Not only did Condi Rice meet with the terorists in Fatah's Tanzim.
but, as an update, the Bush Administration now wants to give Abbas $20M of your money to bolster his thugs in Force 17.
All because the Bush Administration wants to look good to people like the Saudis and the anti-Israel EU and continue to send your taxpayer dollars down the Palestinian rathole without actually breaking US law by funding a terrorist government, they are actively working to subvert the Palestinian democracy by supporting Arafat II because he's better at hiding his real agenda - eliminating Israel.
So much for all that horse manure Bush and Condi put out on the Bush Doctrine and `Arab democracy'.

Thanks for reminding people. I’ve been furious at Condi’s continual backdoor approach to funding people who hate us, our values, and our friends. Didn’t we learn the mistake when we supported Arafat? Apparently, not!
For 50 years we in the West have supported terrorists and terrorist supporters in the West Bank (either directly or through the U.N.) We still haven't learned. This is truly infuriating.
Just playing the devil's advocate here, but perhaps Condi hopes that Fatah can offset Hezbollah and Hamas?
Hi Jason, Nazar,
First of all Nazar, in terms of ultimate goals, there is NO DIFFERENCE between Fatah and Hamas..they both want Israel destroyed and they both hate America.
Second, isn't this EXACTLY the same nonsense we employed with Arafat, as Jason said?
Keep in mind that Abbas was along for the entire ride with Arafat.
This is just another attempt by the Bush Administration to curry favor with the Saudis and other Arab nations and with the anti-Israel EU - at a loyal ally's expense.
Hey ff, remember how Nixon played the USSR against Communist China? That was genius. Both those countries wanted to spread communism, they had similiar goals, my guess is that Condi thinks it's better to have Hamas and Fatah fight each other than Israel. Now, I agree that both are horrible groups, but that's just how I see it.
Does that mean I agree with what she is doing? Not quite sure on that one. I'm not so big on giving money to terrorists, any terrorists, but then again...
Sorry Nazar, in view of what Bush has repeatedly said, I can't buy this as anything more than hypocritical appeasement.
State Department, meet Fatah. I'm sure you'll both get along famously, since your aims appear to be the same.....
