Australia has a large Lebanese immigrant population, and as you might expect, they've been agitating for Australia to condemn Israel and declassify Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. They also want Australia to join the craven appeasors at the EU and push for an immediate ceasefire.
The whinging came from a group formed by Prime Minister Howard to advise him on Australian Muslim concerns called the Muslim Community Reference Group.
According to the group's leader, Amir Ali "It's unfair because classifying Hezbollah as a terrorist group is putting it on par with al-Qaeda, when it is totally different...Hezbollah is the armed wing of the Shiite population in south Lebanon. They are not terrorists, they are fighting for their land, and there is nothing wrong in this."
PM Howard's response? `No chance, full stop.'
Note to EU heads of government; that's how a real leader behaves.
What's more the parliamentary secretary to the Immigration Minister, Andrew Robb, said he warned the Muslims against inflammatory statements...though he included Australia's Jews in the spirit of fairness.
"What I did say to them today is both Australian Lebanese community leaders and Australian Jewish community leaders have got the right to express their concerns … but first and foremost at times like this, all community leaders have an onus on them to put cohesion in Australia as the first priority."
That's telling them. As Howard himself said, not to long ago `If you live here, be Australian.'

this sums up the fallacy in the muslim outlook. in islam there is no state. as islam looks out it sees no australia. just another region of islam. or as nazar taught us, another shit-hole.
