We will consider that route as well," Livni reportedly replied.

Lesee....Israel discovers missiles being shipped from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah, Israel makes a complaint to the UN, the UN follows up a week or so later and tells Israel they `failed to find anything'...cased closed.

As if Israel could expect that the UN is actually going to do anything to keep Hezbollah from rearming!
