Copenhagen's `Little Mermaid' statue is a major landmark in the Danish city's harbor. The statue, sculpted by Edvard Eriksen in honor of Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale in 1913 draws over a million visiters a year.Today, Copenhagen's residents awoke to find that someone had decided that the poor girl was a prime candidate for `reversion' to the Religion of Peace, or at least dhimmi status....and draped the Mermaid in a Muslim burka and hijab.
The police removed the Muslima costume from the Mermaid after they got complaints from residents.
Does that mean she's now an apostate and subject to sharia penalties?
