After issuing a terse congratulations to Christine O'Donnell, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is apparently washing their hands of her.
According to FOX, they have stated that they will not be giving her any funding for the general election.
What kind of sour faced nonsense is this? You beat our designated establishment RINO for the nomination, so we're taking our ball and going home?
"We encourage the NRSC to take a night off, get some sleep, and reconsider their rash statements," Tea Party Express spokesman Levi Russell said in a written statement.
"Wake up NRSC," he added. "The reason the Tea Party movement has grown into such a powerful force is because of the failures of establishment organizations such as yours to honor the principles of the Republican Party platform."You tried to force through the most liberal Republican in Congress on the voters of Delaware and they rejected you."
They did indeed. And I think it's early days to say that Christine O'Donnell has no chance of beating Chris Coons in the general election.
After all, the conventional wisdom was that Mike Castle had a lock on the nomination and that Christine O'Donnell was just some attention seeking bimbo.
The conventional wisdom was wrong.
Now, by the way, is when we find out exactly what kind of Republican Mike Castle is. Will he come out and endorse Christine O'Donnell, work for her? Or like Linda Murkowski in Alaska, does his party loyalty and identity only go as far as his own ego?
As for O'Donnell, the worst case scenario is that she loses. And a vote fo rObama's agenda goes to DC..which is exactly what would have happened if Mike Castle had gone there instead of Chris Coons. The difference between forty nine and fifty seats in the Senate, (since Biden votes on ties) is not crucial.
If she wins, She'll be a solid conservative vote in the Senate. And I'm not counting her out just yet.

Amen brother! This kind of garbage had a lot to do with why Republicans lost big in the last 2 elections. I remember the “not one red cent campaign”.
The problem with this malicious statement is that these morons have no concept of right place, right time. Worse, they are stabbing all Tea Partiers in the back in the midst of continuing their smear campaign against O'Donnell.
Destructive doesn't begin to define this act. It is the worst sort of sabotage and proves that the NSRC is nothing more than a prop for establishment candidates; base will be damned.
